    Last minute choice on a cold & rainy Parisian night. Seated with no RSVP, party of 4. Excellent food service and atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

    This place was absolutely amazing! Best escargot and crème brulee I've ever had. Recommended it to friends that were going to Paris after us. Alexis our server that night made the experience memorable along with the food. Will return when back in town.

    French Onion soup when I was done. Too light in color and almost no flavor at all.

    TLDR: Fries, Bread, and Butter are good Onion Soup and Beef Bourguignon are bad A couple things about me...I am an American and I love French Onion soup and Beef Bourguignon. I try onion soup almost everywhere I go, the one here was not good. The soup was almost a yellowish color instead of a deep brown. The cheese and bread were ok, but since the underlying soup was like water I didn't bother finishing it. The Beef Bourguignon looked ok, but the potatoes are just hot potatoes. No seasoning, mine weren't even in the sauce really. So they added nothing. I tried the beef and the flavor was ok, but overall not good. I literally stopped eating it after 3 bites because it just wasn't good. The fries were delicious. The server laughed a bit when I asked for ketchup. Not sure why that was funny. The ketchup I didn't care for...I prefer Heinz. The French bread with butter was of course delicious.

    Truly one of the best restaurant I've eaten at in Paris. The servers were attentive to our order and offered their personal recommendations. Both the bourguignon and the French fries were stellar, a place I won't forget.

    Great service but bourguignon diddnt have much taste , escargot was flavorful as well as the frog legs. Needed more seasoning in my opinion. Great ambience and beer

    With any French restaurant, service is slow, but I was in the city to soak in the culture so I was not in a rush at all. There's only two people working the tables and running the food so if you eye a staff...think and act quick. Lots of locals around so obviously, you hope the food is as nice as it's charm. My cousin and I opted for the traditional French meal so thus we began the 3 course meal. For the appetizer, I ordered the escargot. With each dip into the olive oil+butter sauce and each bite it was all so good and deliciously fatty. Salivating at the thought of it again. My cousin had the French onion soup. Per recommendation by a kind French couple next to us we ordered the beef bourguignon as our main entree. Because we had the same order, we were given a small pot filled with LOTS of tender beef and carrots. We almost ate every bite of it, but at the end, we were defeated as four large chunks of meat stared us down. I don't think I saw any takeaway option as it is common courtesy to finish meals. We barely finished, but we ate it all. For dessert, I ordered a sorbet framboise with Vieux Marc de Bourgogne. Talk about boozy ice cream. The waitress left the bottle at the table if I wanted to pour extra in my sorbet but it hits you quick. It's suppose to save you from indigestion and bad breath. Go for it.

    Good menu and a photography menu for tourist. The bar area is good with some good draft. The place is casual and people are friendly. The place can get busy and made service less attentive, but overall they provide great service. Most of all the price is decent at such location.

    The service is so slow... Not just French slow, but slow slow, so if you're starving, this should not be your top choice. My friend was recommended to try the entrecôte at least once during our trip so after some Yelping, we chose Le Clos Bourguignon. Very open vibe with a bar and a smallish dining area. On balmy nights, they open the front doors so ask to sit in the back if you don't want to smell cigarette smoke... Ordered: beef bourguignon, entrecôte, and rump steak with foie gras sauce. Didn't realize all three were pretty popular but based on the reviews now, I'd also recommend these three. Starting with the foie gras, which has become a standard appetizer now, we took our time and even asked for extra bread. Then 45 mins later... the food finally came. I need to add that there were only five filled tables in the entire restaurant. Yet it took 30 mins. If I could insert eye-rolling into the review, I would. Beef bourguignon was great, rump steak gets a thumbs up (I wasn't used to the sauce, but it's pretty good to dip the fries in LOL), and entrecôte was a touch on the raw side. Finished off with creme brulee and called it a night. Probably spent at least two hours here. Sigh. Good food. Slow service.

    Don't believe the 4 star rating. I ordered a NY strip. It was very dry, chewy, and tough. Blue cheese sauce was bland. I even told the manager was not good, but it didn't make a difference. No apologies were given. I left more than half the steak; untouched. Food was definitely the reason I cannot give it more than a 1 star. The only positive thing about this place was the service. Nice people, but I still wouldn't return. Beware!

    Came here as it was close to the opera. We had a fantastic time. The ambience was cozy. All around us sat locals speaking French. The food was fantastic. I highly recommend the steak and potatoes. Not only does it smell delicious but cooked to perfection. I also thought the escargot was large and good portion for €9,50. The beef stew was their special and did not disappoint. The steak tartare was ok. French onion soup was also on point. For a busy night, the service was very good. Overall we would definitely come back again. Good food and great value.

    Lovely place with very friendly staff. They spoke some English and were helpful! The duck and steak were yummy and prices were ok! The place does not have AC which was difficult during the heat wave (37 C, 99 F), but I understand this is atypical of Paris.

First off, this is an iconic historic hotel. Beautiful location at Place Vendome. My friend and I were hungry and on a weekday night and randomly walked in and were promptly seated. I'm not sure how it normally goes here regarding wait times and reservations. The French onion soup and lobster rolls were divine. The server would walk around with a bread box and would bring the whole box to the table and you could pick from there. We had cereal bread and an onion focaccia. Amazing! They gave us complimentary chocolates too. The vibes and ambience are immaculate. It looks like a classic fancy restaurant. There was a piano player too! They gave us a little chair for our purses. This was a lovely Parisian experience. Highly recommend.
