But another dish was also ordered at my table, an unusual choice for the two of us dining there. It was a special of the day, Araignee de Porc (23€), and not something I'd personally have chosen. It was delicious. French chefs know what to do with this cut of meat (pork) and I was wowed. The salad (Salad Nicoise, 23€) was almost forgotten as the pork dish took center stage. Service here is terse. The restroom is down a steep flight of stairs. The place serves many tourists, and does so in a manner that doesn't inspire one to harbor overly fond memories. But here's the recipe for success: find out what the chef's special is that day and order that. That's how you do Café Mademoiselle.
