5 stars - and it was so great that we dined here twice! You can find 3 and 4 Michelin star restaurants nearby and follow crowds to the tourist traps. This restaurant was in a very safe and fancy part of Paris but also down a side street that was absolutely peaceful. We were here the first night of the Rugby World Cup where France defeated the New Zealand All Blacks. The folks that run this restaurant seem like a family but if they are not - they really run the place well and give off a family vibe. Anything here was amazing. In 2 nights we tried these items - Classic Onion Soup (must try) Mussels in cheese (sounded strange but this was a home run) The still water in the photo was ice cold and hit the spot on a sweltering 97 degree day. We had rib eye and filet the first night with sauces and side dishes. Hummus and pita was AMAZING - it was like it was from Lebanon or Morocco! There was a fish special the second night that we tried - also fantastic. Some of the stuff we couldn't pronounce so we just politely showed the waiter on the menu. Dessert specials every night - get the special - it's all made there. There was some type of pink and green pie that we wanted to try just because it looked cool but it had sold out. We are sure it must have been the thing to have. We arrived late the second night - and almost every patron had this dessert on their plate! Wine selection was great. In Paris - i would estimate 80% of the restaurants and shops had no air conditioning. The temperature in the restaurant was perfect. No time limit for tables - sit and chat, eat and laugh - I highly recommend this restaurant if you find yourself in Paris, France. It seems in Paris they don't tip - but we did and it seemed like a pleasant surprise and we enjoyed that as well.

Like someone else said, what a find! We were in the area and had a wonderful dinner here. The waiter spoke perfect English and was very attentive. Our family started off with a delicious cheese board and assorted nuts. For my entree I had an amazing Norwegian salad (I'm drooling still thinking about it). It was packed with the best smoked salmon and was topped with a lovely vinaigrette. Would absolutely return!

    Menu

Simple dinner menu. Salads, fish, steak, ribs, onion soup, escargot, grilled mussels. Wine menu has more options than foods. :) Outdoor seatings, indoor also has 2nd level, which is nice! Excellent service, reasonable price, grilled sea-bream was a little dry but still good! You have a choice of rice or frites. Grilled mussels were perfect, less work when done this way instead of on the shelves. Duck foie gras goes great with the "sweet jam" and baguette. We did not order desserts bc it was too much foods.

    Cafe

In from New York City, staying at a local hotel, this was a delicious find one late night after sightseeing and the very next day for dinner. Love the ambiance! Has an assortment of choices- my mom had the French onion soup and I had an entire fish! Hot and yummy!

Salase Niçoise! Seared Tuna, hard-boiled eggs, wonderfully fresh salad veggies.

Delicious, friendly, excellent hospitality, really lovely atmosphere! I would eat here every night! I wish I had taken more photos- we started with a nice wine selection + a Non-Alcoholic beer (thx!!), pâte w/cornichons and petite lettuce + bread, and the classic French onion soup. Both starters were very nicely done- light soup, fresh/flavorful pâte. Once we had lingered over these sufficiently, our server removed our starter plates and delivered our mains: Tuna Tartare and Salade Niçoise. The Tuna Tartare was accompanied by a petite greens salade + potatoes, was perfectly seasoned and my dinner companion raved about it. The Niçoise was delicious- seared Tuna, fresh, crisp lettuces, sliced tomato, hard boiled eggs, sliced/roasted peppers, chilled green beans, delicate anchovies and a couple of mouth-watering capers! Such nice, fresh ingredients, wonderfully balanced, and generous portions. We finished the meal with a créme brûlée that was just as this classic should be: creamy, not too sweet, and a nutty-sugar, hard shell surface. The staff are very friendly, welcoming, speak English well (and offer a genuinely understandable English menu), and generally encourage patrons to make themselves at home. The decor is just lovely, not too "rustic" and not too stiffly pressed- they strike a lovely, classy-but-inviting balance. There's so much more to try on their menu (and they have specials daily for starters, mains, and desserts), that I can tell you, we will be back! All the nice things you've read in other reviews? They're spot on. Do yourself the favor of bringing some good company along and eating here- you'll want to sit a while. Merci Beaucoup!

    Creme Brûlée

This place is SO good and has many French staples. The service is really nice here and is probably the best food I had in Paris.

Very good service and located near Madeline area of Paris. Didn't order appetizers as I wasn't too hungry but I knew I wanted some steak frites. Perfect temperature for me. A little rare from my request for "a point" (medium for American standards). Tasted good with the pepper sauce cream on the side. It also came with salad and a small potion of frites. Although I wasn't craving for sweets, I ordered chocolate mousse. It was good and not too sweet.

    Salmon Tartare

What a find...excellent food and service. I had the salmon tartare, my wife had the duck and son had the steak tartare. All were excellent. The service was great- wait did I mention that twice? Because it was. Definitely a favorite while visiting Paris.

    Baked salmon & norvegienne salad.

Found this place on Yelp, decided to try it based on everyone else's reviews and they were not wrong. Truly a gem. We sat inside and it was so lovely. Everything was delicious. The cauliflower soup hit my soul. The escargot was fantastic too. The staff were all very pleasant and patient with us foreigners. 100/10 recommend.

We were seated at a table facing the smaller street with IKEA City. Not much people-watching happened given shops were already closed in the evening and thus less people shopping on the streets. We ordered the croque monsieur and croque madame. The difference between the two is that the croque madame comes with a fried sunny side up egg. This was heavy but so yummy! The egg yolk makes a great sauce to soak up this cheesy and hammy toast. This came with a salad on the side which had a vinegar based dressing coated on it. The only thing is we had miscommunication with the waitress about drinks. We asked for water (l'eau) but they gave us distilled water in a bottle which costed us 8 euros. I learned it's important to learn to specifically ask for carafe d'eau (tap water in French) to get free water! Felt a bit bad that we were overcharged. Just gotta be careful with communicating next time. All in all, I enjoyed trying the amazing sandwich that is a croque madame. Wanted to give 4 stars for the food but the bottled water still irks me.

First off, this is an iconic historic hotel. Beautiful location at Place Vendome. My friend and I were hungry and on a weekday night and randomly walked in and were promptly seated. I'm not sure how it normally goes here regarding wait times and reservations. The French onion soup and lobster rolls were divine. The server would walk around with a bread box and would bring the whole box to the table and you could pick from there. We had cereal bread and an onion focaccia. Amazing! They gave us complimentary chocolates too. The vibes and ambience are immaculate. It looks like a classic fancy restaurant. There was a piano player too! They gave us a little chair for our purses.
