Beef cheeks with buttery mashed potatoes

Quit reading reviews and just trust me this place is delicious. The beef cheeks are so tender, served in a wine reduction that was so good. The French onion was delicious too And the angel food cake was light, airy the perfect amount of sweet and lovely light dessert after a filling meal. You won't regret this dining experience! Kudos to the chef and the serving staff as well who worked together, never let my glass empty and were quick with bring anything we needed. Fantastic experience!

We ventured upon this cozy cottage restaurant after touring Versailles. The staff was very pleasant and communicated in multiple languages. We enjoyed the Sea Bass over mushrooms in à decadent cream sauce. Unfortunately there is no evidence because it was devoured! The French Onion Soup was the best we have ever tasted. You must try the sponge cake with cream. It was light and airy. And the Chocolate was dreamy, thick and flavorful. We loved it!

If you're in Paris and visiting the Palace at Versailles, you should definitely stop at this wonderful restaurant for an authentic French experience with delicious food that is reasonably priced. We had French onion soup with beef stew, and escargot - everything was superb. And the service was exceptional. Hopefully your waiter is Jeremie - he was fantastic.

Duck with a side of French fries

One of the only places open on a Monday so we tried however was not impressed. Looks good but the taste I have had much better. We didn't eat any of it and then got yelled at from the waiter that we where stupid Americans. The waiter was so upset that you would think he birthed the food ‍absolutely horrible experience and I recommend mc Donald's is better!!

We were in a rush and did not get to finish our meal here, so I cannot speak on the entrees. The chef had stepped away at a critical time, this delaying our meal, only the adults though. The children got their meals right away. They have a QR code you scan to see the menu and can translate it on the website to several languages. The staff also spoke very good English to help us with our inadequate French. They have a kids meal for 12 euros which is very substantial. It comes with your choice of either beef or fish, fried or mashed potatoes and a scoop of ice cream for dessert. Honestly, I could have eaten the kid portion and been satisfied. We also tried the ceviche and foie gras. Best foie gras I had had thus far during my trip. They have prixe fix menu where you can get a starter and a main for 30 euros and some other combinations for a set price. There is an indigo parking garage nearby if you cannot find street parking. Great place to eat and was disappointed I did not get to try an entree.

B and I came here for dinner after visiting the Grand Trianon. We were super hungry and we found this place through Yelp. The rating was really high and we were not disappointed. On the day we went, there were not a lot of people. Menu item selections were very limited. I guess they only want to serve what they are good at making. B ordered the Roasted Tuna and I ordered the Beef Tartar (raw). This restaurant must get a lot of tourists. They have the menu in different languages: French, British and Spanish. Portion size was huge. I had some of the Roasted Tuna and OMG it was delicious. The roasted eggplants under the roasted tuna was amazing. It was unhealthy but whatever. My beef tartar was not as delicious as the Roasted Tuna but it was ok. They served bread along with our meal. Service was good. I do recommend coming here. There are plenty of outside seating and a few indoor seats.

After racking up a lot of steps at the Versailles Palace, we were ready to relax with a couple of well deserved drinks and good food. We ambled over to this tiny little bistro and enjoyed the outdoor seating with very good baguette slices and Aperol spritz. 9.20€ Traditional onion gratin - French Croutons and Emmental French onion soup: This might be one of the best French onion soups I have had. Besides having a golden brown cheese top and a broth full of sweet onions, there is a crouton layer. That's right. Underneath the cheese layer on top is crunchy bread layer, so every bite of cheese has crunchy, broth-soaked bread. 19.50€ Charolais Beef Tartare 180g, fries, salad mixed w/ herbs: I did not enjoy the beef tartare as much as I would have liked to. There wasn't much to it to give it any wow factor. The raw ground beef was on the lean side, and I think a fattier type of meat would be better for this dish. Also, I don't see a point to serving raw beef shaped from a circular ring when I need to mix up all the seasoning agents, thereby destroying its circular shape. The aioli and green onion paste injected a lot of flavor, but it was mostly the acidic flavor in the aioli that took over. 19.50€ French Burger - Artisan bread, French beef 150g, cheese fondue, fries, mixed salad with herbs, bearnaise sauce: This burger doesn't look like much at first, but it was very good! The beef patty was a nice, juicy medium rare, and had a dollop of cheese sauce, with good bread. The fries were a touch soggy. The food in general was quite good, but the steak tartare could be better. The service was quite friendly. Overall, I give this place a 7.75/10.

I wanted to have a proper French meal and took a guess that this place would have one. One of the best meals of my life. Great service. Extremely memorable. Look at the pictures they speak for themselves.

The scallops were not good. The burger was good. The potatoes au gratin, was the star of the dinner. The dessert was good too!

Except they know like us somebody living three streets away from this place. Le Moutbaron is a pub/bistro/billardhall and in the daytime it looks as if it's been closed since the 80ies. Kind of shabby, not that inviting in the daylight. But just like Robert Pattinson it looks way more inviting from dusk till dawn. We've been there twice. First because we just didnt't find any other place to get a beer on a saturday night in Versailles. It was kind of crowdet and the service needet a while. We also had a little problem communicating, since one of the waitresses (is the the plural of waitress? I hope so) spoke english just as bad as I speek french, but we tried our best and got what we ordered. (Two beer called Stella, better tham Kronbourg anyway). Actually we had a nice night there and even another Stella, whice was about 6 EUR, as far as I remember, a normal price in France. Oh right now on their webside they disclaim 4,80EUR. I don't remember it beein that cheap? Strange. Ah OK, I see it's the daytime card. At night (after 7 pm) 6EUR was right. Strange onlinecard though. The second time we went there for dinner accompained by our host living nearby and speaking better french than me. The menue was bilingual strange, because, unlike many places in Paris with only a french menue I don't think many tourist go astray to find this. I was very interested in fries on salad for about 5EUR. I wondered what this would look like. (I was serious, i did never mean to make fun of the French and their english) The boys went for burgers (about 12EUR). And fries. Big fat french fries. They're awesome. The waiter this night as far as I remeber one of the owners was speeking english quite good and considering his T-shirt was a fan of the british empier anyway. I asked for the fries on salad. Seriously. He looked a bit surprised and step by step we found out that it simply was a misspelling an meant was fries OR salad. In French it was spelled right of course, but as I said my French sucks. All of us laught about it and I got a really big bunch of fries and an even bigger salad on top. The food was OK, the boys liked their burgers, I think that the fries as well as the salad would have liked some more salt and pepper, but our host told us before that this is pretty normal in France. They generally spice very coutiously here. After all we had a fun night here. It was warm, we sat close to a window, and whenever the boys went out to have a smoke, they stood in frot of my window an I was leaning over the window bench like a kiosk lady. It's a fun place. You can definately go there. I never played billard there cause I hate billard. Ok, I didn't expect i was able to write such a long article in English. Please correct mistakes if you find them.
