We got worried when we saw all the bad reviews. But this place seems to be always crowded. We walked past this place a couple times on different days and saw that lots of people come here. So, we decided to go for it! Give it a chance. 10/10 for the snails (escargot) lol My fiancé ate these! I wouldn't dareee lol It looked so gross to me lol But he loved it. The snails were cooked in a buttery, pesto like sauce. 8/10 for the duck breast My fiancé was just eating all the animals on this day lol He said the duck breast was just okay. Cute little place! I loved my beef bourguignon and my husband liked the bavette. Great place to stop after a long day of sightseeing.

I can't attest much to the food because we only had fries. However the service was great. The staff was friendly and it was a great end of the night spot to have a drink at. Prior to our March '23 visit we last dined here pre pandemic in Feb. 2019. It was just as busy as pre pandemic times. The difference this time was myself having stupid accident in Rome before getting to Paris; thus, with crutches plus a wheelchair navigating Paris' narrow sidewalks were tricky and made things self conscious for me. And because our hotel was just a few steps from Le Buci I just wanted to get lunch over with at somewhere near. I have to again state that the staff were just as accommodating and welcoming like before. The manager saw that my husband and I were struggling with the idiotic wheelchair that he even asked a table if they wouldn't mind moving to another table so that we (total of 4 people) could all fit in. Thankfully the two occupants agreed & two tables were joined up. All the food we ordered were great, and they were cooked to order as some restaurants do prepare meals ahead of time then reheat them. This wasn't the case here. I am sorry others didn't have a good experience, but this cafe is not just for tourists. In fact, there are always many locals dining there & the two occupants who moved to accommodate us were locals. read more

Terrible service made Café Buci (at the busy corner of Dauphine and Buci) a short 30-minute hiccup in an otherwise wonderful evening. We ended up just paying for our drinks and heading elsewhere for dinner after repeated attempts to order. My glass of Chardonnay was average while my wife's Mojito was sweet on syrup and light on rum. Neither was memorable enough to make us stay at Le Buci. So we didn't. Buci is a bistro on a busy corner in the very touristy 6th arrondisement, and they serve basic bistro food extremely well(perfect onion soup, for example). Cute little place! My husband and I stumbled in here during one of many Parisian storms. We thought we'd grab a small bite and wait for the rain to pass. We ended up settling in for a long meal. The ambiance is very charming, quaint and exactly what you would expect from a Parisian Bistro. We started with an amazing bottle of wine, the best we had on the entire trip. My husband had a really good peppered chicken for dinner. Now, I know you're thinking, how can chicken be Yelp worthy. The accompanying pepper gravy sauce was to die for! Chicken is not just chicken in this place. They hooked it up! I had one of the salads (I was SO tired of food by this point). I regretted not getting an entree after tasting the chicken and ended up eating half of the husbands. My salad was really good too though. Whatever dressing they used should be bottled and sold. We wrapped up the meal with a Grand Marnier Crepe, which out waiter lit on fire as he served. I had to grab a quick picture of my flaming dessert, much to our waiters enjoyment. I came in to the restaurant as a refugee since I was exposed to one of the heaviest rains I have ever seen in my life. Being already totally wet until jumping from taxi to restaurant takes out the pleasure a little bit but the hamburger with a French cheese helped to improve the mood. We were scrambling at 11pm to try to find something decent, so at the recommendation of another closing restaurant server, we chose Buci. Now after making that decision, we wish we had just grabbed some pizza from a food cart. If you choose to eat here, here are some pro tips: a: The pesto is flavorless and the staff readily admit that the dish is pretty bad, but only after you have half-eaten it. b: The eggplant dish is very bland and cold - basically braised, unflavored eggplant on the outside, and mushy "goat cheese" on the inside. c: You will be overpaying for what you get. d: You are rolling the dice with food poisoning. You may even have to give up your breakfast the next day. Just ate dinner there. Our last night here and my cousin wanted to sit in an outdoor bistro to people watch. The waiter spoke excellent english and suggested a three course, but we were not that hungry. We all ordered salads. We never ate any of the food here, but our hotel was just around the corner so we ended up parking ourselves at Le Buci four times during our stay -- all to drink beers and watch the buzz of activity on this busy corner in St. Germain. Le Buci has that quintessential Parisian al fresco seating; the hurried but polite wait-staff; the myriad of chatters and smokers and voyeurs that you'd expect to be lounging in the middle of any spring day. Le Buci is a nice little brasserie in the 6th arrondissement in a pretty touristy area. Here, many of the diners were locals, and the place was busy for lunch on a Friday. I had the daily special which was fish and chips that day and came with a drink. I chose red wine, and had a nice bordeaux with my meal. It was a really good portion of fish, perfectly crisp with a side of fries. I was more impressed with the bread that came on the side than the fries, but both were good. I also loved their tartar sauce. It was obviously made in house and well flavored. The meal was great, and my server was very nice. He also spoke English although we spoke mostly in French. I will say that the smoke here is offensive. The patio, even though it's enclosed in the winter time, allows smoking. We sat next to a couple that got into a quiet but impactful argument during their meal. He got up and stormed away for a bit. Then he came back maybe five minutes later and sat down defiantly, crossing his legs like a real man*. They argued quietly for another few minutes and then he stormed off again. She left maybe ten minutes later and we watched her walk down the street, the same street he stormed down. My husband and I lunched here on New Year's Day with one of our friends from Paris. The place was bustling and you could tell the servers were hurried, but that said, the service was faster than most other places we went to while in Paris. The ambiance is cute. Very cozy, very European. The food was very good. I had the Chevre Chaud salad and I have to say it was one of the best salads I've ever eaten, not to mention, very filling. The chevre cheese drizzled with honey was just heavenly. I kept considering getting that same salad at other restaurants thereafter, but knew it couldn't possibly be as good. Give its prominent location right on the corner of the block, I'm sure this place gets a lot of traffic simply due to that. But if you're visiting Paris like we were, staying in St. Germain and looking for a good lunch or dinner spot, this is a nice one to try.
