Very cute cafe! It's Palestinian-Syrian and you can really feel the vibes when you are here. It's very spacious and has room to work or just chill and enjoy coffee and baked goods. They have a large variety of drink options and it's super close to ASU. Everyone was so nice and sweet too, and the customer service was on point! I will be returning and love supporting a local business.
I just found my new favorite coffee spot! Walking in I saw the vibe & authenticity of the restaurant and loved it. You could smell the coffee as soon as you stepped in. The location is centrally located & has so many things to offer! From jewelry to accessories & of course plenty of coffee options with a few bites too. The service was good, there were a lot of people ahead of us and we didn't really wait that long! There was also plenty of space for sitting for both small or larger parties. I tried the date iced latte & the baklava iced coffee. We were able to get skim milk which I appreciated having a few milk alternatives there. The caramel date iced coffee was on the sweeter side & was a unique coffee that I think is worth trying! The baklava iced coffee was also sweet but slightly less than the Date, which was a nice middle ground. It also had a crunch in there maybe pistachio/nuts? Paid $9 for each of the 20oz lattes which for the size and amount- I think is very fairly priced. I also heard the chai is a must try here so that will be my next purchase next time!
Such a beautiful cafe with a unique middle Eastern feel! We came on a Sunday and it was so busy but I was impressed how quickly and efficiently the staff worked to get everyone's orders out. The service was great! My friend got the salted Carmel date latte which I tasted and it was really good. I got the strawberry acai refresher which is way better than Starbucks. We shared a chocolate pistachio croissant and it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly flakey and just enough chocolate. Beautiful atmosphere and I also liked how they had other items for sale like beautiful jewelry pieces. They were a tad pricey so maybe next time. I would definitely come back.
My new favorite coffee shop for sure!! I've been meaning to visit since they opened and it was well worth the wait. The drink menu is expansive and the baristas are wonderful. The strawberry matcha was the best one I've had. The atmosphere is also perfect and cozy to hang out and get some work done.
Pretty place to come study late at night. On crowded day, it might be challenging to find parking/seating. I'd drive past the shop first to see if there is a table. Strong wifi, good lighting, giving bookstore vibes. Fast service. Their fig matcha was good, giving just a tiny hint of fig that's not overwhelming.
I've had Laymoon Cafe on my list for a while and finally made my way in May. I arrived early, around 8:00 am and was able to find parking right in front. The staff greeted me as soon as I entered. Wow, the interior is stunning! The details are incredible. I love the mix of modern and traditional. The staff was great in helping me decide what to order. I ordered the following: Baklava latte $8 Spiced zaatar avo toast $15 Baklava $6 Everything was delicious! Though the tiramisu latte is their most popular, they use house-made syrup for the baklava latte and that's music to my ears. It wasn't too sweet either. The spiced zaatar avo toast comes with zaatar, feta, lemon, olive oil, and pomegranate seeds. The flavor was nice and light. I would have liked more avocado, especially for the $15 price tag. The baklava was phenomenal. I savored every bite.
Came here at 10pm and it was poppin! If you need a late night hang out or study this is the perfect place. It was plenty of seating inside and I love the decor. They have carpets on the ceilings and booths to sit in, perfect for photo op. Feels like I transported into the Aladdin movie. They sell jewelry and other merchandise leading up to the register. I got the caprese avocado toast. It was $12 but the portion was generous. I didn't expect for it to be that big. Also got the upside down strawberry matcha. The matcha puree is made in house. The matcha is nice and good balance of bitterness which I love. I don't like it when places sell matcha latte and you can't taste any matcha at all. So this place definitely nailed it. They also plenty of different types of coffee, so I need to come back and try that next time. The staff were really friendly as well and passionate about explaining what's in their drinks.
This cafe is so cute! There were so many tables that even though it was pretty busy when we went, we found a table no problem. Service was quick and we got our drinks within 10 minutes. We ordered a strawberry matcha and a caramelized fig & vanilla matcha. Both were yummy! The matcha isn't super strong but the fig flavor was really good so I didn't mind too much. Rating Caramelized fig matcha: 4/5
Beautiful restaurant with great drinks. Comfortable vibe and loved the diverse clientele and Palestine items for sale. Great hangout for students to study or who don't want to go to the Bars. We ordered the rose cardamom latte (delicious), mint lemonade (fantastic), and lebneh toast. Wish they had more food. The lebneh toast was good but a bit overpriced ($12) for a slice of regular toast. Will return!
We absolutely loved it here. Wonderful Baklava latte, Pistachio baklava, and Mango Passionfruit lemonade. Gorgeous interior, very beautiful. Packed on a Sunday afternoon. Lovely regional items for sale as well, mainly jewelry, soap, bags, and hair items.
Laymoon has been on my list since its grand opening, and I've been waiting for the right time to give it a visit! When you step in, you see a community of people seated all around you. There are study groups, young and older couples, families, individuals working, etc. it feels very coworking-friendly, which is super ideal to me! Gorgeous interior and furniture with middle eastern accents. You walk through some boutique and local merchandise as you find the counter to order. I ordered myself a mango guava matcha. The matcha color was PERRRRRFECT and at first taste, you can tell it was going to be a good one. Once stirred, I got all the flavors, and it was actually heaven, you get mango guava summer goodness, and flavorful matcha to balance. For working: there's a variety of seating and plenty of outlets everywhere. Water station is by the counter. I'd come back again to work!!
Immediately go!!!! The cutest place EVER. I love it inside; the vibe and decor really transport you to a middle eastern cafe. Very kind staff and quick to make drinks and food even when busy. It's a large space with lots of tables and booths, and a little market area with jewelry, and other items to buy. Every single drink, matcha and espresso, sounded delicious. I ordered the iced tiramisu latte and zaatar spiced avocado toast. Both were soooo tasty and I would get the both again next visit. Beautiful place, great food and drinks, and Palestinian owned. Go support local and check it out!
The ambiance of this place is to die for. The food options are very unique. Their matcha is good, very nutty. The staff is friendly. The overall place is not just aesthetically pleasing, but also spacious enough to meet friends and chat with them or work on projects while you are their enjoying your beverage/ food.
Such a cool cafe! Beautiful decor, friendly, sweet staff and a great selection of unique and delicious drinks and pastries! It's a large space so plenty of room to hang out, study or meet up with some friends. I highly recommend checking this place out! read more

My sister and I were looking for a new study spot and lemme just say: WOW. Catch me at this new cafe from now on. Not only do they serve amazing matcha, they are also open hella late. Unlike other cafes, you can actually taste the matcha. I got the strawberry one, very refreshing and not too sweet which I love because I am not a fan of overly sweet drinks. My sister got the fig matcha. I feel like it's hard nowadays to find a place open to study til 12am on weekdays and 1am on weekends. Most coffee/cafes open early, but what about a place for the night owls? We'll be coming back to this cozy spot again!! read more

It's a beautiful cafe with great attention to detail. I stopped by with a friend on a Monday afternoon and we didn't have to wait long for our drinks but the place was pretty busy. I ordered the Spanish latte and my friend got the fig & vanilla matcha - both were good and on the sweeter side. The service was pretty bad - the girl who rang us up barely looked up to greet us and when I asked what the baklava syrup was like she pointed to the baklava dessert - I've had baklava plenty of times but never a syrup, she was just very unhelpful and couldn't answer any questions regarding the menu. If you want a place to study or talk with friend's I do recommend - I was just not impressed with the service at all. read more

Very cute and posh coffee shop. They have great drink options and pastries. Service is relatively quick considering the lines. Some street parking and some lot parking available. read more
I finally made it to LayMoon Café. What an excellent addition to the downtown Tempe area. There was a bit of a line because it's a new establishment with a lot of hype, but it lives up to the hype and the line moves fast. The service was great with helpful recommendations from the owner on which Matcha to get. The drink was better than the Matcha I had in Kyoto honestly. The cookie was warm with gooey caramel, next time I want to try a bagel or toast. The interior is decorated beautifully with a few merchandise items you can purchase. read more

I went during Ramadan when they're open 24/7, stopped in around 7:15am. There was a big group ahead of us but ordering/receiving drinks went fairly quick, was probably out before 7:30! The drinks are fantastic, well balanced flavors and strong matcha. The honey comb pastry is so good, sweet from the honey but savory from the sesame. Will definitely come back! read more
My girlfriend and went there on a Saturday night during Ramadan, since they were open 24 hours. The line was long but expected, not a deal breaker. Cool ambiance with rugs on the ceiling and multiple large openings on a nice desert "winter" night. I ordered the Baklava Latte and my girlfriend got the Butter Cookie Latte. We also the baklava. I've never seen baklava like this... it was if it was a calzone made into slices with a bunch of pistachio filling and a bunch of honey on the outside of the fila dough. My drink was only good W/O stirring. Once I stirred it up to get the "mocha" up all I/we could taste was the milk and seemed watered down. My gf liked her butter cookie drink and so did I cuz at least it had flavor and a bit sweet. The vibe is nice and inviting too. read more
Beautiful coffee shop! It has a cozy Mediterranean vibe which would be perfect for solo coffee dates! We went on a Saturday morning so it was super busy with no seating, but while waiting they have different stations of jewelry and apparel that keeps you occupied. We tried the upside down strawberry matcha, tiramisu latte, and cloud matcha latte. All super delicious and super "let me post this on Yelp " worthy for all my Elite members! We also tried the Labne and honey toast and it's delicious especially if you like a lemon and honey taste. read more

3/14/26: Finally! After reading all the wonderful 4- and 5-star reviews, we were able to pop in to Laymoon this particular Saturday afternoon. Y'all weren't lying about this place. :-) We wanted to stop in a couple months ago, while checking out some flower festival on Mill, but when we walked by Laymoon, the line inside went from the register all the way to the back of the shop -- AND there were people waiting outside. There is even a sign on their window that says "if the line is to this spot, please wait outside". Holy cow, that's how popular they are. Neither of us wanted to wait that long or deal with that large of a crowd. We stopped in this Saturday after perusing the Tempe Festival of the Arts, and I can only surmise since it was also spring break for ASU, we were able to get inside the door & get in line. It was not as busy & despite there being only one register, the line went pretty quickly. As other reviewers state, it's a gorgeous space. Well lit, colorful, clean. They have a few tables / booths alcoves designated for 3 or more people & I did not see anyone ignoring that rule. There was a gentleman constantly going from table to table, cleaning off trash, wiping down spaces. Clearly cleanliness is important to them, so thank you for that. Drinks: caramelized fig & vanilla; mango peach. My fig drinks was delicious, the matcha smooth & creamy. The peach drink wasn't bad but I def prefer the match. Food: we only order the pistachio cookie & damn, was that delicious. We should have ordered a spare to take home. My only critique / suggestion, is to stop calling names when orders are ready. Instead, use the order number. Multiple people can have the same or similar-sounding names, but there's only one number. And if it's super busy or noisy, mistakes can happen. One did happen, in fact. My sister provided her name (Diane) but they entered (and called out Diana). Our first drink to come out I didn't pick up because (I thought) it wasn't our order -- and I did see a guy pick up the drink, making me certain it was not ours. When he brought it back, however, that's when I thought "maybe that is ours". I saw a small plate up there, too, and when the second drink came out for "Diana" I went up to pick up everything. Now, had they called out "order 185", there would have been less confusion. Needless to say, if we're ever in the vicinity of ASU again -- and school is not in session -- we will definitely hit up Laymoon again. read more
Great ambiance and so nicely decorated but the matcha was way too milky. There was barely any matcha taste and the upside down strawberry matcha tasted like strawberry milk. The lattes are better and have nice cold foam. Great space to do work once it clears out a bit more and since it is new, hopefully the drinks also stabilize and get better. read more

Laymoon Cafe is all I want in a local coffee shop. The ambiance, food, and drinks are amazing. The only thing missing is more seating because the place is always so packed (Quite obviously due to how popular the spot is)!! read more

The vibes are immaculate--so cozy and welcoming inside. Perfect place to socialize! We had the simsim spiced latte and tiramisu latte and both were great. The chocolate pistachio croissant has been the best chocolate/pistachio anything I've had (and I've tried plenty of dubai chocolate inspired food)! Staff were so sweet and one came around to give us a sample of a chai drink that was delicious. The worst thing will probably be the parking, but that comes with the location. You might get lucky and find metered spots outside! read more

This would be my spot if I lived in Tempe. The flavors really blew me away. Unique twists on traditional and authentic coffees and teas and they still manage to stay true to the culture. Everything is beautiful, from the decor, to the plating, to the flavor combinations. They have a small collection of non-coffee items as well, which make for a perfect gift or memento. It was packed, but service was surprisingly quick and they were all so nice. I think I even spotted Mom & Pop cooking up the desserts in the kitchen. I will without a doubt be returning! read more

I went to Laymoon Cafe for my first time on Saturday morning as I was in town on my bachelorette trip in Scottsdale + I really enjoyed it! We were looking for a cute coffee spot with good drinks + brews + can confidently say that Laymoon did the job for us. I ordered the Maple Spiced Latte (iced) + also ordered the Lime Cooler because I wanted a coffee but also a fruity, refreshing beverage. The Maple Spiced Latte was beautifully flavored - it didn't taste like there were "syrup pumps" in the drink but rather real flavors which I really appreciated. My Lime Cooler was exactly what I was looking for - refreshing, tasty, + hydrating all in one. In addition to great beverages + vibes, Laymoon also had a variety of little gifts like hair clips, tote bags, + rings that customers could shop from which I thought was really cool. Definitely check out Laymoon while you are in town whether you need a good morning pick-me-up, a nice place to work remotely, or a cute coffee date with a friend! I cannot recommend enough. read more

It's not an easy task to find really good places that sell quality/good tasting matcha. Laymoon Cafe shocked me as I thought with such a range in menu it would be alright. Glad to say I have a new matcha spot and will be recommending. read more

i got the tiramisu latte and my friend got the carmelized fig matcha latte. For food we got the labne bagel with zatar and chocolate chip pistachio croissant the flavor is there! This is hands down the best coffee shop to come to tempe! The service is impeccable. Despite the rush, they are efficient and quick. I forgot to ask for my drink half sweet and they remade it without any attitude (which is rare because i feel like baristas nowadays have short tempers when it comes to remaking drinks) this is such a vibey place and a great place to get work done. the music isn't too loud which i appreciated when i forgot my headphones one day. it's so gorgeous in here! I love bringing my friends and enjoying great sips and yummy food! definitely check it out read more

Beautiful ambience, kind staff, and I loved supporting a family-run Palestinian business. The strawberry that was used in the Matcha however just tasted like Monin syrup. Not sure if that's what was used but that's what it looks like and tasted like and for waiting an hour and 30 minutes in line and paying about eight dollars for one drink... I would've liked higher quality strawberry. BUT I really appreciate how the lady that worked there hand whisked all of the Matchas. They don't batch make it. read more

I love this place! It's very close to the Mill Ave area but parking is pretty easy to find. The inside is beautifully decorated and there is a good amount of seating if you are a student/WFH. I ordered the golden cloud matcha along with their pistachio caramel cookie and both were delicious. Both were pretty sweet so I would keep that in mind if you prefer less sweet options. This business is also Palestinian and Syrian owned so please come out and support them. Will be coming again if I'm ever in the area! read more
to begin, i found my coffee to be very delicious!! i got their maple spiced latte (w black sesame), and even my bestie who came w me preferred it over her matcha (and she always prefers matcha over coffee). my bestie got their cookie butter matcha and said it was just okay compared to all the other spots she's tried matcha at. it also seemed as though there was no foam on top of her matcha drink even though it was listed in the description. half way through her drink she found a hair/it got stuck in her straw and the cookie butter and she pulled it out - definitely dulled the experience a bit. unfortunately we noticed a bit later on that we could also actually see the hair in pictures. their service was pretty quick for the amount of business they had, and their space is very lovely!!! read more

finding parking is a little hectic and this place was crowded with people, surprisingly for how busy it was i got my order fairly quickly, i got the cardamon rose latte which was alright id give it a 6.5/10, the rose was lacking in flavor and the coffee itself tasted a little burnt, the avocado toast was delectable! best one i've ever had, i got the strawberry açaí refresher for my toddler and he loved it, the customer service here was very friendly and the prices were just right, i will come back, id recommend coming as early as possible to avoid the herd of people read more

The chocolate pistachio croissant was AMAZING. Get there early in the day, before it sells out. They will heat it up for you. first of all, the cafe is beautiful. the details in their design, from the tiles to the colors to the light fixtures to the paint on the walls, it feels so inviting and home-y. it feels like an invitation to someone's space. on top of that, there is plenty of seating. great place to study and chit chat. bernabe ordered the caramelized fig matcha, it was DELICIOUS. the presentation was amazing with the dried fig on top. and nicole got the salted caramel latte. the salt crystals on top and the sweet flavor of the caramel was a classic combination somehow elevated! we also ordered the zaatar bagel and the honey comb. the zaatar bagel was yum! it's what you want in a bagel. it was soft with the perfect amount of cream cheese on it. the zaatar added a subtle flavor that made me want more. the honey comb was sweeeet. i liked it! it had too much honey for my liking. service was good. the person at the register was nice and helpful. bernabe got his food right away! OVERALL, 10/10 from both of us. read more

I didn't sit there just picked up a drink- the place is beautiful. I ordered the upside down strawberry matcha and the honeycomb pastry. Matcha was delicious and so was the pastry. Wonderful service! I prefer lattes over matcha, but the upside down strawberry matcha sounded good, so I asked for that as a latte instead, and the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly, despite how busy the morning was. They took a few extra moments to create my drink how I wanted it, and the owner even walked my drink out to me to personally hand it to me when it was done. Highly recommend the banana chai muffin as well -- it's gluten free & tastes delicious and fresh! The atmosphere and interior design is gorgeous as well! If coming to study, recommend bringing noise cancelling headphones as it gets quite noisy, but definitely a nice calm energy inside either way. Thank you Laymoon Cafe! read more
