This place has really fallen off. The service was brisk and my manicure and pedicure was done without any care or attention. I waited 35 minutes just to get started while soaking my feet for that long that I drained the tub myself. After a brisk pedicure and a even faster manicure I was left on the seat without any explanation or send off. I waited about 7 min until I flagged someone down and asked, "so am I done?" My first visit I was wary walking in. My expectations for nail salons has gone down a lot recently. I walked into lavish and there was a person at the front desk waiting to help me. They got me seated and started on my nails right away even though it was fairly busy. The owner was giving me a fill on my acrylics and showed me what the last nail technician did wrong, and how he was going to fix my nails. He continued to shape and file, shape and fils, and then he had to put me in a pedicure chair and have another girl finish the painting, since it had gotten busier he needed to work on another customer. I got to use the massage chair while she finished which, by the way, are amazing. It took longer than I expected, about 40 minutes, but they are the best acrylics I've gotten so far. I have a big event next weekend and I don't have time to do my nails, so I looked up some nail salons and found Lavish. I read their reviews and was still skeptical myself to try it out based on past experience with other nail salons. I decided to try them out and also brought my 4 year old daughter with me. When we got inside, we were greeted and seated right away despite being a bit busy. The surroundings are very clean and surprisingly, it didn't smell so "chemically", like other nail salons do. It was very kid friendly. I sat down and told them I wanted shellac and showed them a photo of what I wanted it to look like. They looked at it and started working on my nails. They even gave my daughter a chair so she can sit beside me, that was plus point! It took about 40-45 minutes but understandable because of how busy it was. By the end of my session, the lady asked my daughter if she wants her nails painted as well, of course she said "Yes!". She painted her nails - FREE! I have gone here at least half a dozen times so I can give a more thorough review. Overall, I really like this place. Great pedicures for $20 and they have a large selection of colors. They can be busy at times but always seem to work me in. My nails look great afterwards and they really emphasize the massage, which I love! The major plus: You can get 10% off when you pay with cash. Yea- so that pedicure just became $18- what a steal! -one star: Buyer beware. They charge an extra $10 for coffin nails and they don't tell you. (They say coffin is $5 and the extra length needed for coffin is another $5). I was really put off by this the last time I came in because it felt like a bit and switch. They didn't tell me till they ran my total at the end. I used to love this place the first few times I came here and then summer came around and I started feeling the pastel colors on my nails! The man who would always do my nails told me that I was "too dark for these colors on my hands" whatever the hell that means. He would always suggest a dark red, purple or even black for me even after I would be adamant about getting a light pink or purple. He would also make me feel guilty by holding the dark color next to my nail and speaking to the other Asian girls in Vietnamese clearly talking about me. **Update** Changed rating, my shellac nails are chipping after less than 4 days. Super busy when I came in the evening before Thanksgiving, but they accommodated for me and I waited about 10 minutes. I give 4 stars because my nails turned out NEAR flawless. They have a very extensive color selection. I got a shellac fill. $5 extra for coffin shape I guess. The shape turned out just how I like. The thing is, when I got my acrylics done, it was an older man. He was very rough and my experience was literally rather painful. I did not enjoy it nor feel relaxed in the slightest. I understand he was in a rush because of the volume of people in the salon and nearing closing time, but that's no reason to manhandle my nails and be so rough with them. His nails were very sharp and so when he pushed back my fingers to file, I felt like my skin was being cut! My cuticles were cut in 2 or 3 different spots, and when one of them started bleeding, he didn't even apologize or anything. He looked at it and went, "hm". What the heck?! My cuticles stung after that and the overall process was so unpleasantly rough. Maybe I'm too sensitive, but I prefer my nails to be taken care of and treated gently. I would rather be relaxed... This portion of my experience was pretty negative and does not deserve 4 stars. This itself is enough for me not to come back unfortunately. Then I got moved to a chair where a nice lady did my nails. They put a paper towel on my lap and the drying machine. She did a great job other than one or two spots where the Polish was too heavy and has a drip looking effect. Unfortunately, the color I chose looked MUCH darker on the sample. I wanted a maroon color and it turned out being a pretty bright, blood red. But it was so busy I obviously did not have the opportunity to change the color. The total was 33 before tip. The salon itself is on the small side but the decor is nice and the place did feel clean. They had many employees and we're still packed. I commend their work. Often I judge nail salons by quality of care when trimming and shaping the nail in addition to the quality of the massage. Unsanitary. I am only giving a star for the service I received on my pedicure, she did a decent job. The man doing my nails was aggressive and it seemed very rushed. I got a full set, with French tips and it came out looking sloppy. Paint on fingers, an obvious line where the tip was placed on, and my finger was cut during the service. The man also was working on me while I was getting my toes done and kept leaning very close to my face, he also did not have gloves on. He picked up his phone to text and answer phone calls twice as well. After he finished I watched him go straight over to work on another client WITHOUT washing his hands and still no gloves. After he rushed through with her, he went to another woman without washing his hands and was picking up trash right before that. I mentioned it to the woman doing my nails and she just said oh. Dang, what a nightmare! I am a man, went for a simple pedicure, just clip my nails. I got the old blind lady. Most of my toenails she looked at, didn't know what to do, so she massaged my feet. I asked her to at least cut my big toenails. Happily, she understood. But at one point she looked at me and said "you ok?" I didn't see blood so I said "yeah". When I got home I noticed I was cut. I picked away the hangnail shrapnel she left behind and applied a healthy dose of neosporin. No infection yet but still got sharp edges on a few nails. Tomorrow I'll go somewhere to get them fixed. The short: Pleasant atmosphere, good pricing, timely service, lacking customer service. The long: I checked the reviews for Salons in a 2 mile radius. Lavish had the best all around comments and pictures. I'd already gone to one salon that left much to be desired. Being new to the area and wanting to find a new home for my hand and feet, I skipped further trial and error and went to Lavish. I arrived a few minutes after opening on my birthday which was a Wednesday. First customer in the door, I was greeted immediately and asked what services I wanted. I told them I wanted a mani/ pedi, maybe a gel set. I chose my colors and was seated. My pedicure was started( I chose the basic one). A little further in, my manicure was started as the pediatric continued. Long story short, I decided I did want the gel set after all, and told my manicurist. She handed me a color wheel with sample and told me to choose. I hadn't gotten a gel set in a few years and thought to myself, " normally the gel is applied and then they paint whatever color after". But silly me, I chose a color and watched in. Astonishment as I later realized I received a gel manicure ( gel polish) instead. It came out pretty close to the picture I showed her with the exception of the foil strips, which I guess they don't do there. I got similar results- my nails grow quickly and were already long , so I really just wanted them reinforced/ covered with gel. She applied about 6 coats so the effect was similar. Pedi was ok. No hate. No love. Edges imperfect. Fast forward to one week later. My Gel nail polish that's supposed to shine and last for two weeks was chipped, and cracked and peeling from the base. I walked in and showed them my nails. She asked if I'd like it done over and told me the price. I'm sorry, perhaps I'm spoiled by good customer service... I expected at least a bit of remorse or apology and an offer to fix the manicure. I just asked them to take it off. I due t have time. So she began to soak my nails in remover and asked me again. If I wanted to have them done over. I reiterated my wishes. She then said something unintelligible and all I heard was $5. I asked for clarification and still didn't understand. Someone else finished my removal and I left. She ran outside to tell me I needed to pay $5 to remove the chipped, cracked, and peeling nail polish. I gave her a five dollar bill, a pleasant farewell and walked away. Another customer lost. read more

I went here a few times even brought my friends thinking it was quality service. No after awhile they started overcharging me. For instance, I had gotten my acrylics done there yet in 3 days they broke! That was with shellac! Then a week later I go in asking for them to be removed and the lady just shaved part of it off making some of my nails incredibly thin and still charged me an extra $10! One hour and 45 min to take care of mine and my friends pedicure and my manicure would have been fine if over 30min wasn't wasted on us just waiting. They weren't particularly busy so I'm not sure what the issue is. I got the standard spa pedicure and was super disappointed at the callus removal. My feet look and feel ragged and it seems like no effort was put into removing dead skin. They truly look awful and this isn't the first time I've been disappointed at the callus removal. That is such a standard part of a pedicure that I'm shocked they did such a poor job. I'm honestly debating even posting a picture because I'm so embarrassed to show how ragged they are. The expectation with a pedicure is to leave with smooth feet, not with ripped dead skin hanging off my feet. The polish application was also substandard, with the edges looking very rough. I understand that they want to work as quickly as possible to get more guests in but please, take the time to do quality work. I probably won't come back again, if I had noticed the state of my skin when I was there I would have asked them to fix it. Complete waste of the $60 my friend and I paid together. read more

I've been to Lavish Nails several times now and each visit has been really good, on busy days and not so busy days. On the busy days, the operations of the salon have been pretty typical of other salons in the area. There are a few exceptions (that's why I don't go to the other salons anymore) of which Lavish Nails covers pretty well, IMO. When they are busy, they greet you and try to seat you right away, if there's a chair open. Otherwise, they will explain if there is more of a wait and suggest an alternate time. I also am appreciative of the patience when choosing nail color. Not once did I feel rushed, even on busy days. So far every service I've had has been spot on to what I've asked and paid for. The mani and pedi services are pretty standard pricing and I am always happy with the way my nails turn out. The shellac selection is good and I'm excited to try out the colors that change with heat or cold. Overall, I'm giving them 5 stars because out of all the salons in the general Bothell area (and I've tried many of them), this one has been consistently giving me good service every time I've come in. read more

I'm so extremely picky about nail salons, and in less than a year I've tried many nail salons in the Bothell/Mill Creek area. I've been to Lavish twice, and I've been extremely happy with the work they do. I am an at-home manicurist, and I do my own gel nails and some nail art, but I still love to treat myself to a relaxing pedicure when needed. This shop is one of the cleanest and friendliest in the area. Some other shops really feel like assembly lines (*cough* Bella *cough*), and I question their cleanliness (*grumble* TD *grumble*). I have a horrible memory for names and details of people sometimes, especially when I'm zoning out for a pedi, but there is a woman at Lavish that is EXCELLENT. She is one of the best pedicurists I've ever had the pleasure of getting a service from. She gives one hell of a foot and leg massage. Lavish has an excellent collection of gel polishes, and they even have the ones that are color changing. Last time I went I got the color changing kind on my toes, and it's really fun! When it's hot it's one color and another when cold, and it costs the same amount as the regular gel. I think their pricing is very fair for the amount of services you get with each level of pedi as well. read more

I went to Lavish Nails & Spa in Bothell by Red Robin and Panera on July 10, 2017 for a pedicure. I arrived at 4:15pm and left at 4:30pm. My pedicure lasted 12 minutes! The person doing my nails was unfriendly and didn't massage my legs except for taking her fingernails and moving them up and down my legs a few times which scratched my legs. Tonight I had a great experience at Lavish. Called at 4 pm and asked if they could fit me in for a fill. They were amazing and could fit me in. I had hit my hand during work and one of my nails broke in half all the way to the nail bed. Needed to get it fixed pronto. The owner I believe worked on my nails. He was a really nice guy. Said it would be an easy fix. It really was. I didn't have to wait long after I got there. He glued my nail back together unlike other places that just remove the acrylic. It didn't hurt bad and he was great when I said something hurt. The whole experience was great. I was happy with the price. Also, very happy with the atmosphere and people. This is a beautiful salon. It's small so even though it was well staffed it was still busy. People were waiting a long time for pedicures without knowing how long their wait would be. The nail gee curved with a dent in the middle. 4 months later, I got my nails done in another state and the person who did my nails told me he could tell the place I went to used harsh products and did a quick job on my nails without attention.
