Today was my very first experience coming here after getting fed up with S a m m i nails, a few blocks away. First of all, I came in and I was very quickly greeted by two smiling faces and they were able to help me even though I was a walk-in and had no appointment. I was offered a cold beverage, choice of nail color and pedicure option. While they were a little short staff they were very sweet in letting me know that someone would be in to help, so in the mean time they took my polish off, let me relax and soak. The pedicure was probably one of the best I've had in a very long time, complete with a trim, exfoliation, sugar scrub, massage and choice of fresh orange or lemon juice massage. I had never had the fresh citrus massage but my skin feels incredible! I will absolutely become a regular! The prices are fair and the service is great! read more

I had such a wonderful experience at Nail Palace. Emmy did my full set and was absolutely amazing... patient, precise, and so sweet. Miley did my pedicure and made me feel totally relaxed from the start. Both of them were kind, funny, and just genuinely good people. The whole vibe was easy and welcoming... like being cared for by family in the best way. I even matched my nail color mildly to my toes... just enough to feel put-together without going full matchy-matchy... and they nailed it. The attention to detail was spot on. WOW! I am super impressed with this nail salon. They squeezed me and my mom in last minute, they were definitely busy but accommodated my schedule, which they didn't have to do! And they did it in a way where no one else was neglected. All of the ladies were very friendly and sweet. They were incredibly fast but still made me feel so pampered and comfortable. The salon is very clean. It's a beautiful atmosphere, very minimal and crisp, yet inviting. I had a wonderful morning visiting with my mom before my work day! I usually do my own nails but I wanted to go for Mother's Day. I specifically called prior asking if they would use forms instead of tips. She said okay. I also specifically asked for A nude colored acrylic and she said okay on the phone. When I went in she said the length I wanted would take too long with forms. I explained i didn't like the curved shape of tips. She said that she could make them straight for me. So I said whatever okay. I was already upset, She then prepped my nails with a sanding bit and proceeded to prep someone else's nails with the same sanding bit . She then pulled out clear acrylic in an OPENED sketchy glass dappen dish from inside her little desk table thing. (Later I soaked off my nails realizing the acrylic 1000% had mma). Anyway she then LEFT and someone else finished my nails.. wtfff. She used a nude gel polish for the base of my nails (when I asked for an acrylic nude). And the nails still ended up curved. And she wouldn't even put nail oil on my cuticles bc I got Matte Disappointed Af. read more

This will be a progressive review. I have been to the is spot a few times. The owner lives in the neighborhood, so the idea of local business support is great. The place is conveniently located just off 164th in Mill Creek. The shop is next door to a local family owned jeweler of which pulls some high end clientele. The location is prime, but I don't think the shop is taking advantage of it. There is not a lot of attention to the decor, it is clean but shabby - definitely not at the caliber it should be (given being in Mill Creek). At this place I typically get pedicures and have been lucky to get the same person each time. I think that I solidified this on my first visit. She did a great job and I tipped well. I have paid attention to the work being done by the other technicians and had chosen not to get a manicure based on who was available (no attention to detail... I have natural nails so can't comment on the other services). I chose to get a Shellac manicure yesterday. I have never had shellac so am testing out the hype. My manicure was so, so. I have had better for cheaper. The shellac is great. It dried fast and is beautiful - but this is not a review of the polish. The technician said it will last two weeks. What I know is that the longevity is in part based on the application skills of the technician. So to the progressive part: I will update my review based upon how well my manicure and paint wears. 8/23 - beautiful, smooth, uniform coverage. 8/24 - am: beautiful, uniform, bubbles have appeared on my right index (2) and left middle fingers (2). pm: I cleaned the bathroom sinks, toilets, washed dishes, repotted 3 orchids, scrubbed the oven, all without gloves, per my usual way and there was no change. 8/25 - no change. I got a lot of unsolicited complements at work and the shop got two referrals. 8/26 - bowling...perfectly the same. Wow... I have done the all but plant bulbs and the polish is still rocken. Clearly this is a good application, thus a good job by the technician. 4 stars because the shop needs some TLC. read more

Very articulate and detailed work! They don't rush on your nails and try to get you out the door as fast as possible. They take time to make sure every nail is perfect and ask you if you like the work/shape. I was very satisfied with my nails. My acrylics feel natural and not thick. When I got dip nails here for a Mexico vacation they stayed on perfectly for 3 weeks even after all the salt water and pool water. Love this place read more

Went in for waxing lip, chin and brows. Left without doing brows. I wish I had gotten the woman's name but she acted like she was icing a cake!!! She got wax on my lip and nose, waxed part of my cheeks!!!, put way too much wax so it didn't rip properly and waxed the same spot three times before I told her to stop. She cooled the wax too much and it really hurt at first. I pointed all of this out and all she did was nod and smile. I got home and my face has some skin peeled off from the spot she waxed three times. She could have just tweezed the stray hairs!!! I'm furious. Anna and Hailey and Lam are very good and so welcoming and friendly. I don't like to leave reviews, especially if they're bad, but this was hands down the worst experience I've ever had. First, none of my nails are the same length or shape. The girl cut my skin on 8 of 10 of my fingers! Not only does that suck but it's straight up unsanitary. After only one week, the shellac on my gel nails looks like crap and my nails are lifting. I had to have them all taken off and redone somewhere else after only 2 weeks. Such a waste of money to pay $50 for a full set, only to have them turn out like this and have to be redone before I was ready for a fill. read more

I went in the other day on a Monday afternoon for a shellac manicure. This place is close to where I live and I have not gotten a manicure in many years so I was excited for this. I was seated in a chair and someone came to start my nails immediately. The files used on me were not new which made me wonder if the metal tools being used were dirty as well. I watched the nail technician get a plastic bowl from under the sink, rinse it a couple times and then fill and bring over for me to place my hands in, again making me second guess the cleanliness of it. I had my hands in for maybe 1-2 minutes and then she came back to work on my nails. At the end I got a quick hand massage but it felt rushed. My nails did come out very nice but the things mentioned above and the technician seem to rush everything at a time where it wasn't busy doesn't make me want to come back. read more

I would not recommend this salon. My friend and I had called and asked them if we could come in right at closing, and we wanted fill and pedicures. I have a teething angry one year old, and my husband had planned to put the baby down when we went. We knew we were going to be five minutes late, called, them and they said no problem. We got there only 4 minutes later than planned. They got livid we had changed our mind about getting no pedicures. My husband called me and said baby was just having too rough of a time, so we needed to get home asap. They told us rudely to pick a color, and then starting talking badly about us. It was evident , trust me guys, you can tell when people are talking about you. Then my nails were all messed up, thenail polish was terrible, and I had to fix when I got home. They gave us dirty looks the whole time. hence no tip and never coming back!!!!!! read more

Came here for a Gel Manicure. I think the going rate is about 25 and it was 30 here. Not a big deal, but nothing really special for the extra $5. Place is a little more cramped and dilapidated then the two places it have tried inside town center. They did have a large number of Gel/shilac color choices so that is a positive. Everything about the service was fine. They accept CC, but not AMEX. They are open on Sundays which is a plus, I may or may not be back...just haven't found my nail home home in WA yet. read more

I won't be returning. My toe nail polish chipped just two days after my pedicure. Typically these last at least 3 weeks or more without such signs if wear. I returned and paid to have it repainted only (not full pedicure) two days after my original visit. I was rushed out the door and wasn't even allowed to sit for the polish to dry. Strange place. They weren't even closing. An employee actually suggested I sit in my car with the heater on for them to dry. When I went to pay another employee stood within inches of me while I reached in my wallet. No thanks! read more

I have had my nails done here several times with success. Regular gel/shellac. I decided to try the gel powder last week since it it supposed to be better for your nails. First off, I had no idea it would be so thick and not have a smooth surface. I figured I would get used to it. After a few days, I sort of did get used to it but then I noticed that the color of the gel powder was changing. Starting at the cuticle area and going in from there. I was nervous that it was changing due to air getting in between the gel and my nails. I went back in to have it removed so I could make sure my nails were OK. They absolutely did not care that my manicure was so messed up after less than one week. I even had to pay to have the gel powder removed. They should have at least done that for free since it must not have been applied correctly in the first place. Now I have to wait until it's in my budget to get them redone since I've wasted over $50 in a week here. read more

Went here for the first time 9/17. New to the area and this seemed like a good place to try so when I got there they helped my friend and I instantly, there was no wait time. She got shellac and I got acrylics. With her nails, they shape she wanted turned out good but the lady who did her nails smudged the polish and did not fix it just painted over and so she has lumps on her nail. They don't look good. With my acrylics, the gal that did mine didn't rust and they turned out well for the most part but I have a crooked nail and I wanted points and they are not all even in size and length. And during the process she cause my cuticles to bleed on multiple on my fingers while filing. She also did a VERY thin layer of acrylic on my nails which has made them weak and I'm on day 5 and 2 nails have already snapped and they just don't look pretty. I have not been hard on my nails in any way. I have had longer nail in the past that I was hard on, used many harsh cleaners and after 2 weeks still hold up fine and not break because they had a proper layer of acrylic powder. When my first nails broke I was literally just scratching my leg and it just snapped on me, there was no hard pressure it just broke. I went in today on my break to ask if they could fix my nails because they snapped and they said no I would have to pay extra. I am not gonna pay extra because you guys poorly did my nails. In my top worst places to get your nails done. I am never coming back to this place and I don't recommend it to anyone. read more

I've been going to The Nail Palace for over 10 years. Linh is hands down (ha ha) the BEST nail artist I've seen since I started getting my nails done 20 years ago. She is fast and great at the pink and white fills. The salon is always clean, and the rest of the staff is friendly. Linh can also wax your brows if you'd like, and the pedicures are thorough and well done. I'd recommend this place to men, women, young and old. Linh and Johnny speak good English, as does most of the rest of the staff, so don't worry too much about that other review. These are good people. read more

Told my wife they accepted the Spa Finder gift cards accepted by thousands of spas nationwide. After service was fully completed the manager told my wife that it was not accepted and to pay up was the only solution. Very shifty way to do business. Said they weren't responsible because "their employee didn't understand english very well". I felt they should take responsibility for their employees actions.A very unhappy ending for a day out at the spa for a mom and her 9 year old. Owner hung up on me when I asked for a partial refund. One thing I love about this salon is they don't pound on your legs when they're done with your pedicure. Never could understand why people do that and why people let them.
