Finally! A manicurist who uses the right bits for nails. Sometimes it's uncomfortable if proper care is not taken when old polish is removed but Caroline took her time. Her work is meticulous and so sharp. No risges, no icky or stickiness stuck between my nails or cuticles. Absolutely love the end result. I can't wait to go back with my daughter. I had a regular pedicure and shellac manicure. Everything felt rushed. After I left the salon I noticed that Nancy did not evenly paint my toenails, leaving an unfinished look. My fingernails are all different shapes and my cuticles were not cut very well. The shellac overlaps onto my cuticles. I got them done on Saturday, by Tuesday my shellac was already peeling off. Overall sloppy job for the price, disappointed and will not be returning. read more

I have to say after having years and years of pedicures I had the absolute least satisfying, worst one ever at this nail salon. It was rushed, they didn't take care of my concerns and I had to direct the gal along the way to go back to take care of some things she clearly neglected. I was so rattled by the experience.....I left my coat behind, and when I called to inquire about it, the person hung up on me. Overall it was a waste of time and $. I love Akria Nails and their whole family. Caroline has been very welcoming and takes time to do all my nail art requests. She takes the effort and dedication to make sure my nails were just right and I always appreciate her for it. For the past 3-4 weeks there was no chipping or lifting. 10/10 would reccomend. Caroline is also easy to talk to and friendly. The atmosphere and decorations are always lovely and relaxing. The prices are fair priced for the quality of work, though I reccomend tipping her amazing work. I have been going to this nail place for over 10 years! Today was my last visit. I scheduled a mani pedi. When I got there I asked the girl if she could do a full set instead. She talked to the other girl and said yes. I did not know she wasn't a nail tech! I told her several times that I didn't lik the shape. She then got aggressive and I was shocked. Another girl came over and tried to fix them. She told me next time I need to be more clear because I needed a nail tech! Excuse me I clearly asked if she had time for a full set! I had a great experience at Akira's. I immediately felt good vibes upon entering this easy to find, bright pink building with plenty of parking. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I love that it's family-owned with mother & father working right beside their kind daughter. I got the deluxe pedicure with paraffin and I bought my young daughter the basic pedicure and deluxe manicure with paraffin. I really appreciated that they took their time and weren't rushing at all. They have really good massage chairs and that's very important to me when I go to the nail salon. Everything was very clean and tidy. I highly recommend Akira's. read more

Very bad! Came in at 5:30 and the lady Nancy was just rushing me and doesn't seem to do the service. She was very rough with my finger while taking off the polish and it felt like she was taking care off an inanimate object. I asked her to do two coats of cat eye and she straight up told me "no we're doing one coat". I've been doing cat eye polish for a while and that's all i get, so i know how this works. She told me the reason why she's doing one coat is that because how cat eye polish works. I think she was just trying to leave early and trying not to stay for extra couple of minutes. She was also sighing and saying that one of coworker is lucky because she left home early. I had to double check what time they close because I don't to impose, so if you want to leave early then just don't take clients! I had to walk her through the whole process because she kept missing a spot and whole time she was talking to her coworkers in her native language, but I can tell that she was just complaining about what i asked her to do. She didn't disclose that they charge extra for cat eye polish nor taking off the previous gel polish (some place do and some place don't, that's why they have to let the customers know beforehand). Overall, this was very stressful and not relaxing experience. The guy at the front desk was very helpful and nice, he even tried on the color that I wanted on his finger to show me what it would look like, so thank you for that! However, i will not be coming here again read more

What a gem of a find. Ive tried a few places since moving to the North end. Found this on a search and called. They were able to fit me in within an hour. I arrived and waited about 10 mins. The salon is cute and clean. Bottle water was offered, and I also saw chocolates, coffee and tea available. Massage chairs were lovely. Got the Signature pedi. The leg massage was great and the man and his wife switched back and forth depending on what they were doing. They did not rush and it was a great experience. I will be back! read more

They always have cute & tasteful decorations for all of the holidays year round. It's peaceful- soothing music, smells good - like essential oils and not nail chemicals- and the technicians are kind and quiet too. Walked in at 6:30 (i tried getting there at 6:15 but got lost, its inside a plaza and kind of in the back so hard to find if you dont know what youre looking for) and they were able to squeeze me in. But probably best if you book an appointment online~ I got the signature pedicure with gel and was really happy with it. Inside looks really aesthetic and they have air conditioning. The best pedicure I've ever had. The standard pedicure included a cooling scrub that felt good for an hour after I left even! It's family run, and they are the sweetest mom, dad, and daughter. Great products, my gel manicure lasted almost 3 weeks before coming off, and pedicure still looks good! Would definitely call to make an appt since it's just the three family members now. Okay experience but won't return. Greeted warmly and was seated right away. Did not enjoy the pedicure as they did bare minimum callus removal and I could tell they were talking to each other about my feet. I have had lots of pedicures, this was just okay. read more

Scheduled nails for prom online and called to have it confirmed as owner has to approve the appointment before it's scheduled. The lady who answered hung up on my daughter, so I called a second time. Lady who answered said to call back at 6pm because the owner wasn't in, and she added "we're busy right now" then hung up on me. Owner eventually canceled our appointment for no reason. Don't know how their actual service is, but customer service on the front end with scheduling and phone etiquette is dismal. Not a good look for this business read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at a new salon. This poor girl has no idea how to run a business, within the first 10 minutes of being there that was clear. She had to reschedule multiple people even though they had existing appointments. If I could give 0 stars I would I do NOT recommend this place whatsoever even with an appointment made a week in advance I was told they could no longer do my appointment because I said no to design and she completely cancelled my appointment. Overpriced and clearly can't handle making appointments. read more
