I have been going to this salon on and off for a few years and have always gotten really amazing customer service. I came in on Friday to get a gel manicure, broke my nail on Saturday at work, and came in on Sunday to see if they could help me fix it. They remembered me, took the time to fix my nail with dip powder, and cleanly reapplied the polish. They were incredibly sweet and did not charge me to get my nail fixed, even though I had gotten my manicure on my natural nails, and the crack in my nail was 100% unrelated to the manicure. Overall, one of the worst pedicures I've had in years. The woman was so rough on my toes & cuticles with the tools and was even worse with the scrubber. I walked out with scrapes on the sides of my feet and even a cut in between two of my toes. I was expecting a great massage since I paid extra for it & since the woman had already been so rough on treating the rest of my pedicure, but then she only massaged for a quick minute or 2 on each side & used very light pressure only on my legs & did not massage my feet at all. Not worth the extra price at all! The polish job was done decent but was a but was not great on one of my big toes. I'm glad they are at least presentable but I will not be coming back here again. read more

COVID Precaution: Salon takes temperature upon arrival, all staff is wearing mask, mask are required, all nail stations have a standing glass shield in between nail technician an client, the pedicure stations have a hanging glass shield in between you and the nail technician as well. Splash nail salon tries to skip each nail/pedicure station so that you do not have someone sitting next to you during your services. However, if it is busy you may have someone sitting next to you. I always call ahead for availability, the salon always makes room for appointments. The salon is cozy, clean and modern. I am happy with the services I have received at the nail salon: dip, plastic tip nail extension, shellac, and wax; all services I have had on different occasions. Based on my experiences most nail technicians do not speak English (however they try to speak English if they are having a hard time communicating; there is someone there walking around that does speak better English or another nail technician that does speak it more fluently), most nail technicians are kind and take their time with the services. I would definitely recommend the services and salon. read more

Horrible place. Spent 3 hours getting a fill & paint job that cost $185. I specifically said no gel & then did gel anyways & then charged more for it. They acted like they didn't understand English when I know damn well they did understand cuz that is how they make their money with all the up charges they do. My granddaughter showed a pic of what she wanted & after 3 hours they still couldn't get it right. She did some 3d design on her own & then filed it off for some unknown reason (the pic showed one 3d design on one finger each hand) & she left one & then took off the other one & later put it back on (takes about 10 min) and was frustrated at mostly herself. Very rude staff, mechanical and transactional. TRAN is impatient and checks her phone constantly. Some gals who does the pedicures are super nice though. But several of their staff members have left and when I asked the owner Stephanie Tran where my previous go-to gal went, she refused to say. She rudely brushed it off. As a long-time customer, it's so hard to find the right person to care for our nails, so it's obvious she didn't have the customer's needs in mind. But as the owner I thought I'd give her a chance to do my nails. She got up no less than a dozen times to answer the phone and check on other gals' progress, causing my nail appointment to last over 2 hours. I was not a happy camper. I also agree with other reviews about that Stephanie charging what she feels like. Recently, Stephanie refused to honor a $40 discount that she wrote on my loyalty card 4 weeks ago. She claimed that they changed the policy 2 months ago. They don't care if they lose a long-time client (over 10 years). I've been thinking of switching salons for over a year, but I kept wanting to give them a chance to do better. But this puts it over for me. As a business owner, she should realize they're not the only game in town and should cherish their customers more. But if you do decide to go to this salon, ask for GINA. I came here a couple weeks ago with my sister. And i've heard good things about this place so i went. The nail tech that had done my nails, used the drill on my nails so hard to the point where they started to hurt. It ended up damaging my nails. With my sister, the nail tech got glue all over her hand and drilled her finger. He actually finger not the nail. I had spoken to them about it. And there was no actual concern to see if she was ok or not. They just told me there's nothing they can really do about it. It made me really upset. read more

Updated (third review): The owner messaged me and offered me to come in and get a free "fix" for my messed up nails. So I scheduled a time with the first technician that did my nails RIGHT! So I went in yesterday. The outcome? Well here's what I learned, if you don't like your nails, tell them before you leave or within a day or two. Unfortunately, I waited a week and my nails had already grown out and needed a fill (but I usually wait about 2 1/2 weeks). She said she could "redo" the ones I didn't like which were 4/10 nails. That meant, 4 of my nails will be filled but the other 6 would be left unfilled (not a pretty sight). She suggested I just get my regular fill .. which means it would cost me the usual $30... and I wouldn't "really" be getting my nails "fixed" for FREE? I was a little bummed. In a way, I thought it was too good to be true and I'm not mad since it was my responsibility to say something sooner. Besides, I got my favorite technician so I couldn't complain since the end result was the best I've ever received! She made sure that each nail was sharpened and shaped to my liking, she went above and beyond with all the fixings, even added extra powder to resize my index fingers that became too thin. Thuy seriously is the best! I also asked her all the questions to why everything happened the way it did last week. First off, my nails had an "ombre" glitter accent which costs $5 extra but apparently they forgot to charge me the first time and that's why I was upset I got charged $35 for the same style last week... I thought it was because my nails were harder to "maintain" and took longer to get done.. Well that makes sense now. Overall, they have won me back over and I am one happy client! Overall a very disappointing experience. I had an appointment at this nail studio exactly 2 weeks ago. They did an incredible job on my design but the quality and service provided was not acceptable, especially for the price I paid. I had made an appointment and no one was available at the time of my appointment when I arrived. There are no waiting chairs or even a waiting center so I had to stand in the middle of the salon for about 10-15 minutes. Once someone had finished I sat down in the chair and waited another 10 minutes for someone to start on my nails. Once they applied tips and shaped them I was told someone else would finish my nails. The guy who was helping me just stood around chatting during this 15-20 minutes I was waiting with just glued on tips. Finally someone comes over and finished my nails, she did a lovely job but the price was more than I was expecting $90, which did not seem to match the pricing on their board. I have gotten sets with more detail for 45-60 before so the price was a bit of a shock. I didn't complain however and just enjoy the nails since the nails did come out so pretty. That was until I noticed my nails seemed thin towards my nail bed and it seemed like they were getting loose only a week after my appointment. This past Saturday about a week and a half after two of my nails just completely fell off. Then today another nail just fell off. If you are going to have bad service and charge so much the least you could do is provide good a quality nails. Worst acrylic quality I have ever had. read more

The service with Tran was uncomfortable and unprofessional, whenever I would speak to her she would ignore me as if I never spoke or act like she doesn't understand me. I feel uncomfortable asking her what I want and I feel as though she was agitated even if I asked for her opinion on "what color red she liked the most". I continued to be neutral and respectful as I can be but at the same time it didn't feel good getting a service while feeling like I'm being annoying for voicing what I would like during my service. I'm sorry but this is hands down the worst experience I've had and I've never not tipped but this service was cringy enough to not want to. These ladies are amazing. Their prices are reasonable, they always do an amazing job, they offer punch cards, and they can do any nails you could dream of! I'm so blown away. I brought in a picture from Pinterest that's a rather tricky style so I was understanding if they couldn't do it. But the girl doing my nails asked around and looked through the whole salon to find all the glitters needed to make my nails just how I wanted them. I wanted sparkly clear nails with little confetti hearts in them and I'm in love!! She mixed the glitters in with the acrylic powder so they won't flake off or anything. read more

Soooo Ive been a regular here, weekly, literally every monday or tuesday Im here getting a manicure. Spending min $25 every time. So todays experience was enough for me to say screw this place. Walked in at about 1 on Monday afternoon. They had other customers but also available techs for us. So we didn't have to wait. With that saying there was atleast 6 other available stations not in use by the door and end of the nail bar. Instead they point us to two stools in between two customers already at the bar. We walk over and realized we'd be literally crammed into a space so small you cant even pull your stool out with out asking multiple people to move down one inch. Something Id assume the tech would be avoiding by setting me and my friend else where. No they insisted thats where we were to sit only. So then we sit, my friend started to choose her colors, as did my shoulder-touching neighbor. So as there are color books every where. My tech instead of clearing space to allow any comfort in this situation or space, she tells me to hand her one of my hands at a time until theres room!!! So half of my manicure was being done on top of 4 open color books, not even my own. Fast forward. Time to PAAAY! So I offered to pay for my friends and mine. My tech hands me the tablet before my friend was done. I pay and hand it back to her. She freezes... whispers something to my friends tech and shows her the screen... So my friends tech stops what shes doing and yells "NO TIP?!" I had planned on tipping in cash. But sense my friend had another couple minutes left Id wait..... apparently that not cool, instead they like to assume and literally YELL at their customers about it. Remember I come here weekly tipping 10$ on my 25$ bill... She then hastily wiped off my friends hands resulting in her nail being bent backward, (didn't apologize or nothing) mid massage packed up and walked away. I wanted to do the same than... scream NO CUSTOMER! Freak out and leave. read more

I would like to update my review since I now go more regularly than I did before. They do a Covid temp check at the beginning, which is nice. They can get REALLY packed though, that's the only downside. I've gotten acrylics with gels for the past few months and they always last 2-3 weeks. I've attached a few of my almond shaped acrylics. My daughter and I have gone to Splash for 2 years. We spend a lot of money there. They are grossly understaffed for the amount of business they do. We have made appointments in the past and then we get there and wait another 40-60 minutes. Oh when you make an appointment, the don't ask for your name, WTH? My daughter gets an acrylic full with shellac, $80 always, I'm a dip at $50.. $80 fill? We're in MLT not downtown at done fancy spa. I use there stamp card, but because they have never split up nails vs toes, they only give you $25 towards your "free" dip because the snuck a pedicure on the card. So shady, so unethical and wrong to your loyal customers. I will NEVER go back. It's sad because many of the nail techs are sweet and do a good job. They are way to busy for that small space and they need to revisit customer service 101. read more

I went in earlier today for a regular fill of my full set shellac. The lady did a great job and I honestly like my service with her. This time around, I did not tip because I was not expecting my fill to cost me a whole service... When I get up to the counter, the owner of the salon stamps my card and gives it back to me and in exchange I gave her the payment card machine back paying what I owed. I was charged $50.00 for a fill of my full set w/ shellac color. This is the one day I just didn't tip..I could see streaks in my nail color and the sides were lumpy I had to go back home and file correct it. The owner then processes my transaction and turns and says so me "No cash tip??" In front of everyone sitting at the bar, I was so uncomfortable and appalled by her boldness to ask why why I didn't tip in front of her staff and other guests.. Every time I come here I tip them well and today was just not the day. I've been coming here for a year and I was referred by a friend... I have never felt so embarrassed. I wasn't expecting to be harassed over a tip at the nail salon of all places... $50.00 dollars for a fill and then a tip would have been a whole new service.. I felt so bad, I actually sat in my car and thought about my experience here. I don't think I'll come back.. That wasn't fair to me to be spoken to that way as a loyal customer. I have $30.00 off my next service but I don't think I'll be coming back to be humiliated like that again.. especially over a service I paid for. read more

Yesterday I went to get an acrylic fill with a simple design. It took about 2 hours and at first I showed a design with rhinestone on 4 fingers and the lady said it would be $120 then I decided I wanted to switch to a simpler design with no rhinestones. She said it would be $140, I'm not sure how we got to that price especially for a fill but okay. I paid and left a tip and then went home and had a nail break less than 24 hours after. I came back to get it fixed and luckily wasn't charged for repair so I guess that's a plus! read more

I have been coming to this salon for about two years and to be honest today was probably the last time. I feel like many technicians do not take their time to prep nails. Very often I have to ask technicians to fix something and they end up very annoyed. I also can always hear technicians discussing me or my nails in Vietnamese which makes me very uncomfortable because I know that they are discussing me, but unsure what they are saying. Today I decided to use my punch card and owner did not seem to be thrilled at all. It just sucks to come to a place that does not seem to value their costumers. And the owner does not take criticism well either. COVID 19 Update: they are doing great! Temperature checks with each customer, each station is encased with plexi glass, & all employees are wearing gloves and masks. On the weekends, it can get a little busy, so I recommend going on a weekday. They make people wait outside before their appointments, but you can also do a walk in & just wait until there's a seat open. If you're concerned about the plexi glass not being enough for distancing, I recommend getting a pedi with another person you know since the chairs are in pairs. I had an amazing manicure on a Wednesday morning by Linda & another one a couple weeks ago by Lily! I go first thing in the morning & am usually the only one getting a mani. This is the second time I've come here, and plan to keep coming here to get my nails done. For the first time, I went for a single, solid color, which was completely beautiful. For the second time, I wanted something more extravagant and asked if they could do a holographic ombre. They exceeded my expectations. I simply showed the girl who did my nails a picture I found on Pinterest, and she was able to do it. The place is very clean, well organized, and has a relaxing feel throughout the environment. They have a wide variety of amenities and several color options for nails, which are easy to view because they're in booklets. Guest service was excellent and very friendly. I understand things going slower than they usually go here because of them being extra understaffed that day. But cmonnnnn, really had me waiting with my fingers in acetone for way too long. He had me soak my hands in acetone and then completely forgot about me. I would've rather have waited longer for my service than have my hands stuck in all of that for so long. My fingers got so dry and still are dry (a day later) the least they could've done was apply some lotion. Didn't even clean up around my hands that left white residue all over from the removal of the polish from my acrylics. To top it off, my hands have melted acrylic all over that I'm still currently scratching off. Then the owner proceeds to tell me she can't do my pedicure today and to come another day in the week when I called and made this appointment and other people with walk-ins we're getting a seat at the pedi chair?? I never once complained about the stuff all over my hands so I was genuinely confused and irritated on why I was being pushed behind walk-ins. Only reason I will be coming back is because my card was fully stamped and it's a free pedi service that I'm waiting on (also in which the owner was trying to tell me "it depends maybe we can only give you a manicure" when for the past 6 years I've been using them for pedis). Beyond disappointed this time. That was 2 weeks ago, me going here for 6 years I decided whatever I'll go again. Today got in, got taken care of right away I was impressed in comparison to their usual 40 min wait with an appt you have made prior. BUT- I had gotten a pedi and acrylics done this time for graduation. Let me tell you, my cuticles are all ripped up. I was bleeding for more than half of my service, polish done lumpy, TOLD I was going to be given a discount for this terrible job (which idc but the owner then said I don't give any discounts if you're unhappy), my acrylics were done terribly again after the fact that I said I have graduation and grad photos this weekend. The pedi was done so terrible I promise you all I think I could've done a better job myself AND avoided blood. Anyways, after everything was done, I wanted to speak to the owner who refused to go outside to chat so it would be more private. Started yelling at me in front of the whole salon how she won't give me a discount, doesn't see any mistakes (as I pointed every single thing out), told her how I love this place and want to keep coming back but she saw no issue in me bleeding and said it's bound to happen. She told me she's not going to accommodate me and said if I get an infection to contact their insurance company not her. WTF??? I'm over here bleeding and you're saying hmmm I don't see any issue... I'm so disappointed my toe cuticles are hurting and sore and I'm not even trying to exaggerate that because again, they were bleeding and the girl trying to "fix" the situation just kept dumping some oils on it and putting it back in the water. Did my whole pedi avoiding that toe knowing that she cut it so deep. The owner redid 2 fingers after having to argue that they were originally terribly done and she painted them a different color. I told her they're not the same color as the original and she said yeah they are. My pinky and my index finger are now 3 shades lighter for my grad photos so that's also very lovely. I'll attach pictures but save yourself a trip and go to a different salon. I got charged $80 for a $60 services. Just be aware they will overcharge you and not listen to you for clarification whatsoever and that's exactly what they did again this time. They're beyond rude, unaccommodating, and think the customer is wrong. I think the owners name is Stephanie, she loves laughing at you when you try pointing something out, extremely belittling her customers and I've seen her do it with many others over the years. read more

I had Ann appointment for a Dip powder. The nail lady brought a little dipping powder kit. When she opened it I noticed it was with filled with dust, tools dirty and the polish for the dip powder was stuck on the bottom of the box and couldn't even open the polish. The nail buffer was dusty as well and had not used any clean nail clippers, or nail buffers. She just dusted it off with a brush. She dropped a nail scraper and she picked it up and put it back in the box. She didn't set it aside to sanitize it. She yanked my hand and never gave me the opportunity to wash my hands. She didn't clean or remove my cuticles, cut my fingernails crookedly and did not even file my nails. After she finished she looked like she was in a hurry and right when she finished I felt and noticed that the edge of my nail was stuck on to the skin. She applied cuticle oil on my fingers and nowhere near the cuticles. She applied a hot rag and tried messaging but there was oil smeared all over my hand leaving it greasy and dusty. I asked the guy why she didn't apply it to my cuticle and she yelled from across the room that she did. I showed them my greasy palm and the guy pulled out the cuticle oil, reaching for my had. I said no because my hand is dirty and oily. He then kept telling me that she knows how to do her job when she did it horribly. I've been going there since I was in high school and today was just the worst experience. I got home washed my hands and fixed everything on my own. At the end I got charged for a horrible service of $40. I don't recommend going there. read more
