I've been going to see Anna and her staff of nail technicians for the last ten years; I've tried a number of other places in the area, and always find myself coming back. This afternoon as I let the salon I sat in my car and shed a few tears because of Anna's kindness. I had recently broken my toenail pretty severely below the quick and was told that I would more than likely lose my toenail and have to wait for it to grow back (I will spare you photos) Anna had casually asked while starting my fill, if I would like to have a pedicure. I had told her that I probably shouldn't for the safely of all involved (plus, who really wants to deal with a toe that could start bleeding again?) She took one look any my toe, took the remaining polish off and went to work to make the unsightly mess look presentable again. She was able to seal the cracked portion and covered it with a thin layer of gel, and then painted over it to make it look like nothing happened. Anna and Thu always do a great job on my nails; they are constantly the same shape and length and just thick enough that they don't crack. Prices are very reasonable, and if you follow any of the health department findings, Lovely Nails is never mentioned for cleanliness issues. My nails after gel removal. My nails were healthy and strong and only had the hard gel on for 3 weeks. They used the wrong dremel and sanded my nails down so far it was burning, and that was in between soaking them in acetone. This isn't the correct or safe way to remove hard gel. My nail beds have been throbbing and nails keep ripping/snagging/breaking and it's so painful. It's been 5 weeks and they still look like this. Do not recommend. Took a long time to do simple nails. Technician was working on multiple people at the same time causing me to wait to have my nails finished. Nails have bubbles in them, are bumpy, and uneven. Constantly told technician to make nails more even but she insisted it was because my nails were different sizes. No other technician has said that to me in the years I've gotten my nails done. Salon also decided to give themselves an extra tip money on my card which I did not approve. Highly do not recommend! read more

I can here bc it's close to my house. I brought a friend and we were both a little disarmed by the vibe. We moved from our soaking chair to a mani chair where she polished on the floor. That was odd but okay. They she didn't like my color or brand I picked out. If only Like OPI then don't offer other brands, If you don't like the color don't carry it. Still I decided to give them a 2nd chance since it is so convenient. Brought my mother In law. She said she could take us And promptly had us soak in acitone to get the gel off... for over 30 minutes, I timed it? We spent 2.25 hours there to get polish change they down revenue give us a full manicure. So don't wiht this place I'll move on to the next closest shop and see how they do. read more

Unbelievably rude owner and staff. There is parking out back marked 'Teriyaki' but don't park there as a decade ago, lovely nails used to be some sort of restaurant. Now, the owner despite, the lack of signage, blocks people into the parking space with their car and refuses to move. When asked to move their car the owner says 'Every day someone park in my spot - you can wait until I decide to move.' If the problem happens everyday, address the problem with proper signage. There are a dozen businesses around the lot, all have proper signage for their spaces and NONE of them are a teriyaki restaurant. You create your own problem when there is an obvious and simple fix. Being rude about it with members of the community only exacerbates the challenge you have created for yourself. read more

Yesterday on June 17th, 2025 was my last ever visit to lovely nails after being a customer there for more than half my life and spending hundreds to thousands of dollars in services over many years. I went in for a pedicure with my mom around 3:30pm. They were understandably busy and let us know they would be with us soon. So as always, we waited patiently and politely for our turn to receive our service. Two of the employees then came to do our services and started talking with my mom and I was like normal until the lady doing my pedicure crossed the line. My mother had lost weight recently so the 2 ladies doing our pedicures asked how and complimented her. That was fine until the lady doing my toes turned to me and said, "You should learn from her." My mother and I were stunned at her comment. At no point is it EVER ok to fat shame one of your customers, or to talk to make comments about anyone body/weight in general. The lady could tell I was insulted and then after that proceeded to backtrack and try to fake compliment my skin and teeth asking about what products I use. In the years she has done my pedicures she has never spoken to me that much before. I have been going to lovely nails since I was a child with my mom and then paying for my own services there since I was a teen. Additionally, I was asked if I was still working at the same company and if I was making more money than my mom now? Why does it feel like money and status mean so much to you all there? The lady doing my mom's toes said I should have kids when my mom retires and I flat out said NO. My mom jumped in and said that just because you have a uterus doesn't mean you have to use it. Next, I was asked if I had a BF. I didn't want to really talk about that after already feeling insulted but said yes due to feeling exasperated. That was the only time the two gals doing our pedicures genuinely smiled or praised me. AGAIN, my mother jumped in and told them that there is more to life than having a BF. While the woman was massaging my feet and trimming my nails I kept hearing my name along with the phrase: "Đụ má" being said. If you speak Vietnamese or look that up with google translate the meaning of that phrase you know what it means. I would also like to note that during our service the gal doing my moms pedicure was fat shaming the owner's own daughter. Who does that?! It is so shallow, materialistic and small minded to believe that being skinny, attractive, having a BF, having kids and making a large sum of money at a job is what matters the most in this life. I waited until a good stopping point, stood up, explaining my mom would be paying, that I was leaving, and proceeded to walk out. I didn't even wait for polish to be applied. After I left my mom communicated that their words hurt me and to never speak to someone about their body at the salon or to anyone in general like that. The gals tried backtracking about what was said and my mom told them that they heard what was said, and that the woman did say it. My mom and I have both decided that we will never return to this salon ever again. My mother was a customer of lovely nails for well over 20 years. You just lost two very loyal customers due to the chosen behavior to your employees. You all need to take accountability for your behavior and educate yourselves in actual customer service and hospitality. To the woman who fat shamed me, "Đụ má." read more

I have been here a few times after trying so many of the nail places in Kenmore. This is by far the best place- I look for consistency in pricing, quality and how well all of them do nails because let's face it, you get someone different a lot of the time. *tip* they even have a shoulder massage that is well worth the money while you get your nails done. This was the WORST nail salon experience I've ever had. And I've had a few. I walked in, so the wait was understandable. But it was REALLY long. An older woman finally came over barely said a world to me and just started shoving my feet around. She was talking to someone else almost the whole time, and when she'd talk she'd stop working on my feet. She cut my toe nails WAY TOO short. Massage and exfoliation was non existent. She didn't do a base coat and I don't recall a top coat. She didn't file or touch my cuticles. It looked so messy. The water was scalding hot for both me and my friend, but they didn't ask if it was okay before they walked away. And her demeanor was just super cold, like I was an inconvenience. I can't believe I let my friend pay for that... My friend took me to get our nails done, so I didn't say anything at the time. I called today, to explain my terrible experience. I simply explained the situation and asked what they could do to fix it. The lady who answered was SO rude, just kept saying no, and that I needed a receipt. No, we can't do that. I didn't even get a chance to say I had a receipt, when she just said there's nothing they can do. I said, okay, I will definitely not be back. And she hung up on me without another word. No trying to troubleshoot. No attempt at making the situation right or hearing me out. Nothing. Steer clear! I'm sure some of the other ladies are great, but that experience was NOT worth the gamble. Absolutely terrible, I went with a friend and it was not very busy, it took them 5 hours for a full set with basic polish. she would leave and come back 30 minutes later. I felt neglected as people with no appointment were being treated and leaving befor she even painted my nails. Never going again i have never been treated so poor. I have only been there twice (so far) 1st time I went for a fill, because someone HIGHLY recommend to go. And a Lee did I great job, I'm new, but I'm picky about my nails. I was happy. In my opinion, better then Bothell nails in Canyon park. 2nd time went for a completely new set. I was running late and they still welcomed me (I called before hand) I brought my own colors and it was fine with Anna. (Woman in charge) I was late and picky. Not what they wanted at the end of the night, but we were still able to chat. I love Lee. I will also highly recommend Lovely Nails. I'm now Loyal, to Lovely Nails. They are great with French tip, and lacquer. Good color selection. I'm a lacquer kinda woman, pointed tip, medium length, kinda on the long side. And that's what she will give me. Im not someone who has ever found getting my nails done to be a fun experience. My first time at lovely nails I really enjoyed it.the atmosphere was relaxed but at the same Time filled with chatter and generous employees who usher us to our seats kindly. They were way past their closing time and it was full of women looking to get their nails Done last minute. They didn't mind. They invited us in happily and gratefully. They were very professional, authentic and I felt like I had been going there for years. The time came for the place to close but one employee stayed and worked on four clients and even waxed eyebrows all after hours. She went from each of us efficiently and caring about each of us like a superwoman! I've never had someone who took care over my nails that well to make sure the gel lasted longer than normal. The worst salon in Bothell. I called to make an appointment. Who answers the phone doesn't have an idea how to talk to costumers, basically asked me what I want. I made the appointment. To my arrival the place was a disappointment . The place looks old and dirty very crammed , all their supplies behind the chairs, paper towels, soap etc. Thank good covid is almost over because for sure you could got infected there. I came down for a basic mani and pedi nothing complicated . I picked my color ( no big selection) I waited around 10 min . The chairs were so basic , no bubbly water no good massage . I have very short nails so I know they can not really get in there but at least I know they have to cut my cuticles, nails, file them etc. They were just like you have very short nails, maybe two minutes spent on file / brush/ cut The massage was good although the stones were cold. I asked for a acrylic nail toe. Seemed too complicated it for them so I told them never mind The person who applied the nail polish did a mediocre job I had to tell her to do it here and there, even to remove an old nail polish on my pinky before apply the new one! I mean basic stuff! Another lady did my hands, as well nothing special, she applied the nail polish and I mentioned the bad job on my toes, she tried to fix it. I was waiting for the final clear nail polish coat and just kept waiting. ( I have been there one hour and an half already) I just I couldn't wait anymore and I asked her when is she going to apply it. She said she forgot and left me there. I had nail polish as well on my skin. I should have left there without paying but I can not do it, I paid and I remembered myself not going there anymore. worst experience ever! They are just the best. My feet take a beating (I'm a teacher and on my feet all day) and they do an amazing job restoring them. Hot stone massage is included. This is the only place I'll go anymore. Update: if you don't get Anna, it's hit or miss. My pedicure took over 85 minutes because the older lady doing my nails kept wandering away to chat with other employees. I am actually shocked that Lovely Nails has so many good reviews because my experiences here have been very disappointing. A few years ago, my mom-in-law and I came here regularly for pedis together. We liked the massage chairs and the salon was convenient for both of us. Long story short, she got a pedicure for her trip to Mexico, and as she applied sunscreen a few days later, her pedi wiped off! So, we went elsewhere. Last week, I needed a shellac manicure and regular pedi for a photo shoot, so I stopped by because Lovely is on my way home from work. Like I said, it's been a few years since I'd visited Lovely... I thought I'd give them another try. I came in about 5:00 and they were happy to take care of both my shellac mani and pedi at the same time. (In another salon I like, it takes them 45 minutes to do both, so I thought that getting both done at the same time was a great option!) Weeell, they sat me in the side of the salon that doesn't have massage chairs... which wasn't really a big deal to me because I expected to be out of there in 45 minutes anyway. Then, one of the older ladies went to work on my feet. She was amazing and I really appreciated the extensive hot stone massage. No complaints there, only that the nail clipping wasn't the same on both feet (a little type A maybe?) AND that my pedi chipped a day later. One thing I wondered was why the manicurist/owner hadn't started my mani yet. One more lady walked in after me and she got to work on her mani right away along with someone else who was there before me. She worked on 2 other women before getting around to me. Meanwhile, she piped up about her opinion a little too much about clients' color choices and sort of "vetoed" their ideas. I think my biggest complaint about Lovely is the owner. When I picked my color, I chose a very pale pink for my hands and brighter pink for my toes. The owner began painting my fingernails with a medium Barbie pink color nowhere near what I had chosen, so I stopped her and explained. She said it would fade in the UV light, but I've never experienced that before with shellac. In talking with friends, they've said that fading can occur, so maybe there is some validity to that, but even so, I strongly believe it wouldn't have faded to a ballet pink. She painted the first coat in the Barbie pink, and then added a second coat in a lighter shade. The result was fine, but not what I had asked for. Hello... I'm paying you for a service and I know what I want. I am open minded for ideas and thoughts, but not outright changes without consulting me! Anyhoo, after 2 coats and an hour and a half later, she was finished. Two coats? I think at other salons, it's been 3... although I guess I haven't been too concerned since they've been good... here, after my shellac, my paints were sheer! I could see the tips of my nails through the color. Ugh. That, and 2 days went by and my nails started peeling. Only a week later, and I was ready for a new mani. Normally, shellac lasts more than 2 weeks! Not only would I not recommend this place to anyone, I actually tell people NOT to go here. I have frequented this place for a few years and this place, although priced right, has gone downhill. Things started to change once they took over an adjoinng space and expanded. They added more chairs for pedicures and it was very crowded. Most of the same people are here but my last visit was enough to make me not return. I waited a reasonable amount of time; water turned on too hot and no bubbles like everyone else. Then I noticed how dirty the place was; blades and toe separators were being reused. Soaking tubs were rinsed, not completely washed out. The service was rushed and a bit rough (massage, cutting nails, etc.). All I can say is that I would love to find another place. Anyone know of a good, clean place for pedicures at $15 a shot. in this area? I would definitely be willing to pay more. UPDATE: 7/2011 I was back here in May and had a much better experience with Yan. Then I went back about two weeks ago and another disappointment. What is it with this place? The place has been cleaned up, they are now sterilizing tools and many of the chairs were replaced. That's the good news but it really depends on who you get. My pedicurist was in her 40's and seemed to mind every one's business, constantly looking around. The job she did was mediocre. There are so many places like this. I had a good manicure the first time so came back for a second. I will not be back again. After almost 3 hours for a mani/pedi, at a cost of $100 (plus suggestion I give a generous tip), and literally being yelled at and held to blame for the issues they were at fault for, I had a hard time being reasonable and was more docile than I should have been. The owner was very rude and unwilling to take responsibility for things. I literally stood at the side of the pedi chair for 10 minutes, very cold, until the little lady who didn't speak English, came and poured about an inch of hot water into foot bath, and left. I waited another 10 minutes standing alongside the chair (for all who cared to look could see) for more water to be added, instructions that I could get in, the jets to soak in, the back massage chair to be initiated, before finally, the boss lady came in and yelled at me for standing by chair stupidly for 20 minutes because there was water in the bath. It was somehow, my fault because the girl doing these pedi's did not speak English and because I'd stood there while the water was awaiting me. never mind it had taken 10 minutes to get that little bit of water in there at only half mast. another lady was also waiting a couple chairs down but after 10 minutes of waiting without even water to soak in, and had the wisdom to get up out of the pedi chair and leave. a lady named Lee was very sweet and tried to make up for what she knew was very poor service by giving me a neck and arm massage (not given any type of arm or hand massage by owner giving me the manicure), promising me the owner (only one who could put polish on my long done toenails) would be right with me. After 2 1/2 hours, I was finally taken back and haphazardly completed on the pedi. I went to pay and was astounded at the $100 bill and running me down at my gentle complaints, because "it take time to do good job. otherwise would not stay on long. If you want good job, it take time.". no apologies for their poor service or lack of accountability. Then asked what I wanted to give as tip. I made it clear that at $100 for a simple mani/pedi during which service and product was not impressive and took almost 3 hours, I couldn't afford a tip, but gave them $10 anyway. I am astounded at the terrible service and attitude of this shop owner. Thank God she had Lee to be cheerful and apologetic for her. However, I will never be back and certainly won't recommend her. read more
