I was heading out on vacation and needed a place to get my nails done. So I called Aloha roughly an hour before they closed and asked if they could do shellac mani pedi. They were able to accommodate me and my niece. I mention this because so many places will ask you to come the next day. I was happy they said yes. Now I was a little skeptical because of the mixed reviews but I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. My manicure was done with precision and care. They cuticles were taken care of and the polish was applied perfectly. For both manicure and pedicure, I chose colors that were a bit risky. I loved how they stopped to check in with me to ask if I loved the color and if not would have given me a chance to change. I didn't get anything fancy with the pedicure - no stone massage or special paraffin- just the basics. Which worked completely fine. So I'm writing this on vacation and every time I look down and my bright orange nails and toes, I get happy and I'm reminded of my great service at Aloha. Don't recommend this place. The lady cut my finger and put glue on it, nail glue. she start screaming at me. I told her I wanted her just to stop because my finger kept bleeding and she started screaming at me. Then she got my purse and shoes and and opened my purse. She didn't want to give me my belongings back. I had to tell her I will call the police if she even put a hand inside my purse. She requested payment. I really felt scared. I went to this nail shop 2 weeks ago to get a dip powder manicure. It was perfect except for the gnats! I made an appointment for two weeks out which was today. When I arrived I was told 10:40 when my appointment was for 10AM for mani and pedi. I proceeded to get my pedicure first which was the Aloha pedi. The woman did a great job cutting my nails and removing cuticles and skin. She switched with a guy in the shop and he completed the exfoliating massage and oil massage he went to get the hot stones....BURNT my lower leg....i jumped!!!! After I told him no do not put back on my legs he dipped in dirty pedicure water and tried to put them back on my legs. I said no please don't....he accidentally dropped them on the ground and tried to put the stones on my legs again!!!!! I am a cosmetologist for the state of WA and I know that was not suppose to happen!!!! I did not see his license on the wall and I am pretty sure he was not a manicurist nor cosmetologist. He said he was "the manager" I think he was helping out. I did not feel comfortable to get my manicure done here (I did not see the manicurist from 2 weeks ago) so I left with only a pedicure. I was so hopeful for this nail shop the young lady who was the nail tech two weeks prior to today was so good at her craft. Today I received the opposite experience. no empathy or remorse for what happened, I was shocked. I had to come home and put burn cream on the area the hot stones burnt. read more

I've been here a few times, the best experience was when I had my headphones in the whole time. I always feel uncomfortable about money there, they are either talking about bad experiences with other clients or you overhear a phone call from angry over -charged clients. I had been looking for a good nail salon as I go every three weeks, a good customer to have. A neighbor suggested Aloha. I gave them a good try as I was there almost a year. Eventually had to leave as they do sloppy work. It became worse the longer I was there. Fingernails were cut at different lengths. One pinkie was short and the other long. Switched technicians and she did much better but then she became sloppy too. The polish looked good and then she slapped on the top coat and as my nail grew out I had this ragged ridge at the base of my nail that caught on things and looked unsightly. Asked to have it corrected next time and she did it again. When you spend $80 plus tip every 3 weeks, I expect a good job. Left them and will not be coming back. I found an excellent salon that does a beautiful job called Adora Nails, just down the street. Really like their work and they are reasonably priced. read more

But the second time I came in to get just a simple painting of my nails, it was different. I guess it was kinda busy, and I was SUPER rushed. She took off my old polish and buffed my nails, then told me to pay. I said that I needed color and she told me again to pay first. I want to see the job before paying. This other girl finished me off and did an okay-ish job. It was $5, but since I didn't use cash, she charged my card an extra $0.50. There is a sign that says cash is preferred, but nothing about a fee. I wanted to give it at least one more fair try, but I feel bad about that experience, so I don't want to go back. The place itself is pretty outdated. I'm so disappointed because it was so close and cheap, but I'll pay a little more to not get treated that way again. read more

I come here every 2 weeks for a fill and once a month for a pedicure. I generally don't make an appt but they are always very accommodating. They do an amazing job and my nails always last. I never have any lifting or breakage. If you like artistic designs they do a beautiful job. I always get a ton of compliments on my nails. Their prices are beyond reasonable. I've been to many places that charge much more and have had my nails either pop off, lift or the polish looks less than perfect. I would give Tracy 100 stars if I could! Just went in reluctantly and got Tracy... I am never relaxed at the nail salon. I am the woman that will grab the file and file my own nails... Tracy has so wowed me! She filed my nails better then me! And I'm thinking how is that possible??? She takes such pride and it shows. So. ...I guess 3.5 stars I tried this place based on price. So did I really expect much? No. Not really. The reviews were decent and I just wanted to get my toes done with a pedicure. My feet aren't going to win me any gigs on America's Next Top Foot Model or anything. ..they've been broken and trashed from doing the 60 mile Breast Cancer walk a few times. ...but that being said. ..they are fairly well maintained. When I walked thru the door I was greeted by a gentleman asking what service I would like done. He told me to grab a polish and have a seat in the spa area. I will say they had a lot of ORLY brand polish. ...that and China Glaze. ...I've NEVER had good luck with ORLY. ...so I chose a China Glaze color called Pink Voltage. The girl who was doing my pedicure was very quiet. Very quick. Didn't try to up sale me any services, didn't say anything. There was only one other patron getting a manicure. ..who appeared to be a regular. The owner did come by as it was time to polish and asked if I'd like some flowers or designs. The girl did do a good job. ..I just got basic flowers. Then when it was time to pay the owners were more inviting and talkative. It was inexpensive, nothing fancy, a fair amount of pedicure stations, and my toes look good....but my feet don't feel spiffy by any means. No fancy massage, or sugars, or anything added. If I could put zero stars I would. We called and made an appointment for 3pm for two gels. My friend was helped and they did her whole manicure; it's not bad but the woman cut her and burnt her at least 4 times. She yanked her hands around and was insanely aggressive with the way she talked/gave directions. They triple booked themselves too, I wasn't helped the whole time and she ruined the nails that were on my fingers by taking half of them off only. She then did an entire dip set for someone else - in the middle of my nails, and THEN another woman walked in. I get they were short staffed maybe but it's how rude they were to us. After my friend paid with cash, the owner finally sat to finish my set and asked me about the color which I already had picked out, and then told me to move over to the station where she just finished another lady's dip set. She didn't change the paper towel with the previous lady's nail shaving ALL over it. It was so nasty, I had to ask to get a new towel and she ripped it away and yelled at me to grab the color I picked out, when I reached for it she physically batted my arm away and yelled at me again. I am appalled at this service. I always always tip and like to try out new places especially since my last set didn't turn out the best. Please don't come in here. The only decoration on the inside is just a spray painted "aloha nails" on a piece of wood. The 3.5 stars are deceiving, maybe it was just a bad day for them but I've had my nails done for years and never had worse service. My coworker and I decided to go get our nails done on our lunch. The ladies were really nice and got us in and out within 45 minutes. I didn't get anyone's name, but my coworkers gel manicure was beautiful and my pedicure was amazing. The space seemed clean from what I could tell, and she listened to what I wanted as far as my pedicure. The only thing that wasn't used during my pedicure was sugar scrub which isn't a huge deal because I have some at home. This will definitely be my go to spot from now. I walked in here on Superbowl Sunday with no appointment and received incredible service. I originally wanted just a pedicure, but they talked me into a manicure, too, which they did at the same time as my pedicure. They also didn't question my taste in manicure which I often get at other places (I'm a massage therapist so I need my nails SUPER short, with no polish), which I really appreciated. They also talked me into some cute flowers on my toes, which are hand drawn, not stickers/decals. The best part? The pedicure, flower upgrade, & manicure cost me the same amount as just a pedicure at the place I used to go to in Bellevue. And, of course, the customer service was excellent! And they're located in the stripmall right next to QFC in downtown Bothell so it's a real convenient location. I will definitely be back! read more
