TWICE I've booked Sunday appts, received two (or more) confirmation emails only to show up and find: someone hammering and sawing, looking surprised that I had the temerity to be there. Closed. Strike one. I booked an appt for today at 12:30. Two confirmations (and an alert!) later...Locked door. Strike two and likely three. I am livid. Do NOT book appointments when you are not open. Today I had the pleasure of watching this nail salon sanitize between clients. It was interesting you watch Rosie as she cleaned every surface with a sanitizer cloth, wipe it down with another and then use a steamer to make sure all her clients are safe. In between each step, she washed her own hands, so as not to transfer anything she may have gotten on herself! It was very interesting to see the lengths she went to and the time she took! This certainly adds at least another 10 minutes to any service, so please be aware and be patient. I would highly recommend this nail salon! read more

I absolutely love this place! I have been going here for 2+ years. The owner Rosie is a dream. She listens to my requests and executes it wonderfully. She also has fully trained staff that do wonders to my claws! Mandy does the best pedicures; however she is only available on the weekends and she booked quick! They have a huge selection of gel color nails. I just took a picture from f a few colors she has. She even has gel glow in the dark. The prices here are to die for!!! I have been coming this salon for over 10 years now. The owner and all of the workers are very kind. It's become easier to book appointments online or over the phone. With COVID, they do check your temperature and have you sign a waiver. People are also spread out to ensure safe social distancing. A little massage is included with your mani/pedi which is always pleasant. Sometimes you have to wait a little past your scheduled appointment to get in, but I recommend coming here and supporting local business. read more

Edit - Owners claims I was late at the appointment - NOT TRUE! I made appointment 2:40pm online, then around 2:10 they called and left voice mail if i can be there early. Obviously there are reason why i scheduled at 2:40pm, and i didn't get voice mail on time, so i didn't show up there early as they asked me. I actually went there at 2:30, which is earlier than actual appointment time. So Don't lie! I show up on time, and i didn't wait, just your service was suck. Also i did said multiple times i am freezing and cold. You guys pour hot water one or two times to make it warmer so what should i do more than just telling you guys i am cold? Last - because your employee forgot to do Paraffin before color, and then realized she should have done it, and applied paraffin after coloring my toe, my toe got all smudged. I noticed after i come home. Stop make excuses. So may things are wrong with this place. I will not recommend this place to anyone. Please avoid at all cost. Here, Long story short - 1. Their foot spa was not working (no hot water or bubbles) and yet they just made me sit in cold water for my 45 minutes pedicure 2. Little boy (owners son?) is beyond annoying. I am trying to be understanding here. However, he will yell, run, try to actually interact with customers (some might enjoy it, but when i am there for relaxing spa pedicure, the last thing i want is loud boy trying to get attention) 3. Most importantly, they are NOT good at their job. Okay - so here are details if you want to go with it. I scheduled 45 min spa pedicure with paraffin wax. During my pedicure, foot spa did not work. It was not pumping warm water and it was not generating any bubble. They tried to make it work but failed. Instead of offering me to go sit on actually working station, they just let me sit on cold water. I was annoyed but since they already started to work on cleaning up my toenails, i just let it go. Then i was sitting close to their "employee only" room and that room was FREEZING. like I was sitting outside and I could feel all cold and freezing air through that room. Now I am sitting on cold foot spa, and getting all these insanely cold (like no joke, it was freezer level cold air) air right at me. Problem was, even though the girl who were doing my toe nail kept asking little boy to close the door, he would not. he will in and out, let the door open. Oh he will also run, yell, play with bubble wrap and keep popping them right next to me, he will do whatever he wants to do. No one stops him. Seriously it was beyond annoying. And when you think things cannot be worse, but things can get worst from here. They forgot to do Paraffin! The actual serviced I scheduled and asked! I wasn't sure if they were doing paraffin after nail polish or before. I guess now i know answer. You do paraffin before nail polish. Because it will smudge your nail polish if you do right after your nail polish. How i know about that? because some smart person applied paraffin on my foot right after finishing up pedicure! Yikes So I spend money to sit on cold water, while uncontrolled child yelling and running around salon, and end up with smudged toe nail. How great is this? You know they lost my business. read more

Went for an eyebrow wax, got scalped! Little boy running around with potty mouth. The shortest pedicure on record- more of a wham bam thank you ma'am than a moment of relaxation. Mindi provides the best care and service for my pedicure (I have a difficult toe-nails). I see other customers are very well attended by their team. I've gone to get my nails done a few times here. Majority of the time I get my nails done by the owner. She does a great job however she has a hard time balancing her schedule which results in her getting behind and making people wait. I've tried coming in on off days and non high peak times and still the same outcome. Also I made a mistake one time in getting my nails done by the gentlemen that works there and he admitted he can't do shaping quite well with nail acrylics. The owner has to come over and shape them. She does good work but being that she's the only one that really can do nails properly and her always getting behind schedule it's too much of a gamble which is disappointing. read more

This is my second time going to Nail Code. I did make an appointment, we did wait 5 to 10 minutes but that is understandable. Last time I got a mani pedi and this time I got a shellac manicure and my daughter got a manicure. Both manicurists were newer but were both extremely attentive perfectionists and did an excellent job. It was $42 for both our manicures not including tip. Just visited Nail Code after 3 months of closure due to COVID 19. I have been a client of Nail Code for many years. They have implemented several precautions such as checking your temperature, plexiglass shields, hand santitizers, disinfecting each work station with a disinfecting cleansor as well as steam and mandatory face mask requirements. I was very impressed, but did not expect to be the only client in the salon for my entire 2 hour visit. This business is suffering greatly due to COVID 19 and have had to close Mon - Wed until business picks up. They do excellent work, so if you are looking for a clean, safe place to go for a manicure, pedicure or other services they offer, I highly recommend Nail Code. read more

I'm conflicted. I have been here twice. The first time I got a gel manicure and it was great, except after about a week and a half the edges started lifting, and eventually I took it all off. I gave it one more try, got a gel mani/pedi. The pedicure was fine, a couple of air bubbles here and there but nothing I would mention. But the manicure was odd. The owner did it, and was very distracted, on her cell phone most of the time and rushed through the polish. But it looked fine when I left, so ok. Within a day, these cracks started appearing on all my fingernails, see picture. It's now 1 week later and the edges are pulling up again and the cracks are worse. I think the problem is that they use oil-based products before applying the gel, which, as I understand it, isn't a good idea. I'll need to take this off soon before it peels off. So...mixed experiences but I don't think I'll be back, unfortunately. read more

This is the most enjoyable nail salon I've found in the North Seattle/Shoreline area, and it's improbably located about two blocks from my house. I'd lived here 8 months before actually registering it was there, and its exterior (complete with requisite hand-done sandwich board) gives no indication of the extra effort put into the inside paint and appointments. Walls are saturated in a happy brick red, plants are peppered throughout, and there's a kind of homey clutter, but it's a lovely deviation from the standard fluorescent, bare-bones "lab"-type salons that predominate. It's appreciably larger than it seems, with at least 5, maybe 6 chairs for pedicures and another row across the aisle for manicures and (unfortunately for people like me who detest the smell) acrylics. Best bet is to make an appointment, as otherwise waits can be a while. I've had good luck phoning ahead, however, and my pedicures from here last FREAKISHLY long. Freakishly, people. In other news, massage chairs at nail salons remain untouched by UX revolutions in other industries. These are no different, so expect, after hitting whatever random buttons seem likely on your remote, to have the chair massage your eyelid. But that's not Nail Code's fault; every massage chair is just here to frustrate user experience professionals. Besides, all sins are forgiven for an inviting, happy nail spot that's even open on Sundays. read more

Ok, this is the best pedicure and manicure I've gotten in a long time. And for $30 total including tax it can't be beat. 3 days later my nails still look great. They aren't afraid to get all up in there for the pedicure which I appreciate. I love Heavenly Nails up in Lynnwood but considering that's a half hour out of the way for me this is my new spot. It took about an hour and 15 minutes for both services and they did an extremely careful job.The ladies are no-nonsense while being friendly at the same time. This is my new spot. Love it! I used to get them all the time, and well, a recession is a recession. Anyway, my point: Probably the best pedicure I have ever had. I have had low end, high end, and everything in between. This was a high end $23.00 spa pedicure. Now, its a nail shop, but seriously, the pedi lasted an hour...and I was scrubbed and rubbed and my feet look like a million bucks. I saw Yen...she RULES. Since moving to Shoreline I have been on a hunt to find the right nail salon. I hate to say it but I'm really into aesthetics. The place not only has to have people that can do a good job but also has to look nice too. I finally tried this place today and am now happy to say that I found my nail salon!! This place looks nice on the inside. It has great spa chairs for pedicures and also has 2 TVs to watch while you're pampered. I was amazed at how long my foot massage was. It was amazing! Then at the end my feet were wrapped in a hot towel, I felt great. Since it was just me in there in the late afternoon I had my manicure in the spa chair as well. The staff was very nice and the place was very clean. They had a wide selection of OPI nail color to choose from and their prices are quite good for what you get. The massaging chairs are a nice extra touch and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I was very pleased and will be back for sure. The overall experience was amazing... Right up until some really rude women (a customer) decided it was okay to talk as loud as she could on her cell phone. No, no - NO! Do NOT waste your time coming here (for a full set or fill, atleast) I came in to do a drop in appointment for a full set and a pedicure. A woman with what looked to be a more sophisticated "nail code" shirt on took me to the manicure table. Little did she know, I'm a white American girl with a Vietnamese boyfriend. Also used to be a natural nail technician. I understand quite a bit and am flexible when it comes to technical services as I try not to be too picky. She started me - then told someone to take over so she could take a wax. She left me without saying a word. A new girl came and took over. Original lady came back and by the time she was finished my nails were THICK. I specifically wanted thinner nails, with a photo of MY previous set - hell I will get them done weekly I don't care. Off to the pedi, nothing to write home about... I don't really like pedicures I actually do them myself as I am worried about bowl fungus' -- but they had plenty of cleaner around so I felt pretty safe. I also spray my nails when I get home with a antibacterial/antifungal spray from the beauty supply. Lady was nice and it wasn't too cringe-worthy. Original lady then polished my manicure AFTER the pedicure -- then she dinged it when she came to check on it, dropped alcohol (thins the polish) and then repainted it again. I now have 5 coats of polish. I told her it would not dry, it will just be gummy. I didn't have time to sit and wait around so I just left and had a nasty thumbnail for a week. That's how long my nails lasted before they popped off. This has never happened in my nails being done for over a decade. That is all. Only thing good is the price -- $48 for both. I have been getting my nails done for the last 27 years and for whatever reason, the fills that I get at this salon seem to last for a long, long time. I can go for more than three weeks at a time. I am a nail picker so if I go to a not-so-good place, the fill starts to lift after two weeks. This place is clean and they are fairly quick with the fills. Went in today for a nail fill as I've been searching around my neighborhood for a new nail salon. It was a wonderful experience, very nice decor and nice girls. I kind of expected to get bad attitude being a new customer to the salon and wanting a somewhat time consuming design, but NO they said yes we can do it and it was pleasant from then on and my Halloween monster design came out great...look for it in the pictures...different face and color on each finger :) SO CUTE!!!! This is a review for eyebrow waxing only. I've been here twice, and was satisfied with my experience. Walking in, the place appears very nice and clean with two flat screen TVs, and a small waiting area to the right. However, the waxing room doesn't appear to be quite the nicest -I don't mind as much, but it would be beneficial for the customer to get a new bed, or at least change the out dated, stained sheets... Even with the protective paper cover on top, it just didn't look appealing laying on it. The eyebrow wax was standard, (no shaping, they just follow your natural shape) but they do take extra notice and trim/plucked before & afterwards to get a clean finish. Total process probably took no more than 15 minutes. However, DO communicate if you have concerns or how you like your eyebrows to be, so they do not over wax - keeping in mind their prime specialty is nails, not waxing. Price for eyebrow wax is $8. They accept credit cards (Visa/Mastercard), but charge a small fee ($.50) if total is under $15. (They didn't have a sign indicating that). Would recommend if you're looking to get an affordable wax touch up. read more

Took my sister to get a pedicure for her birthday. I read the reviews on yelp & decided to try this place. I wasn't impressed. My sister's lady rushed the pedicure to get to the next customer, she was also at the same time trying to help my lady who did not know fully what she was doing.
