Although this salon is about a three minute walk from my house, I refuse to go. I went in 2013 and got a really bad nail fungus. I waited a few years thinking they had changed staff, ownership or practices and I'm stuck with the same fungus again. I've never had this issue with any other nail salon I've gone to and I get mine done every four weeks. I've had customers at my beauty supply tell me the exact same story. read more

I went here based on recommendations from reviews on yelp, and I loved it! It was very modern, clean and easy for me to get to. I'm pretty new to the nail game, but this is my favorite place so far. I've always had a hard time getting what I pictured my nails to look like, but I asked for short nails, narrow and kind of rounded and they looked perfect! I think the best part though was my nail technicians son running around the shop. He was so cute, and he ended up dragging a chair to where I was and having me watch Tangled with him. I loved it! read more

My service was very bad. The communication wasn't good my nails weren't done correctly. I called in to make an app it for shellac and they applied regular nail polish with glitter for 40. I asked for an shellac. read more

The quickest pedi I've ever had. Not the worst, that trophy goes to Sense, but I digress. Like I said, the fastest pedi. Very little attention to detail. 40 degrees outside and the soak water was cold followed by a cold fan to dry my polish. I've been going here for about a year. Love the decor. It's pretty clean. The last couple times were not great, but this last time was bad. It's sad and Rosie was my technician. SLOW DOWN Rosie. read more

Best pedicures in the north end. Best I've found since I moved to Seattle in 2008. They do a great job, and are super friendly. The only bad thing is that everyone else knows about how great they are and they are always packed busy on weekends! read more

I used to love this place but now I hate it. The lady who owns it is more worried about a customer with a gucci bag then about her regular customers. She made my friend get up and move to another spot so this lady who looked more wealthy could sit. They over charge and aren't very warm and welcoming. read more

My sister and I called to schedule an appointment and the woman said she could fit us in. However, when we showed up there were five employees working on five women, two women were waiting, another came in behind us, and there were around SEVEN children lining the couch or standing around. We waited twenty minutes, and when one of the women in front of us was finally seated we decided we'd waited long enough. If you don't have time to see people, don't schedule them! So rude. We walked to the place across the street with bare walls, two employees, and two women getting done--asked if they had time, they said no, we thanked them and left. I'm going there next time. Pros: It was one of the nicest looking nail salons I'd seen. The children were actually ridiculously quiet. Cons: They led us on to get business, but ended up losing our patronage. The place was terribly ventilated, the fumes were too much. One of my friends realized this was the place she got a foot fungus from. read more

I have gone to this place for years. Yes are clean and can give a great pedicure but it's very hard to communicate with all of the gals e cent the owner. I had a blister on the back of my heel from breaking in a new pair of shoes and I must have told the gal 10x to plz avoid the heel but of course when she was scrubbing away with her hard loofa thing she went right over the heel causing lots of blood and pain for me. When I got upset and complained they were lacking empathy and sympathy and then told me maybe I shouldn't come back. What the hell I had been going there for years and I tip rather well. I wish the communication was not an issue. Also I hate how they always switched technicians. Pretty annoying. O and the kids they have their kids running around especially the non school aged ones. read more

I love that I finally found a great nail spa nearby! I remember going the first time they reopened; the new owner was still getting things in order but she did an excellent job on my pedi. I've been going ever since for my pedi, mani, and brow wax. The best bang for my money for sure. As far as making appts, it's always good to make one or at least call in ahead of time. Most of the time I don't have to wait more than a couple of minutes, even when I showed up for my appt 5 min late. They are fairly busy esp on the weekends so you could still end up waiting. Not any different though than when I've gone to other salons like Gene Juarez. read more

Rosie is so great, after I moved out of Shoreline to West Seattle, I could not find a place in West Seattle that I really liked, so on Sunday or Saturday mornings I just take a little drive right back up to Shoreline. They take extra care to be extremely clean, good atmosphere, big flatscreen TVs where they usually have a movie on for you to watch, also fun customers to talk to. They are always very nice and gentle, it's worth the trip for me. read more

Oh how I love this salon - the prices are BANGIN and my girlfriend and I sip on champagne while we sit and chat getting duel mani/pedis. The service and kindness of the staff is off the charts. I just wished I lived closer so I could go all of the time... this is a real gem of a place tucked away in cute Shoreline town :) mad props to the team at Nail Code... read more

Rosie is such a breath of fresh air!! She is absolutely amazing and always takes excellent care of me and my nails. I've lived in Washington for 2 years now and it's been such a hassle trying to find a nail salon that was similar to the one I went to in California which I was a client of for about 7 years.... Nail Code and the wonderful ladies who work there are very talented and very professional. I get asked about my nails all the time and I always strongly recommend this salon! read more

I've been loyal to this place for years, despite the lack of interpersonal skills of the women working. It takes HOURS to get in and out. I get acrylic nails with shellac and pedicures with shellac, so if I have anything else to do that day, I have to plan my nails hours in advance. That used to be okay because the quality of the nails was worth it, but they don't do a good job anymore! The last 3 times I've gone there, my nails have broken a day or two after getting them done! Last time I was there, I went in for my usual nails and toes, and scheduled it 3 hours before my hair appointment. Should have been plenty of time for a fill and a pedicure right? They took several walk-in pedicures, then put me at the end of the line even though I'd already been there 2 hours! They took the polish of my toes and that was it. I had to go. Three days later, my nails are starting to break. NEVER going back. read more

Went in for gel manicure and pedicure - the latter was fine but the girl who did my shellac didn't even use the correct color - I chose a light pink and she used "flesh" colored which I didn't realize until she had put 4 coats on. Also she didn't cover the entire nail so at 2 hours old it already looks like I have grow out. The towels were dirty and in general I feel the place is shabby. I won't be going back. read more

Had a pedicure/manicure on Mother's Day. Very enjoyable experience, they give very relaxing massages and it felt so great to have the feet and bottom-half of legs scrubbed to perfection. The employees were very friendly. I made the mistake of bumping my finger while it was drying and they corrected it. They have a rewards program where they give you a discount if you spend a certain amount. I would love to come back! read more

I've gotten my nails done here a couple times and they do a pretty good job, but I mainly come to get my eyebrows waxed! The ladies do such a good job! They wax, trim, and pluck; making sure that my eyebrows are shaped perfectly every time! The service is also very friendly! Eyebrow wax is $8, reasonable price for a great job! read more

Very clean salon. I stopped going to my last salon because it was looking so run down it wasn't a pleasant place to be. Nail Code is a very pleasant place to go and get pampered for a little while. I go here regularly for mani's & pedi's. They do an excellent job every time and they accept debit/credit cards. read more

Terrible customer service here. Two friends and I walked in wanting pedicures, the lady promptly said she was the only one there and to come back tomorrow. There was only one other person there so i don't see what the problem was. Personally I think that is crap service, we were in no hurry and just came to enjoy ourselves for a bit. I will never give this place another chance and refer all friends to other nail salons. read more

I went once for shilac nails... $40 with tip and the first one peeled off like a sticker and stuck to my face in the middle of the night. The rest followed soon after. They are nice but over priced and poor quality polish. read more

Great place and they do a beautiful job! They always greet me by name and seem happy to see me. I highly recommend Nail Code!

This place is ok and the cleanliness is better than most. They take their instruments out of sterile packets which I like to see. However they do have a lot of staff turnover which I find unsettling. They always seem to have an opening but then again I try not to go during peak times. read more

I made an appointment for a manicure and pedicure with my sister for her wedding. We arrived there and my sister sat down for her pedicure and I sat down to get a full set (I didn't get a pedicure). When my sister was finished with her pedicure the lady thought she was done and had forgotten about the manicure. She then was handed over to a different woman who only works there in the summer and doesn't do nails usually and she didn't know how to do a French tip. Then my sister was handed over to another woman who did a crappy job on her nails. Places where missing white tips, it was crooked, nails weren't filed down well and it just didn't end up good. The lady who did my nails did a good job on not cutting my cuticles and leaving it messy. I also had my upper lip waxed and afterwards looking in the mirror there was still little hairs and it was another sloppy job. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Nail Code - Bad French tip. - Nail Salons Near Me - Shoreline, Washington

I set up my appointment with Rosie at 2:20 pm~when I arrived Rosie knew nothing about the appointment. The visit only become worse she had me set ip with someone manes Kelly Lee and I've have many pedicures in my life this was by far the worst experience toenails where cut uneven and at the end she threw the semi warm towel on my legs and stated she was done! My legs where soaked and I had to dry them myself/Rosie appeared to have cared less perhaps more focused on her upcoming trip rather having a satisfied customer. I'll never go back read more

End of October 2012 I came to this business (recommended) to have my french tip nails removed for the first time. The young girl who removed them did not use any finger nail removal to soak the nails. Being inexperienced in having my fake nails removed for the first time I asked her why she would not soak the nail. There was a language barrier and she continued to take off the fake nail with a metal file! It was very uncomfortable. When she finished two other ladies working there were looking over my nails to try and smooth them out. My nails are aweful and they took my money. I called later that week and spoke with the Manager and the man said he would talk with the girls and call me back. He never called back! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I am leaving to Europe soon and having professionals put shelac on my damaged nails to help grow them out and become healthy again. read more

Two times I have called and asked for an appointment and they said come in. Then I show up and they say 30 more minutes. They are rude about it too. I wil not go to Nail Code again. read more

Called to set up an appointment for a manicure at 1:15. Was asked to come in at 12:30 instead. So i walked two miles to nail code and arrived at 12:20, the front desk person whom i spoke with on the phone told me he didnt check the schedule and id now have to wait until 1:15 to get my nails done. Very unorganized and i wasted my time ended up not getting my manicure. read more

They do fine with regular polish, but my gel manicure was thick, globby and had bumps. Possibly the worst gel manicure I've ever had. I was charged $50 for a regular pedicure and a horrible gel manicure. I've paid less for better service and better nails in Seattle. Save your money and drive to Seattle. read more

I'm really picky and have been all over to try to find a good nail place and I've been back here the most after my last nail place changed owners. I am a fan now, the nail designs always get me compliments :) read more

Quality. Relaxing. Sometimes get awesome foot rub. They work wonders with my ugly runners feet. They do nice designs

Uncooperative when paying. Owner didn't understand how a Visa gift card works and completely made a mess out of a simple transaction. I lost $3.00 in the transaction which could of been avoided if the owner had cooperated. read more

I've been looking around for a new nail salon and when i read the reviews on here I was super excited thinking that I had found an amazing new place that not only did a good job but was relaxing. I am not sure if I caught them on a bad day or if I just have ridiculous standards, but here I go. I went in last night as a Walk In because their website states an appointment is not required. They said they could not see me because they were too busy. I called today and made an appointment for a fill and was seen right away. Apparently the person who started my nails is new or something because every question that I asked her, she repeated in her language, waited for the answer and then answered me in English. She asked me if I wanted my nails shorter, I indicated that I did, and that I had 3.5 weeks of grow out from my normal length. She grazed the ends of my nails lightly, taking no length off. I then asked her to make them shorter and she did the same thing, still not removing length. At that time I realized it was a lost cause to push any further. At that time a second lady came and took over, she had the headset on for the phone and brought her appointment book with her. She began my nails and was very rushed, spending so little time with the Dremel on each nail that she didn't even touch the whole surface. I might add that she filled in PINK acrylic into my existing CLEAR acrylic nails !!! (Talk about a look that I was NOT going for.) She seemed more preoccupied with greeting customers as they came in the front door and confirming their appointments than focusing on my nails, with every person that came in she became more and more rushed, just trying to get my nails done. I left the shop with chunks of Acrylic on the sides of my nails, and the corners of my nails so sharp they could draw blood. I am so excited to get to spend the next half an hour working on my nails so that they are up to my standards. There were small kids running around in the shop the whole time, into and out of the back room, playing games and videos on Tablets, with the volume turned all the way up ... between that, and the feeling of being rushed out of the place, Relaxing is NOT the word that I would use to describe it. Was going to go and get a pedicure later this week, but I think I might go to the next place on my list ... read more

Driving to Seattle i decided to randomly pull into a town and get a pedi, so happy I did! Massage and nail art are the best I've had so far (I've tried a ridiculous number of places). They do get really busy so I'd recommend making an appointment :) Enjoy. read more

I went there last night with my girlfriends and the experience was great! I highly recommend.

I went in for a manicure and an eyebrow waxing and I am very pleased with the results! The gal was very thorough, and quite good with the hand massage. The decor was clean and cozy. I will be returning. read more

Very polite and my shellac has lasted longer than anywhere else. I've been broke and haven't been able to have them done in over a month and my shellac is still perfect. I would give them five stars but it did take a lot longer and the atmosphere wasn't the best. Very dark and smelly. read more

The salon is cute and comfortable. The massage chairs are the best I've ever sat in. Although, do not trust their appointment system. They over schedule themselves and then leave people with appointments waiting for 20 minutes or more. That being said, I would rather wait for an enjoyable pedicure than have a quick disappointing experience. Thank you Nail Code! read more

You can never do walk-ins because they are too busy, and it is way overpriced for the quality. First, they were out of a ton of gel colors. Then the lady got clear gel polish all over my finger pad from the side of the bottle, and didn't notice until it was dried on. My shellac nails were painted on very poorly and chipped/peeled within 3 days. Do NOT go here. read more
