I really don't like leaving bad reviews. At all. The wait was about 50 minutes long which was no issue. I knew they were busy. But when the lady got to me she rushed through my pedicure so fast. She would put each layer of polish on and would only give 5-8 seconds allow to dry under the uv light. Everything was so rushed that I told her I didn't want to get a manicure (I lied and said I had to go walk my dog). $47 for maybe about 15 minutes? Yikes. First off, one of the sloppiest acrylic sets I've ever seen. I asked for my color, shape and told them I didn't want gel. They didn't let me pick my color and just guessed and guessed wrong. I asked for matte black, I got gloss, they tired to do gel without asking and luckily I told them no. Didn't listen to me at all. My nails are uneven, each one is a different shape and it's not even what I asked for. The only reason I gave two stars is because I've had worse. I will not be coming back. I usually visit next door, but I always see a lot of customers go in and out of here so I decided to give this salon a try. I'm always concerned about how sanitary nail salons are but this one is very clean and they also have massage chairs. They definitely did not disappoint! Prices are very reasonable and the ladies are extremely nice. I had a shellac manicure done for $25 and they said it would be $15 if I don't need my nails filed and cuticles cut. I think it's $45 for shellac mani/pedi. Regular is like half that price. The lady also gave me a really nice hand/arm massage and even a shoulder massage, which I really needed! The ladies here are very nice and friendly, but unfortunately things didn't go well with me :( I was a walk in to get a manicure and Shellac, i was told to wait for 10 minutes...i waited 40 minutes. The only reason why I waited was because I had had waxing here before and it was great, so i was seated and the area was dirty with red acrylic residue from previous person the towel they use was not even cleaned. I feel like the manicure was rushed and when the Shellac came on it was not even smooth. There was bubbles on the Shellac and it was not an even coat. The 2 minute message hurt...but i said nothing because i didn't want to cause a scene and they were busy at this time. I also had waxing done but that was a different story, they did a good job. This review is for Shellac mani only. My usual place couldn't get me in right away and I was in a hurry. 1 review... I thought what the heck, I'll give them a chance. Place looked clean enough, staff was friendly, quickly seated and a variety of colors to choose from. All downhill from there... The whole thing was rushed (no one was waiting after me) fastest Shellac I've ever gotten. Did not do a good job with cuticles, to remove my shellac she used a file and her nails! I asked her to keep the shape but file a little shorter...she started using the nail clipper and cut them shorter than I asked for. I left with uneven nails and I'm talking shape and length. Also, had the shellac paint on my fingers not just nails. You're probably wondering why didn't I ask her to fix it while I was there...I did about 4 times, she would mess with it and say its good now...I just wanted to leave and gave up. read more

I've been to this salon a few times and it feels like home. I brought in my 7 month old baby, he's a handful and it was difficult to get a pedi and a acrylic re-fill with him on my lap. The technicians took turns bouncing him around and were very nice and pleasant about the whole thing. I received a pedicure and it was great. They take their time to give a good massage and used several different types of lotions and scrubs. There was some left over paint in places but nothing that wouldn't come off in the shower. I also got a shellac acrylic fill, it was a very routine procedure and turned out beautiful. I know some people prefer to not have much conversation, but this is my social hour to get out of the house. The owners talked the entire time and make you feel so comfortable. 4 stars because the employees are really nice, the place is generally clean and their massage chairs actually work, however there were a few things that I wish had been better. Maybe I'll try another time to see. Got a regular pedicure and shellac manicure. Pedicure was great except she left some polish on the side of the nail which looked sloppy and I scraped it off later. It's not a huge deal but part of the reason I get my nails done at a salon is so that it make it look neat because I can't do that myself. I don't like to nit pick about things but I feel like I have to mention these: The inside of the UV light was not clean. I've been to other salons where they've used the exact same light so I know how it's supposed to feel. There was some weird goo or something inside and I could feel it on my fingers. It felt like lotion or vaseline or something. It was grossing me out so I mentioned to the technician but he just looked inside and said it was fine. I didn't want to make a fuss so I just went with it. The really weird thing: nail techs usually use a metal tool to scrape the old shellac off after softening it with acetone, but this guy used his (one) super long thumbnail! While I can't think of a reason why this would be particularly unhygienic since he washed his hands, it was still really weird and awkward. I was embarrassed so I didn't say anything and just let it be. Granted it gets the job done but it's just kind of... gross? Meh. There were also bits of shellac polish on the skin around my nail once they were done. Forgot to take a picture; it wasn't too bad, but still noticeable. Like a splotch on the side of the nail. So overall, cute salon and nice employees but it could be a lot better with a little more attention to detail... and scraping polish with an actual tool. read more

Very sloppy work, I got a shellac mani and a pedicure and the service time took a total of 25 minutes and the work was very inconsistent and sloppy. It looked like a child did my nails. I was so upset that I didn't tip the gal and she was very upset about that. She asked twice for a tip and then tried to shame me for not tipping for such a terrible service. She then very aggressively slapped me on the back and said merry Christmas. I will never go back to this place! read more

Went Sunday for a mani/pedi. It's always a little different depending on who does your service, but all in all very nice. For the mani/pedi they do the hand softening wax on hands & feet, I got a really good foot massage and a neck massage. Plus the chair is a massage chair. The cost was $32.00 for both. The guy here is amazing so im giving 2 stars just for him.... Ive seen him twice for mani and pedi and both epxeriences were perfect. The person I believe is the owner is horrible. I came in for shellac mani/pedi. She did my mani he did my pedi. First off after soaking my nails to remove my old shellac she used her own nails to scrape the polish off. Gross... I should have made her stop then. Each color of shellac I chose she came back and said they didn't have that color and brought something similar. I didn't want similar I wanted the color I chose. We went through this 4 times. When it was time to polish the first coat she put on my nails was so dried out it only left a line of polish on each nail and she still had me cure it under the light. So it left a clumpy line on each nail.. So weird that she didnt see that. Then for the color she opened an old thick bottle of polish. I told her it looked really old and she assured me it would be fine. After the first coat of color I could see the line from the first polish she put on. I told her and she just kept saying its ok just wait. Well after the last coat of color it looked just as I thought... horrible, clumpy, streaky, just terrible. I was so confused as to how she couldn't see what I was seeing. She must be loosing her eye sight because seriously it was bad. I asked her to take it off but because it was shellac its a process. She got frustrated and said it would take 30 minutes. I said it looks terrible I cant leave like this. Instead of using liquid remover to remove it she pulled out her electric sander that is used on acrylic nails and sanded off the polish and my own nails. She sanded off so much of my nails it got hot and I asked her to stop. I refused to let her touch my nails any further so I left with no polish. She still charged me for the mani. Which I paid without saying anything. I was not going to write a review or say anything but it has been 2 weeks and my nails are so thin they are ripping more and more everyday and now are so short in spots my nails hurt. She ruined my nails. They are in such bad shape that I couldnt help but say something. Be warned stay away from this place. There are too many other good options than to waste your time with a place that would do this to your nails. She actually made me feel like the horrible job she was doing was somehow my fault. I have been coming here for a couple months mostly because I like that they open at 930 but after this I will never go back. read more

Excellent Luxury pedicure! Lynn was great and took her time to ensure my toes and feet looked amazing. They exfoliate, scrub, massage, use wax, and massage again while waiting for the wax to dry. Save yourself the trip. This salon has awful service, they were rushing all the time through the manicure and pedicure. When they messed up on my manicure they wouldn't fix it. The nail polish chips the same day. They don't put it in well- it's bumpy and they get in on your skin and don't clean it off. They just don't care. read more

Watch closely, they use the same instruments and tools from one customer to the next - no cleaning or sanitizing or even switching tools! It took me going here for a couple of years and developing a fungus which made me lose my toenail, before I finally stopped staring at my phone while in here and watched what was happening in the salon. I love coming to Rose Hill Nails! I have to admit, my nails probably turn out just like they would anywhere else, but the experience is unlike no other! The technicians who work there are the nicest people and typically I get an amazingly long massage for pedicures. For manicures they usually give an arm and shoulder massage too, something I haven't gotten other places in Kirkland! I also enjoy that they have tv that usually plays Channel 4 or Food Network. I've tried to go other places in Kirkland and I'm always wishing I would have just stuck to my regular routine of going here! read more

I have driven from Shoreline to Kirkland to have my Mani/Pedi & eyebrow wax done by Lynn & Tracy for 11 years. They have a clean Salon and always make sure I am satisfied before I leave. I have a bad habit of accidentally bumping my nails when they are drying. After 11 years of me doing this, I have never seen them get upset or irritated, they just happily fix it. I have tried over the years to find a location closer to my home in Shoreline but I can never find one that comes close to the results that I get at Rose Hill Nail Salon. Plus I see them as more then just ladies that do my nails and wax my eyebrows I would say that they have become friends of sorts as they are genuine caring people that I look forward to seeing every few weeks.
