I stopped in a few weeks ago for a pedicure. I walked in after lunch and was able to book a same-day appointment for about three hours later, roughly an hour before closing, which worked out fine for my schedule. The atmosphere was genuinely pleasant. The spa was clean, well-organized, and appeared to use quality products. First impressions were solid. My only issue was fit rather than quality. I'm a guy who works out and does Olympic lifting, and I get pedicures about once a month, so my feet tend to be heavily calloused and need firm, thorough work. My technician had a lighter touch that didn't quite address that. The result was the least effective pedicure I've had, though I want to be clear that's likely a mismatch more than a reflection of her skill. I had high hopes for my first appointment here. They offer builder gel, which I was excited about, and Teresa did a great job on my nails. At the end of the service, she told me that if anything broke within 7 days, I could return for a free fix. By Monday night, one nail had broken and there was visible damage to the tips of several others. I called Tuesday and was told to come in and that my manicure would be redone at no charge. However, when I returned Wednesday, I was informed after the service that I would need to pay full price because the employee I spoke to was new and hadn't documented anything about a break or fix in my profile. After some back and forth, they offered $20 off due to their internal miscommunication. At that point, I chose to pay and leave rather than continue debating their policies and communication issues. That is not something a customer should have to navigate. Clear policies, proper staff training, and communication are the responsibility of ownership and management. If I had known I would be charged again, I would not have come back at all. It's not reasonable to pay for two manicures in less than five days. I would expect my nails to last at least two weeks. Due to the inconsistent communication and unclear policies, I will not be returning to y2 nails. read more

I have been to this nail salon four times in the past year and a half. Otherwise I haven't gone anywhere else. Unfortunately, the last time I went I booked the $30 manicure and when I went to pay, I was told that they don't offer that manicure anymore even though it is on their website and they charged me for the $40 manicure; they also used the grinder to remove the gel and push back cuticles which caused thinning and indentations in my nails, and within a week I have a nail fungus in multiple nails (also pictured). I am so disappointed and thought I had found a new local place to frequent, but I won't be going back again. I ended up having to go to a dermatologist and getting on medication due to this nail fungus. I went into the nail salon had a nice conversation with the owner showed him my nails and he did refund me for the manicure and apologize and that employee no longer works there. read more

Congratulations on opening the nail salon!! I live close by and was excited to try the mani/pedi services offered here. I love the minimal decor of this salon. Chic and clean. Nice sleek looking massage chairs too. Super comfy. This nail salon has only been opened for 2 weeks, and they're still doing some minor interior work (ceilings). The lady at the front desk is super friendly and helpful. She kindly offered me something to drink too. I appreciated that there were two ladies available to have my hands and feet done at the same time. She speaks English fluently, so if you need to communicate something with any of the girls you might want to speak with her first. ***Fun stuff: Got 20% off because they're newly opened and also a cute little hand lotion! The lady who was doing my feet seemed to be less experienced and I didn't feel comfortable continuing with her, so I brought this to the attention of the lady at the front desk and she happily asked someone else to continue working with me. I felt comfortable and happy with the new person. I was very comfortable with the lady who did my hands. Though it would have been nice to have some lotion applied on my hands afterwards, which is usually the case when you get a gel mani done. Not sure if she just genuinely forgot. I was offered complimentary snacks and drinks and most importantly I didn't feel judged or rushed when picking out the colors/designs I wanted for my nails. 1 star I had an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience at Y2 Nails Lounge and feel obligated to warn other customers. I arrived for my appointment at 2 PM with clear reference photos. The staff repeatedly told me "Yes, we can do it", but after spending a long time selecting colors, I was then told they actually couldn't do the design. This happened multiple times with different designs (Photo 1, Photo 2, Photo 3). I ended up being stuck in the salon for almost 4 hours, constantly changing because of their mistakes and misinformation. For my hands, I agreed to a $150 pearly design and they even finished prepping and shaping my nails--only to suddenly tell me again that the pearl effect "might not work." When I switched to another design (Photo 4), they did it wrong, and the nail tech suggested covering the mistake with rhinestones. The nail tech herself kept apologizing, but what made the entire experience truly horrible was the male owner's attitude. He came over and told me they "had other appointments," making me feel like I was causing trouble--even though all the delays were caused by them repeatedly promising something they couldn't do. At checkout, the male owner told me I wasted their time, which was incredibly hurtful and unprofessional. I actually ended up crying because of how rude he was. In the end, after 4 hours of frustration, I walked out with only two simple single-color nails and was charged $260. This place: * Promises designs they cannot deliver * Repeatedly changes what they "can" do after service already starts * Makes mistakes and tries to cover them * Has extremely rude management * Overcharges for basic work This was one of the worst nail salon experiences I have ever had. I absolutely do not recommend this salon, especially because of the owner's behavior. read more

OMG THIS IS THE BEST PEDICURE IN KIRKLAND, also the do gelx so I got a full set of nails and amazing pedicure in an hour and 30 mins.. the girls are so incredibly friendly and the owner checked us in and showed us all the different types and kinds of gel polish, he offered us a beverage( coke, Diet Coke or waters).. this building is BEAUTIFUL and incredibly clean. They open sanitized tools to use and they do gelx so it doesn't smell like acrylic. big plus because it causes a migraine for me. You can make your appointment online and see all their prices. This is my new favorite nail salon in the entire greater Seattle area including all of the Eastside! I've been searching all the Eastside (Redmond, Kirkland, Bellevue, Woodinville) area after moving from Capitol Hill during Covid for years across all price points and this place blew everything else out of the water on every front. It's so clean (they actually use only single use tools) and they have the best colors I've seen anywhere besides LA (where I lived for ten years) with anything you could want from jelly nails, cat eye, chrome, neutrals, neons. Everyone is so kind and helpful, I showed them some Pinterest photos and they helped suggest the best colors to make my milky nail dreams come true. They also pay so much attention to detail, I got a BioGel manicure and deluxe pedicure with gel polish and the detail they took is unparalleled. Every edge is perfect (even the often neglected under edge), all the products are high quality, and my nails and cuticles feel so healthy and fresh. I think it's because of that renowned product quality and technical focus on nail health involved in a Japanese manicure (look it up). It's so easy to book online and there is tons of easy parking in the lot-- don't let the exterior fool you, walking in you instantly feel transported to a chic, luxury day spa. They also can do amazing nail art, I saw some of the technicians practicing some really advanced techniques while waiting for their next clients. It is a little pricier than other salons but I've paid the same (if not more) for gel manicures that look much worse and these will clearly look amazing for weeks to come. If you want a high quality salon experience with nails you will get endless compliments on, don't hesitate and book now! I tried talking to them about the outrageous price & that I've been many, many, many salons, & have never been charged a price like this one. They said they couldn't do anything about it as they have already charged my credit card. I left & after several phone calls later on for a refund, & lots of patience, they just said they could give me a 10% discount, which wouldn't even cover the tip they charged me!! Super thorough and relaxing service! I got gel X and gel polish on my fingers and a lavender color normal OPI polish on my toes. very pretty. All the employees were nice, offered water/ a few drink types, gave out free unscented hand lotion at the end, and they had lofi beats playing the whole time. The only thing that was kind of disruptive was them refilling their bottles on the carts with chemicals/ lotion and stuff. They were pounding/ pumping for a while which disrupted to peacefulness of it after such a relaxing leg massage and soak. I totally understand that there's work to be done, but my appointment was at 11:45 am, not like end of day squeeze in. 10/10 would recommend them to anyone looking for clean and crisp service with a beautiful ambience and little take home gifts. read more

Beautiful salon, girls are super nice and the place is clean except the bathroom which didn't have any toilet paper and had a ring of scum around the toilet bowl because it hasn't been scrubbed in a very long time. My appointment was for 4:45 I got a call saying they're running a bit behind and to come at 5 instead. Annoying but I get it. I walked in at 5:02 and they had already given my appointment to someone else; once again, annoying but not the end of the world. I had to wait another 30 mins. But the thing that really ruined my experience is not having clear pricing. On their website it says $10+ for designs and under that it says that includes chrome and French tips. So I figured an extra $20 seemed fair to me, so I wanted a basic gelx set with plain French tips and chrome over the whole thing. I was expecting to spend $105 plus tip. I showed the lady that checked me in the design and nothing was said about pricing. After my nails were completed and it's time to check out my total is $133 WITHOUT TIP. It seemed incredibly predatory because I'm not going to embarrass the sweet girl who just did my nails or ruin her night by not tipping. Very high pressure at the end because of this. Absolutely ruined my experience. I got $4 in hand creams that they're giving away for Christmas to compensate for their lack of clarity. Their website needs to have more clear prices listed or they need to tell the client the price beforehand (especially considering they had an extra half hour to talk to me while they made me wait again) so clients can decide if they want to do something or not. Incredibly disappointing way end to the night. I was hoping to find a new nail place but this one clearly isn't it. read more
