Zero stars. THE WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had at a nail salon. The lady who did my dip manicure was so rough that she started to make me bleed. On top of that, she was going to send me out of the salon with nail polish all over my skin on my fingers. Please see the pictures attached. And when I tried to bring it to her attention, she didn't even apologize and it was as if I was bothering her to fix her mistake and told me that it should go away after I wash my hands... it didn't, so I grabbed the acetone and cleaned it off myself. The most unprofessional nail tech I've ever experienced. On top of that, I went to pay, they gave me a different price than what I was quoted on the phone. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST, unless you want to have to raw and bleeding nails/fingers. It has been over 24 hours and my cuticles still hurt from being pushed too far back.

My feet right after the pedicure

I went in for a pedicure and noticed my heels were looking just as dry and cracked with dead skin during the treatment. I asked the worker to please use the shaver to shave off some dead skin, but they refused because they said that removing the dead skin with shaver creates more dead skin later on. Even going to say that they, themselves, don't use the shaver for their own feet for that reason. I just let it go and left after the treatment having paid over $50. These pictures of my heels were literally taken right after the pedicure. Never have I had a pedicure and my heels looked the same after. Being unsatisfied, I texted pictures and went back to the salon to get my heels looking smooth. The lady told me that they didn't use the shaver because it's more expensive $5 more, which was not the case ever before when I had frequented this salon before. Also, it was not the case for me because the worker had just refused to do it for me during first treatment, instead of letting me know it would be "$5 more expensive" for shaving off dead skin. I thought it was pretty ridiculous that they would try to make a lame excuse for my feet looking like that after an expensive pedicure, instead of just apologizing and fixing the job. Also, I wouldn't be leaving this review if they just apologized and fixed it for me. However, over two times they mentioned many excuses as to why the shaver wasn't used and why it was so dry. I won't be going back. It was a waste of my time making two trips out for a pedicure that just should have been done right from the beginning. It was much better under old ownership. Don't waste your time here! P.S: I noticed it is also dirty and others shaved nail or foot powder is everywhere on the massage chair arm stands and table stand. I don't believe they wipe down or clean it after use. I had to use tissues and water to wipe mine down when I sat down. Do not go here. There are other salons that are cleaner and know what they are doing. On another note, owner was also involving the customer next to me into our conversation when I went back, telling her, "Oh, see it's winter so it's dry and you need to vaseline your feet at night." Why would you do that? Very unprofessional. Bad service, overall. Period.

No shaping the acrylic under the nails

Moved to the area, and started the dreadful "looking for a new nail salon." Has an appointment today, went in, asked if I had one, stated yes, seemed like they didn't believe me but that's ok, being right at opening isn't a huge deal, ppl are tired. I've never been to a nail salon that takes over an hour for basic short nails. Then at the end, I notice a huge bubble and the solution was to first tell me, it was dirt under my cuticle, then when I stated there's no dirt there, it's a bubble, they looked again and then buffed it down so now there's uneven nail polish that you can clearly see. Won't be back. Definitely not some place I'd recommend anyone going too.

Inspo pic but only wanted red.

Don't get me wrong the staff nice!!! Good experience. I made an appointment for a fill plus got a nail added since one had fallen off a day prior. The nail that was repaired was very thick and round compared to the other nails I had gotten done elsewhere (central wash.) and little attention to details were made. My nails were barely filed around the side to ensure straight ends and so I had to fix it with my own file at home. What I thought was a simple request was pretty hard because they wanted to give me French tip straight across my nail with no curve they had to restart a few times. All I wanted was a red sparkly French tip which I showed them an inspo pic as well as I had white French tips before the fill so I just wanted the same thing I had but a different color. More than two people had worked on my nails so immediately a red flag for personal preferences. Overall the shop is busy looking inside, they have many different services being provided such as people getting their hair cuts which was very different. I was kind of sad that I paid $70 for a fill and simple nail "design" it's kind of an outrageous price but I will maybe just go back to doing my own nails again (self taught). The smell of the cuticle oil that used on me at the end seems to still linger a day later after washing hands a lot of times.

I highly highly recommend this salon. My acrylic nails often fall off quick, but Kim does the most amazing job that they stay on forever. She is such an amazing artist. I also got a pedicure which was amazing. I wish I got her name, she was very kind. Will always be coming back!

Newly done toes

My toes are "F"-d up. $55 later and I've got children painted nails. It was a guy who did it. He knew it was messed up.

I have lived across from here for years and had never tried them but boy am I glad that I did today! My nails have never looked better, Kim did an incredible job!! My pedicure was literally the best I've ever had and I've had a lot of pedicures! The staff was so friendly and inviting! I have definitely found a home here for my nails and will be a repeat customer. I've already started telling my friends about this place and highly recommend if you're looking for a new place as well!

I went in during the day for a pedi and it was super quiet. The place looks pretty clean, and the leg and foot massages were great! It was super relaxing and even though I knew to expect that from other Yelpers here, it was still welcome and appreciated! The lady who did my pedicure wasn't overly chatty but she was super sweet. She made sure I was comfortable with the water temperature and also made sure the massage wasn't too hard. I had to get my nails trimmed and my pedicurist did a good job with pushing the cuticles back and taking care of the skin around the nails. I am taking a star off here though, because I had a huge hangnail on one toe and as she was trimming she clipped it and looked me straight in the eye as she put it on my foot to show me! Gross. Then it stayed there while she worked on my other foot... Getting the nails painted done was quick but didn't feel like it was a rush job. I felt it was pretty thorough. She then helped me back Ito my flip flops and I was on my way! For $23 it was totally worth the experience! Update: my little toe got smudged already :(

Last weekend I treated myself to a much needed pedicure at Urban 1 nails in Kirkland. I had never been in before, but decided to give it a try based off the several positive reviews. I didn't make an appointment in advance, I just walked right in and they were able to get me started right away. They not only lived up to the hype, but exceeded my expectations. The nail salon was very clean, recently updated, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming to me. They had a wide variety of colors to choose from and they were all displayed in a very pretty and organized way. There was music playing but it wasn't super loud in the background, and the atmosphere was overall very calming and peaceful. The massage chairs were super comfortable, so comfortable in fact I found myself dozing off a couple times haha. The pedicure itself was a great experience, I chose the deluxe pedicure option, and I believe it was around $42 before tip. She took her time massaging my legs and feet and she really paid close attention when painting my toes. I left feeling happy and well taken care of and I will definitely be back again :)

acrylic nails

I went into to Urban 1 nails for the first time and I'm more than happy with the results. Everyone is super nice and I had a great experience there. Loan did my nails and she's amazing! She took her time with shaping my nails which I really appreciate because in the past I've had nails that were uneven and chunky but these are beautiful. I got a set of acrylics with gel and she hand painted everything. I went in and showed a picture of the nail design I wanted and what changes I had and my nails came out exactly how I want them. I loved getting my nails done by her, I will definitely be going back again. She is so sweet and is great at doing nails, I had a lovely time. So glad that I was able to find a new nail salon to go to!

I've been going to this nail salon for years now and it is still my favorite place to go get my nails done. My sisters and I dropped by to get our nails done and we love them.

Do you use a different container/bowl to dip the customers nails in the dip powder ? Or dip all of them in the same container?

We dip all in the same container... but don't worry about that because we dip in ... , customer have to go wash the hand, and after finish.

Do they use liners in the pedicure bowls?

Yes!!! We use liner in pedicure chair bowls

Hi! Does Luann work here by a chance?! She used to work at Amour. Trying to see if she is here now or not. Thanks!

Yes !!! Luann work here

Is Kim doing acrylic nails again? She's fantastic but stopped during pregnancy. Her baby must be in nursery school by now.

However, when I asked about prices, the woman at the front desk quoted me $90 just for a gel manicure (no extensions, just gel) plus the cost of a pedicure. I was honestly shocked. I even asked, "Is that for both?" and she said no, it's $90 for the manicure alone. When I mentioned that other salons charge around $100 for both, her response was, "Well, you can go to the other place." That should have been my cue to leave, but my toes were in desperate need of a pedicure, so I went ahead with just the pedi for $35. Unfortunately, as you can see from the photos, the result was terrible. The ironic part? The manicurist even used an extra light to see my feet--and still did a job that looked like it was done in the dark. Long story short: don't waste your time or money here. Go to the salon in the same building instead. I had even planned to grab food at the Banh Mi place afterward (which is amazing, by the way), but the experience here completely ruined my appetite.

The studio itself is clean, modern, and cozy, so it really feels like you can switch off for a bit while they take care of you. What really stands out, though, is the level of detail in their work. They specialize in Russian manicure and structured gel, and it shows in how precise, careful, and long-lasting the results are - your nails come out looking flawless and stay that way for weeks. Every cuticle is perfected, every edge is smooth, and they take their time to get the shape and finish exactly right. It's the perfect place to get your nails "tuned up" - whether you're maintaining a classic look or trying something more elevated, you walk out feeling polished and a little bit spoiled. I'd happily recommend Pixie Lab and specifically Veronika, who gave me home care tips and helped me treat a problem.

The appointment took around 2.5 hours, and I liked the final color and overall look of the nails. The salon itself is very clean and has a luxury/self-care vibe. As soon as I walked in, they offered me a complimentary fancy drink and a small treat, which was such a nice touch. They also have iPads available during the service, so I ended up watching Emily in Paris while getting my nails done. What impressed me the most was their cleanliness. After each customer, they thoroughly cleaned everything with Clorox wipes, including the desk, chairs, and surrounding area. As a first-time customer, they also gave me 10% off plus a cute little gift bag with cuticle oil, hand cream, and nail care instructions. The reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because I expected a little more attention to detail for a professional service at this level. A couple of nails had small imperfections. For example, one thumb wasn't fully covered near the edges and part of it looked matte, almost like the top coat didn't fully seal the edge. One other nail also had a slightly uneven surface. They're small details, but noticeable up close. Overall though, I enjoyed the experience, loved the atmosphere, and would consider coming back again to try other technicians.

However, when I returned Wednesday, I was informed after the service that I would need to pay full price because the employee I spoke to was new and hadn't documented anything about a break or fix in my profile. After some back and forth, they offered $20 off due to their internal miscommunication. At that point, I chose to pay and leave rather than continue debating their policies and communication issues. That is not something a customer should have to navigate. Clear policies, proper staff training, and communication are the responsibility of ownership and management. If I had known I would be charged again, I would not have come back at all. It's not reasonable to pay for two manicures in less than five days. I would expect my nails to last at least two weeks. Due to the inconsistent communication and unclear policies, I will not be returning to y2 nails.

You do need to book / make reservations. But I enjoy pedicures here. I've tried a lot of gel polishes here for manicures too. They don't last too long but they are pretty right after. And free parking! Plus they can do 5-7 people at once. To book 6 pedicures at a salon these days at the same time is a hard task! I appreciate the consistency! Plus, who doesn't love getting mani-pedi!

However, the chair I sat in (water was already on and I had had my feet in the tub for a couple minutes at this point) wasn't actually working properly as the tub jets weren't functioning. I was asked to move to another chair. That's no big deal. But then, my sister's chair wouldn't move backward or actually turn on the massage function. We asked if we weren't using it right, but they ended up pressing a switch at the foot of the tub that we couldn't see and her seat started working... for like 5 minutes. It turned off after that and she had to ask repeatedly for it to be turned back on. Turns out, same exact thing for my chair. Also, the plastic of my remote was broken and the seats even when working were so weak it was pointless. The massage chair is one of the best parts of a pedicure, IMO. Oh, and the cover of the jet popped off while I was using it and splashed water everywhere. Woo. But to top all of this off- our pedicures which were priced on the fee sheet as $54 came to a whopping $76! When I asked the girl that checked us out to clarify, she said it was because we got gel. An extra $22 for gel!? And not a single word of this up charge? Yeah, nah. So I left with an $85 pedicure and a back that had no pleasure of massage. Wah wah. We will not return.
