I came here about a month ago when my normal nail lady was out of town. The owner did my nails, she was soo nice. We had a pleasant conversation, she was very friendly . I got a fill and a basic shellac polish. It was amazing to be in and out of the salon within 40 mins. The salon is clean, and has very cute decor. The only downfall is the cost. A fill and shellac cost $65, without a tip. At my normal salon this same service is $45 with no sacrifice in quality. All and all my visit was a good experience. If you live in the area and are looking for a nail shop you won't be disappointed, just be prepared to spend a bit more. read more

I had bubbles and fuzz all over my nails and the lady cut my cuticules so deep it made my pinky bleed! Then she kept rubbing it with alcohol!! I left unhappy but still tipped well. The shellac started to peel right away and I went back in to get it fix to give them a second chance before leaving a review. When I went back in they recommended me to do powder instead of shellac. Which I was happy to try but after all is done they charged me 1/2 price instead of doing it free like they said they would. I do appreciate the 1/2 off but you should stick to your word or tell me about the charges BEFORE you do my nails! Not going back. It was hard for me to choose a star rating for my experience with Bon Spa Nails. Overall my pedicure was great, however the more I think about what transpired while I was paying and then some confusion when our service started has me thinking a 2 is appropriate. Starting at the beginning, my friend highly recommended this nail salon so I joined her. She and I were talking on the way over about wanting the paraffin wax service added. It seemed pretty simple...pedicure with paraffin. Her tech was baffled about the wax and had no idea how to help until another lady stepped in saying you had to do a $50 pedicure to get the wax. That's STEEP for a pedi but it had been so long I thought "Ok whatever, I'll do it too". When my friend asked for the spa menu like she usually gets (there was still some confusion) . Instead of a menu she was handed a two-sided info sheet with no prices nor anything about the paraffin wax. We figured that out and just rolled with it all from that point forward. Pedicure itself was great, nail tech took her time and I didn't feel rushed at all compared to other places. Overall though, for our pedicures we were there for 2 hours. This isn't necessarily a negative as it was lovely to not be rushed but I would definitely take this into account when walking in/booking in case time is more precious for you that day. I saw on Yelp if I checked in I could get $10 off a Deluxe Pedicure. Excellent! There were a few other discounts too including $3 off pedicures but there was no question a $50 pedicure was the Deluxe. WRONG! This is where things really went south for me. I checked in WITH A PICTURE of my ugly feet made pretty and then presented the coupon at the register. My tech had no idea what to do with it and asked someone else. "You had the $50 pedicure. $55 pedicure is the deluxe"...ummmmmm what?!? It really felt like she was making this up and then AHA! Out comes the menu my friend had requested earlier on that didn't exist supposedly. I skimmed the $55 and what it included...nothing different than what we had done, but I also noted it was not called "Deluxe". It made me think such a service doesn't exist. It left a bad taste because $10 is $10 but they wouldn't honor it...not even the measly $3 for all other pedicures that was also on that coupon. "Save it for next time" the lady said. Um that's a pretty bold statement to assume I'm coming back. The whole principle of this has me grumpy because I can't figure out why the owner would offer a discount she never intended to have her techs make good on?! I know my friend really likes this place but Customer Service in this industry is everything and Bon Spa is definitely lacking in this department. I will probably return, but only if my friend is not willing to go elsewhere. I'm also still trying to figure out how this $50 pedicure I received was any different than $25 ones elsewhere (short of adding the wax but I've done this elsewhere before and not to the tune of $50!). She soaked, cleaned cuticles, did 4 leaves of gel polish. So the nails stayed a full month for me. Worth the 16 mile drive from my hpuse for stunning nails. Im getting married in June and will definitely making an appointment with LEE for eyebrow wax and sparkling tip with nail art. By the way noone else in seattle does Sparkling Tips, trust me I've ask all say no. Too them not trendy. I don't care trendy. I care that their care, detail and beautiful service completed. Haven't had a pedicure in so long! The lady who worked with me did a great job on my feet (I have very small nails and had already trimmed them to the nub before coming). She was also very patient with my requests as I tend to be very specific about how thick I like the white portion of a french pedicure or manicure. Will definitely come again! It was my first time here with a groupon deal and it was not a good experience. One of the ladies, I'm pretty sure she was the owner of the business, started yelling at one of the other customers that was there while I was getting my nails done because the customer wasn't told that they charge for designs. I stepped in and told the owner to stop yelling and then she proceeded to yell at me and told me it was none of my business. Along with that, the lady that did my nails filed them way too short and didn't speak to me the whole time she was doing my nails. And then when I had some questions about the turn out of the color on my nails, the owner told me right away it was 15 dollars to even change the color if I decided I didn't like it while I was there. Disappointment. My girlfriend went to this place before her big birthday night. The results where unacceptable. I have never witnessed an institution raise their voice in a rude manner to a customer. Regardless of the miscommunication, as supervisor you should always take ownership of the problem and the manager made matters worse. Not only did the manager shout out prices to respond to the customers question but she also distanced herself from her present clientele by demonstrating that money was the only priority in her mind. I rate businesses by service and doing things right the first time. Bon Spa Salon failed to demonstrate both. Went in for a fill 3/7/16 and she reduced the thickness of the coating by half which allowed the nails to split in half off the nails 3/8/16! I called the salon to talk to her about a repair and she said it was my fault that I touched a cloth bag and I would have to pay. I don't ask for things to be free, but never in 4 years have I had this issue anywhere. Shes always speaking in a different language and it makes you think that its you as topic. She the manager doesn't care about service, I have sat here before told 5 minutes and 45 minutes later I get rushed through the salon. Anything more than a basic polish is too much for their skill set, and forget the nails staying on. I opened a BBB claim so that someone else can manage her attitude. I am not an entitled person, I do things for others and put them first all the time. This one time where I need some compassion and assistance I get rudeness back. Beware! read more

To top it off, when it came to check out the rude nail tech said something about a tip to the other girl.. very abruptly and rudely. I give a star because of the lady who did my nails and constantly apologizing. The freaking owner didn't even bother to apologize. We came in for two peds and two mani, myself and my two girls. My little one sitting on the Pwd chair. The owner yelled at my 6yrs old to get off the chair because she's just getting toes paint. Geez I was like what's the prob lady. Then my oldest one was done with the ped and waiting for mani. The owner forgot. I asked should she get her mani and the toes can dry. Owner said no just sit there. 20 mins went by and her toenails are dry. Again I said she needs a mani too. One staff said oh I'm sorry. Guess what the owner said - oh I forgot. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience here. I interacted with some very rude employees. I was also rushed through the process. At the end my nail had an indent so I asked for it to be fixed. The employee sighed very loudly, started speaking another language and reluctantly removed the nail polish from a nail. Before she was about to re-paint the nail, I asked her to apply the base so I could have a longer wear. She said it wasn't needed but she had applied it to my other nails! She responded "fine" in a short manner and slammed the drawer in irritation. She painted my nail quickly and said I was done even though a top coat wasn't applied. For some reason she was in huge rush even though there was no one else at the salon. Terrible experience with service. Nails were not done very well either. I don't recommend going here!!! Pros: Very cute place, and they did great on my nails!! And a pretty good price. So why only two stars? Well, I hardly get acrylics because they are super bad for your nails but I tend to destroy my cuticles so the acrylics help me not pick at them. Try to break a bad habit :( Any who, at first both of the technicions that were working on our nails started out nice. As the technician who was working on my nails was shaping them, she put the acrylic over them. They were not the shape I wanted, so I asked her very politely if there was way to shape them to the desired shape I wanted. She snapped back at me say "I am not done yet..." she said something very rude as well, but I can't remember because i was so taken back. I apologzied and said "I am sorry, I never get acrylics so I don't know how this works" The whole time after that she was rude, and rough. And cut me 3 times :( I jumped back every time. I was worried about trying this salon after reading reviews on here but I am happy to report that I had a wonderful experience. I walked in and all the ladies were sitting around a table on their phone but immediately got up to help me. I asked for a manicure and got the whole shebang, lotion with arm massage, shoulder massage and a great polish job. My cuticles are gross and dry from working outside and the lady did a really nice job in cleaning up my cuticles. They did not talk as much to each other as stated here, the gal tried to make conversation with me but it was kind of awkward, she was very polite though. The one thing is they turned on music which happened to be explicit and while it didn't bother me, I'm sure many customers would not appreciate songs with the F word in it. Her accent was difficult to understand so I asked her to write down the total. She then said $35.00 for pedicure/fill. I really didn't need a pedicure, but for that price, that was a great deal. I got my invoice at the end...$60.00! I asked for price list. The manager said because I had deluxe pedicure, it was $35.00...she never quoted me the price of my fill, which was what I wanted in the first place. The price list had $18.00 for fill. I had one repair...got a french nail color. I did not want gel. She charged me $25.00 for fill. Next time I will write down what I want and ask them to price it for me. The first and only time I went there the gal cut the corner of my big toenail and ripped it all the way to the cuticle and the pain was horrible. After a couple of days of pain that wasn't going away, I went to the Dr and he gave me antibiotics. After 2 weeks it didn't get any better and I had to have a surgical procedure done and more antibiotics. Still didn't heal and was referred to a podiatrist to have surgery because by then it was a staph infection and a horrible ingrown toenail. All of this was painful, time consuming and expensive. I even missed work. 4 months it took to be healed. Yikes.... NEVER would I return. Nobody should ever cut the corners of the toenails like that. I hope no one else gets staph because of it. read more

As much as I really enjoy the front desk person I am now switching nail salons. This place tends to get in over their heads by saying they can take people and then having them wait a long time. Last time I was told "5 minutes" it turned into 25 minutes. I would also say the quality of getting nails done depends on who you go to. I get my nails filled every two weeks and if they are not done by Mary (the only one I really trust there) then they break - when they break then the next time I go in I not only get charged the fill price but then 3 dollars (I believe) per nail to redo them. After several fillings in a row breaking and me continuously paying for them to get fixed I switched salons and love it! The only time my nails didn't break were when Mary did them, the others just make them to thin - I don't work in a line of work that beats up my nails so the filling should hold up just fine. Their management could really benefit from training in how to deal with customers who are not satisfied that doesn't result in them charging you more money. read more

This place was great when they started and gone downhill from there. I came in after 3- months only to find their prices have gone up and service is down:-(. $46 for a basic mani-pedicure. Very average quality, super annoying 30 minutes when you have the ladies doing the mani pedicure chatting and giggling non-stop in a foreign language. The wierd thing is that they break into conversation only when they start working on your feet or hands and no chit chat when they are sitting waiting for the next customer.
