I've debated writing this review since I got my nails done yesterday, but I've come to the decision that the work that was done to my nails and my daughter's nails is completely unacceptable. First things first, I went to lavish lounge nails due to my regular Nail Tech not having any openings on the only day I had free this week. Their prices were good and the pictures they had on yelp looked pretty good as well. What I experienced was in short, a total lack of quality and a rushed job and did not at all resemble the quality of the nails on their website or yelp. My nails are completely uneven and were not even remotely shaped how I asked. My middle finger on my left hand has a nail that is completely sideways and bulging off of my regular nail. I took my daughter with me for her birthday and her cuticles were cut up so bad that she now has cuts all over them. While my nails were being done I mentioned multiple times that my nail on my middle finger was uneven and crooked, and even though the Nail Tech filed it, she did not correct the problem. I also reiterated before the polish went on that I had asked for a coffin shape, not square. Definitely a bad experience and won't be going back. Even though the prices are good you definitely get what you pay for here. Would not recommend to anyone to go to this place. read more

This used to be my go to place until today. First, like everyone else, I'm sick of wearing masks. But it's a mandate and I can follow the rules. Or go to Placer county. 8 out of 10 customers weren't wearing masks. It's clearly not enforced. Second, my appointment for a wax was at 2:15. I waited until THREE o'clock. You know if I was 45 min late they would not have waited for me. Third, I usually have my eyes closed for the wax. But today they were open. The same wax is used for my brows as it was my nether region. What's worse,? SAME STICK DIPPING CONTINUALLY from my girl parts into the wax. Disgusting. Unsanitary. I've been to this location twice now. The first time I went was over a year ago to get a pedicure with a girlfriend. The people there are very nice and friendly, but the quality of their service seems to be lacking. I recall I didn't go back there for a very long time Because I thought maybe I got like a fungal infection. I tried it again a few weeks ago and after having nothing on my nails for a very long time, a week and a half after my pedicure, my toe nails became very brittle now and breaking very easily after getting a gel pedicure. Perhaps the cleanliness is lacking as well as the toe paint color was all over my toes as well not just on the nail itself. I definitely won't be back, it's very unfortunate because I know businesses like this don't pay their nail artists very well however given the circumstances, I think You should consider trying somewhere else. read more

A new gal (to me & I believe to the salon as well) took care of me today and was very sweet however not 1 but 4 of my cuticles got cut today and I was told it was because I had a lot of cuticles. I hadn't gotten my nails done in a bit however this has never happened to me previously at this salon. The other gripe I have is their website says it's $10 extra for gel polish, it's actually $15. When I had asked for the price to be honored it was not accommodated. I love this salon however this experience hasn't left the best taste in my mouth. The most frustrating thing is paying for a mani/pedi and hating the results. Are there any meticulous people left in this profession? I pointed out early on that my thumb nails weren't the same length and asked her to fix it please. She was annoyed by me pointing it out. I knew right then that this wasn't going to end well and made no other comments. Despite what I said, I still went home with nails that aren't the same length/shape. Besides that, some of them had air bubbles and were lumpy. Most had crooked strokes near the cuticles. At least the foot scrub was nice. The search for a great nail tech continues! Sad. read more

I think it's time for an updated review! I've been going here religiously for the past 2 years and I don't see myself going anywhere else anytime soon. I'm a huge fan of how they are handling the COVID precautions. Everything is sparkling clean and they are constantly sanitizing everything, which makes my mind more at ease when I'm getting my nails done. I absolutely love Vincent's work. He is so detail-oriented and makes sure that each nail is done perfectly and precisely. I really appreciate how much work he puts into doing nails. Getting in touch with him for an appointment is such an easy breezy process. I use my hands a lot when I work and I end up breaking a lot of my nails due to that, but with Vincent's work, I actually haven't broken any of my nails. They RARELY ever lift and sometimes I can last up to 3 weeks of no breakage or lifting. I also wash my hands a lot because of everything that has been going on in the world, and usually my nails will start lifting or breaking because of the constant hand-washing, but not with Vincent's work!!! All in all, I am so glad to have found a place where I can get my nails done and I am going to continue going here for as long as I can afford to get my nails done. LOL. :-) read more

I've been coming here for over a year now and I'm amazed at how consistent Vincent and his team takes care of business. I'm extremely critical of how my nails are done and I never left unhappy. If you feel like the shape isn't to your liking don't hesitate to speak up! They always strive to make my experience extremely well and are always eager to please other customers from what I've witnessed. They are extremely well with appointments, I've never waited over 10 minutes unless I was at fault for not saying the right thing over the phone. Vincent is extremely flexible like today my appointment was for 1pm and he went out of his way to text me to notify me that I can come in earlier. I've never felt that my time was not taken into account. They are honest and very hard working people that don't get enough credit for their work. They are very clean and have a thermometer and multiple sanitization stations. The restroom is well kept. read more

Used to love this place. However, my last experience changed my opinion. I asked them if they could do the nail art like the picture that I showed them from my phone, and they said yes. Janet did the full set, she did a great job. Then a male staff did the nail art. Then, he switched with another male staff. They both conversed in Vietnamese, and it seemed like they had problems with the design that I showed them. Not only that, there was a lady that kept standing next to me without saying anything. She talked to the two guys in Vietnamese, a couple time. I swear it was highly uncomfortable. After they were done with the nail art, one of the guys PATTED me on the back and laughed ... not really sure what he meant but it was making me VERY UNCOMFORTABLE ... I appreciated the final result, but the process was stressing me out. They should make their customers felt comfortable and actually communicated with them ... my last visit was on May 18th and I haven't returned... and I don't think I will. Sadly this salon was a disappointment. I really don't like to write bad reviews but...... I brought my daughter for her first mani/pedi and I called ahead to see if there were any kid chairs and they said they didn't but with pillows they would make sure it was comfortable. Wren we get there despite her sitting on the very edge of the seat no pillows were offered until I asked and a very dirty white pillow with arms was brought out. After we picked which colors and they started the glitter colors that were chosen had no color base so it looked much different than the card. Most of the time at salon the tech will recommend putting down a base color but nothing was suggested. The final straw was a week later the color started to peel and after removing the polish it looks like my nails are separating from the nail bed on half of my nails (both hands) read more

Update: we came back here on a Sunday afternoon and the experience was night and day!! The salon wasn't busy at all, so I am pretty positive that is the reason. My bestie and I were treated like royalty and the staff was super nice and were having a great time. There was a Niner game on and one of the nice guys working that afternoon tried to get the game on the TV for us, but it wasn't working. It's the thought that counts!! I wanted to get my nails done before heading to an important event the following day, so I started Yelping areas around my work. I found Lavish Lounge and decided to give them a quick message, asking if they had any availabilities that same day--which was a Friday. Vinh, the manager, was quick to respond and insisted that he could fit me in at noon. I was overjoyed because this salon was only 5 minutes from my work. I got there right at 12, but didn't realize that they had two doors--one is to the hair salon and the other is to the nail salon. I was told that I can just walk from the hair salon to the nail salon, which was only separated by curtains. I was seated and the nail tech was able to get me in and out in an hour, which was perfect because my lunch is only from 12-1. I was very satisfied with my nails and how the nail tech took her time to place the gems. Unfortunately, two of my gems fell out yesterday. However, I quickly messaged Vinh and he said he could fix it. He scheduled me for 12 again and fixed it within minutes. I was so grateful for the outstanding customer service that I received. Furthermore, the salon is cleaner than average and they have plenty of colors and designs to choose from.
