Move your service to a pharmacy where the pharmacists stay within the guidelines of their license and not try to diagnose and override the physician... recommend finding another pharmacy. In all the years I've worked in the medical profession, the pharmacist I dealt at Walgreens overstepped. He made an error on the prescription provided by my physician. He did not apply a refill to my record and then stated that HE would "decide or another pharmacist would decide whether they thought my medical issue still existed for that refill of antibiotic". I mentioned to him that a Pharmacist cannot diagnose. He then rebutted by stating that "they can call the physician then to see if he wanted it filled". Huh? Well.. here's a clue.. the physician wrote it for a refill purposefully, with intent. I think this pharmacist was attempting to distract from the error he made on my prescription. I then called his manager who was also a pharmacist. I asked her how she felt about the pharmacist she was managing telling me "he would decide if I still needed the refill of antibiotic". She, stated that a pharmacist can decide if they feel comfortable refilling a prescription. Hmmm .. it's antibiotic lol. Anyhow, I will be reporting this to the California State Board of Pharmacy. Pharmacists cannot diagnose and that is exactly what he stated he was going to do in order to provide a refill for antibiotic. It appears Walgreens pharmacists are a way too entitled by trying to diagnose and play phisician. Generally if a pharmacist works at Walgreens they are new to the field or can't get a job elsewhere. I had a not very pleasant experience at the Photo department at Walgreens. The lady was very rude not pleasant at all. I took pictures that were not good, and she did not bother to suggest that I retake them, now I have to go somewhere else and take them again. The cost is so expensive for 2 passport pictures, it is not worthed to go to that place. read more

Have been getting a particular strength of a medication for several months from this pharmacy. Called my prescription in and specified which strength. Pharmacist Anthony who says he is the manager of the Pharmacy dept. said he would fill it. My husband went to pick it up, came home and found it was the PREVIOUS LOWER STRENGTH. Called immediately, and was told there was nothing they could do, could not refund or credit the incorrect medication toward the correct current one on record. Clearly their fault and they admitted as such, but just said they were "sorry". Said they understood my frustration, but oh well, I will have to pay double for the medication error on their part. They did not check to see they were ordering the most current and correct medication, but I am the one who is paying for their error. Really disappointed and concerned about the lack of careful consideration that the customer receives the right medication, and their failure of any real resolution to the customer's legitimate concern and wasted money. The prescription will now cost me $66.00 this month, paying double for Walgreen's Granite Bay Pharmacy error. Here is what I expect from a Pharmacy and in particular, the manager and Licensed Professionals---Be sure you are filling the current and correct dosages for customers--it could be a matter of life and death, depending on the error. read more

The Granite Bay Walgreens Pharmacy on Douglas is giving out incorrect information about the latest Covid-19 vaccine. They say you are not eligible if you are a senior that has kept current with the previously approved vaccines, even though known of them address the current variants. I immediately went across the street to CVS. They were up to date and much more knowledgeable. They indicated everyone is eligible as long as your last vaccine was more than 2 months ago. Not only was the Walgreens pharmacist wrong, but she was rude and clearly is not customer service oriented. I will not be back there. They were bumbling through trying find information about who was eligible. BTW, I had scheduled an appointment online and filled out all the required info, which told me I was eligible and gave me an appointment. read more

No more excuses for the pharmacy. It's poorly run and often out of my prescription. I'm sure it's not considered life or death in their world, but it's a prescription nonetheless. Having to negotiate the minefield of the Walgreen's app, automated phone system, and website which often give conflicting or incomplete information demonstrates their desire for you to give up, fall in line or just wait until they contact you. I should NOT feel pressured to do a monthly courtesy reminder a couple days before my prescription expires. Why should I HAVE to give them a "heads-up" to make sure its in stock or that they need to place an order ASAP. What about all that awesome technology? Can't it be applied to inventory? Don't get me started on how annoyed the pharmacy techs are when I DO call them early.....of course, this month I was burned again....shame on me for checking the day prior to my prescription ending. The cashier was extremely pushy for me to donate a dollar to children in poverty when I told him I already donated last year and I already have one of those red nose squishy things from last year and he kept urging me to donate. No means no! Then I told him if I have a dollar in rewards I would like to use my rewards and he told me I do not have a dollar in rewards and then he did not give me my receipt at the end. I came here with my wife just to simply take a passport photo. It was 4pm and they close at 10pm. There was 1 other person in line who paid and then left. We were turned away because they were "too busy". We've had passport photos taken at a different Walgreens before and it was something that only took 2 minutes to take the photo and another 5 minutes to get the print, so it makes it hard to believe that this (at the time empty) store, was too busy. The employee made it sound like a passport photo was a difficult task that may require multiple employees to accomplish. Unfortunately we didn't remember to get the employees name. read more

Fantastic photo center. So happy i came here! I had some book markers made. 1st time around the were not cut properly. So i reordered and it was a same day deal so happy to have had Anna help me. She quickly cut the book markers and they came out perfect! She made me feel comfortable coming here again. Anna's customer service is exactly what you'd want from a store. I get a $1.00 coupon in every pack and the lady who waited on me said in a snotty voice we don't take coupons. Could well be the worst pharmacy in the greater Sacramento area. Chronically understaffed, with staff that seem to be there only to get experience on the way to something better. Maybe the whole Theranos debacle set the entire company so far behind their competitors that they are trying to recover but what a train wreck they are right now. 6 pm on the dot and its like rats exiting a sinking ship, six seconds past 6 and even if you flopped a kidney out on the counter, they are gone. Embarrassment to western medicine. This is a review for the drive-through pharmacy: I was there today a little after noon, to fill a prescription. The pharmacist took my paperwork, then proceeded to tell me that I had filled this prescription, at her location, on May 3rd. I told her that I had not, because I had done it at Costco, in April. She reiterated, "You filled it here on May 3rd!" Again, I repeated myself, adding that there was no way I was there on May 3rd, and that I couldn't remember the last time I had filled a prescription at this Walgreens. She then said, "We can review the camera tapes then!" Just as I was saying, "Go ahead, I'd love to see what you find..." she realized that she had read the date wrong. Sure, I had filled a prescription on May 3rd, just not this year. In 2017. She then faded into the background and another tech took over and finished my transaction. Before resorting to scare tactics and threatening to pull security camera tapes, maybe you should get your thick glasses checked...you may need a new prescription for your eyesight. I should've called the Police. They were selling EXPIRED medications. Bought cough medication yesterday. Took one dose then read that it expired in 04/2022. Now is 10/2022. There are much better and more efficient places to get a vaccine shot. Appointment times here are irrelevant. For both doses, we made appointments and arrived on time and still waited at least 30 minutes. The pharmacist or nurse that administered the shot had little to no bedside manner for a young kid that was very nervous about the needle read more

The pharmacy has repeatedly gotten my daughter's prescriptions wrong, they are regularly late with refills, and even my doctor's office said they have problems with this pharmacy. Photo Dept Review: Hoped online and created double sides heavy cardstock full color graduation announcements. Also added various prints and some party invitations. I also selected envelopes with a preprinted return address. I was shocked to receive an email 20 minutes later that everything was ready. Then when I got there the staff was very friendly and even asked if I needed stamps to mail my order, which I hadn't even thought about yet. Yeah, the people here are silly friendly. I got some photos developed and they were super fast. She asked when I wanted to pick them up, I said no rush but they were done by noon the next day. I don't really have issues with a quick service type store like a drugstore etc., except when the customer service is lacking, there are long lines, shelves are dirty. This store has none of that. I will now come here for all my photo developing needs. Ample parking and it's never-ever busy when I drop in to get something frivolous like nail polish or hairspray. read more

We have experienced one day service to just a few hours and they are always open, customer friendly and professional. Listen Up....if you want to be fast in and out, especially if you have sick children. This Walgreens can get backed up because it is the only one in the area. The best way not to be disappointed is set the stage of expectation. They "very much" 5-star for compassion, want to please and often give too short of an time estimate for filling the perscription (3-star for over promising, and under delivering). Be fair to these guys, if you have a really sick family member they will try and bump you, but don't make the rest of us suffer if it is not urgent. Best Practices when using this Walgreen's. Call in prescription ahead, then call before you go...sometimes they can get behinds, verify it is complete, then you should be in and out quickly (use drive through). read more

I am a fan of Walgreens but I will not be shopping at this location anymore. Upon my last shopping trip, while waiting in line, a dark haired older female associate walks up to help the other cashier check people out. Clearly irritated, she says to the next customer "I can help whoever wants to be helped." She helps them and then a mother and her child are next, now she says "I can helps someone if they want to check out today".. That customer pays and leaves. Now I walk up to the gentleman cashier next to her as he is ready for me. As I walk up she turns to him and says "maybe next time if people want help they will actually come up to the register." So I proceeded to tell her, along with the gentleman customer behind me, that she shouldn't talk to customers that way. She proceeded to yell at me and him until a manager came over and continued to yell as the manager and I walked away. I normally wouldn't have said anything to her but this was uncalled for and I have personally had 2 other occasions where she has attacked people in front of me. On another occasion a older gentleman comes in and asks if they are selling any covid tests, again I see this while I'm in line. The woman proceeds to tell him there is a sign right there, and points, there's a sign right there and points, and says and there's a sign outside. The gentleman then proceeds to say "I guess you don't have", any and her response is "yep and can you tell I'm tired of answering about it!" the assistant manager told me he would have a manager call me and I never heard back from anyone, I'll never go back here again. read more

This Walgreens's has the worst pharmacy. Every time I go there for a pickup, it takes forever. Slow staff and/or hardly any staff. I finally give up and am moving my regular prescriptions to Raley's down the street. They are awesome and put this place to shame.
