I had several phone call and exchanged multiple text messages with the patient Coordinator Samantha including detailed photos and description of my areas of concern that needed revision from poor prior plastic surgery. FYI this practice did review the photos, showed them ahead to the surgeon and agreed there was room for improvement by the surgeon and went ahead and scheduled me For an in person visit where they charged the $100 consultation fee. I specifically sent photos ahead showing the area of concern to accurately highlight the primary area of concern so I could save my $100 if there was nothing the surgeon felt he could do in my case ahead. Very tired of these fancy plastic surgery offices knowing my full history and asking for extensive photos ahead and taking my money for "consultations" only to be told they cannot do anything for me and then referring me elsewhere after taking my money. Posting this so any future patients reading this think carefully before scheduling initial consultations especially for considering revision of prior plastic surgery work. Dr Green the surgeon I saw was perfectly professional and I appreciate his honesty. I just wish when he had reviewed the initial photos I sent in which clearly showed my prior results that he had declined my case then and not taken my $100 fee if he knew he couldn't do anything. There was no physical exam nor anything added by the in person aspect of the visit that he couldn't have addressed from the photos. She never looked me in the eye, smiled -- it was almost as if I was bothering her. I wondered if it was because I wasn't the typically coiffed suburban, yoga pants kind of patient who shows up at a Granite Bay office? And, I thought about that before I went, but I showed-up anyway -- not particularly looking like a bag lady, but definitely I am not trim, young, and perfectly groomed. This is a long review... I had surgery in June of 2020 which consisted of liposuction in several areas and a breast augmentation. This office was highly reviewed and everyone was extremely personable and professional. During my consultation, I expressed my desire of wanting larger breasts and how much I have wanted to have this procedure for years. The surgeon assured me that he could obtain the results I wanted and suggested an areola reduction too. While we were discussing sizes and I was being fitted with different implants. I was extremely adamant about wanting to be as close to 450cc as possible to achieve the look I wanted. The surgeon and his assistant understood and all there was left to do was have surgery. 'Are you sure they will fit because my breast seems so small?' 'Yes, they will. It's part of the healing process which is the skin stretching'. Unfortunately, when I woke up from surgery and the OR nurses were checking on me, they congratulated me and told me my breast size. 375cc. I immediately started to cry. At several follows up, I mentioned that this was never discussed and told the surgeon himself and staff this was never mentioned as a possibility. I was met with blank stares and a 'CYA' attitude. I've been working in healthcare for quite some time around the country and have handled my fair share of compliance and regulatory issues. This was never discussed. If it had been mentioned as a possibility, I would have delayed the surgery to seriously consider if I wanted to go through it, knowing I still wouldn't feel or look the way I wanted. When I continued to bring it up at follow up appointments, I was eventually told it was because I had the areola reduction and there wasn't as much skin to close the incision sites which in return meant a smaller implant. Again, if that had been MENTIONED during the consultation, I would have rejected the surgeons suggested because I size was much more important to me. Honestly, I didn't need an areola reduction. They are also the same size as before surgery. I am currently 7 months post-op. All I can say is, that mentally and emotionally this has ruined the way I feel about myself. The physical pain was nothing. Looking at myself, putting a bra on, wearing a shirt and knowing that this happened. Has had a grave toll on me emotionally and mentally. For reference, I went into my consultation barely filling in a 32B push-up bra. After 10k and another 1k in bras (because bras aren't made equally) I barely fit in a 32C push up bra. Yes. I still have to wear a push up bra. Writing this I am crying. Please, please, please read the reviews here and everywhere else there are reviews. Most importantly, ask and ask many questions and be sure that you are ok with all the answers. I left the surgeons name out that did my surgery intentional because, I do not believe he did anything purposely. I think he made a mistake and couldn't or wouldn't just say that. Pffff,i don't even know where to start.First of all, i`m upset cause I`ve been coming to this place for about 3-4 years.In that period of time they changed nurses a few times.I wonder why they leave? First I had Rachel,god I loved her, then I had Julia,another amazing person who recently left. Both have impeccable bedside manners, an honest approach during consultations, and are extremely knowledgable in their field of work. I would feel comfortable going with either surgeon for any cosmetic work. Ultimately, what led me to Doctor Coscia was my own client. I am a permanent makeup/brow microblading master technician and own Makeupbeforeyouwakeup . I am very picky and methodical with my work and aesthetics. During a visit, my client and I discussed some of the difficulties I had personally faced with a prior surgeon and the scarring that ensued. She kindly showed me the work Doctor Coscia had done on her. Her scars healed remarkably well. Working in the industry of skin, I'm well aware of the fact that skin on the 5-6 Fitzpatrick scale can keloid, or have troublesome scarring during major surgery. I was pleasantly surprised to see the beautiful healed incision work on level 5 skin. I trusted this client implicitly and scheduled with Doctor Coscia the next day. When I arrived, the staff was as friendly as my prior visits with Dr. Green. The facility is organized and very clean. When I finally met Dr. Coscia, he had a warm and kind demeanor. I was looking for a direct approach to corrective work and honesty and I absolutely got that. In my realm of work, I'm a straight shooter and if I can meet the client's needs, I will proceed but out of integrity, I never over promise, nor did Doctor Coscia. I would prefer to over deliver and Dr. Coscia did that. I had been through 3 previous surgeries with a recent surgeon (let me clarify, I'm not a plastic surgery addict and my expectations were reasonable. Quite frankly, I just wanted to alleviate the pain I had felt running in my shoulder from oversized breasts and get them back in order) and my results were mixed and frustrating. I was absolutely terrified of going through it another time but the scarring from the other procedures compelled me to offer up my trust once more. My results from Dr. Coscia's work are better than I could have imagined. I feel relieved that upon one procedure, he was able to not only get the job done but exceed my expectations.
