I went in to have my wings removed from under my arms the flabby fat that hangs down Dr. Sumida decided to cut around the upper parts of my arms he said that he was giving me cuts. I did not ask for that, but that's what he did and he cut my nerves in my left arm I have had surgeries to repair my fingers on my left hand but it has not worked I lost all feeling in my thumb and four finger on my left hand there was no need for cuts. He said he wanted to make it look like I lift weights and he was bragging about it to his assistance. He thought he did a great job, but now I am handicapped I had a couple of other surgeries where he also decided to add things that I did not ask for I wanted to enlarge my lips and he filled my face with fat on his own he said that I look like I needed fat in my face It was so bad. My eyes were almost closed from all the fat he put in my face. It has gone down now, but it looks terrible. He does what he wants even if you do not ask for it It's like he is experimenting on people while they are under anesthesia and can't say no after other Surgery. That he has performed on me he has called me and checked on me two or three times after surgery but this time when he knew he had done something wrong he has never called me since, he has not offered any kind of apology. I tried to sue him, but you only have one year where you can sue malpractice I had a lawyer that would take my case, but I had to get my medical records from Dr. Sumida's office and he made sure to send them to me the very last day of the year Then it was too late to do anything statues of limitation had ran out everyone beware if you go in for one thing he'll add whatever he wants while you are under anesthesia and you wont know what he is doing to you that is very dangerous and if he hurts you because he's adding on whatever he wants, you will never hear from him again I have also asked for the name of his insurance company that covers him and this past December 2, 2024 he sent me an email that they were going to send the name of the insurance company today is February 13, 2025 and I have not heard from them since just be careful read more

Kenneth Sumida is a joke. His license needs to be pulled immediately! He lied to get my money and then refused to fix his botch job of a surgery! After leaving his care with a huge difference in each breast size, very lopsided, I went to Dr. David Kaufman for the surgery to fix Sumida's botch. Sumida is foul mouthed, condescending, arrogant, and doesn't care about you. He threw the F bomb around like he was sitting drinking a beer talking to his buddies. He tried telling me it was my body that was making my breast lopsided. He tried telling me everybody has one breast larger than the other. Isn't that what money and plastic surgery is for? I was even before I saw him and was extremely lopsided after and he refused to fix it telling me he couldn't do anything about it. Amazing that Dr. Kaufman was able to make them even but unfortunately, having to have the surgery, six months after Sumida messed me up, made me lose feeling in my nipples. I risked them dying by the second surgery but unfortunately it was necessary to fix Sumida's work that he told me he was very proud of. With his condescending attitude of telling me he can effing cut my breast off and then they would be even or telling me you can effing sue me, but you won't get anything. Is this someone you really want working on you? Save yourself the headache and go straight to David Kaufman in Folsom. I promise you he will do right by you, he does a fantastic job, he is the nicest man and the nicest people work for him. I left in tears because he fixed me beautifully. Why would you want to go to a Doctor Who can look at your breast after he does surgery with one hanging inches lower than the other, and telling you what a great job he did? Within the last 10 years I have had a couple of procedures with Dr.S. I have enough experience working with him to say thrilled with the results and his bedside manner. I have gotten a consultation from him for a specific procedure which he wouldn't do because he knew that I wouldn't be a good candidate due to age, (tricep lipo). Recently had a Rhytidectomy and love my fresh rested look. An acquaintance of mine had a facelift done several months ago by a Famous Beverly Hills surgeon , who you would know, IMO Dr S is just as skilled. My mother recently got some work done so I'm doing a review for her and as well as my experience since I had to nurse her during her recovery period. Even so, my mother first had her consultation in April. She had a few consultations with Dr. Sumida and she was thinking of getting her breasts augmented + stomach/tummy tuck to rid of her stomach skin from losing weight as well as using skin and fat for her face. The doctor actually convinced my mother not to get her face done, which really surprised me and showed me that Dr. Sumida is really there to bring out the best in his clients and that he's not in it just for the money. She ended up getting a tummy tuck, breast augmentation and a bit of liposuction I believe is what she said. He fully informed us of all the different techniques and procedures and what would be best suited for what would work best for her case and what she was aiming for. Not just Sumida but the entire staff is very friendly and detail-oriented from picking fresh grown flower bouquet from flowers for my mother from in the office (which we got as a gift with a card after the surgery) to remembering our names/and minute details from small conversations we had the staff always made sure not only my mother but my family were aware of all the details we needed to know from medication times to drain instructions and pre/post procedures do's and don'ts. They also were very flexible and gave us their office phone number to call if we needed anything. They kept us informed during the surgery as we waited for her and took the time to make sure I was comfortable with all of the post-procedures before shipping us out. Safe to say, the work done was very neat. The scars are very minimal and were sewn tightly so less than 3 months after, my mom is loving it and has her dream body. In comparison to another lady in my mother's social group for another doctor who took 6 months to heal and was still in worse shape, my mom's scar is very minimal and healed surprisingly quickly. Like wonder woman or something. She was up and working again in about 2 weeks! Regardless of what reasons you do plastic surgery, if you choose to do so, Sumida and his staff are a dependable and great choice, you can really get that their mission is to bring out the best in you. Prior to choosing Dr. Sumida I had 3 consultations a year prior and never got the " vibe" I got the moment I met Dr. Sumida. I am so glad I waited to find the perfect doctor. He advised me because I already had breast tissue silicone wouldn't make a difference, and saline is less expensive and minimal scaring. I choose a saline implant 720cc ( i was terrifed of the number, trust me ) however, I believe he lives by " if the number doesn't scare you, go higher. I am SO happy I chose Dr. Sumida! I have gone to many consultations with different Doctors for a breast augmentation and actually made my surgery date the day I met Dr. Sumida. Originally I wanted 300-350 ccs and Sumida told me "if the size doesn't scare you, it's not big enough" and he was 100% right. I ended going with 510 ccs which was the recommended size by Dr. Sumida.
