Everyone here was very welcome, I got my nails done by Yolanda and Andy, the owners, it was so nice to see how knowledgeable they were. I went to this place and almost left crying, not just because my nails looked ugly and uneven with ridges all over them, but also because they filed them down so much that now they're extremely sensitive. On top of that, they cut my cuticles so harshly that my hands are all cut up. I like the peaceful sounds of the relaxing water and waterfalls featured on the television. Although I like the mail cookie samples on the chips they present to you, but I prefer to go to the wall and choose my color. I get a better sense of what the color will be, but that's me. They prefer Venmo or cash do plan accordingly. Call if you want to use a charge card, not sure of their policy. Parking is ample, and location is easy to find, right next to Handel's ice cream shop. They have new owners since they shut down due to covid, which I was originally sad about because I lost my nail girl, but kept going after Covid and I'm so glad I did!! They've remodeled a bit; It's super clean, not over done and tacky and has a nice clutter free set up and a relaxing environment. I found Mai after they opened after Covid and I'm so glad I kept going despite losing who I had before. Mai is so amazing, always up for a new nail design challenge and just as picky as I am in making sure your nails are exactly the way you like and want! She's not pushy nor does she rush through or take shortcuts to get to the next person. Pricing is always extremely fair, even when I ask for extra things, they don't take advantage and tack on another $20 for bling or cute designs! They also have color selection galore! I won't let anyone touch my nails except for Mai. I've gone other places for pedicures but absolutely will not let anyone else do my nails! I've done that before and have regretted it! I give this place two stars because the staff are hardworking and kind. Why my review is low--the polish didn't last longer than two days. I paid $80 + a handsome tip for a gel mani/pedi. I did French tips for the mani (used my real nails) and one color for the pedi. I don't know what polish they're using because the French tips literally came off WITHIN 1 DAY!! See photos. I thought maybe it was because I wash my hands several times a day, but then the ENTIRE gel nail polish came off (in one piece!) one of my toes WITHIN 3 DAYS and I shower once a day. Now I have one unpainted toenail. Looks hilarious, plus waste of money. I was so disappointed. I got these done for my sister's wedding. I used to go to Devon's Nails a lot before the pandemic and I'm starting to get back into getting my nails done. I just found out that this place has new owners and has gone through some remodeling. I love what they've done with the place and they make sure that everything is clean and orderly! They've been new owners for about 6 months already and I give them so much props for trying to get through the struggle of businesses during this pandemic. I went in today with my coworker and her mask fell on the ground right before we got in and the woman who helped us was so nice to give her one of her masks that she had hand-made herself. I totally had forgot to ask for her name but I will be sure to the next time I go so that I can update this review. :) My coworker is super sensitive to pedicures and the whole process went as smooth as can be. First experience was good. Got dip powder, loved the colors, they lasted, and though they didn't include the basic cuticle clipping, cuticle oil, and/or lotion... it was a decent experience. Not how I felt about this trip at all. I made appointments for myself, my mom, and my two little sisters. It was my sisters first time ever getting acrylics and I am so sorry that this was her first experience. They clearly hadn't planned for us, as we almost all received our manicures separately, not at all at the same time. Then when my sister requested the most simple flame design on ONE nail, they insisted that they could not do that, because it was too complex. I told them I'd like a neutral to light blue ombré. Guess what? "Oh no. You have to pick a dark color, because the color you picked before will show through. Otherwise, we'd have to take all the acrylic off." Well... yeah, that's why I made an appointment for a full set, not a fill? He insisted that I either choose a dark color or gel. Opted for a gel. Now that he had finished my sisters nails, leaving her with lots of overhanging acrylic, it was my turn. I picked a light purple and light gold glitter for my ring fingers and thumbs. He said he was going to put a gold underneath the glitter so that my previous nail color wouldn't show through, but he may as well have left it, because the color he put under was a burnt metallic orange and didn't match the glitter I picked at all. Not the look I wanted what so ever. During my service he had also said all my nails on one hand were longer and wanted to know where I went last time. I'd let him know I was testing out nail salons and went somewhere else last time, but that I really enjoyed my first time at Devon's, which he responded to aggressively, "Then why didn't you come back here?" By the time he was done, I had been there for two hours already and just wanted to leave, so I didn't bother having him fix it. Now that I made it home, I realize that the orange shows through the purple and the sides of my nails aren't even painted. Wish they'd just done what I requested, rather than make excuses for why they couldn't. Definitely don't think I'll be going back here after that. read more
