I have been here several times in the past 3 years for brazilians, and have always had a good experience. I prefer sugaring because of the clean/minimal ingredients and the fact that it's less painful than waxing. Most recently, I came in a couple times during my third trimester of pregnancy. Veronica was easy to talk to and super quick! I would normally have a lot of anxiety about this type of situation, but they always make it easy and comfortable. I highly recommend! read more

Sugaring is absolutely amazing! Way better than waxing. Shannon is the best. Her facility is top notch and every detail is looked after. I have been going for ten years and have loved that my hair growth is now slowing...I don't even need to sugar my uni-brow anymore. Fantastic for all! read more

I love how Shannon, Veronica and everyone else works hard to make sure you are comfortable. The process is sooo much better than standard waxing. I have recommended this salon to all of my friends!! read more

Great experience with Veronica as my esthetician. Why didn't I know about sugaring a long time ago. Cute place. Has boutique too. The sugaring process is so much better than wax. Omg! No burns. The removal is pretty painless. And looks great. Glad I found this place. Couple reserved parking spots since it shares the lot with the Out of Bounds. read more

Such a great experience. My first time sugaring , I've always been a waxer. The staff was soooo incredibly nice and helpful. I drove all the way from Elk Grove to this location and I plan on coming back regularly. The experience and post results have been far more wonderful than waxing. read more

Had such a great experience. One of the best sugaring places I've been to !! Cassidy Orbea did great on my wax. She was easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. read more

I am a huge fan of Sugar Mama's Skin Studios! This is by far the best place to go for your hair removal, skin, and eyelash needs! I first started going to Shannon for a Brazilian when I was 6 months pregnant. I read about sugaring and decided to try it. Everything I read was true! It wasn't painful like waxing, my skin was not irritated, hair growth became thinner, and it was quick. Let's not forget about Shannon's amazing personality. She made me feel so comfortable while I was pregnant and afterwards too! You don't feel like another number walking through the door, you feel like you are just catching up with a friend. She loves her craft and it shows! I have also had the pleasure of getting services done by Kia, the brow guru. I got my brows shaped, eyelashes permed, and some lash extensions for added volume. Kia took the time to help me with my brow and lash goals and ways to care for them In between treatments. I had let my brows grow out after they were over waxed a couple of times. Kia has skills when it comes to the tweezer and she threaded my brows too. I never put value on my eye brows and now I will. It makes the world of a difference! My eyelashes are naturally straight and shorter. She educated me on lash growers and how the perm will enhance my eyes. It was painless and I got a better curl than I could ever do with an eyelash curler, plus the added benefit of no eyelash damage. She then added a few eyelash extension which gave me added volume so I won't have to wear mascara. They also carry YoungBlood mineral make up. I bought a gel liner for my mom and she loves it! I highly recommend Kia for you brow and lash needs. The boutique is very cute. In addition to the wonderful and affordable services, there are a few goodies to look at. Sugar Mama's offers Young Living essential oils and guides for their uses. They have a lotions line that smells amazing, jewelry, candles, and other items. The selection changes often. Sugar Mama's knows what they are doing! read more

I was going there a couple years back for Brazilians then stopped getting them. I recently started having reactions to regular waxing on my face so I figured I should go back to Sugaring. Their place is so cute inside with lots of fun stuff to browse while you wait and an a super accommodating staff that goes above and beyond. I was lost and couldn't find the new spot and not once during my multiple calls did the receptionist get impatient, she even walked outside while I was on my Bluetooth talking to her to make sure I didn't miss their driveway. Super sweet ladies there! Tiffany is my Sugar Mama always has been there and she is a sweetheart and did an amazing job as always! Also I'm happy to report the Sugaring had no negative side effects on my skin once again! So much better that wax! read more

You only need to know one name: Chloe. Last week was my first time at this place, and though I was nervous, Chloe did an outstanding job on my eyebrows. She changed the raucous hair brows from distant cousins to twin sisters. Thanks Chloe! read more

Kelly Jo is fantastic. Aside from being personable and making sure I'm always comfortable, she's incredibly thorough. Sugaring is far better than waxing; less painful and the regrowth is so much finer. Cannot recommend Kelly enough. read more

It was an amazing experience first time there and I felt comfortable . I recommend anyone . It's better than threading and waxing .

I have been visiting SugarMama's for 5-6 years now and I cannot imagine going anywhere else! I have frequented both Shannon & Tiffany, but they have been continuously expanding the business and have a lot of services to offer. I tell all of my girlfriends about this place and highly recommend it for any of your hair removal needs, as someone who has tried both regular waxing and sugar.... Sugaring is my way to go!! From my experience, it is a lot less painful and both Shannon & Tiffany make your experience feel very comfortable, safe, and effortless. Check out their website - https://www.sugarmamastudios.com/ - Setup a user account to keep track of your past sessions, check availability/services, manage, and book appointments online. I've been coming here for 5 months now and I absolutely love it! Cassidy is just wonderful. She always makes me feel comfortable and talks to me the whole time I'm getting sugared to distract me. I honestly feel like we are friends at this point. They also offer vagacials now which let me tell you, it is GLORIOUS after sugaring. I highly recommend this place. It's clean, cute and everyone is so friendly. Look no further! PSA: they will be offering facials soon read more

I usually go to SugarMama's for Veronica to get my brows sugared, but today I went in to see their manicurist Lisa. The service was amazing and my nails look so good! I got the dipped nails with a small acrylic tip. Lisa did a fantastic job helping me out with a color and really pointed me in the right direction, as I had a vision for what I wanted but wasn't sure what service would be right for me. I am so happy with the results :) read more

This is my favorite group of ladies. Shannon, Tiffany and Kia are absolutely amazing. I've been going to Shannon and Tiffany years. From the sugaring to the facials, I have never left without a smile on my face. Today I came in with the need to get my eyebrows in check. Kia was so so sweet and shaped my eyebrows to perfection. I told her I wanted to grow them out (because thick brows are in now) and she shaped them so they look clean but also left a few hairs here and there so the growth can start! Best best best brow care that I have ever received. Thanks Kia. read more

I just had my eyelashes permed by Kia and she is amazing! Two weeks later and they still look amazing, I was shocked at how well it worked and how much more open my eyes look. She also does eyebrow shaping, and she helped me with filling them in on my own. Thank you Kia!! I can't wait to come back, it makes me feel so much better about myself when my lashes and brows are clean and curly! read more

I went for my first sugaring appointment today with Meagen, after years of waxing I was pleasantly surprised at how much more comfortable sugaring was. The staff at Sugar Mama's was warm and welcoming as soon as I walked into their adorable shop. Meagen made my Brazilian bikini session more comfortable than I have ever experienced with her warm, welcoming and friendly personality. I can definitely say I will never visit another wax studio again, I am now a sugar baby!! read more

I want to start off this review by saying that i was regular and loyal customer since 2017 but I will not be coming back. I used to go to shannon, the owner, for sugaring of my upper lip. She was phenomenal. She is very skilled, personable, and made me feel like one of the family. I live in roseville, so it is at least a 30 min drive, but it was worth it. I didn't come in for several months due to having a baby. When I came back in, the environment was very different. They had become increasingly busy and one of the employees was promoted to manager. Shannon had also cut back on her hours so I was not able to come in when she worked. I continued to go to the studio ans the service was still good but not as impeccable as with Shannon. I was supposed to have an appointment today. The reminder told me that they would be unable to accomodate me if i was 5-10 min late, which honestly sounds unreasonable. Today I walked in exactly 5 minutes passed my appointment time and they refused to see me for a service that takes 5-10 minutes. Their reason was that it was due to being respectful of other clients' time. In my opinion that is ridiculous. So if I didn't bother straightening out my car in the parking spot and came 4 minutes late I would have been seen? Also who isn't late by five minutes somewhere. Five minutes extra can be caused by a long street light, a super slow car in front of you, or mild unexpected traffic. Instead of accomodating me the receptionist offered to reschedule me and when I said no respectfully apologized and then began ignoring me completely as if I was not standing there. On top of that they charged me for my service. So basically, I wasted an hour of my time to be turned away, ignored, and charged for a service I didn't receive all because I was five minutes late. It is nice that this business has some much demand but it seems like they don't care about retaining customers. The human factor and understanding is gone from this place, which is the reason i kept coming back. It really is a shame because quality services are so hard to find. read more

Shannon is absolutely the best. If you haven't tried sugaring, it's worlds better than waxing. It's less painful, lasts longer and doesn't leave your skin red and bumpy. The Studio is really sweet too....she always has killer jewelry, pieces you won't see anywhere else. read more

My first experience with Shannon was an incredible one. She made me feel extremely comfortable, she offered the best advice just when I needed it most and I felt like I had known her for years. Shannon has a warm and welcoming spirit that is so necessary in a moment as 'intimate' as waxing. If she can make a Brazilian wax quick, comfortable and practically pain free while I'm 36 weeks pregnant, the rest of you ladies are in GREAT hands. I will neverrr go anywhere else as long as SugarMamas Studios is standing! Go see for yourself!! This place is everything and then some. read more
