I have been going to this store due to transportation for over a year. They are constantly out of stock. They should have meds needed or find another store that has them. They send me messages meds are ready and I am in a wheelchair trying to organize my one stop meds but I go to pick up and it's not ready or out of stock or come back in a hour or two. read more

This location has to be one of the most well-stocked I've been to in the past few months. I came to get some supplies for home and shop for a Squishmallow stuffed animal. I actually felt overwhelmed with the options I had & how well kept the displays were! Every turn I made it felt like there were festive plush or the newest Disney items and it would have been easy to mark off my family & I's Christmas lists! This review is specific to this location and two specific employees (I don't know their names). Earlier today (10/21/24) my daughter went in to buy a brush. After she picked up her brush and shampoo she decided to look at the make up. As she is looking at the make up, she notices 2 employees staring at her, an older white lady and an older black man. The white lady starts yelling at her 'YOU! YOU! Who are you?' Totally confused, my daughter says 'Um, I'm shopping '. The employee continues 'Yeah but WHO ARE YOU?' She says 'I'm a customer' The 2 employees then start talking between themselves, and my daughter overhears them say something to the effect of 'She's weird'. So then my kid goes to pay, and the older black man is the cashier. He says to her in a snide manner 'Are you ok?'. 'Yes'. He then snickers at her and says 'Well not many people shop here as long as you do' First of all, none of your business how long she's shopping, second, 20 minutes is not that long at all. Anyway she grabs her things, comes home, and relates this story to me. So I return to the store with my daughter. Upon walking in, the older black man greets us and says 'How can I help you?' I said 'Are you the manager?' Him: 'No' Me: 'Can you call them please?' Him: 'Why?' Me: 'Did you harass this young lady while she was here shopping about 10 minutes ago' Instant mood change, dude goes into a rage and yells at her (in front of customers) 'NO ONE HARASSED YOU!' I had to step in at the point and say 'Do not talk to her like that' He then yells at me 'You can't tell me what to do'. Again, I ask him to call the manager. Before he can do that, he decides to say (again, in front of customers) 'Maybe she's racist and she hates black people' Umm, ok, just call the manager. We related this entire scenario to the manager, who said sometimes they have competitor shoppers in their store. Regardless, no one in your store should be treated this way. I do not want this employee fired, but I would like him to be better trained on people skills and maybe some anger management. We will not be going to this Walgreens anymore, which sucks as this is our neighborhood store, but I will not support a business that allows customers to be treated so poorly. read more

Absolute worst pharmacy pick up I have ever experienced. I called ahead of time and we told my RX was ready. They close 1:30pm-2pm for lunch. I got there at 1pm and the customer in front of me had some issues and it took about 15 min of me standing behind him to be helped. I understand that couldn't be helped on Walgreen's end, but at the same time the pharmacy tech's customer service was too poor to know how to move the situation along. It's 1:45 pm, I am now being helped and the pharmacist says it will be 10min. Okay that's fine, I take a seat. 1:55pm they shut the shutters on the pharmacy to go take a lunch. Wow! I was pissed. Waited the 30 min and at 2:15 everything opened back up and NO my script was not ready. Took 15 min til they called my name . Never again. read more

I wanted to get my children tested for COVID because my child came into contact with another child who tested positive for COVID. In the website it stated that they assist with minor testing for COVID and it won't be an issue. I set up the appointment, input all the insurance information, took time off of work to be told that they do NOT do any COVID testings under the age of 18. The pharmacist who told me this stated "yeah, I know that it states on our website that we do minor testing and we have got a lot of complaints because of the misinformation but sorry, we can't test your children." I asked "So what are you all going to do about the misinformation? Are you going to change the info on your website?" The pharmacist said "NO!" I asked if they had additional resources when it comes to minors getting tested, again the answer was no. This is a pandemic and if pharmacies don't have the resources to direct consumers in the proper direction to get the help they need, whats the point of falsely stating they provide a service yet they don't. read more

I received my first and second Covid vaccine at the Walgreens on Elk Grove Florin rd and Calvine. Carlos was the pharmacist that gave them to me. He was absolutely wonderful! Took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. Made me feel very comfortable. He also followed up with me after both vaccines to see how I was feeling. I just read the reviews from Walgreens and they reflect the poor customer service I have received. I was using a drug for a couple of months, but no longer needed it. I called and asked that the prescription not be renewed. A request was made to refill another drug that had an expired prescription. Rather than send that request to the doctor, in January they sent in the drug I had quite taking in June. My wife picked up my meds and they included the drug I no longer use along with a $50 copay. When I complained they refused to refund my copay. I called the local HQ and when I asked for the head of pharmacy was hung up on. I called back numerous times, but got a voicemail; I then looked up the corporate office in Illinois, (I'm in CA). I called the corporate office and ended up speaking to a very nice woman in Alabama. She took a report and we'll see where this goes. Hopefully it will be unlike another reviewer who had a similar experience and never got a call back. read more

Had an appointment for COVID testing at 215. Showed up per instructions at pharmacy drive thru. When I pulled up there was a sign that read 'be back from lunch at 230' so I went inside and the young clerk told me well I guess you're waiting until 230. I said umm no I am not! Where is a manager? Apparently a pharmacy tech was in line and she said she'd be back from lunch at 219. I said ok. I get back to drive thru. At 221 I ring the bell. It rings for over 30 seconds . No one says sorry or anything. Then the technician comes and I have to ask for instructions on how to give my child the test. It was a horrible experience. read more

If you're planning on coming to this Walgreens Pharmacy, you might as well carve out 1hr to do so because the wait times are loooonng even if you're just picking up meds. And don't even bother goin to the drive-thru because that's the same. They got way too much going on with fulfilling prescriptions, COVID testing, and Vaccinations paired with the minimal amount of employees working. Also, even though you get an automated call from the pharmacy saying that your prescription is ready for pick up, do yourself the favor and call them to confirm before going in because there's there's a good chance that they haven't filled it and will ask you to wait for it when you go in. read more

Do not select the curbside pickup option - it does not exist!!! I've tried the option twice and each time have waited 10-15 minutes and eventually had to go in and get my order. They do not have anyone managing the curbside pick-up. And no one answers the phone for inquiries. Pretty disappointing. All else aside at least my order was fulfilled correctly. read more

Today at approx 5:15pm, I was in line to pay at the cashier. A lady who is reportedly homeless (per James, the Cashier) was attempting to pay. Her payment was delayed which was causing a line. She was asking if she could input the numbers. James told her that she could not and there was a line. A man in front of me told James that he would pay for the ladies items. James then said "you will not, you don't want to do that, trust me" and slid the items back to the customer. James then rushed the lady and attempted to grab her cashier bag but fortunately the payment went through. Once the lady had paid and left the store, James told the customer in front of me that the lady was a regular and was homeless. The customer stated he was just trying to be nice. James then said "that's not the world anymore, if she wants it she should pay for it." James treated this PAYING customer disgustingly. Not only did he tell other customers how to spend their money, he advised them to also be unkind to this lady. James is a disservice to this store and a miserable employee. read more

They are saying the CDC has made some changes and everyone is being charged. I can not find anything to this fact. This review is solely based on my interaction with the photo counter after placing an online order for some poster pictures I was gifting. The gal was nice and was able to locate my order pretty quickly. The picture quality wasn't too good though. It was only an 11x14 size and looked grainy in my opinion. Still gave it 4 stars since they had it when they said they would, and my sister-in-law was happy with the pictures either way. read more

Having been forced by our insurance company to switch from a fabulous CVS on Laguna Blvd to Walgreens, we first tried a nearby 24/7 one, and it was so badly organised that out of desperation we decided to try switching to this Walgreens at 9200 Elk Grove Florin Road. I've never waited so long for medicine before. I went inside to pick up medicine, and they told me it would be prepared for 15 minutes. I waited around for 20 minutes until another employee asked me why I was waiting around for. Turns out my medicine was already ready, but they had not bothered telling me over the intercom at all. Before when I picked up medicine, they would tell you when your medicine was ready over the intercom but now when I go, they didn't. I tried to avoid that hassle and went through the drive thru instead. I've been waiting for 30 minutes now and I still haven't received my medicine. Not sure why it takes 10 minutes+ to deal with each patient. I thought drive thrus were supposed to be a very convenient way to pick up medicine and leave. I really want to switch pharmacies now. read more

This pharmacy is a joke. We've tried to be patient- understanding that the pandemic has negatively affected businesses but enough is enough. In the past year, they've been out of medicine on a regular basis, actually put the wrong drug into the bottle for my daughter's prescription and have now "lost" my daughter's controlled medication (which she is out of) and are refusing to replace it despite the fact that they know we didn't pick it up. I've complained and the manager has been nice but the incompetence of this pharmacy has me wondering if they should be licensed to dispense medicine. If you're lucky enough to actually get your prescription filled, check it thoroughly before taking it and make sure the.pills match the description on the bottle. If there's a specific sale going on, this Walgreens only limit 1 item per household. I find it ridiculous because the other Walgreens that's only 2 miles away have a limit of 4. I guess each store create their own policies? Idk. And when they run out, the only time they have stock is Thursday/Fridays and they only restock so much. Within the next day; they'll just run out.
