This store's staff and management are EXTREMELY degrading and unprofessional...that is, if you even get service after waiting at checkout for over 10 minutes with no staff in sight!!!! The pharmacy here is the worst. It's pretty obvious the CVS leadership cares nothing about their customers judging by how long they make them wait to pickup prescriptions. They are never staffed properly here. There's never more than one person ever helping prescription pickups. If there's 3 or more waiting in line in front of you, then be prepared to wait 30+ minutes to get your medicine. I miss the Rite Aid that used to be across the street. I was in your store on Friday, July 4. I was looking for an OTC product and was having no luck, so I went to the pharmacy seeking help. I first spoke with a clerk who referred me to the pharmacist. This person has ESL problems. She speaks very broken, hard to understand english. I told her what I was looking for and she had never heard of the product and asked what it was for. When I told her, neuropathy, she replied, "I don't know that word". The clerk had to tell her what it is. How can she be working and not know what a medical condition is? I won't be going back to this store. Fortunately, I don't have to deal with them for my prescriptions. read more

Very very slow service especially between 5 to 6pm. They know people will come by after work to get their Rx but nope they don't staff enough people and the ones who are there Don't hustle to get the line down. An idea would be hire 3 extra people there was a line 10 people deep and they don't hustle to get the line down at all. I guess that's the norm nowadays. When I used to work at a ice cream shop when I was 15 my Dad and boss instilled in me about doing a good and Fast job to serve the customer and not let them wait. The difference is the faster I served the ice cream the more money the store made. At CVS, they know we unfortunately need the meds so they couldn't give a flying Frigg how long the line is as long as they get paid and not miss lunch. It's the sad way of thinking. Had an interaction this morning 6.29.2021 with an associate who assisted me at the photo kiosk. She was so friendly. Beyond that she was very helpful, incredibly kind and remarkably up beat. This is my local cvs and I rarely go into the store but today was the day. With the help of the kind associate I was able to print the photos I needed and get this done quickly. The associates have been hit and miss but this one was above and beyond a shining star. I should note as well that my mother spent some shelter in place covid time up this way and the transfers of her medications was very easy to manage. The on hand staff I dealt with were helpful and took the time to complete everything needed. I'm certainly less hesitant to use this store on the future. It was going to be three stars but for me after reliving while typing it's a 4 from me. Thanks again for the exemplary customer service this morning. read more

AVOID this pharmacy. Traveled 20 minutes to get there. I arrived 10 minutes ahead of my appt for a simple flu shot. Pharmacist ignored my appt and was helping others. After 30 minutes, told the clerk to just cancel my appt, then the pharmacist offered to give my my flu shot. I just cancelled an left. WORST pharmacy in the area. read more

I am not surprised that out of 10 reviews 4 reviewers gave 1 star. Well here's a 5th one star review to warn others. That just goes to show 5 one star reviews out of ten reviews is not a good score and is technically an F letter grade. I have lived here in Elk Grove for sometime now and just barely started using this CVS for my prescriptions for the past 6 months. I prefer to go to the other CVS down the street even though they are not a whole lot better but the store manager (I believe his name was Ali but I could be wrong) is the true reason I refuse to go to this particular store. I went to pick up my prescription after having surgery done to my mouth 2 days prior. When I arrived at the pharmacy counter it was closed with no sign posted letting me know why they would close and when they would get back. I waited in my car for 20 minutes and went back inside but the pharmacy was still closed. I decided to ask for a manager to find out what was going on. The manager explained that the pharmacy was closed for lunch. I work in pharmacy and know that a sign should be posted letting customers know when the pharmacy staff should be expected back and also it's just common courtesy to let your paying customers know what is going on. After I stated there was no signage displayed the Manager (Ali) insisted there was. He walked over to the pharmacy with an arrogant attitude as if he was about to prove me wrong and guess what? There was no signage displayed. He then began to try to use the excuse "well the pharmacy staff needs to go on lunch it's state law." I said "I completely understand that it is state law and we are all entitled to our lunch before the 6th hour, however proper signage needs to be displayed so that your customers know what time the staff will return and there also needs to be a sign displayed showing when the staff goes on lunch everyday so that your customers can plan accordingly". The manager did not seem to understand and continued to make excuses but finally apologized and stated he would ensure that proper signage would be displayed. I returned 2 weeks later and same issue happens. After seeing that the manger did not take the initiative to display any sign what so ever I decided I will no longer be using CVS for my prescriptions. I don't think management realizes that the pharmacy is the real money maker in a drug store such as CVS and is what keeps them in business, not their inattentive staff or overpriced makeup and household products. This manager clearly does not care about his job especially during these times when a job is so very important. Also every pharmacy has a pharmacy manager and a lead pharmacy technician who should have taken the initiative to display a sign. I mean the pharmacists spent at least 6+ years going to pharmacy school but did not think that maybe a sign should be posted for it's customers. What was all that money spent on for school if the pharmacists here almost never show their faces at the front counter and hides in the back all day then they cannot do something as simple as displaying a sign. It's simply ridiculous. If the store manager or corporate office is reading this I am asking you to please re-evaluate your management strategy and realize people like me who have a choice which pharmacy they can go to are opting out to use CVS pharmacy because their horrible customer service and attentiveness to the needs of their patients does not come as number one priority. I have also made my family and friends aware of the horrible service this particular CVS provides to ensure they do not experience the same disregard towards its customers. I wish the best of luck to CVS staff and management and hope you decide at some point to improve your current customer service strategies. Our go to drug store and pharmacy in the neighborhood. Friendly staff and always greeted with a hello upon entering. Not a place where I make a lot of purchases due to higher prices but when items are on sale including the beer. I am all over it. The manager, Kelly in pharmacy along with Jonathan always take good care of us. You may get caught off guard and denied during pharmacists lunch hour trying to pick up certain. controlled prescriptions. Thats somewhere between 1pm and 2:30 I think. Store is always clean, shelves stocked. It has come in handy for last min propane tank exchanges too. read more

This particular location is close to my home and I used to really like coming here until recently. I came in around 8pm on a Saturday night and was shopping and since they send me coupons I decided heck why not make use of them on things I can stock up on. There were items priced all down the aisle on sale $3.99 and when I went to check out it rung up as full priced. I let the cashier know and she told me the signs I saw were next weeks sale. I told her that they are posted all over the items in the aisle. I was not trying to be that customer that states the law but she kept pushing the topic saying that each store has set times when they can set their sale for next week and that they are NOT AT ALL allowed to honor them until tomorrow when it is in effect. I informed her I did not want the items at all and that it is the law to adjust the price to what it reflected on the shelves because how am I supposed to know that sale doesn't start yet. I even asked her to check and she was adamant about not adjusting the price. Highly disappointed and would rather driver further to give my money to a store that follows not only good business practices but also THE LAW! read more
