On 9/25/25, I called to see if they had my prescription, I was told by Nathan that they didn't have it and I should call them back the next day. I called the next day and the phone rang unanswered. Finally, Nathan told me that they hadn't received their shipment yet, but I should check back after 11:00am. I called after 11:00am and he told me that they didn't get it. When I asked to speak to the pharmacist, she wouldn't take my call. Instead, she kept giving instructions to Nathan (who appeared to be very intimidated by her). I was told that this medication is difficult to get but he would try to find it at another Bel Air pharmacy. I finally just told him I would call back on Monday. I called back on Monday, 9/29/25 and was told to call back after 11:00 am. When I called back, again no one would answer the phone. I tried for 20 minutes to talk to someone. I finally got the pharmacist on the phone (that was a miracle). She VERY SLOWLY and indifferently said "Could you please hold". I said "No, I've been trying to get ahold of you for 20 minutes." Then she said, "How can I help you?" I told her I've been trying to get my medication refilled but nobody answers the phone. She told me, "We are two people down and we've got three customers in line." Then, I remembered that this was the exact thing she had told me last month when I couldn't get someone to answer the phone! (If two people called in sick AGAIN, then she is the reason they didn't want to come to work.) She told me that the medication is still not in, and I would have to call back. Not doing this again. I wound up calling the highest rated pharmacy on Yelp and spoke with Martha who answered the phone after the first ring. What a breath of fresh air! She was so pleasant and nice. She took all my information and ordered the medication. My medication will be in their pharmacy by tomorrow without fail. I had forgotten what good service was. As a result, all my prescriptions will be transferred from Bel Air to them and I will buy my groceries elsewhere. I only took 35 of the 90 pills prescribed because the last time I took new pain meds from a different manufacturer I got very sick. So they owe me 55 pills which now they will not give me because they claim the prescription is not longer valid. Again, the patient gets screwed. Here were my choices, 1) take the new manufacturer and get sick and then have to find the original manufacturer and have to pay out of pocket because the prescription has been fillled, 2) only take what they had and get screwed because I only get 35 out of 90 pills and have to get a whole new prescription because Bel Air won't honor what they owe me! Mike never suggested for me to go to another store or even said he would call around to see which other Bel Air had it. If they dont have what Ive been using then they should give it when they have it and none of this Bullshit new prescription. Again, its not my fault they they changed manufacturer!! Either way, the Patient gets royally fucked over. I also have to say, I was talking to Emily and she kept saying she didn't change manufacturer, the purchasing Dept did. Are you kidding me? I sure didn't change it and Emily represent Bel Air. Duh!! All this just because Bel Air changed manufacturer. In addition, while I was talking to Mike, this young blond girl buts in when nobody was talking to her so she should keep her trap shut if nobody is talking to her, idiot bitch. Needless to say, I will no longer be coming to this particular Bel Air Pharmacy. The best people here were Able and Stacy, I hope they move on to something better which won't be hard. I think you know where most of the rest can go... Now I have no pain meds and going through withdrawal all because this SHITTY Pharmacy changed manufacturer and I only received 35 pills out of 90!! When it's ready you get a text and you go in. So easy and reliable. Remember that this one is closed from 1PM to 2PM for their lunch. I sometimes forget and have to wait. This is probably they have to have a pharmacist on hand for telling you how to take your meds. The assistants can't legally do that.

Since that first referral I have been regularly getting medicine for one of my pets there, and have even requested another pet's prescriptions be sent over to them. The staff and pharmacists are exactly who you want on your side when you are dealing with the complexities of medicating pets. And what is cool about this pharmacy is that they don't just cater to pets, but they compound for humans AND animals. After my experiences with them, I would definitely request prescriptions for myself, or my family, to be sent to them, too! They have gone above and beyond, to help me get the right type, and quantity, of medication for my pets. And because of that professionalism and care, I will continue to go to them for my guys' compounding needs. For some context: for years, I had tried to use pills for my guys. I'd give them whole pills, placed them in edible pockets, crushed them up, mixed them in with wet food and broths -- it didn't matter. It was ALWAYS a hassle. And while yes compounded medication will cost a little more than buying tablets directly from the vets. Remember: you are paying for a professionally made solution, designed to taste appetizing for your pet (if given orally) or to be easily administered externally (transdermal). The price is nothing compared to avoiding the likelihood of unintentionally traumatizing your pet, and yourself, when you try to do it on your own. Make it easier on them and on you, it is worth paying a little bit now to save everyone on the chaos in the long-term. And if you have a pet that has a chronic condition, you're going to want to make medicine-time as smooth as possible, because it's going to be a regular part of having them in your life. In the end, there is nowhere else I would rather go. If I were to move out of this area, I would still have my guys' medication sent to Professional Village Compounding Pharmacy, they are worth the drive. They are worth your business. If you need something for your pets or your loved ones, or yourself, this is where you want to go.
