I noticed one door blocked off and a large sign that warned "MOST of the isles are closed off for cleaning." MOST not ALL. Grabbing a small hand basket I could see the sunscreen right in front of me. About to grab it the woman employee said firmly that ALL of the isles are closed. Okay. They why are the doors open for customers. Then the male employee made a snarky comment that "Too bad I didn't make a huge sign for people to see. Yes it was very ignorant of me to think that if they were open for business that I would be allowed to buy something. Both employees were very rude. Without saying a single word I then sat the basket back down and left. That is when the two employees behind the counter began laughing loudly and calling me stupid. Here's the thing, I rarely shop at Walgreens since it's so rachet. I mean the parking spot permanently reserved for the police is a dead giveaway that the store is shitty. Now my rarely shopping at Walgreens is now a never shops at Walgreens. There are many other stores to choose from. As far a sunscreen goes a co-worker said they would share theirs with me. So not only having a dirty nasty rachet store the employees are the last thing to finally run me off for good.

Actually the go above and beyond ensuring insurance was processed correctly or following up on coverage or refills. The store over the years has changed and has too much square footage for the what is being sold these days; but they still do have a wide selections of items for everyday purposes: snacks, personal/health care, toys, etc. for convenience shoppers. Customer service for the store is average but if you understand retail this store is under-staffed for its size. So it's really hard to say customer service is lacking when you see more staff in the pharmacy than the floor of the store at any time of the day!

Adj: The OG Walmart of EG…read more Well this is the original Walmart in Elk Grove so the OG, lol. I've been coming to this Walmart since my youth and my parents used to take me here for essentials or we'd also come here just to browse sometimes, lol, what a place to window shop. My dad took me here to get his fishing license too iirc. I recall that you can get your fishing license at Rite Aid too, but alas that store bit the dust, RIP. Anyways I digressed. So this Walmart location is very old, but for the most part they've kept it up. There's been one big remodel with other updates over time. I don't come here as often anymore, since the Delta Shores Super Walmart is closer, but there are some things sold here much cheaper than elsewhere, and seriously Walmart has everything so if one location doesn't have this thing, another one would. Nowadays you can just look online for the inventory to find out which store has the item and then go there or order it online and pick up. So convenient. A friend clued me into some stuff on clearance so I came looking for them, but alas they were all gone, but instead I found other items in clearance, score! The store was plenty neat enough and pretty well organized throughout when I visited. Overall, it's a good store still. I just did self checkout and it was quick and smooth. I would not come here (esp by myself) at night as there's been incidents here and in the parking lot esp, but other than that this store is fine and I'm glad there are enough Walmarts around for convenient shopping.

I usually frequent another store for my toiletries and household needs but I think I'm going to shop here more often with employees like Jordan.
