Pharmacy: 4.5 Store: 3.0 Customer Service: 2.8 Now I really only come to this store because our Rx's are sent here, but in the 20+ years coming here, I've never had any issues with their staff or pharmacists. Actually the go above and beyond ensuring insurance was processed correctly or following up on coverage or refills. The store over the years has changed and has too much square footage for the what is being sold these days; but they still do have a wide selections of items for everyday purposes: snacks, personal/health care, toys, etc. for convenience shoppers. Customer service for the store is average but if you understand retail this store is under-staffed for its size. So it's really hard to say customer service is lacking when you see more staff in the pharmacy than the floor of the store at any time of the day! read more

Terrible service, needed to go in and get some things before an event and the coupon was rejected on self checkout w mine and another customer the cashier at 12:07 6/21/26 pm saw we needed help and ignored us and continues helping new customers in line, even after we asked. Sorry cvs I do t have time to wait on your lazy cashiers. read more

Dropped by to look for sunglasses. The store seemed be short on many items on many selves. Especially on the vitamin and over the counter medicines. The sunglasses were picked through as well. Maybe short staffed? I did not go through the whole store because I had a purpose for being there. Did not find the style of sunglasses I was looking for. First time that's happened at a CVS. I usually purchase less expensive ones, being rough on them or loose them, and like saving on the cost, which why I shop here. read more

The pharmacy has the best staff in the area. We travel across the city while passing at least 15 other pharmacies to come to this one. It was recommended by our pediatrician. Staff is friendly and smart. I was standing in line and the younger girl working the register was working both registers making the line fly by. Somehow she was still personable and helpful when it was my turn. I didn't feel rushed while she absolutely handled the line. I wish I could remember her name. She should teach people how to run a store. The pharmacist was great at explaining everything to us he even called the doctor's office about my meds with me standing there so I didn't have to wait or come back. He said stay here let's get them on the phone and get this done, as it was 4 on a Friday and I needed meds for my daughter's ear infection. The store however is absolutely disgusting. The floor is gross, shelf's are bare and staff is nonexistent. Also everything in makeup and nails is locked up. I know this is not a store issue but coupled with never seeing any staff it's very inconvenient. However when you do find a staff member they are friendly and helpful you don't feel like you are messing up their day by wanting nail polish. 5 stars for the pharmacy 5 stars for all staff -2 stars for the manager/ owner for not continuing regular cleaning and maintenance. read more

Thanks to employee Sophia I will try to avoid this store as much as I can, she made my experience extremely unpleasant and difficult. Not very professional person maybe not her line of work, she clearly doesn't like to deal with customers. In addition the photo computers for printing were not working nobody knew why or how to fix them they didn't even try, they all just said "i don't know". Avoid at all cost! We had traveled 400 miles to Elk Grove to visit family. My nail broke so we stopped into CVS to quickly grab nail glue and a file. Who knew this would turn into a lesson in How-Not-To-Treat-Customers! First we need walked over to get said fingernail file and glue and it was under LOCK AND KEY! I looked up and down the aisles for assistance and there were no employees anywhere. So I go to the front where a cashier was helping 5 other customers and asked her about getting the nail files released from prison. She calls over the intercom and up walked a rude, bothered and not helpful young man , although his RBF (Resting B Face) was spot on! Apparently he was working and/or resting in the back and we disturbed him. After a back and forth, he reluctantly opened the lock and released the formerly imprisoned nail file. (This happened on 8/8 in the late afternoon just in case there is more than one rude employee there.) Now comes the frustration. We walk $30 worth of goods up to the cashier. Because the shelves were in total disarray, I asked the cashier the prices of a few items before purchasing: she said I could check them MYSELF at the "coupon checker" because her manager didn't allow her to check prices. I sent my husband over to check PRICES of the total order (6 more people had joined the line by now). He couldn't remember which item was which because HE IS NOT A CASHIER FOR CVS and I could see people were getting annoyed. Why couldn't she just check? I got so frustrated I left every item on the conveyer belt, drove to Sally's Beauty, (where there are people who know how to treat customers) and purchased my items. PATHETIC! They can't even get your doctors right. They actually request refills from docs you're not even with, and they don't correct it, because they don't get how to correct it. They don't update anything, their technology is outdated, their pharmacists are outdated and their pharmacy techs are clueless. Such a frustrating place to depend on. read more

My doctor refilled my prescription Monday. My husband goes in tonight (Wed) to try and get them. The tech gives him a hard time.. so he calls me & then she states it will be ready around 8pm. (6pm at the time) I call now 8:22pm it states my prescription will be ready by 11pm. How when they close at 10pm? I had a spinal fusion & need my pain meds.. now I'm stuck without any. Can't drive to get them tomorrow & will need to wait until my husband is off work again. Horrible! I've never been on long term pain meds to be treated like it's a normal thing for us to want a refill. My husband is tatted from neck to hands so I'm sure they were thrilled to fill my script. read more

Im in so much pain yet im sitting here waiting an hour to get my pain medicine which should take a few minutes to fill. They said he has to take a 15 minutes break. Pharmacist is heartless. I'm currently in Elk Grove for my sister who passed at 38 years old on New Year's Day. I am a CVS pharmacy patient where I live in the Bay Area. Unfortunately my rx is out of stock locally (I was going back home to grab more clothes tomorrow) and so I called this pharmacy explained the situation and the tech was understanding. She went and asked the pharmacist. Mind you I am on Suboxone due to my OWN decision for better pain control. But I was prescribed a 7 day rx for 0.5MG of lorazepam for my panic attacks since I am the one who found my sister dead and did for (I'm a nurse). The pharmacist DECIDED they are REFUSING to let me pick up even if I had my dr send a prescription directly to them since I know you can't transfer scheduled substances for the 1st time at CVS. I confirmed AGAIN that my dr is willing to call and talk to the pharmacist and provide her DEA #, explain that BOTH my physicians agreed since you know they're medically trained to. And the tech just said the pharmacist said "no". To med this is ridiculous, if I had a history of abusing meds (which is a biased assumption on the pharmacist end) then I get it. But I literally have been going to CVS for years. My doctor is willing to call and they won't accept and said "try locally" to which I responded I will be IN ELK GROVE FOR THE NEXT MONTH. This pharmacist is biased, and honestly lacks compassion. A doctor is the one who decides to prescribe. They understand all risks/black box warnings etc. Not only that Elk Grove is predominantly white so as a Mexican minority and then looking at my last name I feel this is being racially profiled. But it's okay. Pharmacists like this think they're drs and judge. But when one of their family members need meds or it's a person of their race then I'm sure they'll make a decision to help them. Pharmacists are not doctors but love the idea they can refuse. Here's the thing. They can be reported to the state board which I plan on doing. read more

This store has the most machines out of service, least helpful staff consistently. The pharmacy is good, and that's the only reason I come here. They may as well close the store. I feel bad for the staff that works here as they are so understaffed, they shouldn't offer any services. Use the self check-out. read more

Hoang Nguyet is awful. She withholds vaccines and treatments of her own volition after patients have been sent here for them. The other CVS locations did not understand her decision and gave us the vaccines same-day with no change in insurance information. The past two months we have had a problem with the female pharmacist not ordering or she states she doesn't have the medication in stock. I have terminal cancer and need my medication when my doctor orders it. My doctor sends a renewal every month for the same medication, it's so difficult to understand why the medication is not available. The other pharmacist are great. I call when the medication is due and I pick it up with no problems. But the female pharmacist doesn't seem to care. read more

CVS is a drugstore similar to their competitor Walgreens across the street. Everyone has their personal preference. They have a pharmacy for your prescriptions. They also have over the counter drugs, health and beauty products, household cleaners and supplies, to snacks and candy. This location also have the RedBox movie rental machines. ( A big PLUS for me ) They also have the rewards card. You'll need this for the "on sale" store ad items!! Overall, nice store with friendly staff. Clean and pretty well stocked. The entire experience with getting the vax here is terrible. I stood at the vax check in station for 10 minutes with the pharmacy staff walking around ignoring me. Finally I had to go to another window to get someone's attention. Then I was sent to the vax area. While waiting for my turn, the app just cancelled my appointment. I was told to go back to the pharmacy to get the appointment put in and waited for my turn again. The vax lady had a terse bedside manner. She was short with me so I kept quiet and didn't say anything. As I left the office, she had the audacity to say "you're welcome". No lady, you don't deserve a thank you. I had my vax administered at Walgreens twice and it was a much better experience. Don't go here! read more

This is the closest CVS drugstore to my house, so I come here the most. It's in a plaza next to Bel-Air and a couple of banks and some small stores including a StarBucks, so it can get crowded and kind of hard to find parking sometimes, but for the most part, it's easy to get in and get out. It's a good store b/c they do try to keep things stocked up, but sometimes inventory can be low on certain sales items (like toilet paper and paper towels), but generally you can get a rain check, but they always ask you to wait for them to check in the back for stock before they'd issue you a rain check for an item you can't find on the shelves and sometimes you don't have time for them to check in the back and they don't care, you have to wait. The lines can get ridiculously long here because this store gets good business being at a busy intersection in the heart of Elk Grove, but overall the staff try to open up enough lines to keep the lines short and the customers happy. They've had a lot of management changes of certain supervisors and staff, but overall, most of the cashiers are nice. This, like most of the other CVS's in Sacramento were previously Longs Drugs converted and remodeled, so this store is pretty big but some parts are still old. They also kept the old green Longs Drugs plastic carts that are dingy, gross, and do not work very well even though they are bigger and can hold a lot more. They added new carts that are smaller, nimble, and clean and I prefer to use those, but they don't hold much. A decent store, not great, not horrible. 3-star. read more

Today I brought my son in who had a fever for multiple days, but no other symptoms. We say Dr Tracy Iyamu-Sanusi. She was kind, personable and full of knowledge. All of our needs were met. My son ended up having an ear infection. Antibiotics were prescribed and I was able to pick up at the pharmacy. Check in was easy, we were the only people there! I can't say enough good things about the staff. The intake nurse was also wonderful. They treated us like humans and we felt loved and heard! They were warm and made my son have the best experience possible. I can't thank them enough. Will definitely use this facility again if need be. read more

I like this place for mini drugstore makeup hauls. The price during sales could be cheaper than Target and I'm all for that. Otherwise, it's a typical drugstore. Not always the cheapest, but better priced than a grocery store for household staples. Great candy selection for the movies. Because we all do that. read more

If you're in a hurry to get someplace don't come here. I waited in line for 15 minutes to purchase one item (I was the second person in line btw). Why? It was because there was only one cashier around and there was someone who had like 30 coupons which most of those coupons had already been expired. I was in a rush too because I planned to go to CVS before my dentist appointment. Also the workers here don't seem to know what to do if you ask them for help nor do they care how you are. One of the workers asked how I was feeling. I told them I was in pain and needed a pain reliever. There response was "Splendid! Here's the aisle you are looking for now have a wonderful rest of the day". Another tip, don't trust any of the CVS brand products. I bought a box of heat wraps that I now regret purchasing because they don't work! We always get good customer service here. There is one male checker that is always helpful and friendly. I didn't catch his name, but he is always efficient and friendly. This location is clean and friendly. They usually have pretty good deal on alcohol as well for those who get thirsty. 4 stars for my local CVS. Enjoy. read more

New to the area, and being a frequent shopper at CVS this is the closest. Seems like every CVS I go to, they are set up differently so it takes me a while to get to know the store. Plenty of parking, store is clean (I've been to some dirty, ghetto CVS stores), employees are nice and helpful here. One of the things I did notice is they run out of stock fast here, especially the stuff that's on sale. Then when I come back a few days later, the items are restocked, but usually after the sale ends = ( . I guess snooze you loose. CVS is my main supplier for alcohol and cleaning products, they do a good job of stocking both here. Sometimes I'll be looking thru the selections that are locked and an employee walking by will ask if I need something out of the cabinet. At other CVS's you gotta hit the button a few times and sometimes they dont work, so you gotta flag an employee down. Would be nice if they stayed open later, but there's a 24hr CVS off Florin if I need to go (never been there, but will probably need to go some day). So far so good, this will be my main CVS headquarters for the time being! = ) read more

This review is for the redbox outside the store. Redbox let's you make reservations for a machine which cannot read credit cards. This is kiosk B. Don't reserve movies here. I would recommend only using indoor redboxes which have a lower incidence of damage. read more

The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The manager has twice gone out of his way to accommodate special requests involving gifts. Besides one experience with a less-than-helpful Pharmacy tech, every visit has been pleasant and productive. All of the other employees are nice and seemingly eager to help any request. read more

My complaint is with the company who only offers one brand of Lidocaine patches (the Mylan) brand. These patches don't work because they are supposed to stick to the body but the material is so cheap it does not stick to the body. Since it doesn't stick to the body it does not offer then numbing pain relief it is designed to. The people at the pharmacy have had other customers complain, and yet they still carry the brand. Apparently they are not able to let those in charge of ordering know they are wasting their customer's money by only providing a product that does not work. It is frustrating because I am in a lot of pain and I would rather not take pain medications. I use products like this but now I can't because the product they offer will not work. read more
