I have to give the owner Linh a lot of credit for keeping her small business afloat for almost a year into the pandemic. She bought this nail shop about six months before COVID shut down so many non-essential stores and services, but Linh has always kept her space well maintained, stocked up and very clean. Since she is the only nail artist working, only one customer is usually allowed in the shop at a time, which ensures social distancing is enforced. If an appointment is running over, it's only for a short period of time and there is still plenty of room to keep 6' apart. No walk-ins are taken, as far as I'm aware. I hadn't gotten my nails done in months, so I was long overdue for services. I got a regular pedicure and powder dip for my nails. The massage chair and pedicure were definitely relaxing and much needed. Linh took her time but was very efficient with the pedicure, which included a 5-minute foot and calf massage. I never tried the powder dip in the past, but she explained how much more durable and long lasting it is versus gel, my usual go-to. Dip doesn't require curing under a UV light till the top coat is finally applied. I picked a super sparkly gold color since I was headed to Vegas for the weekend to celebrate a birthday. There is a lot of sanding and buffing, so I'm glad we had on masks and a plexiglass shield to barricade some of the dust. My total came out to $74, not including tip, and I spent almost 90 minutes at the shop. I enjoyed my mini self-care session and will be back for sure. read more

Such a hidden gem! I have been searching for a salon that does Dip Powder Nails and I'm so happy I came across this salon. I've gotten acrylic gel for many years but wanted something healthier and budget friendly too! This is appointment only and only one customer at a time which is something different and a plus! The salon was quiet, very clean and welcoming. The owner herself is the only one working there and is amazing. She takes her time with her work and you don't feel rushed at all. I also appreciate that she explained the process and also what to expect given that it was my first time and my nails were very short. The results did not disappoint!! read more

Linh is awesome! She was my nail tech years ago and yesterday I made an appointment and voila, she's the owner! Very talented and detail oriented. I'm picky and have tried many many nail shops over the years and Linh is the best I've come across. She can do nails with all the artwork and designs that are the fashion or classic sets that I do. I just moved to the Pinole area and a friend recommended me this place. I have finally found THE nails place to go!! I called and she gave me an appointment the same day. I loved the relaxing environment of the salon, it smelled amazing, super clean. I felt super comfortable! Lindsay is very social we had great conversations :) I came in wanting gel pedicure and manicure but I didn't know what colors to chose, her suggestions were great choices! I came here for a manicure and pedicure with my friend for our birthdays and it is a cute little shop. We called and made an appointment ahead of time and got traditional manicure and pedicure for both of us. I chose to try gel polish and was amazed at the time. Everything looked even and amazing but when my nails grew longer it was no longer fun. I think I will stick to regular polish from now on. But that aside, I will definitely come back because the couple that owns the salon is so nice and friendly and they are close to home. read more

I've been going to Lindsey for a few years now when she was at Julie's and followed her to her own shop! She is so detailed and takes her time on your nails. She's so easy to talk to and very honest when you have a question about choosing a color. I always let her freestyle on my nails and she never disappoints, I'm always happy with the outcome! I would highly recommend going to her! As of right now for COVID precautions, she is only taking appointments and no walk-ins. My friend refered me this place (actually is very close to my home) and since then, it became my go to nail salon! Jessica is so creative and talented, yes, she can do Nail ART! I mostly show her pictures and tell her that I want it for my hands and toes, and she nailed it. She listened her customers ideas and/requests. Also, I don't know why it's last longer than I usually had from other nail salons (I always have gels tho). Last month, My friend and I told her that we want Christmas and winter style, Yeap, she did it! It's been almost 1 month, and still not chipped, tho I cook and wash the dishes without gloves. Very cute space with easy parking. $25 for a regular pedicure is about the going rate. Walk-ins are welcomed but because this is such a small space I wouldn't dare pop up, unless it's early on a Monday (I came at 10:30a and was asked to return at 11). Lucky for me no one else was there during my visit so I received full attention and the gentleman there did a great job. Very nice space to be pampered and relax. Finally found my new nail tech! After going to several different places around the East Bay, nail techs were either rude but did a good job or nice but did an okay job. Lindsay was so nice and did my nails so perfectly! She was super gentle but detailed in her work! I love that she took her time with me and even cleaned my cuticles! She made great conversation as well and made me feel really comfortable! I'm so happy she's so close to home and now I can finally go to someone that's efficient and kind! She does want people to make appointments so keep that in mind when calling! I showed her a picture of the color I wanted and she nailed it! Lindsay has been my nail tech for over 2 years; I met her when she was across @ Julies. She does an amazing job with my mani pedis. When I was wearing acrylics I would ALWAYS receive compliments. If shape is important to you, I promise Lindsay is your girl !'ve tried many nail techs but Lindsay is really the TRUTH Her work is very precise, neat and she's VERY gentle (this is also huge plus for me). I could go on about how great she is but you'd have to see for yourself lol She works along side Travis, who was also @ Julies & they are both great. I love how intimate & relaxed the shop feels. I've been going here for so long now! Jessica is the best! She always has so many gel and powder options. Her work is very clean and my nails always feel and look so much better after a mani-pedi! I pay about $40 for a gel manicure plus regular pedicure. Not too bad in my opinion. Be sure to make an appointment beforehand or give her a call before coming in because she gets busy! I'm a loyal customer and I highly recommend this place for some much needed self-care. read more

Although I have never been to this place, and it was highly recommended, I am going to give it one star due to never answering their phone. I called one time back in December and someone answered and said they were booked through the New Year and to call back. I have been calling since the middle of January periodically and no one has answered the phone no matter the time of day, and you cannot leave a voicemail. I understand this is a small nail salon with one nail tech, that is fine, but at least answer the phone and tell me you are busy, booked, or no longer doing nails outside of your regular clients so I wont waste my time calling. read more

Now that some businesses are slowly opening I decide to see if I could get an appointment here based on a friend's recommendation. I drove 30 min to this shop and was met by Lindsey who was professional, on time, and friendly. This being my first eyebrow and facial I was a bit apprehensive but she out my fears to rest. The shop was clean, comfortable and smelled nice. The results if my facial were amazing! Highly recommended read more

Called this morning to see if I could come in for two people the lady said "no not now" I asked when she said at 2pm. She asked for my name and that was the end of the conversation. When we got to the salon there was a man and a lady, the lady was giving a pedicure, so I checked in with the man, I said I had an appointment for 2 pedicures at 2pm he sent us over to pick out a colored polish. As we were picking out color the man came over and said they only had 1 appointment for a pedicure, I said I called in for 2 pedicures and then he said they can only do 1. Anyways we decided to leave because we're not gonna just have one person sit out. They lost business today and in the future. read more

When I first showed up and the owner heard that I had a Groupon, she didn't seem too pleased. She told me that it would cost $5 extra for my French tips, which I was more than ok with because most places charge $3-$5 for tips. However, when she told me that she would charge me another $5 to remove the old gel from my nails, I was quite surprised. I actually made a comment about being a first time customer, even though I'm using a Groupon...wouldn't she at least do it so I would come back again as a regular? She was unhappy so I said "that's fine!" The person doing my pedicure was quite friendly as she could tell from the tone of my voice that I was quite displeased with the $5 charge for my color removal. In all honesty, I've spent more money on a cup of coffee at Starbucks, so it wasn't the $5 that made me disappointed...it was more her tone and the reply seemed so rude. Any way, as we keep going, since I was the only customer in there, the atmosphere seemed to have gotten better because the person doing my pedicure kept doing her best to make small talks and smiled at me often. I will pay extra money for good service, but I won't pay just because she felt that she was losing money on the Groupon offer. Isn't the point of putting yourself out there in hopes of getting new customers who will eventually turn into loyal customers? I'm definitely one to give a new business the benefit of the doubt because I understand how hard it is to grow customer basis during your first year that's why I bought the offer even though I saw all the negative feedbacks. However, this place has lost my business forever even though I liked the way my nails looked after everything's been said and done... Wish I could say that I'll be back, but I guess I'll have to go back to Julie's even though they are super busy during my break and I can hardly make time to go see her. 4 stars for good work and person doing my pedicure -1 star for attitude of owner read more

I would not recommend this place or go back to this place ever again even if they gave me one free manicure. I went in for a gel polish change. The lady who helped me, Tammy was very unpleasant and unwelcoming. She complained and sighed the entire time as she was removing the gel polish from each of my nails. After she was done complaining (about 1 hr) from removing my gel polish, I was already ready to leave by this time, I told her to give me a regular manicure instead of a gel mani. Not even 1 hour later, my polish got messed up because she did too many thick layers and it would not dry, she seems inexperienced to me. They should hire better manicurist and more friendly employees. Such a waste of my time and money going here. read more

A hidden gem!!! Tried this place for the first time last night....loved it! I have tried to get in this place twice before but was turned away, so I will admit I was discouraged and cautious when I stopped by last night. However, I found out that Jessica is the only nail tech here, so she recommends making an appointment. No big deal, I will be back. My sis and mom in law have been coming here for a while, and I can understand why! Atmosphere is quiet, not a bunch of chatter, unless you want to. She creates a relaxing environment. Both pedi and shellac mani were good quality, it didn't feel rushed at all. Price for both, $40. Very good! read more

My manicure sucked. The lady that did my nails was not the owner, she was rough on my cuticles, did not trim them off, she ripped them off. Having a bad day? Gheez. Then nail polish time, once my nails dried they had bubbles all over them? Too thick? too many layers...maybe... read more

Even though I read a lot of not so nice reviews, I thought I should really give this place a shot. I'm kind of glad I did becus she did a wonderful job! This cute little shop is located in the Sam's Hotdog plaza in Pinole across from Pear Bistro Cafe. The owner works alone so the shop is pretty quiet. She did a wonderful job on my nails and also very reasonable pricing. I paid $33 for a mani & pedi and 2 designs. I definitely will be returning :) The could use more variety of colors tho. Light, neons, matte, pastel, etc. The have a good amount of gel colors too. read more

The man who did my pedicure was polite, but the massage was the issue. He kept rubbing my shins even after I told him multiple times please no shins, only feet because my shins are sensitive. He just smiled and kept doing it, and when he finally stopped there was only like 2 minutes left of the massage. Then for my nails, I originally asked for a dip set with extensions. The extensions would not stick at all. The lady tried for over 20 minutes and they kept popping off. I told her to just do gel instead, and that's when the owner came and said they would "try a different glue." At this point I just wanted to keep it simple. She also kept trying to upsell everything, even something as small as cleaning cuticles for $8 more. I said no, but she kept insisting because she didn't understand. It was really hard to communicate because no one seemed to speak English well enough to understand what I was asking. I asked for almond shape and ended up with oval. Also she was very rude towards the end would grab my hands aggressively It sucks because the place looks really pretty but the communication was just not there, and I didn't get what I wanted. I personally will not be returning. By the way they have No wifi, and did not offer wine like i seen the reviews .

This is the second nail salon I've ever been to for acrylic nails, and I highly recommend it! The business is owned and operated by a Vietnamese wife and husband, if you're lucky, you can see their two, adorable kids running around in the park. I was very satisfied with my acrylic manicure, it lasted for over three week before needing a fill. They also offer waxing, pedicures, massage, etc--the typical salon services.
