I had my first appointment here last week for a gel pedicure with French tip. I was expecting to pay $55 for a gel pedicure with French tip, but I was charged $75. When I asked why I was being overcharged, I was told the higher price was because I received a deluxe pedicure and a 15-minute massage. I was never asked if I wanted a 15-minute massage, and I didn't realize choosing a scent would be an additional charge, especially since this was my first visit. On their price list there was no option to add a 15 minute massage so how would I have known. The employee had just put the choices of scents out and asked which one I wanted. When I checked in, I only requested a classic pedicure. I really did enjoy the service, but I felt a bit taken advantage of with charges added that I did not request or knowingly approve. My lil one was having a low day so following her gymnastics I decided to schedule a mommy and baby girl pamper session to cheer her up. My lil girl loves to be pampered, more so massages so I booked an appointment at my husband's shop - our first time visiting. For my daughter, she received the Princess Mani Pedi ($35) with a 15 min added massage ($15). For myself, I received the Luxury Jelly Pedi ($80) with gel polish ($15). Van was amazing! She was very detailed and meticulous, which I so greatly appreciated. She removed polish from one toe due to a blemish - THANK YOU!!! - and ensured my cuticles were perfect without any cuts to my skin. The polish is smooth, cleanly covering the entirety of each toe. That may not sound like a big deal BUT IF you've ever had a pedi from hell then you get it. I will definitely request Van for all my pedi sessions. The massage chair at the pedi station was a beautiful bonus allowing for relaxation in the upper and mid parts of the body while my lower half was massaged and focused on by Van. Helen performed my daughter's pedi and massage. She was so gentle with my lil one, treated her like a big girl asking her what colors she wanted and if she was enjoying her massage. Helen even put painted designs on my daughter's fingers and toes - my baby girl was in awe and so pleased. I do not know the name of the young lady who greeted us at the door, who also performed my daughter's mani. She talked to my daughter, asked her questions about her nails and was genuinely kind overall - just as Helen and Van were too. My daughter enjoyed the massage chair following her session while waiting on me. She enjoyed the added massage time! The aesthetic of the shop is clean and contemporary. With register and check in station immediately to your left upon entering. Nails are performed at the front of the shop, pedi stations are behind a wall to the right of entering the shop. The restroom was spacious, clean and stocked well. My daughter and I were the only two in the shop initially until we neared the end of our sessions. I will most likely return with my lil one to have more mother daughter sessions here. The prices are reasonable and the work is great. read more

She was very apologetic but I just wonder how much do they clean their tools (I mean tools for nails if you get acrylic are obviously not being cleaned). Casual but not cheap looking eh. I like it. Really good experience. I called in the morning to book an appointment that day. Showed up a couple hour later. Grabbed a coffee from Starbucks which is in the same parking lot. Upon arrival, I was asked to check in, waited a few minutes then sat at one of the chairs. The woman who set me up didn't really get the water hot enough but I waited patiently as I could see they were busy. Shortly later a man came over and changed the water temp to a perfectly warm foot soak. He did my pedicure while a woman took care of the manicure. Did they nail it? I'm very Luke warm on the final product even though I've been using this salon for months. The process was also quite painful to my cuticles and nail bed, and a very dirty UV lamp was used for my hands. Due to the decline in services I unfortunatly will not be going back, and I wouldn't recommend them. read more

I am the type of lady who rarely gets her nails done by a nail tech. I am a nurse, so having short nails is ideal to avoid accidentally scratching or poking patients or having nails get in the way of doing procedures or charting. I go occasionally to get my nails done - trips and special occasions. So far the times I have gone to BT Nails and Spa was for trips and my last visit was for my destination wedding in Hawaii. I always schedule my appointments online via their website. I am taking a star off for the times that I had visit for a service when a nail tech gave me cuts on my toes and I bled a little and the sites stung. And for when a nail tech accidentally got one of their tools onto my finger (away from the nail) and caused some pain. And the couple of times I knew they were talking about me in their language (which is something that happens almost in every nail salon right?) which made me feel awkward and uncomfortable but I ignore it anyways. But other than that, I have had good visits! Staff is friendly when you walk in. A lot of them are so nice and make sure you are happy with the service. The place is clean and the music is good. There hasn't been any moments where I questioned how sanitized the place and their tools are. They do their best to accommodate their customers when it gets busy. And They accept walk-ins. My mom was able to come in to have her gel polished removed with no issues. I like that is is close to where I live that I can walk here if I wanted to. And if you are a first timer trying to figure out which nail tech to go to...definitely go to JENNY / JENNIFER. She has been great! And even if there are things she cannot replicate or do exactly as the picture you show her, she consults and confirms with you on other ways that you both can agree on. I will now be a regular at this shop! I'm transitioning from years of an acrylic overlay over to structured manicures / builder gel, and not many places in the East Bay seem to offer it. Yelp had failed me with the shop I tried before this one, luckily the reviews were pretty spot-on for BT Nails. I decided to book an appointment with Van and she did an amazing job! She removed the bad builder gel set that I had on my nails then did her magic with a new one. Booking an appointment was super easy, I called a few days ahead of time and got on the books. In my opinion, they're transparent about pricing, it's available on their website and on a large sign when you walk in. As a safeguard I confirmed what the fee was for removal of the work that wasn't done by them when I booked the appointment. I appreciate how much Van seems to prioritize quality and nail health. She educated me on some of the factors that impact the quality of a builder gel set, many of which were ignored by the tech at the previous shop. She shaped my nails perfectly and the overlay looks so good / natural. Bonus points because she gave my cuticles some much needed extra attention. The environment was clean and the shop is pretty big. Parking is super easy, it's in a shopping center so there's plenty of spaces. read more

First time in this Spa! Mediocre experience, beside my hand getting wounded, uneven nail(simple round), vibe it's weird, not friendly atmosphere and they keep talking in their language. I came early and I specifically asked for only manicure said it twice via phone and still booked me for mani and pedicure. When I came and I said just only manicure- face changes abruptly. I left sooner than expected because my manicurists not knowing what his doing- made my hands worse, croaked and cuticle are deeper which is not good because it will become prone to infection and injury. One lady saw my hand and felt sorry for me and help the other manicurists to take care of my injured fingers. Hope this helped. Their nail design skills are decent... But I wouldn't recommend this place if you like gel extensions. I've been getting them done at another shop for about a year now. They always last such a long time. I tried to change it up because I wanted a specific design. Never again. One nail was broken within 2 days (from just washing my hair). Another one broke a couple days later (while putting on my shoe), and today, one just fell right off. Giving 3 stars because the nail design was actually really good. So the service was great! I was greeted and told to pick my color and they had a ton of colors and one in particular Chaun Legends brand which I cannot wait to try!! I appreciated The recommendations for which nails to get and I love the fact that Van, my technician, shout out to Van did a good job in coming up with some ideas to help my design come to life. I was thinking of only giving them four stars because I like my shape to be a little bit more precise, but I think that for the first time going to the shop, they did an amazing job and next time I'll make sure to voice ny wants because when she started putting on the tips i realized i didnt like the shape and Van kept checjing with me if it was okay and when i asked to change the tips she did so with no hesitation. I've known Hana for almost 10 years now and she's always been my go-to nail person. I've followed her from salon to salon because she's that good! I've brought my family and friends to enjoy her services because she's that good! I got married in 2022 and obviously couldn't bring myself and my bridal party anywhere else. Now she's opened up a new nail salon in Hercules which is even closer to me! So excited for her and her team. This space is beautiful, nice and open, the renovation is perfs! For our most recent visit in March 2024, we all did manicures and pedicures (some with gel and regular polish). I went with gel because I need my nails to last a long time. I had never tried chrome and was feeling adventurous, plus Hana can get me to try about anything and I'd trust her. I was a little nervous, but I loooooveddd the end result. I came as a walk in, and they were able to take me in immediately which was great! I asked for a full set and omg ... the amount of times I got nicked was insane.
