Long story short my app was at 12 I did not leave until 2:30 then had to walk back in after walking out once I noticed there was no polish on the side of my nails! I went to this salon for the first time as I had heard they do a good job. I got a fill and a pedicure. The pedicure was ok except but paying for the premium and not getting much of a massage made it not really worth the price. The person who did my nails, must be new to doing nails. She put the acrylic on very thick, my thumbs are are shaped terribly, and didn't clean under my nails very well. When I tried to tell her to correct but she couldn't understand me and the other staff didn't seem to want to help her understand. First and last time here. read more

My only complaint is sometimes I have an appointment and they will run late because they'll take someone else first. I'm not a super picky person, I'm not super hard to please, but I feel like the person that I got tonight did not listen to me at all. At first I was asking if we could do a black tip and ombré down and they told me no, whatever no problem. Then I pulled up a tutorial video of something else that I'd like instead, I was OK with not having design, she insisted on putting a design, After she drew it, and I didn't like it. I spent $55 for my nails for fill. And I tipped her $15 because I took her time. But I went home and painted my nails a different color. I tried the same technique that I saw in the video I showed her with light pink.(I'm pretty upset that I don't own a creamy white.) and got the results that I wanted ended up coloring my nails a whole different color because I work in sales and point out things with my hands all day long. I can't afford to look cheap and tacky. On top of that now I'm actually having to spend money and go to a real professional and get my nails done. As far as pedicures go, this place is amazing. But as far as like nail design, it's kind of bad. I guess Julie is a person that I should've asked for( I don't go here for fingers often) but come on. How am I showing you a whole tutorial on how to do exactly what I want and you insist on doing it your own way I won't ever be going here to get my nails done the picture that I posted of in Instagram chat. He is based in Concord check out his Instagram it's by appointment only and he takes a $20 deposit fee. If there's something that you don't know how to do, you should just be out front and say that. And then list whats in your skill set. If I knew she didn't know how to do any type of ombré or design would've asked for a solid color. Like I'm not hard to please, i can shape my nails and add things at home. If I need, I really would have rather she told me she couldn't do it like she told me she couldn't to black ombré tips because I'd need a new set. As nail techs, you are artist. And I know it's not like you like people critiquing. I don't really like critiquing either. But saying "whatever you like" in a almost condescending way and then delivering something that doesn't look good... Like my guy Kevin if he does something and doesn't like it at least he'll be like 'I think it would look better like this' or hey I know it's not what you want let me know if I should take it off and not give you any type of attitude. I asked if she could do the abstract design to try and cover up the center where the blending ombré was horrible, then saw that the design was a little gross to and she insisted I keep two fingers. 100% will not come back here for my fingers. I've been getting my nails done here since April and whenever the only two techs I like are not available the others that work here are NOT good at nails. they've messed up twice now within the span of two months. oh and be careful if u want to get ur nails soaked off cuz they'll complain the whole time about it (even tho they're the ones who did my nails in the first place) see pictures below for reference -- they're not painted properly AND they're lumpy! longer nails are fake nails (july) and short is gel (august) (videos taken one day after getting them done). Well today was an epic disappointment. Let me start by saying I'm a regular here. And generally I love this place. Most of the techs are really great and friendly. I made the unfortunate mistake of sitting with a tech I had never seen and hoping for the best. I absolutely did not get the best. I went in for a gel fill. My nails were actually pretty great still, I just bumped one really hard and it was lifting, so I figured just get them all done because it was time. I told the tech that one was lifting so we could fix it. Mind you, I just got a fresh full set 6 weeks ago. I just needed a repair. She took the nail off. I told her not to and she did it anyway. The new nail doesn't match the shape of the rest of the set AT ALL! When she did the liquid/powder, she literally only added it to the base of the nail. So my nails aren't smooth. It's like a topographical map. Then she didn't file/buff thoroughly. By this time I just want to be done because I already know I'm going to have someone else fix this. I really wanna cry right now. Like.... I'm really upset lol. I'll update this if Julie or one of the other magicians in there can fix this. Otherwise just know, usually it's good here. I have been coming to this nail salon for a couple of years. The owner and staff are quite friendly. Most of the time though they always make you wait between 15-25 mins even when you have an "appointment." I already know my chances of waiting regardless of an appt. The only reason I have tolerated their tardiness because it was so hard to find a person to take care of my ingrown toenail. That's why I just decided to continue to go to this nail salon. However, my recent visit today for a pedicure was very disturbing and disappointing regarding their protocol with COVID-19. I had an appt at 10:15am, as soon as I got there at 10:10am, they were ready for me, which was surprising. She sat me down on the chair, there was a space between me and the other ladies that were getting a pedicure. I thought to my self that's good they're practicing social distancing and keeping their masks on. In the middle of my pedicure a customer came in, and the owner sat her down next to me (no chair space between us). She was sitting less than a foot from me. And I looked at the owner, and I looked at the lady (I would like to keep her anonymous) that was doing my pedicure , and she knew I was uncomfortable because I scooted out of my chair. She seen me shake my head, because why isn't anyone saying something? I felt really uncomfortable, violated, and just no respect for your customers. I turned to the woman next to me and I said, "I apologize, this is nothing personal. I can't sit next to you because this isn't social distancing and I have to say something." She said, no your fine I understand. I told the lady massaging my feet, excuse me, (lady's name) pls stop. I'm sorry but I have to leave. I can't continue to get my pedicure if you guys aren't practicing social distancing. It's not the customers fault that you sat her next to me, but I won't allow you to break protocol during a pandemic. She said, I'm sorry, I can move you somewhere else. The other employees looked at me and how were sitting next to each other and started talking in their language. Which again, very disrespectful and rude. At that point, I didn't care what they were saying about me. I told the lady pls stop, I will still pay the $30 deluxe nail spa even though you didn't finish the services, and I will still give you my $10 tip. And then she replied to me and said, " next time you come earlier." I said, what do you mean earlier? I did come early I have an appt at 10:15and I was here earlier than my appt time, your owner decided to keep taking in customers and not follow policies in place for social distancing. Why would I have to move when I was in the middle of getting pedicure already? I paid her $40 in cash and I told her the $10 tip was hers. I put on my sandals and I walked over to the owner and I said, you can't do this. You're risking everyone, your employees, your customers, and your business just to make a quick buck. And she said sorry come back next time, and I said don't you know there's a policy in place?! And then I just left. My question is this as a consumer... How is the owner of Luxury Nails willing to sacrifice her business/license to be taken and closed just for a few extra dollars, risk your employees and clients safety especially when theirs protocol in place regarding the pandemic? The audacity to tell me to come in earlier, when the other customer was a walk-in, she could've just told the walk-in customer if she can wait about 10mins as I was finishing up. But the owner didn't, she doesn't care about the safety of her customers and employees. As a customer, I was supporting her business and this is how I'm treated?! If you are unaware of the CDC guidelines in regards to COVID-19, pls make sure to read it and be aware how important these guidelines are and why they're in place. If i could give this nail shop no stars I would. I spent 3 hours here just for my nails to come out terrible. My regular nail guy was on vacation, so i opt to have another lady do my nails... Terrible experience, I was cut on multiple fingers and they were so sore the next day. She left my cuticles so raw after 3 hours of using the file and buffing . I left very unhappy with my nails.They came out very chunky , thick, all the nails were different shapes and sizes. All I asked for was square and she couldnt do that and when I asked for my money back the next day the owner said no , she offered to have the lady that did my nails horrible to them again and I couldn't trust that they would come out okay. No other option was given. I have been going there for years and the first inconvenience that i have with them, they couldn't help me fix the situation.
