DO NOT GO TO WAIKIKI NAILS. I went there for a new set of nails. Less than 1 week later, 2 of the nails lifted so I went back there and they repaired with no charge. By 3 weeks later 8 nails had lifted so I returned there for repair. I was told that they would not repair them. I have worn nails for many years and this has NEVER happened to me. My nail application turned out to be of very low quality. They do not stand by their work. read more

Teeny tiny nail shop thats still standing even after the Bank of America , CVS, Pizza Hut have all closed in this strip mall. They are great for pedicures but need a bit of an update . I have have been to this nails salon twice because my co worker recommended it to me. The first time was ok nothing out of the ordinary had a pedi and nails done, second time I dropped in but they were busy so I was asked to return at 3pm. So I did, I has asked for a pedicure and nails refill, the lady doing my nails was the older lady there she started to do my pedicure so fast that she was done in 15 minutes because I saw my watch before she started and by the time she was done was exactly 15 minutes after. I'm use to have my pedicure done every month and the others places I have gone they usually take 45 to one hour , then when I asked about my refill the lady got mad and say " NO, I have no time to come back the next day" then I got upset because I specifically said pedicure and refill so she then asked the other technician who was a guy and he saw my nails pushed. Y hands away and say " No, he had no time aether " so I was upset because I already had made two trips there and when I set the appointment I stated I wanted both services. Anyways I will never go back to them because they were very unprofessional and rude. read more

My mother and I went here to get our wedding nails done. Their prices are unbeatable compared to other nail salons in the Pinole area. They do a decent job (especially for the price), which is why I didn't mind waiting 30-ish minutes for my mom and I. Even though the interior may not look like a fancy five star salon, the overall relaxed vibe and cozy atmosphere definitely makes up for it. DO NOT GO IN THERE. I went in there friday, and completely rushed their job. I get home and the orange peels off my second to last toe, and the pinky. I call and leave a voicemail since they closed the next day. I came back today on Monday, and ask her to FIX THE NAILS SHE MESSED UP. I mention how I can't find the color in the bin of swatches and she RUSHES ME TO "pick a color." At this point I'm politely annoyed and say "white." She proceeds to REDO a whoooooole pedicure procedure, which at this point she takes HELLA long and I'm realizing that she didn't even do a good job THE FIRST TIME if you're still finding cuticle to cut. She proceeded to CHARGE ME $35 again for her "labor." I TIMED her to see how long she let the white paint cure. Not even 30 seconds at times. How tf is supposed to stay on?? At this point I stand up for myself, which is rare but I say "I came in for you to fix what YOU messed up, I didn't ask you for all of that." And all of a sudden her price dropped to $25. So I angrily go to the ATM next door and STILL PAY HER JUST FOR MY WHITE TO PEEL JUST 5 HOURS LATER AGAIN. I'm going in again for my money. This is ridiculous. $95 ON THEIR F*ckupS!!!! I don't know if the bad reviews were just from the past but I love this place and I'm very picky. I had a favorite nail spot for years but after the pandemic they just fell off. I stumbled on this place and they did a great job and I've been here since. My nails are always neatly painted, not lumpy or thick but most importantly it's 60$ for gel painted pedi and gel nails. I'm a bit picky about the shape of my active length acrylics because I want them to look natural and once I make a suggestion they shape them just the way I like. I checked with them about getting a manicure. I was told the charge was $15. I am a male. Today, I went to get a manicure here. The owner, Diane, took care of me. After she was finished she said that the price would be $20. I said that I was told it was $15. She said that it costs $5 additional to get my nails buffed. I am in my 70s and have been getting manicures since the 1960s. NOT ONCE did anyone try to charge additional money for having my nails buffed. It is part of the manicure. AVOID!! read more

When my daughter and I made appointment for two fills with few nail replacement was no issue. We get to our appointment few minutes early, looking at the polish picking our color when we asked if they had them in gel ( response go look for it)! Wow okay i have never had to look myself the shop usual knows (Julie's in Pinole is our normal ) which was booked. The lady in third chair takes off my color then gets up 3 times and says we'll do u still want them or not if we don't have color. I said I'm here now. She cut down my nails without asking, then makes them different sizes, and ask what want fix I said everything she pissed off both hands are different lengths and some thinner then others. So I just got out of my manicure. The older lady didn't seem to understand that I wanted to keep my nails square, she kept curving the file and I must've said it 3 times but coincidentally she was able to square the nails on my left hand. To top that the length of my left hand nails were longer significantly and she kept saying they were even. She basically filed the right hand all the way down to where there was no more protruding nail. Although she has glasses there is still something wrong with her eyes. It was such a rushed job especially since a new customer came in. I had asked for the clear pink and she barely covered the whole nail and then immediately topped it with clear. She immediately rushed over to the new customers and if I hadn't of said anything I'd still be waiting for her to pay. I'm so disappointed in this place. read more

Totally love these ladies. Comfortable Pedicure Chairs with massage. Very quick but be sure to make an appoint well in advance because they get very busy. They welcome walk ins but again if they are busy you may have to come back. I think this will be my last time at Waikiki Nails. Every time I come to this salon, folks rush to get my nails done as quickly as possible. Today felt especially rushed, and I left with my toes looking like they were painted by a 9 year old. Today I was helped by the man that works there. AVOID HIS CHAIR IF YOU CAN AT ALL COST. He didn't shape my toes with a file, didn't apply a bottom clear coat, and was so quick to get me out of his chair that he rushed with the top coat to the point that it was obvious it wasn't being applied evenly. When I asked him to please do one more top coat (ya know, since he didn't do a bottom coat), he rushed so quickly again, that he dribbled top coat down the bottom of my toe and didn't even notice or bother to clean it up. When I complained to the woman who was doing my manicure, she offered to reapply the polish, but I didn't have the time to sit there and have it redone, nor did I think it was fair that she have to do more work because he wasn't doing his. They ended up charging me full price. So not worth it. read more

Came around 6pm to get a pedicure. Was a 30 minute wait. Got into the pedi chair around 6:30... I understand they close at 7pm, but c'mon put some effort into your work because you will not get tipped at all. $20 for a pedicure is definitely something you cannot pass up but the lady that was doing my pedicure was young, she look like she was about 20 y/o maybe younger (Idk, you know these Asian girls never age unless they wear ton of make up) She did a horrible foot massage, it was just all rubbing like she was hella lazy. I'm paying $20 to get my foot rub (not even a massage) I wear heels to work M-F so my feet need some scrub and love. When she scrubbed it, it wasn't even hard to where the dry skin fall off/smooth out. Did a lazy work, and on top of that she made me sit there for 25 minutes for it to dry, it usually dry in 10 minutes and the hot wax treatment that leaves your feet smooth, well she left some wax on my feet when she peeled it off. So I didn't tip at all, usually I tip $5 or $7 if they did a good job, guess she was just lazy and couldn't wait to get off work. read more
