Daisy Nails wouldn't take me at 6:10pm (after telling me they would), so I kept driving and found My Nails nearby. There, I was seen right away by Lisa. I keep my nails short and buffed with no polish. She followed my requests perfectly and added a stress-melting hand/arm massage. Cash only, $15 plus tip, which is lower than I've seen anywhere else locally. Very happy with this salon discovery and will try again. I needed a gel fill and a pedicure. This was my first time here. I visited on 10/13/2023 around 10:30. I enter this shop there was no customers and the chairs I thought Lucky me. I asked how much it would cost for a fill and a pedicure, the owner Lee stated $65 cash only. I said ok. Lee was acting agitated. I let him finish my nails, and his assistant did my pedicure. I paid him with $100 bill. He gave me back $30 I said what happened to my five dollars he said I needed to do extra work on your nails. This was a bait and switch I would never ever ever go back to this nail salon again and do not recommend anyone going there. Maybe that's why they didn't have any customers on a Friday at 10:30 AM. read more

I usually go to a specific place for my pedicures, but since my mom was getting a massage in the same plaza I decided to give this place a shot! I was kind of scared because of the ratings, but I'm glad I went! The guy in the front greeted me and asked what I wanted. I was a walk-in and waited less then 5 minutes so that was cool! Got my nails done with my friend! Overall price was $75 for gel manicure and pedicure (both classic). My nail tech was Jasmine and she was great! She really took their time and I appreciated that she let me change colors at the last minute. It's kind of pricey but they did a good job. They accept card but it's an extra $1 and you don't get stamps which go towards your next manicure. read more

I've been a pedi customer at My Nails for many years. Tina use to do my pedicures.. enjoyed it very much. The foot and leg massages were worth the trip every time. Now however they tend to be like every where else hurry hurry. Pay extra for salt rub and it's even faster. My main goal is relaxation and a pedicure with all the luxuries. I'll continue there but the gel manicure is very pricy there $50.00 or more with tip. Julie's has limited massage but a gel pedi is $35.00. I hope they bring back the ultimate foot and leg massage. I usually get my nails done at T&T nails by fruitvale in Oakland, but my friend took me with him to get his hair cut and this place was right next to the barbershop. So I decided to go get my nails done while he got his hair cut I didn't think much of this place, so I asked for medium coffin nails with a nude color and my pinky with this teal color with stiletto. I was so surprised how much better this place was then t&t, the service was wonderful they left my nails amazing. Usually at t&t nails they don't put the cuticle oil and just leave my hands all crusty, but here at my nails they left my hands all moisturized and all that it was wonderful. read more

I went to this place because the place I go to a closed. I was disappointed by the pricing because despite COVID it was expensive! Usually I pay $30-$40 bucks for a full set and gel. This place charged me $45. This was really disappointing. I felt rushed and I asked for a design and the nail tech said he could do it. By the time he was almost done he did not do the design. My nails came out cute but the price was not right and he did not do my design that I wanted. Felt really disappointed. Also there is no sign saying it's cash only. This is my first time doing a pedicure here, usually I just get my nails done. The lady was very gentle and warm. She asked how I wanted my water and let my feet soak for a good 5 mins before she started. I gave it 4 stars because they are cash only and I tend to forget so my husband has to go get cash from the near by bank. But over all good service. read more

This place is a sitcom just waiting to happen with the titles of: "2 Dykes, One Straight and a Nail Place" or "Pinch, Punch, Bend" or "My Nails, Attack, Touch My Boobs Then Feel Like Crap"... So, after lunch at Jennifer and Todd's we decided to get quick manicures. Suzy and her girl only wanted the cuticle clean up and massage part, I wanted the paint part. Since they sprung for lunch, I figured I would spring for the manicures. Upon sitting down, I pulled out my credit card and put it on the nail station along with my keys in preparation for when I would be done. Nothing was said. The manicure part was fine. Not the best I have had and certainly not the worst. The bad part came with the massage. Not just for me, but for all of us. We are sure to have a great time in years to come about this experience but this is the run down on the "hand massage". Me: Lotion. Rub, rub, rub. Lotion. Rub. Then the good stuff. She started pinching me. She took both hands and started grabbing my upper arms as if to massage but was pinching the crap out of my (forgive me) grandma arm (you know the hanging skin part) and it hurt like a mother. Suzy: Lotion. Rub, rub, rub. Bend fingers back and forth just to see if she was double jointed or something then would pull her hands towards her boobs. At one point Suzy said she copped a feel and it wasn't good. Suzy's girl: Lotion. Rub, rub, rub. Start pounding with sides of fists on shoulders, arms and sides. I looked over as this was happening and was dumbstruck at this assault taking place. Luckily, it didn't last long. The last thing that made this place go on my ASS list is the fact that they DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING BUT CASH! This is not advertised on the door, window or anywhere but a small sign from a home printer that states "No Checks, Cash Only". Would have been nice if they would have said something when I pulled out my credit card at the beginning of the whole process..And, they charged the same for each of us even though I was the only one who had polish. Very bad service. The owner seems to only give you good service if you seem rich and have the money. She talks shit while you getting your nails done. She probably didn't know i can understand her. Lee and his wife Tina own this place and have had it for many years. Both are good at nails. Lee is the best manicurist I have ever met. Tina is best at pedicures and pounds the crap out of my legs after a VERY LONG massage. I love it. The horrible lighting and decor is something I don't care about. The constant chatting between the girls (which I don't understand), I don't care about. The torn carpet, don't care. I'm there to get my nails done and they do a great job for $28 (plus a fat tip obviously). My only request: use less stinky polish, maybe chemical free and then I would promise to come every 14 days, I promise. read more

I've been going to My Nails for over six years now. I love it!! Lee is the best when it comes to arcylics. I haven't gotten acrylics in years but when I do I want him to do them. I mostly go in every two-three weeks for a pedicure. Everyone that works there has worked on my feet and they're all very good. If you ask them to work on something specific they will be more then happy to do it. Everyone is very friendly. They give the best massages. When I need to relax and forget about the stresses in my life I go get my feet done at My Nails. There was someone in particular that used to work there, Ana. She's no longer there. I miss her. She did the best massages. I hope one day she'll come back. Also, if you go to My Nails you probably know Andy. He's such a trip. He's cool to talk to. Always tryin to go to the club, lol.... I just moved into this area and wandered in to get a pedi. OMG. I think there was a reason I was the only person there! The place is horribly outdated. Old equipment. Peeling massage chairs. Nail polish brands I've never heard of. I was very concerned about the level of sanitation here. I'm not sure they sterilized their tools and she used a tool on me with a cloth wrapped handle that I knew couldn't have been autoclaved. And she also used a pumice stone. I'm sure they don't throw those away between clients. Ick. The ambiance is NOT. One woman was doing my pedicure - two others sitting on a sofa across from me and all chatting in Vietnamese the whole time. They have computers out and are playing Vietnamese music sporadically. Later, when my toes where drying, a man came in and put on the TV so Judge Judy was playing. Gee, how spa like! Not! The pedi itself was okay - I thought. But on closer inspection it's sloppy. My nails were cut unevenly. The polish is on my skin around several toes. I was SO upset. I've had wonderful experiences at my pedicure places in Berkeley and this was not my hour of relaxation and pampering that I've come to expect. It was however the same price! First time here. I am greeted with open arms and friendly faces. Sat me down so quick I couldn't see a price list or the cash only sign. My bad :( Anyway, i enjoy the massaging chairs and the quick and efficient service. The chemical smell is super pungent. I had to sit around waiting on my ride and by the end of the 1.5 hrs my lungs hurt and my head was spinning. I think I even got a buzz off the fumes. Truly disappointed. They seem nice, but they didn't seem to understand a single word coming out of my mouth as to what I wanted. I came in with a picture of what I wanted. I thought they would suggest acrylics, as the picture seemed to be acrylics, but they did UV gel instead. I showed the picture to two manicurists multiple times (one shaped my nails and the other colored them). I also kept on saying "long," but the younger manicurist just kept on repeating back "long color" (???). I even pointed to the picture on my phone to show that I wanted long nails. I wanted to treat myself on my birthday, but instead came home very frustrated that I just wasted $25. Also, I think I saw 1 OPI and 1 sally hansen. 1st time back after the pandemic. Saying prices have gone up would be an UNDERSTATEMENT. I understand trying to recoup for lost business. But gouging your customers isn't going to be good for business. I generally tip 20% across the board. And you have to give really bad service for me not to tip. Because I work in service! But the price increase was even more then I would have paid with a 20% tip before the price increase. Thats saying a lot. And then they refused to take anything but cash for payment. So, not only are they gouging their customers. But they aren't paying tax? So, does that mean more eidl and ppp (pandemic money) in their pockets? I'm all about supporting the small businesses. But come on right is right! And that's just wrong! read more

They do a good job with manicures and pedicures. I've mostly gone for pedicures but I had a fill done once. The guy that did my nails wasn't the warmest, but he took his job seriously and did a beautiful job and made my nails look really nicely and natural. 4 stars for the pedi!!! I visited this place a couple weeks ago to get acrylics and a pedicure done. While I was getting the mani done, the gentleman seemed to be a bit rough with my hands. He hurt me a few times with the sander, and even made me bleed a little /; It came out pretty, but it wasn't worth the pain to get it. No pain no gain I guess? Lol well anyways, fast forward to the pedi. I have an ingrown toenail and the woman who worked on me got it out! I WAS SO HAPPY. That thing had been bothering me for weeks. She did a wonderful job on my feet, but I hear depending on who you get, the pedi differs. All in all, an alright experience. Will be back for pedis. read more

I have gone to this salon since I was teenager. It breaks my heart to say I will never go back. On my last visit my technician became upset with me because I asked her to soak my fingers in water or use cuticle softener to cut my cuticles, rather than cut them dry. After several failed attempts to convince me the gel polish wouldn't work if she didn't dry cut my cuticles, it was hard to understand her through the accent, but at one point I believe she said something to the affect of, if you want me to do your nails I don't use water (lol hilarious. She used the water.) Then she proceeded to assault my cuticles viciously with the cutters. I hate cuticles, so I allowed it. But I would imagine someone less tolerant than I, would've had a serious problem with the pain she was as causing by stabbing me repeatedly with the cutters. Her polishing skills were even worse. And she left these weird little bubbles in the polish (see photo). This wasn't my first bad experience here. I have not had a good experience at this salon in years. I hate writing poor reviews, but enough is enough. read more

I love coming here... most nail places they speak in other languages so you can't understand and frankly I feel like they are talking stuff about me... here if they talk in another language they make sure to let you know what they said... at first I felt like the owner lee did not like me but as time went on he warmed up and is very nice... he also has no problem with me bringing my service animal... the service animal thing is new to me so I feel awkward walking into places still... lee greets me and my animal with open arms and as long as they are in business I will only go to them! read more

I came here once before and got great service by Lee for a fill. Before my polish was applied, I was asked to pay. I didn't think anything of it until last night. I was asked again to pay before polishing. There was also a woman there of Hispanic origin. I noticed she paid just before she walked out the door. AND it was near closing, everyone else went to their car and I was left with my hands in the nail dryer. Lee comes back in, turns off the light, sprays something that smelled like aquanet on my hands and told me not to touch anything with my hands. Wtbs, I'm on my way out now this morning to get them repainted somewhere else. They are ALL smudged. I won't ever go back there. read more

I love this place mainly for Julie! This other girl usually do my pedi and she left, it's still a mystery, first I was told she was sick, then pregnant and the chemical does not agree with her then finally she's not coming back. Tine had someone else do my nails and I was back within two weeks. So I decided to let Tina do it but while waiting Julie asked me to give her a try. This was 10 months ago and since then I see Julie once a month, twice if I'm going on vacation. I really don't like the chatting between the ladies including Tina and Lee.
