This place isn't too bad! Cheap prices and good service! It's very spacious in there which I love. Another plus is that there is a parking lot.. even though I was unsure of which spots I was actually allowed to park in. But even a couple of spots available is really convenient. I'm knocking it down a star because I had three broken nails.. and even though she did a great job overall, they were shorter than all of my other nails !! I don't know why, but I didn't even notice till later on that day. Having these three short nails was such a pet peeve. I ended up going to a different shop the following week to have them removed and got another full set. The first time I went to Princess Nails, the girl who did my manicure popped her foot up on the table and started exfoliating her heel. I was a little put off but they did such a nice job on my acrylic manicure that I looked past it and came back for repeat business. Today however, I was really disappointed when I got a pedicure here for the first time. The girl who did the pedicure didn't massage my feet at all and I left with my heels still super rough and icky. My husband got a pedicure as well and he didn't get his feet rubbed either which is surprising as anywhere else we've gone, he's always gotten star foot treatment. If you want a nice decently priced manicure, I recommend Princess Nails, especially since they have free parking which is hard to come by in this area. However, for a pedicure, I would recommend Apollo nails on Queen Anne Ave but be sure to make an appointment. read more

Oh how I love this place... The first time I came, I called first and got an appointment for a full set. I had 'em on for a week and realized that I was barely functional as a human being, so I went in around 3pm to have the full set taken off and to get a gel mani. BEST DECISION EVER! Their gel manis easily last me a full 3 weeks without chipping and they make sure to put enough coats on that the light colors aren't opaque. I sat here with my e-reader in front of me and when my nail technicians (all of em, how awesome?!) realized I was done with a page, they'd even turn the page for me without me having to ask! No noxious fumes from this salon, either, since they mostly do gel polish. I've been here a number of times now, and will continue to return for sure. Can't beat a gel mani for $30 (including removal of old gel), AND they give you a shoulder massage. ...I'm in nail heaven... read more

It's never over crowded because he's does a good job of managing the schedule and you never end up waiting too long. I just moved to lower Queen Anne and am so happy to have found a great nail salon like Princess Nails! Every other Saturday I will roll out of bed at 1PM, put on a sweatshirt and get a manicure, aka hold hands with a stranger for 45 minutes. There's no other stranger whose hand I would rather hold than Li's (although she tells me she is married...) This salon has everything I look for: quick without feeling rushed, clean, detail oriented and inexpensive. Five stars for the manicures and pedicures and a sixth star (if I could) for Li, the technician who made small talk and even ran after me when I forgot my water bottle. The only thing I'd mention is that it's small and they're often packed on Saturdays so it's not a bad idea to make an appointment beforehand! Thanks Li! read more

Have been here twice, once recently this week. We do the regular manicure ($15/each). They do a great job ---- base coat, then dry. Color coat, then dry. Color coat, then dry. Top coat, then dry. People are friendly enough and it's clean, too. I think this is my favorite place in Seattle now (for value, and quality of service). My visit was made today, Friday Aug 31st at 1:30pm. Services: Manicure and pedicure Total time of service: 40 minutes Whenever I get a manicure and pedicure at a new location, I look for a few things: 1) Cleanliness 2) Friendliness 3) A wide selection of nail colors 4) A sense of "me" time, meaning it's not rushed! Princess had it all and more. Why "more"? Because of Ly! She added a special touch to the experience, due to her awesome long massage and sense of humor and attention to detail. The nail colors were all color-coded, shiny and clean. This is one of the first signs on the overall cleanliness and upkeep of a nail salon. They had 3 racks side-to-side full of high end nail colors -- even had OPI colors that just came out the day before. Their colors are not only up-to-date, but they are top of the line and well kept. Didn't get Shellac, but they had a huge shellac color selection. When I first walked in, there was no bombarding fume of nail chemicals that made it hard to breathe, like some other nail salons. I was greeted immediately, and my services started right on time. The massage was very relaxing and long -- not rushed through. They did my manicure and pedicure separately, which is something I prefer when I am not in a rush. Ly was more than happy to choose between a few colors I was stuck on. They did my mani first, then pedicure. When I sat in the pedicure massage chair, I didn't have reading material -- but Ly was on top of it. She immediately asked me if I wanted a magazine. Saying "yes", she brought over multiple choices. Pedicure was great. When Ly started applying nail color to my toes, she was three toes in when I realized I didn't like the color. Without hesitation, she took off the color and had me pick a new one. Ly was more than happy to remove the old color and prepare for the new color choice. The overall vibe of this salon is very warm, friendly, professional and happy. All of the staff here, including both of the men were cheerful and looked professional. I personally want a good value for my nails, and $25 for a shellac manicure (including a hand massage, if it really makes that much of a difference to you) is a DEAL in this city. I've never waited more than 5 minutes, although I do recommend a reservation. I am VERY picky about who I will go to for a manicure. I decided to check out Princess Nails just to see what they had to offer. I walked in, saw their price list and thought it was worth a shot! I asked if they had someone available for a manicure and I had to wait maybe 5-10 minutes. The staff were very friendly people and my manicurist did a phenomenal job - he was so meticulous! I mentioned that I used to get acrylic nails and two different staff people there told me I didn't need to (though they certainly could have made a lot of money off of me if they convinced me it was a good idea) and even gave me compliments on my natural nails.
