On a whim, decided to walk in for a much needed pedi. Was kindly greeted by Tamy, with a hello and smile. She skillfully gave the most relaxing massage, taking away the stresses of my afternoon. After experiencing that, I decided to go for the Special Combo Volcano Gel Pedi & Mani. So happy I did!! I have been there 2 times, it was pretty good i went again to get my nails done and the lady sat me down looked at my nails, then she went to go do a pedicure and i waited in the chair for a good 15 minutes. Then the male technician came the first time i ever had him. He was very bossy and was rushing asking for my inspo pic. I gave it to him he seemed a little confused and i wasn't sure it was going to turn out good. He was doing my acrylic and put the tips on the sizes were different and i kept saying they aren't the same he just kept it. He was very rough with the drill and cut my skin and very rough on my nails. The nails didnt turn out at all the same. The french tip was very very crooked and my thumb only half of the nail got polka'd dots on them! 50 dollars plus tip and they looked horrible! The male technician did horrible. I had been to this salon in the past and had no complaints. But... This is my first time getting my nails done by the male technician. This man rushed through and did not listen to what I wanted. I asked for a nude color, just to hear him say that, that color doesn't go with my skin tone. He then proceeded to give me this hot pink color, I told him numerous times that I didn't like it, but he continued to apply it. These are the worst nails EVER, the application is wonky, I asked for an oval shape and instead got a triangle and to top it off he cut my skin on my thumb. Not saying not to go there but if you do, don't make the mistake of letting that man touch your hands. read more

I just had a terrible experience here with my pedi. The man doing my nails could not understand my request to be careful about the quick on my large toe, and so I just agreed for him to file it instead of cut it. He shaped my nail crooked, and kept getting frustrated when I asked him to please straighten it/fix it. He ended up still cutting my quick by filing too aggressively, and he also cut the corner of my toe. He was way too rough and would yank my feet to place them how he wanted. I thought he was going to rip the toe part out of my flip flop because he put them on my feet before polishing and kept pulling my foot away from the shoe. The polish was old, and so it was a thick mess and he had to keep trying to make the streaks smooth out. It took much longer than necessary. He had longer nails, and his one thumb was filed to a point, and he would dig it into my skin as he held my skin back to polish my nails, so at this point I had had it and said "do you not have newer polish?" And he snapped back "this is new!". Usually when it's newer you don't need to keep adding thinner (which he did). One of the other employees asked if everything was ok as I left, and I said no, and briefly explained why I was upset. She just said my "name is Tina. Ask for me next time and I'll take care of you". I should have just left at the start when he couldn't understand what I was requesting and got irritated. I was extremely polite and nice when asking what I wanted. Upon arriving at home, my husband noticed that he even left a hair from the brush he used to clean the edges in the paint! So now I have a brown hair caught in the polish. My toe is still very uncomfortable after an hour later. I won't be going back. read more

Updating to say... my daughter went to Lavender because a family member got her a gift card. The male technician was extremely rude to her, refused to listen to her and she sat in the chair CRYING while he finished. She gave him the gift card, he was suppose to charge only $5 to her credit card and instead charged $50 (more than her nails were)!!! He then refused to refund her and left. UNACCEPTABLE customer service - so not ever go to this place. read more

Update: I still love the massage chair, but the customer service was lacking. I got a basic pedi and I guess that doesn't come with top coat. Right after she was done with my paint, she walked away and didn't say another word until it was time to pay. My mom got hers done too and was booted out of her chair for another customer. There were plenty of open chairs and as my mom was letting her toes dry, her tech told the next customer to sit down in her seat. Um she was still in it. Also a gal came in and showed the tech her gel was peeling after three days. The tech basically disagreed with her before redoing them. I'll be going elsewhere from now on. If you need a pedi go here for the massage chair alone! This isn't your ordinary chair that you sit in while getting your toes done. This is an actual massage chair you get to use while waiting your turn. Plus they give you a cold bottle of water. They have a great selection of gelish colors which I loved. I have been there twice with a few years in between visits. Both times the main lady was a little rude (not sure of her name). Her desk is front and center nest to cash register. She doesn't look at guests when they walk in the door and seems a tad short with them when asking what they need done. I was a walk in this last time on February 6, 2023. It says "walk ins welcome" on the window. Main lady had me sit in a chair and I waited for about 30 minutes. I get it, I'm a walk in. No water in the foot bath while I wait. I just sit there. As she walked over to me I was hoping she was not going to be my nail tech...she was. She took my polish off my hands and feet. Then she looked at my hands and asked "why you nails look like that?" I had no idea what she was talking about so I replied "I was born that way?" After that I felt more uncomfortable and self conscious. BTW, my nails are fine, just not super slender hands lol. At one point while doing my nails she tells me "it better if you make appointment." I get it, but it was spontaneous decision that day. I replied "then maybe you should take down the walk in's welcome sign in your window." The nail tech next to her seemed super sweet and she looked at me with an apologetic look on her face. After she was done, she never did do an arm /hand massage like all the other places I have been to. Anyway, won't be back. read more

I got there I was greeted just fine however, after I was seated was when I got upset. I understand people take time to do their work so I wasn't afraid of waiting but I arrived at 4:41 it was nearly almost 5:30 before ANYONE started on my toes. When they did start i only had time for them to do the callous remover. I didn't have time to get anything else done. Not only was I forced to wait a ridiculously long time but they charged me 30$ for it! Very sloppy work, you can see smudges all over the nails. The techs were very rude and made me and my friend feel very uncomfortable. My mom goes here and brought me to get my nails filled for Mother's Day. She was paying so I agreed even though Diva nails is down the street and awesome. I got my nails done by Tina. First I found it weird the amount of acrylic they use to do fills. It's very scant! I'm sure my nails as a nurse will not hold up. Also I got them done yesterday with shellac and today the thumb has already peeled off. Also no one looks happy like many others have said, it almost feels like they are all prostitutes. What I mean by that is the two men that sit up front don't do anything but tell the women what to do, and the women always looks uncomfortable and unhappy. It's rare that anyone even talks. So went there last Tuesday July 21 2020 to get a pedicure and manicure. I got gel on my nails by a lady named Lyn she dis both mani and pedi! By Thursday half of it was peeled off. So went back Sunday when they had open availability went in at 1. So Lyn the same nail whom worked on my nails Tuesday wanted just redo the gel I said absolutely not clearly the product is old or cheap not sure didnt care wasn't doing this agian with gel. I asked to just do the dip and buff and I could pay the difference cause I don't have time to keep coming back for them to redo my nails. I was already frustrated to have to go back to begin with i paid $65 for mani pedi plus tip was $75 I gave her over 20% tip I gave her $75!!!! So she was going to take a client prior to me cause she wanted to rush to redo my gel even though I called and we established a time frame for them to fix my issue. So she was upset that she had to spend more time on my nails and not take the other girl that she put in her chair. So fast forward the entire time she is doing my nails she is being rude and slamming stuff around ignoring me while trying to ask questions. She stabs my thumb with her cuticle tool and then scraped it pretty bad with the gel removal tool says its fine. Absolutely not fine I paid for a service I want it fixed no issues and ill just never come back! Well dumb me should of asked for a refund cause here we are a week later todays July 30 2020 and now I have infection from a dirty tool she used on my hand, so now I'm on antibiotics!!!!!!! I will never go to Lavender again. I was a loyal customer, going every 2 weeks because the location was convenient. The service got progressively worse. The people were rude and ignore you when you walk in. I made appointments and they did not honor them. I sat while they took walk-ins. The last time they did this I walked out and have never been back. They do not use enough acrylic on fills and I broke nails often so I am happy to never go there again. They need to learn some customer service skills! read more

The place was clean and all the equipment was nice. The prices are average, and the options are good. It's even a good location. The main thing I think they need to improve on is customer service. The entire time you are in there they do not talk to you, but talk in their own language (not ever English) to each other. So you are just sitting there awkwardly staring into space while they talk. It always sounds like they are talking about you or other people. It would be nice to feel comfortable while sitting in front of someone. This was my daughters gift and it sucks that they ignore the people they are there to service. If your job is customer service, then your goal should to make the customer feel like they at least matter. read more

I have been coming here for years. I make appointments for the same tech, but it's not necessary. A spa pedi will cost around $22 unless you want a design. I also bring my own polish, but that isnt necessary either since they have plenty of colors to choose. On average the pedi will take at least 30 min, but if they aren't busy I feel like they extend the leg massage and I'm out in an hour. Weekends are busy so if you can make it during the week, you'll benefit from the slow time. They offer other services but I stick to the pedi. Your feet are important...take care of them read more

This use to be my favorite place to get my nails done but they have done down hill quick. They are rude and do not have good costumer service at all, the lady I had doing my full set acrylics was literally on the phone and kept doing other things while doing my nails. The nail polish is extremely diluted with acetone, I watched her put acetone in it. The nail polish has been chipping off and took 30 minutes if not longer to dry. It's been three days and two of my nails have already broken off, she also did a horrible job on giving me a coffin shape. They also charge you for everything, she removed the tiniest bit of polish and charged five bucks at the end. She charged five bucks for "long nails" the price is always going up. Wouldn't recommend, go to nail pros instead. read more

Linda is the best girl you can get at this place & speaks minimal English. If you choose (from their menu) an Express pedi - then it causes REAL problems - The banter between shop girls if you FAIL to get a 'FULL' pedi creates difficulties. They should REMOVE Express pedi from the shop menu. Express: Phone quote - $15. Express: When you get there - it's $20. Crooked! My Express pedi was: NO clipping. NO filing. BARE minimum soak in cool water - NOT warm. Lickety-split polish coat - and WHAM! girl "Nancy" made herself disappear into the back room without a "Thank-You" for coming or a smile!! Sad way to make NEW or RETURNING customers!! I like to give good tips to people that work on my feet, but not this girl. read more

When living on the east side I found this place, and thank goodness! It is a fantastic nail salon. They actually took the time to think of the decor on the inside! In addition, the area where the acrylic nails are done is closed off by glass and a door! That is awesome! Because of this you aren't overwhelmed by the smell of toxic chemicals when entering. The women working there are really nice and will talk with you. The spa pedicure chairs are massaging which is great and they carry OPI colors. The prices are comparable to anything else. I think the base spa pedicure is $25. Add-ons are five dollars (flowers, sea salt, callous remover). One of the nice things is the offer express pedicure and manicures for a lower price. They take cards, but prefer you tip in cash. They have an ATM on site as well. They do walk-ins but weekends can be busy so call ahead and make an appointment. I now live on the West side and will still drive all the way over here when getting a pedicure or manicure. read more

I made two appointments at 11:30am for my twin nieces - I wanted to treat them for their upcoming big event. They were both promptly seated at the spa chairs at 11:30am, but one of my nieces wasn't treated until almost 11:50am. It wasn't until another child who was having a spa medicure was sitting next to my niece did I say something, asking when she would be treated - the employee didn't apologize for the long delay, and sat down with my niece. The employees are very rude and do not know how to exhibit customer service. As I approached one of the employees to give her a tip for the services performed, she accepted the tip, didn't even stop to say thank you and kept on walking. No smile, it was as if I was handing her a baton in the relay. I should have taken it back. Maybe at the next employee training they should work on how to deal with customers. read more

I drive out of my way every two weeks for this salon. They are always friendly, if you are going solo there is usually not a wait. If you're in a rush, they offer express options for the mani and pedi which save time and cash. I like that they have a closed off room for acrylic nails so others do not have to suffer the smell. After my sub-par manicure which did not clean up any hangnails or cuticles. The tech simply wiped off the cuticle scissors with a wet paper towel. Will definitely NOT return! read more

I've been going to this place for years & recently the quality went down down hill. One day I went in with my sister & they told us it would be 30 min to wait. After 5 min of waiting they tell us to leave & come back in an hour? Everytime I get a full set it never fails that a few of my acrylics will crack & I have to come back more frequently. The last few times I got a full set or even a fill I was burnt by the drill & they push my cuticles so far back my cuticles will bleed & later on one of my fingers actually got infected. I hate making this review because this was my spot for so long but I will no longer be coming here & I recommend you go elsewhere. read more

I do not recommend this salon! We went on a Saturday afternoon and we had tried to call multiple times beforehand, but no one answered. We arrived at the salon and they weren't very busy. There were a few people waiting ahead of us, nothing unmanageable. By time we walked in the door and finished our (basic) pedicures, it was 3 hours later! Not one employee has any customer service! When we first arrived, no one acknowledged us until we starting asking questions 45 mins later! So besides no communication, ridiculous waiting period and rude staff, to top it all off the pedicure itself and as super lame and basic. I walked into the salon today because my normal nail salon couldn't take me and I am in desperate need of a Mani pedi. After a few minutes I was directed to a chair that had a plastic liner and already had a little bit of water in the bottom. I was assured it was clean water so I sat down and put my feet in. I watched the tech next to me finish with the client to clearly had toenail fungus. She then proceeded to take the tools she used on this lady walk over to the sink run them under a stream of water and go on to the next client with those same tools. GROSS!
