walked in at a slow time asked if they had time for full set, they stated yes and told me it would be 10 minutes. I waited 30 minutes. Then when I finally got on the chair these two ladies I'm assuming had appointments so the nail tech asked me in the middle of my set to step aside to help them out because it would only take 10 minutes which lasted 30 more minutes. finally got my set done to be charged $60!!!! for full set no design nothing special. I asked why so much if it's only $45 she said it was added for length and shape which she NEVER told me about up charges. NEVER GO HERE! If I could rate this salon zero stars, I would. I've tried to give this business a chance, but this is just getting ridiculous and I feel obligated to warn others. On multiple occasions, they have been rude to customer, including myself. They are very rough with your nails, leaving me with cuts and cuticle infections. Don't bother asking for any designs because they will turn out looking worse than a toddlers drawing (image attached for reference - the design I asked for, versus what I got). I'm not sure if management has changed, but the quality of my nails look worse and worse each time I go to Chic Boutique. The shape of the nails isn't even flattering.... Both of our "go-to" nail salons in Oro Valley were fully booked today (Sunday), so we decided to try someplace new. We were a little skeptical of this salon, which has a "3" star average rating. We made two appointments for 1:00 - and they got us in within 12 minutes of our arrival time. We spent the time selecting our polish color. We were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience - very courteous, professional, and good nail techs. My sister and I went for spa pedicures (mine plain, hers gel) and we were both very pleased with the results. This "chic" nail salon - conveniently located in the Wal-Mart shopping center - will definitely get our business again! read more

Went to get toes done with my mama for her birthday! Her pedicure was great but the guy that did my toes was very rough and cut my toe too short that I even started to bleed, not relaxing at all. Never ever going back! The man that did my pedi was so rude! I asked for square shape and I usually do look down every once in awhile to make sure it's to my liking but this was no where near what I asked for so i gave him more time to fix it without having to say anything and right before he was going to paint I asked again if he can make my shape square not round. He laughed at me and said this is what you asked for. I was irritated that he made me feel that way. After all that was done there were bubbles in my nails, and paint in my cuticles that were never cut -yuck! & For $50+ for the least expensive pedi-NOT WORTH IT Yes the products they used were great! The Pedicure area is loaded with beautiful new chairs and the manicure stations have been recently redone with all the necessary COVID precautions in place. They had an available appointment the same day only an hour after I called. The young man who did my nails was very fast and efficient. It took no more than one hour for this full set and it didn't hurt at all. Absolutely no complaints. Will definitely be returning in 2 weeks. Everybody in here is so nice. read more

Ugh! So frustrated with my manicure. I got some guy who was really quick and rough with my hands. My massage actually irritated my skin due to the convulsions at the hands of this man. Not to mention, when clipping my cuticles, he made 4 different fingers bleed!!!!!! Wtf. Stayed there under the nail dryer for two rounds, came home and my nails still aren't dry, so the point that I could actually take a paper towel and wipe off the nail polish. I guess if you go to get a regular manicure you better clear your schedule for the rest of the day???? My hands even feel dry AF seeing as how they are using some cheap ass bath and body works Hawaiian hand lotion. Never going back here again. Waste of my money and time. What's also strange is the guy was in the middle of painting my nails, then the "leader" of the salon spoke to him in another language and he just got up from the chair and left. Never looked back. I asked if everything was okay and she said she wanted him to do a pedicure instead and she would finish my nails? I felt like a piece of meat. It was extremely rude. He went above and beyond with massage portion and I appreciate his strong hands and therapeutic technique on my sore feet after jogging. I took my niece here for SNS, and the quality was awful. I don't know if it's the product or how was applied. I've had sns for years and love that it stays on for at least 3 weeks. We had to come back 2 times in 3 weeks to get sns here. She literally had 3 different sets of sns that lasted for less than a week before they began cracking and falling off. The initial time they replaced the set free of charge. The 2nd time they said it was our fault because my niece plays basketball...she has never played a sport. The lady was rude and treated me as if my goal was to get something for free. I was never disrespectful and simply explained my issue with the quality as an sns fan. My goal was to receive the quality of service I paid for while being respected as a consumer. If that's your goal, I recommend going elsewhere. read more

I have been going to this salon for a while, but the corona virus shutdown interrupted. I was a little apprehensive about going back, but was happy to see every precaution to keep customers safe was utilized. Masks, face guards for the technicians, and plexiglass barriers were in place as well as a spotlessly clean environment. I highly recommend this shop! read more

I was not impressed with the lady who did my nails. She sat in the first chair. She rushed the manicure and even forgot the massage. Then the "glitter polish" chipped within 14 hours. Poor products! The only reason I can give this salon 3 stars is the lady who gave me a pedicure was wonderful. However I will not be returning. read more

The staff was nice, but there was one guy who did my nails that was trying to rush. He was very rough and I ended up getting cuts on 5 of my fingers. I told him it hurt but he continued to do what he was doing. The other people with me said the other staff were nice. I recommend going but just hope you don't get this one guy. read more

I have been here several times, although not regularly. Mostly, I've been satisfied with the service and the pedicures, but this most recent time I left very upset and not happy. A man did my pedi this time, which I'm not crazy about but I was a "walk in" so tend to just accept who I end up with. He filed my heels so hard at one point I had to pull my foot away and tell him he was being much too hard. I looked at my foot and he had scraped away the skin. He then put something liquid on the area (which burned very badly) and applied a bandaid. He proceeded to finish the pedi, and I figured it wasn't going to be a big deal. I'd heal quickly and all would be well. But he never even apologized and I left feeling kinda awful. My one regret was that I tipped him, although was tempted not to. 1 1/2 weeks later, I still have a sore in that spot that has scabbed over but has not healed and causes me pain when I walk. I am treating it with antibiotic ointment and hoping it heals quicker. I also remembered that I went there once with a friend, and she had to tell the guy doing her pedi at the time to go easier because he was hurting her. I wonder if it was the same guy... I will never go back to Chic Nail and would not recommend it to anyone. I was going to call and talk with whoever is in charge, but the whole feeling I got while there makes me think they will not care. Heck, the guy who did my pedi is likely the "boss", since he had that sort of attitude. Stay away if you want a pedi without injury. read more

If you enjoy being held prisoner in a bowl of water waiting for over 30 minutes this is the place for you. The reason for this review is because this happened not once, but twice--which tells me it's their policy--not just an understandable accident. I called and asked what the wait time would be for a pedicure. "Come Now" they said. So, I arrived and was ushered to the bowl of water where I waited. and waited. and waited and waited. I got out of the bowl of water, dried my feet and walked out after about 25 minutes because I detest feeling manipulated, as most of us do. If they had been honest and said. This review will be in two parts...pink & white nails and pedicures: Nails - I've been going here for a few months because it's right by my office...always in the hope that they will get to know me and how I like my nails done, and "this time" they'll do it right. I've had 4 different technicians do my nails, and only Lily understood what I want and did a phenomenal job on my nails. But she's on vacation, overseas, so I gave them another try. Not even a week after my last fill, the pink started chipping and lifting, and I've broken two nails. I presume it's from using old powder...which it did appear to be so this last time. Unless Lily is there, I will not go back to get my nails done. Pedicure - I don't think anyone knows how to massage legs and feet...all they do is rub, and they do so with a hefty amount of salt scrub that actually begins to hurt. Once, the technician took the hot towels right out of the warmer and placed them on my legs without airing out and cooling them a bit. When I loudly said "ouch" and jerked my leg, she looked at me with a confused look. I pulled off the towel and barely managed to get an apology out of her, after another girl had to explain to her in their foreign language what happened. On top of that, only a couple technicians know how to do nice art designs. Others make it look like I had a 7 year old paint designs on my toes. It's just not worth it. I've asked around for recommendations, but no one really has a salon that they LOVE, so I'm on the hunt. Appointment at one today with good reviews...fingers crossed. read more

I've tried several nail salons around town and Chic Nail Boutique is a cut above the rest. As soon as you walk in, you know that you are in the "right place". All of the technicians are extremely courteous and you can tell that Nick and Trina value service and understand the importance of repeat business. I fly my 70 y/o mother out to visit from VA three times a year and I've taken her to Chic Nail Boutique on several occasions. They always ask about her and how she's doing - WOW!! They really care about their clients! You feel comfortable and relaxed in the salon. I've used them for mani/pedis and waxing and have NEVER been disappointed! Many salons have a very strong odor of acetone but Chic is extremely clean and sanitary. My technician's :-) name is Lily and she is amazing. Very personable and prides herself in quality work. I usually make appointments and she's always on time! Whenever I'm out and about I receive a ton of compliments on my nails; they are truly works of art! If you have the opportunity to sample her service, you definitely won't be sorry! read more

I moved to the Tucson area in June and needed to find a new nail salon. I have worn acrylic nails for over 30 years and am very particular. I like to have standing appointments for fills and pedicures with the same person. I visited over a dozen salons (didn't get any work done because they were either not clean or a weird atmosphere) Then I found Chic Nail Boutique! I have been going there every 2 weeks for a few months now and my nails are the BEST I have EVER had! I have absolutely zero maintenance (no lifting, chipping or cracking) between appointments. Trina, the owner, does a great job. She uses only the highest quality products, which cost more, but are definitely worth it. I highly recommend this salon! I will never go back. The owner was rude and flung my hands around like she was mad. When I asked her why she was so "abrupt" with me she got mad. She kept talking over me. Being fast is okay if you do a good job and don't man handle my hands. My nails are uneven and she did not bother to trim my cuticles.
