Snickerdoodle cookies. Trust me. Just order one. Even though the chocolate ones are right there... calling your name.... Don't do it. Get the doodles. They're amazing. Pretty unique food and overall we've had good customer service. We've had a few standoffish employees that took our orders, but they didn't last long and over time they got employees that were nicer to take their place. I always feel very refreshed after eating here and don't feel bad for drinking soda there because it's their homemade soda. read more

So awesome to find a place that makes flavorful and healthy food! I got the Paleo Bowl and the Pb&J smoothie both. They don't add any sugars or anything artificial to the smoothies. This was the first time I stopped in Laughing Planet, and I was pleasantly surprised! Despite a humble exterior, the indoor décor is bright and upbeat with a small bar to make the place feel like a casual hang-out spot. The guy manning the register welcomed me right away, and the kitchen staff whipped up my seasonal salad to-go in under five minutes. The food is very healthy, but not at the expense of quality or flavor--I didn't even realize until later, but I had a totally vegan meal on accident. The ingredients were all fresh (no wilting to speak of) and had great texture. My only complaint: The salad was a bit small to be a full meal. When I come back, I'll test out one of the heartier bowls or burritos. read more

Atmosphere is great, everyone is relaxed and very friendly, the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because they used so much cayenne pepper in a drink it made it so you couldn't have more than one sip. Give yourself time to peruse the menu; it has a LOT of options. Best of all each item can be tailored to suit your personal tastes. I ordered the tofu Thai bowl with kale instead of rice. I have a really big appetite and couldn't finish it. The garlic green beans are to die for and they have a wide selection of brews, cider, and booch on tap. We came in late at 8:40pm and had amazing, fast, and kind service even though they close at 9pm. We will definitely be back!! read more

The food here has been good every time we have been here. The ambiance (aka NOISE!) every time here is a meal killer. I guess if you think of it as a big food cart and get take out it's got merit. The other menu items sounds really good and I'd like to try other things, but that Thai bowl is just so amazing I can't seem to get myself to order something different. Laughing Planet is the guilty pleasure that you actually don't have to feel guilty about! I love their Paleo Bowl, lots of fresh veggies and meat. The sauce is pretty spicy (for me anyway) so I get it on the side and dip/spread it around as I like. Their smoothies are also really good. I usually get the strawberry banana, but they have a lot of others to pick from. Customer service there is always really good. Their employees are really friendly and the food comes out quick (considering how fresh it is). I go there often (a little too often to admit) and have never been disappointed - except one time when they accidentally gave me pork instead of chicken. But one little mix up in a dozen or so times is a good record as far as i'm concerned - so 5 stars! read more

It is definitely one of our favorite spots for a casual lunch or dinner. They have some awesome seasonal specials and their regular menu has a great variety to choose from. I love Laughing Planet! The Bollywood Bowl is my favorite. I get it with chicken and extra sauce. My kiddos like the Spanky Bowl and Spinach and Black Bean Burrito. I've been fortunate to work with Lane Pearson, the manager, twice to coordinate a Dinning For Dollars event. The benefits went to Juniper Elementary which raised over $1200 for our PTO. I like Laughing Planet and generally find the service there to be quite good, but today I was struck by just how rude the woman who took my order was. First of all, I was the first customer of the day and the only one in the place at the time when I ordered. Therefore, I cannot blame, the attitude on someone being overwhelmed in a lunch rush. The women seemed sullen and totally uninterested in being there. I ordered a burrito for my lunch and when a bowl arrived instead, served to me by the other employee working at the counter, I informed her I had ordered a burrito. She was great about it, but the woman who had taken my order rudely snapped from the other end of the counter,"You ordered a bowl". Not only was I sure of what I had ordered, I was simply flabbergasted by the defensive, abrasive attitude she gave me. There was no attempt to apologize or take any responsibility for the miscommunication. I get it--this may not be your dream job, but a modicum of professionalism, a good attitude or an attempt at providing good service can go a long way. read more

Went about 7:30 PM and was frankly quite disappointed. There was a very musty smell that hit you as you walked in, and I noticed mops and brooms sitting around the dining area. There were zero baked goods on display. My $11 special was not good: very small portions, dry rice, and lousy soup. The iced tea was good. But not a good meal, especially at that price. read more

While the food is good the service has a whole lot to be desired. Most recently we got chips with our food and was given salsa which we were told was mild and was horribly hot. Which in turn ruined the taste of a meal. Another time we waited a half an hour for food only to be told they lost our ticket. I was so excited when Laughing Planet opened in Bend. But what a let down. I have eaten there 5 times since opening and have had very inconsistent food. The veggies are NOT fresh. The black beans seemed to be used straight from the can - cold, mushy and slimy. I will not go back to try again for a few more months. Maybe they need more time to figure things out here in Bend. Flavorful food at inflated prices. At the price I paid for the Autumn Bento Bowl, I expected much more out of it. First the flavors were well balanced and seasoned tastefully, however for $10.50, I expected about twice the portion that was served and without the huge clumps of pork fat that were included with the shredded pork. For a restaurant that promotes itself on healthy food, not sure why they would let a dish out of the kitchen with that. It honestly felt like a child size portion as my 6 year old could have easily eaten the entire serving and probably would have left hungry still. If they want to stick around for the long term, they are going to have to consider working on their portion sizes as this is the 2nd time I have eaten here and experienced the lack of value in relation to their prices. Come on Laughing Planet, it's time to implement some change if you want to beat the odds for your location and the many restaurants that have come and gone in your location. Atmosphere is whimsical and clean. A little more attention to keeping the tables wiped clean would be great as I found a number of open tables but none of which I would sit at due to the residue and sticky mess from the previous patron. read more

Horrible experience at this restaurant. Going in with a Chritstmas certificate for $25, find out after already ordering 2 lunches and 2 drinks that your husband can't eat there. We went through the menu before ordering to try to determine if there was anything on the menu for his lunch. We were told that only one burrito had none of his problem food. Since we'd already paid with the gift certificate, when we were told that the guy behind the counter made a mistake, we said that we would have to drink our drinks and leave. We wanted to get our $7.00 back that was left over after we used up the balance of the gift certificate. A woman who claimed to be the manager but really wasn't (we found out later) told us that their policy was not to give any cash back but to put $7.00 back on the gift certificate. No amount of reasoning with her worked in any way. After trying to get some empathy from her , she said that we would have to leave because we were getting too angry & was going to call the cops. Gee, I got to eat 1/2 burrito hurry though my drink and my husband got to sit there with only his drink and no food for approximately 30 minutes. Then we were ordered out of the place. So finally the real manager came in and tried to diffuse the situation. My husband was given back his remaining $7.00. I am wondering if it was worth it to this establishment to fight with the customer over such a silly thing. We were only asking for our fair compensation when they could not in the future,give us the service that the gift certificate represented. read more
