I wanted to try most of the cocktails on their menu (their menu is very beautifully done) There is usually a short line so it might take around 25-30 minutes to get in but it is totally worth it. The service isn't great and they take a long time to take your order but the decor inside is pretty cool so you can spend some time exploring. We ordered a bunch of drinks - Slim pickins - wonderful rum drink - not too strong and very summery - it has the right amount of sweetness, absinthe and alcohol - great first drink to start the night Kali ma's doom - this blue marshmallow drink wasn't upto the mark, did not like the frothiness and the taste of it No doctor on board - this is a shareable drink - it had a very unique refreshing flavor - can't really pin the flavor profile but really yummy Bahama trauma - a sweet/cinnamony drink with a comparatively very high alcohol content - the flavor is great but it was a bit too strong for my liking Overall, a great place to get cocktails - with a date or friends. Cool spot: great unique drinks, talented bartenders and they nailed the tiki theme. However, this bar is very small inside so arrive early if you want a seat. We came early on a Saturday (by 8pm) and were able to snag some seats at the bar after waiting about 10 minutes. None of the tables were available, and shortly after we arrived it got packed and everyone had to stand in the crowded space. I heard they were limiting entry and they had a line outside. If one of us got up to use the restroom multiple people asked for the seat. When you walk in, pretty much what you see is the entire bar. There are a couple larger spaces for big groups in the back by the large skulls. The tables all appeared to be for groups of 4+, as was the flaming drink. I think there's about 8 seats at the bar. If we had arrived any later and had to stand in the small, crowded space, I wouldn't have enjoyed it. But sitting at the bar was OK because we got to watch them make the drinks. They did a great job with the theme of the bar and it felt classy, not cheesy. The decorations, sounds and smoke were pretty cool and it made you feel like your airplane crashed in the jungle. The bar area looks like the inside of a plane overtaken by the jungle. We sat in tall bar seats and the seat tops were like airplane seats, and even had arms that raised up. It was very dark inside. The drinks were all good, had unique ingredients, although a bit pricey. I also liked that they have a full menu of fancy nonalcoholic drinks. We tried 5 different alcoholic drinks and they were all good. Check out their drink menu online ahead of time or you can scan the QR code when you enter. I was on a tiki bar tour and had to make a stop at Last Rites! Last Rites is a chill, neighborhood bar that serves Tiki drinks. There is tropical decor, although it is light and doesn't feel totally integrated somehow. The bar area itself is cool but only had a few hanging skulls. Our drink, "No Doctor on Board" was meant to share but I'm not sure why. It lasted a few sips each and barely hit our brains. It did not hit us over the head with flavor, either. I'd try something else maybe. If you are looking for tiki, I'd visit Pagan Idol and Zombie Village first. What a hidden gem. Entering this place is entering another world and another time. It is decked out like you are stranded on an island from a plane crash. The ambiance is excellent and the drinks are AMAZING. We got the Long Goodbye and the Kali Mah, but were excellent cocktails that came with either a strawberry, or two pieces of watermelon and a toasted marshmellow. Drinks are the best tiki drinks I've had. Highly recommend the Kali Mah and the long goodbye. The bartenders were friendly, knowledgeable and fast. But the most impressive thing is the atmosphere. Wooot! Finally got to try this cool little tiki themed "speakeasy". We always pass by this place and there's always a long line. But my friends and I were trying to think of what to do next after finishing a movie and it was too early for dinner. So killing time at a speakeasy it is! Such a unique and cool bar! We saw this bar on Tiktok and of course just had to see it for ourselves. We stood by one of the post/standing tables which has hooks to hang stuff to start and moved to a table once it opened up. Menu is through a scanned QR code and servers walk by to take your order. The design of the bar is so fun, feels like a scene from Indian Jones meets an airplane crash. The bar is a hollowed out aircraft, there are a few small tables towards the front that have actual pane seats. The back of the bar has a skull along with mood lighting and periodically a smoke show. Drinks: Mano A Mano - Slightly smoky from the mezcal with notes of tropical fruit, a little spice from the ginger, and a good balance of sweetness Zombie Killer - one of my favorite drinks at Last Rites, tropical, a little boozy, great notes of coconut, pineapple, and citrus with a little warmth from cinnamon, it's sweet but balanced, pina colada vibes but lighter Kali Ma's Doom - if your looking for something besides rum, this gin cocktail is delicious, a little boozy and sweet with nice grapefruit and lime notes. The watermelon and marshmallow garnish are a fun twist. Service was good, a little on the slow side since the servers take your order you have to wait for them to swing by and grab your order. Drinks took about 15 minutes to arrive but given the busyness totally understandable. One of my favorite spots in the city for tiki cocktails. The atmosphere and décor really make this place special. Violet vixen ($16) - such a pretty drink! It smelled sweet and the lavender was there. Florally and refreshing, not too sweet and not too strong. Long goodbye ($16) - tasted like strawberry smoothie with cream on top and soda feeling from the seltzer. If you like something sweet, this is for you! Kali maa's doom ($16) - it came with watermelon and torched marshmallow and the sweetness of these two items paired really well with the drink. The drink is more on the bitter side, not as creamy as I thought it would be tho. Caldera's curse ($55) - this came with a fire show and a must order especially when you are with friends. I enjoyed the sweet and fruity taste of it, could taste the alcohol but it was not as strong as the Last Rites. A little similar flavor profile with the Last Rites but just not as spicy.
