This is an actually shrimp plate from Hawaii
Tormy L.

The place is so nice the tables everything is so clean . However do keep in mind that when you order garlic shrimp is nothing like a normal garlic shrimp plate . The shrimp is spicy and the menu doesn't say anything plus the plate didn't have any garlic . I wasn't sure at this point why this plate is call garlic shrimp . I will strongly suggest to change the name or tell your customers "the garlic shrimp" is spicy. Service is great girl was so sweet . I just wish they actually have da hawaiian garlic shrimp

Love coming here as a substitute to something fast like Hawaiian time. Delicious noodles and mac salad. The mac salad is a little more on the savory side than sweet like Hawaiian times. I absolutely LOVE the garlic chicken, it had the perfect combo of flavor and crunchy texture. Teriyaki chicken on the other hand was kinda mediocre to me. Portions are great, food truck also in the perfect spot to lounge in. Staff and service is always good even when busy

Stale rice

Breaded chicken katsu was great the rice though was disappointing. Please consider cooking it with butter or something to improve flavor. It tastes like 3 day old rice from the fridge. Just fix this and it's a 5/5.

Definitely not a kid sized portion, unless your kid is an infant...that doesn't eat much. ‍

Have always loved Lani Moku at the Beer Garden, so tonight we decided to grab takeout for our family from their new location in Springfield (the fact they had kid meals on the menu was a bonus!). However, comparing it to what we've had in the past from the food truck, this was subpar. Not a whole lot to explain, other than, it just didn't taste great, the garlic chicken wasn't very crispy and the noodles were pretty mushy. But most disappointing were the kid meals we ordered. We've never been disappointed with a kids meal from other local restaurants. It's always been more than enough for our 6 year old and 11 year old. We ordered the kids noodle bowl and the kids teriyaki chicken and rice w/Mac salad. First the noodle bowl was $5 and we were able to fit the entire portion into a one cup measuring cup. Second, the teriyaki chicken plate came with maybe 1/4th cup of Mac salad, 1/3 cup of rice and 4 small pieces of chicken. There was also a side of fruit included (the strawberries looked like they had been frozen). That was $7. Because of that I would not suggest eating here with kids if you're planning on ordering them a kids meal. (( I included a picture of the teriyaki meal. We had already scoped the Mac salad out of the container but you can see the portion size easily when comparing it to the small orange slice and strawberry pieces. ))

Kalua Pig + Garlic Chicken combo plate wit yakisoba base and salad side

I can't believe this truck only has 3 stars. This is the best truck in the beer garden! Their kalua pig is the best I've had from a restaurant in Oregon so far (for reference I've also had GrindWitTryz in Portland and GetSum in Corvallis). Their prices are reasonable and portions make sense for the cost. If I lived close by I would eat this every week.

Garlic chicken plate (comes with a choice of side; we picked Mac salad) $8...good deal!

3.5 stars Great price and portion of food for a relaxing dinner in a beer garden. The food trailer is located inside beer garden and offers Hawaiian/asian fusion food. We initially wanted to try their chicken katsu dish but since they ran out of katsu, we opted for garlic chicken along with choices of noodles and macaroni salad ($8) instead. Overall, the Mac salad was cool and refreshing with tasty flavor. The chicken was crunchy but was drenched in a sauce that was a tad too sweet..but if you eat the chicken with the sauce which it's still hot...it wasn't too bad. The noodles were way too sweet and to me..very passable though. It was a simple lo mein in my mind...except...way sweeter and looked a lil oily too. Overall, service took quite a while from the time we ordered to the time the lady brought our plate to our table...the portion was definitely good and big for $8 ...but if they could cut back on sweetness of the sauce and noodles...I think I would like it much better.

Garlic Shrimp Tacos!!!

I had the Garlic Shrimp tacos and they were amazing!!! The staff was so friendly day and the restaurant was very clean.

Kalua Pig was AMAZING. So soft that it felt like it was melting in my mouth. Perfectly seasoned and perfect texture. I wish I lived in Eugene so that I could grab some whenever I wanted. Chicken was also pretty good. I enjoyed the yakisoba option over the typical rice bed.

Pele beef. Good flavor but meat was dry and chewy.
Guy B.

Wow if you looking for some Hawaiian god to bring your taste buds back to the islands...this isn't the place. Ordered delivery tonight. Mac salad only mayo and noodles, no flavor, heavy on the mayo. Not Hawaiian. Mixed plate and the pele beef plates were equally disappointing. Not shoyu included, Teri beef and chicken incredibly dry. I really liked the pele sauce...only wished there was more.

Teriyaki Beef
Charlotte K.

This is what 14 dollars for a beef teriyaki gets you. I couldn't believe it. This is an $ 8.99 at best and that's being generous. The beef was pretty flat and tough and the amount of rice and noodles you get, especially when you are given the chance to swap the macaroni side with *extra* rice is laughable.

Dry, puny sized and hard as a rock side of rice.

One of our good friends is Hawaiian and therefore quite opinionated on the subject. Finding authentic and delicious Hawaiian food is a legit challenge. We walked up to the truck and were immediately greeted by the cashier. He was friendly and helpful. The first thing I noticed was his accent. He sounded exactly like the Hawaiian friend I mentioned earlier. So I thought this was a good sign. Both him and the other employee who gave us our food were super friendly and kind. That vibe and energy always makes me smile. My husband ordered the garlic chicken and I ordered teriyaki beef. They only had three options on the menu, and the third being pulled pork. Both plates came with rice and macaroni salad. Everything was delicious. Portions seemed a tad small for the price, but I really didn't care. I was full, and it was delicious. I text our friend about this business, and he said it is hands down THE best Hawaiian food in town. Which I definitely agree with. It is a small family run business, and I love it. Our friend said they've scaled back to only doing events like the spring game where we found them and catering, which makes me super sad. Because I would totally go out of my way to visit them and eat there again. I'd become a regular real quick. Despite the fact they only do events and catering, if you find them at an event you're attending, give them a try! It is so worth it. You'll thank me, I promise. Review 29 of 2025.

Visited Oakshire to get some food and found this Hawaiian truck we hadn't tried yet…read more We were excited to see a menu that was a little different from the other 2 Hawaiian trucks in town and a very reasonable price ($15 got 2 scoops of rice, slaw or Mac salad and a huge portion of the main protein). I tried the Cod Katsu plate because I have never seen a fish katsu before and was intrigued. This was a VERY good dish. The Katsu crust was super crunchy and held up well to the deliciously spicy katsu sauce and the juice from the slaw without ever getting soggy. The fish was nice and juicy and cooked perfectly. My only complaint is that there wasn't enough katsu sauce and I had to request more. My wife tried the Pork Bulgogi plate. It was very flavorful and tasty but the meat was so full of fat and gristle it was hard to eat. She tossed half the meat, that's why I took off the 5th star from this review. My fave was the mermaid skeleton above our seats. The drinks options were plentiful and they even had jello shots for a bargain price (we had a few of these for good measure!). I had The Monkey's Paw classic drink and another in our party had The Invisible Man drink. Each was lovingly prepared by the bartender who was super cool with the prep and conversations we had with him. I loved walking around and looking at all the decor on the walls and ceiling. There's a lot to see. There's even a door that leads to a courtyard with several food trucks ready to serve you. There is a stage near the entrance for bands and a small dance floor.
