The servers will make you pretty much anything you want, but there is also a rotating/seasonal menu with their featured drinks. Whiskey Lab has clearly put a lot thought and creativity into their featured cocktails, so if you're open to something new, then that's where I would point you. I opted for the 'You Can Call Me Rose', a spectacular melange of vodka & cognac (I know, right?) splashed about with a mango base and adorned with dried rose petal pieces. Oh, but what would an artisanal cocktail be with a spritz of rose water? Yeah, that too. Result: ZAM! a cocktail even my wife thought was spanking, and she is a hot 'no' on anything mango. I didn't tell her, of course... Great seating options if the weather if agreeable, either in the small courtyard area or in the apses, or even in the bar if it ain't too stuffy (Oregon summer, y'know). It is super moody and dark inside in the best way, and the atmosphere feels very hidden and intentional. We tried a bunch of the small plates and every single one was delicious. When taking our orders my stepdad said "oh you're starting with me?" Just because I think he wasn't ready and in a rude tone she says "well you're sitting in seat number one so I'm just going by order". She was rarely at our table and spent more time talking with the bartender and who I assume are regulars who were sitting at the bar. When our food came out she said "you also ordered the teres major right?" While setting it in front of me before I said no. She then said "oh yeah, I knew that was wrong before I even said anything" and that she had put my order in wrong. She said she'd have the cooks put a rush on it but you can't really put a rush on a steak. She brought out the sides that go with my dish so I wouldn't be without food but the green beans were incredibly salty and the mashed potatoes were dry and almost cold. When my mom offered to let me have some of her steak for the time being the waitress butted in to say "she does have food coming". When my steak finally came out everyone else was already finished eating but she did bring it out with fresh sides and the mashed potatoes were much better! Granted the texture and appearance was so different from the first ones it really made me wonder just how old those first potatoes were which grossed me out a bit. My steak was delicious and I did get a side of chimichurri which was the best chimichurri I've had in a long time. My sister said the sauce for her seafood linguini was pretty bland but she otherwise enjoyed her dish. My mom also mentioned the teres major was really good. The Skybar is located on the 5th floor of the building along with the Hotel lobby... uh okay. The staff are all very pleasant and accommodating. We went to the SkyBar and found it to be a smallish yet convenient place to wait for guests or visitors along with getting a drink or a bite to eat. The bar looks like it can accommodate about 30 people in the interior. There is a nice outdoor patio that can easily accommodate more when the weather is nice. The barkeeper was very attentive and observant, he took our food and drink requests at the bar and in short order, everything was presented. I had a Moscow Mule that I found to be a refreshing drink. Ginger beer, lime and vodka. An excellent combination. I also had an order of the chicken wings and fries. The fries were a normal shoestring variety, cooked well, nicely salted and came in a metal bowl. The wings I found to be outstanding! I don't usually get wings this well made unless I do it myself. I received 8 wings coated with barbecue sauce on a charcuterie board with the fries. The wings were served nicely hot. The meat was piping hot, juicy and tender. The barbecue coating was a hearty middle of the road sauce, not sweet or too smoky. It was caramelized perfectly for that sticky texture and flavor. Definitely a nice coating. Thankfully the bartender brought us a lot of napkins. The wings and fries made for a satisfying meal. The bar boasts a couple of gas fireplaces that make for a warming environment with a few semi private tables. There is a longer table for a larger group as well as several smaller tables and a few bar stools for game watching. All in all we found the bar to be a cozy semi-private environment, yet available to the guests as they come and go. All around, a nice meeting area and watering hole. We will book our family members for a stay here at the hotel. I'm looking forward to trying more of their specialty drinks.

I had the Marry Me chicken meal, which had a delightful cream sauce with spinach, broccolini squash, and sun-dried tomatoes. The cream sauce was deliciously sweet and the chicken was as tender as I've had in almost forever. I also had a green salad with blue cheese dressing, which was very nice. A couple of my friends had cocktails and they thought they were very good. Other meals to my friends included the Poutine Fries; The breaded pork chop (schnitzel) and the shrimp pasta. One person had the hard cider and enjoyed that, and then of course, at the end of the meal, they have these delicious little chocolates two of us had them and one person had the chocolate pot re crème. All of us loved every bite. And they have done away with including the tip for the meal. Our server, Ross, managed five gabby women, each wanting a separate check, with aplomb, grace and kindness.
