Food truck

There's a brand new Thai food truck in town, and it's definitely worth checking out! Cashew Gai is located in the food cart pod next to Big City Gaming. They have a nice range of dishes, including stir-fries, curries, fried rice, and more. They even have a yakisoba special. I ordered their tom kha ga soup, pad thai w/ chicken, and the signature cashew gai stir-fry (w/ pork) which comes with the "secret receipe" chili sauce. The total cost was $27 which was very reasonable considering the quality and portions. Everything was delicious and my dining companions agreed. The flavor of the soup might have been my favorite, coconutty and tangy with a little heat. I really enjoyed the stir fry flavors as well. And the pad thai did not disappoint! They have an interesting menu so I'm looking forward to trying out more dishes. The garlic-lover stir fry might be my next choice... And the people working were so nice and friendly, you can tell they really want to provide a good experience. Definitely stop by! Current hours are: Mon-Thu 11am-6pm Fri-Sat 11am-7:30pm Sun: Closed

Great food with a decent amount of portion! The customer service was wonderful--asked lots of questions with what I needed as I was picking up the order like what type of sauce (siracha, chili oil, etc-free). The pad thai was not sticky together after sometimes or dried up as most restaurants/food carts are. Their noodles were buttered with oil so they weren't sticking together. The pad kee mao's noodle was big and shaped like a square rather than a wide long flat noodle which was still delicious. Definitely suggst getting the sides of chili oil and adding it to spice up the dish! Would visit and order to eat here again! The location is by a pizza and crepes food carts. There's not really an area to sit down and enjoy the meal but great parking.

Pad Kee Mao and Spring Rolls

Presentation was great as I always eat with my eyes first and my mouth was not disappointed either!! I ordered the Pad Kee Mao and spring rolls. The beef was very tender and noodles were very well seasoned. I love the details with the cucumber and other veggies. The spring rolls are one of my favorites in town, especially paired with the chili oil sauce! Both items were so good and would definitely recommend!!

Good food, a lot of food for what you pay, they're great about making things gluten free.

Completely fucked up my order. I ordered tofu and they gave me chicken, good thing I noticed so I wouldn't get sick.

Fav Thai food so far since moving to Eugene. The pad Thai and chicken teriyaki are so good.

The two working were both very kind and helpful. I know nothing, literally nothing, about Filipino food. So I asked if any of it had seafood in it, as I don't eat seafood. The answer was no, so I just picked one of the four options, and pointed to the picture. I always feel like an idiot when I have to point at something to order it, but the woman taking my order reached out the window to point at the same one so we were on the same page. She was very accommodating to me and I appreciate that. I'm still not entirely sure what I ate, but it was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Prices were pretty decent too. I am full and still get to take some home to my husband. Ambiance is a food truck pod on River Road that I'd never been to before. It is bigger than I expected, with several other nearby trucks that I want to try. Would I return? Yes! Definitely yes. This friend has never steered me wrong when it comes to finding amazing small local business to support, and this is a great one. I'll definitely come back again. Review 32 of 2025.

But he agrees they were delicious! I had the taco trio which for $10 you get one of each of their tacos. My favorite was the pork belly taco followed by the tri tip and the alaskan cod. The pork belly was so tender and perfectly caramelized! The mango/peach salsa made my eyes roll back. The pickled onions gave the perfect acidic touch to the sweetness of the salsa and the savoriness of the pork belly. I loved that each taco was hefty. Each taco had a generous amount of toppings and sauces without overshadowing the protein. It makes you feel healthy while also indulging. It's truly well balanced. Each topping had a purpose. Please try them out and take a second to talk to them! Very sweet people!

We did get our order a little funky because they over-accommodated for an allergy, but definitely better safe than sorry and it was appreciated. My partner wasn't a huge fan of the Tri Tip, he said it reminded him more of Tex-Mex food and he didn't expect the flavor profile. He said his side of elote fries were pretty good. The cauliflower taco without dairy is pretty plain, the other tacos were accidentally dairy free, but weren't for me! I was told they were good, specifically the fish taco. The chips and salsa were good, it didn't seem like the mango salsa was fresh. I honestly think we weren't ordering the favorites, or maybe caught them on an off day. We also got 2 baskets of fries and a bunch of sauces. I was definitely partial to the chipotle, but the others were nice too.
