The flavor was so refreshing and perfectly balanced and especially loved that it came with an actual tea bag inside, it really made it feel like a quality tea experience. As former Bay Area boba addicts (BobArea), we've had our fair share of boba and tea drinks over the years, so we're not easily impressed. This one was exceptional. We couldn't stop thinking about it, so we came back the very next morning and ordered three of the exact same drinks! That's probably the best endorsement we can give. The owner is Chinese and very friendly, which instantly made me feel like I was in the right place. I tried the green grape boba tea, and it was delicious--very well balanced. You can really taste the tea, and the grape flavor is fresh and not overly sweet at all. Super refreshing. I also had the mango sago (楊枝甘露), which paired beautifully with the coconut. Again, not too sweet, which I really appreciated. It would be perfect if there were mango chunks, but overall it was still very satisfying. Yummy drinks overall, authentic flavors, and definitely a spot I'd come back to if I'm in the area again.

The achilles heal of many boba tea establishments is using weak tea as a base. I'm happy to report that, although they do offer various smoothies and non-tea options, Bobahead's oolong tea is actually good tea and I would happily drink it plain. I had a bit of a sweet craving today, so I chose to make it 100% sweet and add boba and lychee. It was the perfect combo of sweet and bitter and I couldn't stop myself from slurping it all down as soon as I got home. Walked in, stood there, looked around and wasn't sure if we take a seat, wait to be seated or order first. Turned out, it was the latter. Got the butter/corn miso ramen and the chicken karaage curry. They both came out looking amazing. The broth for the ramen was not boiling hot. In fact the pat of butter did not melt. It took a few minutes of me mixing it around to finally make it melt. The corn was not heated up either. It was room temperature. Overall, the corn and butter ramen taste wise was okay. The chashu needed to be marinated and cooked longer for it to be melt in your mouth. Mine was tough. The only thing that saved my dish was the noodles. They used the thicker wavy noodles, which I enjoyed. The chicken karaage curry came out steaming hot. Quite a contrast to the ramen temperature. The karaage was cooked crisp but needed a wee bit of seasoning. The curry itself had a good taste and it reminded us of a local mom and pop place in Kauai.
