Above and beyond customer service by Tina and crew. Patiently waited for decision on two separate visits and accommodated emergency by allowing floor model to be taken home. Friendly. Good prices. Will be back. read more

Disappointed with their quality check of products before selling. We bought among other items a 14"" crystal pendent light. On installation we find one lamp isn't working. When contacted all we got is " how sorry they are" and want to replace the bulb if we take the defective bulb to them. We were so delighted. We will elsewhere for our future purchase and we won't recommend this shop to anyone read more

I recently bought two chandeliers. One glass piece was broken during shipment. I went to the store in Dublin and was greeted by Lisa. The broken glass piece is on back order and will take two months. Lisa immediately made a decision to help me by giving me the glass piece from the floor display. (Thinking outside the box!) Then she'll order one for the floor display so I don't have to wait. Problem solved. Wow! That's refreshing! It's been a while since I received superb customer service! Thank you Lisa! You're amazing! I'm now a fan of Lamp Plus! read more

Walked in and over to where the ceiling fans were. Mary asked me what I was looking for and the size of my rooms. Then made recommendations. I was out the door with 4 fans 20 minutes later. I was so impressed! read more

I purchased a Lamp Plus outdoor light fixture on Amazon that arrived without the glass installed. After a few minutes of trying I was afraid I would break the glass since it didn't slip in easily. I called the Dublin Lamps Plus and they said to bring it in and they would install the glass. They did the installation and repackaged the lights for the trip home. It was outstanding customer service. Thank you! read more

I ordered a $300 chandelier from the Dublin Lamps Plus and was given a delivery date 2 weeks out. Later, I got an email saying delivery would be 6 weeks out. I called customer service and was told I could go to San Mateo and pick one up. This option was not given to me at the initial sale. The customer service rep said he would call San Mateo to confirm they had the item and promised to call me back that day. He didn't call so the following day I called customer service again. I was told there was nothing to indicate that the call to San Mateo was made. I later got a call from customer service apologizing for not following up as they "were very busy." They offered me a 10% price reduction for my trouble. They called San Mateo and learned that their computer was wrong and they didn't have the item. I was offered the display fixture but I said if I was going to take a display item I would go the Dublin store. I talked to the Dublin manager, who offered more excuses. He offered me the display model but when I asked the price he said it was $300. I asked for a discount since it was a display model, not new, and he only offered me the 10% I already had! I canceled the sale and will never do business with this dysfunctional company. read more

Very knowledgeable assistant helped me on the floor. They have a ton of selection. Once you step in you're overwhelmed. I went through the entire store then went back to compare things. Helps to have pictures of the space you want the lamp to go in. I see how shopping here can be a never ending story of comparing items. If there is such a thing as too much selection...it is this place! read more

Spectacular customer service! Went to Lamps Plus today to get a ceiling fan and was greeted by Catherine. She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic, helpful and fun. Everyone else working in the store were also super nice. We ended up buying not only the fan but two other lamps as well and we will most definitely be going back! read more

I am surprised I have not reviewed this before... I have tried to purchase lighting here, but have never found exactly what I was looking for. Several years ago I re-did the lighting in my bathroom, and found nothing that suited me. Admittedly I was trying to match the fixtures I already had....I am sure it all depends on what you are looking for, as they have lots and lots to choose from. Recently I wanted new lampshades for my chandelier, and was very unimpressed with the quality of the items they had....fortunately I came in to see, and did not order online. Good quality lampshades are hard to find. I am very independent, and don't need allot of attention, but I never had any acknowledgement of my existence in the store during my half a dozen trips here.... I have had much better luck at the now defunct *Expo* an off shoot of Home Depot. P.S Got a sweet note from the manager...pretty impressive :-) read more

We have been so happy working with Rachelle regarding our new outdoor house lights and bathroom mirror that we ordered today. She is very knowledgeable, helpful and personable about each of the products that we inquired about at Lamps Plus. Additionally, Rachelle was super helpful and knew her stuff while helping me to evaluate outdoor Water Features/fountains we are considering for our new landscape project. Who knew Lamps Plus had water features/fountains!? Then, on a day when Rachelle had well deserved time off. Francis, her manager, was also extremely helpful, knowledgeable and great to work with, as was the rest of the staff that I interacted with. Thank you, Rachelle, Francis and team at the Dublin Lamps Plus! A great neighborhood and pet friendly resource! read more

One of the Best Lamps Plus Stores I went too (compare to Pleasant Hill & San Mateo locations)..... Who knew Lamps Plus not only sells Lamps, but also; - Dining Tables - Dining Chairs - Rugs - Wall Art - Pillows - Sofa I bought a few things, but I will have to say the sales associate is very pushy to close a commission... Scene 1: When do you think you will want to buy this chair? I said once I measure my space. Scene 2: Here is my card. I can call you to remind you. I said NO. Scene 3: Sales Associate stated Sale will be over this week. I later found out the sale is over on May 22nd and its only May 3rd.... BYE Felicia! read more

I purchased a ceiling fan from these people and from day one I told him that something was wrong with it and they kept telling me that it was the wiring, I had a certified electrician come to my home and he determined that there was nothing wrong with the wiring and he determined that the capacitor had failed and even showed it to me how it's swollen and extremely hot. I called lamps plus asking them if I can purchase a capacitor and they referred me to their technical support number which I have called more than 7 Times and left three emails and still have not been contacted back, if they sold a better product I wouldn't have this issue. If these are the products that you sell you should help the people that spent their money at your shop. read more

I really appreciate the customer service. I needed a oversized lamp bracket and called all of the Tri-Valley electrical supply and hardware stores. No luck. My husband and I stopped by Lamps Plus on Sunday to look at some track lighting and chandeliers for our new house. We were impressed with their abundance in inventory and great customer service. At times the selection was overwhelming, but it's always better to have more versus less options. We were greeted upon entering, and was told someone would be with us shortly. Although it was an hour before closing, the store was full of customers. I suppose it gets busy during the summer because of renovation projects. Mary S was helpful in giving us all the options available for our home, and was not pushy with sales. I was even able to pick up a chandelier the same day! Overall, we had a pleasant experience, and will be back for more lighting for our home. read more

I'm an independent contractor and I suggested to one of my customers that she could use Lamps plus to obtain 5 ceiling fans that she wanted installed in her home in Danville, CA. I have installed scores of ceiling fans from various sources on all types of ceiling surfaces but never in my career have I experienced such frustration installing such inferior quality fans as the ones obtained from Lamps plus. The sales staff discouraged my customer from having anyone but their own in house installers install their fans and for good reason. 3 out of 5 fans had serious problems. After my attempts to install all five fans one was defective and would not run at all. Another 2 would not balance and had wobbles that confounded my various solutions for balancing fans. My customer had to have the official installers come out and to my surprise their solution to correct the wobble was to drill numerous screws into several places on the fan's framework to prevent it from wobbling. While this was a unusual procedure, requiring signifigant time and drilling along with being a bit of a MacGyver type hack, it did work. The third fan was declared defective and a new fan was ordered. As a long time professional having worked everywhere from a timesquare hotel to private schools, I am now embarrassed and feeling apologetic to my customer. I lowered my fee causing me to loose money on this job in an effort to make amends. These fans were poorly made and the directions were needlessly confusing containing instructions for several models in one manual and separate instructions for separate components conflicting with the manual. I'll never send another customer to Lamps plus. read more

Been doing a total remodel of my late mom's condo for the last year and am getting to the point of crazy! I was looking for bedroom lamps and had very little idea of what I was looking for. I spoke to Catherine and she was extremely helpful about focusing me. We looked up pics of things I had just purchased on Etsy and after much discussion, I was able to settle on the perfect sconces. I cannot wait to have the electrician install them. When that happens, I hope to post pics. Thanks so much, Catherine!! read more

Worse customer service ever! I dropped by the Dublin store to look at lighting, gathered information, returned home to measure, etc. The next day I called inan order which was in stock at the San Francisco store. After several days of checking my order status online, I called the Dublin store looking for an update as the order hadn't moved from the "placed" queue. The store personal passed me back and forth, no one able to provide order status information, telling me to call Federal Express to see when it would be delivered. There was no shipping information, no tracking number, nothing to indicate the order has shipped. I was supposed to get a call back with information, never happened. The next day I called the San Francisco office myself to track the progress & was told that the shipping person had gone home for the day & no one else had access, someone would call me the following day, never happened. I called again, got the run around, no one was able to verify shipment, was told that the shipping information had to be retrieved from the San Diego office, someone would call me back, never happened. Next day I called again, was told that the order would reship, then received 2 text message with 2 different Federal Express tracking numbers. Spend literally days on the phone with Federal Express & tracking online only to be told that the original shipment could not be located & could not be determined lost. The 2nd shipment never left the San Francisco office, a shipping label was created, never shipped. Now it's been nearly 2 weeks, I have told them to issue me a full credit. Wonder how many weeks & phone calls this will take. WORST SERVICE EVER! Lamps Plus has zero custom service, no follow through and consistently provides incorrect information! read more

I could not recommend the Lamps Plus in Dublin more highly! The sales people are friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and their customer service is over the top. I recently replaced several light fixtures in my home. They were so helpful as I tried to figure out what fixtures to get, as I am not a great decorator. :) There was an issue with one of the chandeliers, and the response I got from Tina, who is the Manager, and Glencora, an associate, far exceeded my expectations. They jumped right on it, and resolved the situation quickly and professionally. They have gone above and beyond to provide me with excellent service, and have always been eager and willing to go the extra mile to ensure I am a happy customer. And I am a VERY happy customer!!! read more
