He was patient and mentioned that he loves bacon. That's a bonus. Service was good, staff was friendly, decor was as to be expected at a pizza spot . Pizza showed up and damn, talk about loaded with toppings! Crust (gluten free) was super crispy on the edges but soft enough throughout the rest. Well... I tried to be nice and give the benefit of doubt all of 2023. I have been coming here since 1999. Something has changed the past 1-2 years. I have probably come here for dine-in during lunch break or some other period of time during lunch, to eat either a pizza or sandwich at least 30 times the past 6-9 months. I have actually upon payment hit the tip button for either 18% or 20% each time. About 20-25 times I have sat there eating pizza out of a box or paper plate, or a sandwich wrapped in paper with a plastic bag on the table. All while there are other fully grown adults over 21 sitting at tables eating with porcelain plates, platters, and dinnerware. Maybe 1-2 or 3 times they have actually served me dine-in with dishes, dinnerware, or whatever you would consider dine-in materials. That's probably $60 I shouldn't have given them. I also am not middle-eastern, but have a middle-eastern appearance. It's a slap to the face. Like what is the staff trying to say? "Thanks for the tip, now take the box and walk out of here". This is solids bar style pizza. It's my favorite in town for chewy flavorful dough, cheese, and sauce. I mostly get the pizza here. I've tried the tater skins and the wings, both solid choices. They NEVER have chicken fingers when i order. Supply chain issues I guess. Customer service is always good. Like they get BUSY and they don't have a lot of staff, but you can see they earnestly try to get things out quickly without losing quality. Order ahead or expect a wait if dining in. This Lamppost Pizza conveniently located off the 5 and Culver is tucked in the Heritage Plaza center. Super close to the Supercharger station for Tesla owners. And a simple arcade to corral the little ones. The pizza contains all natural ingredients and a quaint bar attached for the dads enjoyment by Backstreet Brewery locally brewed. It gets a little rowdy in here with the local high schoolers around lunchtime but the staff does a great job of keeping them in check respectfully. They support a bunch of local ball teams and are stand up guys. Some of the guys have just brash attitudes but they mean well. We'll be back for more. read more

Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment or just glutton period. I enjoyed my linebacker personal pan pizza. It's probably the fastest way to grow a spare tire but I enjoyed every bite. The pizza was piping hot with a crispy crust with toppings overloaded - just the way I like it. Pizza for lunch seems like a cheap way to go but lamppost is actually not. I want to believe the quality of the ingredients or maybe the real estate is preventing them to price it lower but I was there for lunch on a promo. The service was incredibly slow, they didn't provide utensils until we got up and tracked someone down after being ignored for a while at the front. All of this would be fine, I wouldn't care. But then comes the cheese pizza. First bite - it tastes like meat. Clearly it was cut by the same slicers as everything else. I've basically grown up on Lamppost Pizza since I was a teenager. With the recent renovation of this plaza, somehow the interior still looks to be the same as I remember way back in the day with the addition of a nice outdoor patio area. Pizza here has always been solid, but what makes this one really stand out? The brewpub connected to it... AKA Backstreet Brewery. I didn't have much appreciation for this one probably until I was out of school and 21 of course because lets face it... who doesn't love pizza & beer! I had recently visited back when I was visiting home in December and had stopped by after doing some Christmas shopping with my brother and my cousin. What'd we get? Large pizza half Garlic Chicken (Mozzarella & Parmesan Cheese, Garlic Butter, Chicken Breast, Bell Pepper, Onion & Tomato) and half Best of Seven (Mozzarella Cheese, Pepperoni, Ham, Mushroom, Bacon, Onion & Bell Pepper). We also did a pitcher of their Set Sail IPA, a lighter bodied IPA with citrus hops and ABV of 7%. Initially we wanted to go for their Tomahwak Double IPA but they don't offer it in pitchers rightfully so being at 9.2% ABV. Anyways their pizzas are delicious if you like a thicker buttery breaded crust. Typically when I'm here it always half Garlic Chicken and half whatever else who's with me wants. Solid spot to watch football on weekends. They do have happy hour is everyday from 3:30pm-6:30pm. And as I recall from my bill all large pizzas seem to always get an automatic $3 off. Sure, it usually arrives lukewarm, but so does pretty much all delivered pizza. 8-10 minutes in a 400° oven, and it is hot and quite delicious. The toppings are of good quality and of very generous quantity. The crust is chewy and pretty darned good. This is the best delivered pizza that we have had, and we've tried many. Let me first say that I love their pizza...when its on. My last order was bad but worse was the treatment by the manager. I had ordered 3 pizzas by phone and asked if I could have a crisper crust. They said ok and took the order. When we got the pizzas each one was so overcooked to the point the tops on one was burnt (not significantly but bad enough). Called the store and mentioned what happened. The manager knew our order immediately and was quite rude saying that we ordered a crispy crust and told us there was no other way to get a crispier crust on their end. I wish we knew that the derivative of asking for a crisper crust would be a burnt pizza before they accepted the oder. Had that piece of info been relayed and it came out burnt after we said its ok then thats on us. But he was rude and didn't offer any solutions. We were stuck with pretty much inedible pizzas. I had asked if he could redo the pizzas to which he said ok and then hung up on me. I called back and cancelled the order and asked for a refund because he didnt give me confidence that the pizzas would be done with "care". This stores pizza has been very good in the past, one of my favorites. But the attitude of the manager was unacceptable and the lack of communication initially was lacking on their end. We have ordered for crusts to be crispier in the past from other pizza places and the issue we experienced never happened. Overall good but nothing spectacular quality pizza with the crust a bit more on the thick traditional side. However used to like coming here for the brewery and they had the equipment in the bar area which made the place more unique. The exterior is deceiving because it looks so unassuming, but it's actually huge inside with tons of tables and plenty of seating. We came here with my daughter's soccer team for their end of season party over Memorial Day weekend, and it was packed! So many other teams were also gathered together celebrating. It was noisy, loud, and a little crazy... but the perfect place for a bunch of kids because nobody cares if anyone's being too loud or disruptive. We get a one free pizza coupon through LA galaxy for the end of season party, and it's pretty smart of Lamppost to partner up with organizations that way because obviously one pizza is not going to be enough... and the rest of their menu is pricey for average food. It'll cost you $30+ for one of their large specialty pizzas, a large bucket of wings is $22, and most of their individual salads were $12. Regardless, I think a place like this should exist in every neighborhood. A place where everyone can gather and hangout with some beer and pizza - old school style. read more

Ordered for the first time from Lamppost and never again. Pizza looked nothing like the pictures either. Up for 12 hours sick to my stomach. And i paid 62$ for that. I will never risk it again. I have been ordering pizza from here for quite some time and it was my favorite until today. Ordered the pizza pictured and when I called to ask for a reorder because it's burnt they told me it's the high quality cheese and they will always look like that. I call BS. Take a look at the other pics compared to this and you can see for yourself. They wouldn't send a new one however they did refund the cost of the first one and told me to order again. After being hung up on twice that is not going to happen. I have had customer service issues with this location before and I'm done! Adios Lamppost! This is really good pizza, but it's better to pick it up than to choose delivery. The delivery guy the last three times we have had it delivered just leaves the hot pizza on the cold porch and doesn't knock, doesn't ring the bell, doesn't text, nothing. I have tried changing the settings on the app to make sure it says to text, tried changing it to make sure it says that we do NOT want contact-less delivery, so apparently the delivery person just thinks it's funny.
