I ordered a 7 pin connector, when it arrived I was told they close at 5 pm, which is a tight time frame for me as I get off work downtown at 4:30. I asked if they would be there at one after five in case I couldn't make it in time. "No we'll be gone before then". No, ifs, and or butts, make it by 5 or we'll wave to you as we 're leaving. That's not customer service. Then, when the price mentioned appeared to be more than I was quoted they said it was not returnable, as it was a special order (a hitch store couldn't use a 7 pin connector someday?) I left with the connector because by then my credit card had been run. I do not recommend these people. read more

When I called for a quote for a trailer brake assist device, the Lampert service person answered my questions and offered knowledgeable advice. The install took about an hour, and I was charged the quoted price. When I got to the trailer dealer, the brake light and turn signals from the truck to the trailer didn't work. So I took the truck back to Lampert and they took the time to retest the connection, even though all they had added was the brake assist. Back at the trailer dealer it still wasn't working, so I called Lampert back and they told me to bring in the trailer and they would figure it out. And they did. They took the time to try a variety of solutions and found that adding a specific adapter made everything work. They spent over half an hour troubleshooting an issue they didn't cause and only charged me for the adapter. I found both the customer and technical service to be beyond what I could have hoped for. read more

We are new to towing a car behind an RV and needed some guidance as to what we would need to purchase and how to hook up. We heard from friends that Lampert was the place to contact. We were more than fortunate to deal with Miguel who not only assisted us with getting our tow car ready but then gave us a hands on lesson in the parking lot on how to hook up. It was obvious that Miguel enjoys what he does and he certainly does it well. I would not hesitate to recommend Lampert and Miguel. By the way, I did comparison shop prices on-line for the parts Miguel said we needed and Lampert's was spot on. We could not ask for better service and felt the prices were fair. read more

The folks at Lambert Hitch were great and provided a wonderful customer experience. While traveling across the US, we ran into trouble with our brake controller (not purchased at Lamberts) and burned through two sets of brakes. Working on a recommendation from Nolans RV, we called Lambert and they found a way to get us scheduled the same day we arrived in town. Two hours later, we had a new controller and a charger line for our deep cell trailer battery. But, beyond this, the customer care and service personnel were ALL both friendly and knowledgeable -- stepping us through the process and then spending time orienting us to the new brake controller so we'd have no problems when we hit the road. System works very well and we couldn't be happier. Nice to know that there are still businesses that do quality work and find a way to brighten the day. read more

This business is now a joke do not trust there judgement. They are hacks. Do not let them touch your wiring. They get upset and take it out on your vehicle. 2005 Dodge Ram with 31,694 miles on it. Didn't order the plug and play wiring harness and used scotch lock on my wiring harness. Didn't install the chain hooks down in the low rips of the bed. So much for a hide a way hitch. Now I have four extra holes in my bed. Hacks. No responsibility taken what so ever from Jason. And he broke the steering column by slamming it into gear to get it out of the shop. It's amazing how fast you can ruin a business, that your mom and dad built. read more

Lampert has installed hitches and base plates on our cars and trucks since the 90s. We have never had a problem. When we broke a blue ox tow bar, they gave us a loaner so we could move our vehicle. When we needed base plates for a new car, they were able to get them and install them in just a few days. Great place friendly, knowledgeable people:) read more

I went to Lampert Hitch to purchase a new 5th wheel hitch for our 2015 Ford F350. Salesman advised that B&W doesn't make a hitch to fit the new Ford OEM hitch platform (they do). He recommended a Reese Elite 5th wheel hitch (also an excellent hitch), and offered to sell me a used one for half price. I asked the age of the used hitch; salesman said he didn't have any idea. Upon salesman's recommendation, I purchased the used hitch for $700, which they installed and I left. Later I noticed that Lampert installed a Reese SIGNATURE hitch, not an ELITE, (the Signature is less expensive) and noticed a sticker on the hitch giving a manufacture date of 2006. Why didn't the salesman give me this information in advance and ask me if I still wanted to purchase the hitch? The more I thought about this, the more it bothered me. I returned to Lampert for a refund. Salesman said the deal he gave me was the best deal he gave anyone last week (really?). We did receive a full refund (thank you), and decided to move on. read more

I would give them no stars. We went to them at the recommendation of the dealership where we bought our truck for the installation of a hitch. Not only did they incorrectly install the hooks for the safety chains, they incorrectly wired the wiring harness for the electric and did extensive other damage to our truck. When we called back to explain our dissatisfaction we were told that this is how they do business and have for x number of years and that we were in the wrong/they are not going to fix their work or make right the damages they did. All we wanted was for the them to make amends for the damages and fix the wiring issues but given the response we got from the staff and the "owner" we will not be returning to them and we will not be recommending them to anyone either. We have had to take the truck elsewhere to fix the wiring issue in order to make our new truck safe to drive and haul trailers with. This is not how you operate a business and treat your customers and I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointment with them. read more

When we took it camping, not only did the furnace still not work, but the entire solar/lithium battery system did not work. We took it back to have the problems addressed in April. Robert quoted an amount of $5400 to revamp the system and to install two new awnings. After 18 unanswered phone calls and several visits to the shop, we were finally contacted and told it was ready. When we showed up to retrieve the camper, we were shocked to discover that the new invoice was for a total of over $13,000. None of this was ever presented for our approval. And just now we tried to roll out the awning, and it is broke. Unbelievably terrible experience.

It's sitting here in my driveway with those beautiful alloy wheels (I popped for the extra cost matching spare tire) and it is just a thing of beauty! Every single one of my friends (all heterosexual, some professional truck drivers) swoon with jealousy when they see my new aluminum trailer! Shallow, I know, OK, here's some substance. I really hate the ramps on other trailers of this type, they are flat unsafe at highway speeds, I don'e care what anyone says. No so my beautiful Primo! The folding ramp is genius, very secure when folded down and works as well or better than the ungainly ones when extended. And at highway speeds I don't have to constantly be thinking disaster is about to happen. Now the tires: very impressive, 15" steel belted radials - as good as the tires on my new SUV. The front wheel swinging out of the way when hooked up is genius also, one less thing to worry about. Bottom line, you can hook this baby up, load it with a reasonable load, get it all bungeed and strapped in and take off for a 1000 mile trip without having to once again about think your trailer. And it's 100% aluminum, 25-30% more expensive than wood and steel but worth every single penny. Most excellent! Now the dealer - Ralph was most helpful, sold me the trailer I had already picked out but helped me in several "beyond the call of duty" ways, even agreeing to store my paid for trailer at their facility for more than a month to help me with my moving schedule. Again, ask for Ralph, he is also most excellent!

Well, I asked him if they could do that and he said he's too busy and can't leave his coworker alone. Ok, that's fine. A customer after me offered to help. He said the employee is not being helpful but I get it, they were busy. I came back later when there was only one person in line and he still didn't want to help me even though I waited long enough and it was my turn. He proceeded to take the next customer so I just went out in my car and signed up for AAA and spent money I did not have today. A few minutes later, that employee that refused to help me was outside helping another customer- a guy with his car. Soon after that, he was working on his own car. They were not very helpful or nice at all here. Prior to this my daughter's car broke down and my pipes broke so I was on my way home to meet the plumber. I wanted to cry but I have to be the strong single mom that I am. I just wish men like this were more accommodating when they see older ladies that could use the help. They seem to help who they want. Discrimination at its best. This is a terrible store. I didn't make a scene. I just left. I really don't need to beg anyone to do their job. If they don't want to help and are just there for a paycheck, karma will come back around to them and their family. Never going back to this store again. Wasn't pleasant at all.

Finally get back out on the road, and when we arrive at our destination the next morning, we noticed a scraping noise when hitting some low bumps. Looked under the car and see that part of the guard underneath is held together with a zip tie! (Second image + video) Absolutely insane work. Completely disgusted with the shoddy work and the lack of attention + care.

These folks have their stuff together when it comes to anything RV. I just bought a new 2018 Dodge Ram 1500, no one was able to tell me w/o wanting money to research it for a brake assist controller or the price they quoted me was outrageous. I was told to call Lampert Hitch, they scheduled my appointment within a couple days & gave me an estimate over the phone. I think my appointment was for 11 a.m. but couldn't remember so when I showed up at 10:10 a.m. they took my keys for my truck & installed controller & did a very professional job & had me out the door in less than a hour. Great experience with Lampert! I went to Parker Trailers to have a brake controller installed... a few hundred dollars later they want $400-500 to re-wire the truck so everything worked great, I told them to kick rocks and went to Lampert Hitch where, I believe Nick, immediately looked under my truck and found the wires Parker Trailer had missed. He fixed Parker Trailers' $400-500 issue for $40. Everything went well installing 2 inch receiver hitch on my vehicle until I got back to Eagle County and my home. I tried putting on my 2 inch bike rack but it wasn't even close to fitting. Of course Lampert says they'll look at this and fix if necessary but that does me no good. I had to pay someone else to grind down a hanging bit of steel at the front of receiver hitch. This company should make sure the 2 inch receiver they install, is really 2 inches before they install and charge people for it. read more

I walked in with no appointment with a wiring harness problem. The reception person was friendly and said let's have a look at it. The mechanic told her what was needed and I told them to" get'r done." I also had them move the mounting bracket to more favorable position. I was in and out in 30 minutes with a first class job and pleased with my decision to give them a try. I own by own business and this company runs there business like I try to run mine. We had the absolute pleasure of working with the staff at Lampert Hitch. We had a Blue Ox tow system installed on our Mini Cooper Hardtop to be towed behind a Winnebago View. The workmanship was excellent and we are very happy with the final outcome. When we picked up our vehicle all aspects of the install and "how to" properly use the system were clearly explained and demonstrated. Pick up the phone and book these guys right now! They are top of the industry and perform quickly and to the highest standard. They were expeditious about getting my work scheduled and then finished it lickety split. They have a comfortable waiting room with wi-fi and just made it so easy to get a hitch installed on my vehicle. In the past 10 years Lampert Hitch has installed three hitches for me, each with good quality products and accessories and great service. This time I had them install front and rear RockHard bumpers on my 2014 Jeep Rubicon along with a battery disconnect and Blue Ox tow brackets and electrical connections. Lampert Hitch is always my go to company for Hitches, and Bike Racks, and Plows they are always kind to us and give us the best customer service, We never have any issues with there installation. Lampert Hitch is very competitive in pricing and I will never go any where else. We are also getting a couple trucks set up for plows this year and Lampert will be the company we use again. These guys are the best, after a horrible experience with Uhaul where they tried for 4 hours to put a hitch on my car that obviously wasnt made for it and drilling holes in my frame, Lampert installed the proper hitch in 40 minutes. Prompt, courteous service and a great recommendation to a little italian restaurant across the street. Prices are competitive but more important to me, customer service still lives at Lampert hitch! read more

They put a hitch on our Subaru Outback. Did it in record time and did a fine job. Miguel showed me how to use it, how to lock it and gave me some other good advice regarding having a hitch. I would recommend Lampert for this service. Also, their waiting area was clean and peaceful - did not have a blaring television so I was able to enjoy a brief read and some coffee. read more
