My scooter was having trouble idling and was bogging dow when I engaged the throttle. I tried fixing it myself and ended up wasting a lot of time watching youtube videos and reading scooter forums. Finally, I gave up and had Matt (super friendly) from Rolling Wrench come out. He quickly diagnosed a problem with my carburetor. I paid extra for their mini package because it really needed a tune and lube up. So in an hour and a half he had my original problem fixed plus the fluids, cables, tire pressure, and more. He even cleaned and waxed the body. It now runs better than when I bought it 5 years ago. This is great service by any standard. However, I have to say I've had negative and unfriendly experiences dealing with a local competitor, lets call them Tragique Scooters. Although Rolling Wrench's labor cost is a little steeper, I'd now pay it any day. read more

Ordered thurs night. Friday when it didn't go out I knew I was gonna get perked around. Wednesday they finally called around 5pm to tell me the engine ordered was damaged and they'd refund or give me a "deep discount" which was never disclosed even when I mentioned twice. So, like I told them, my 7k van engine blew from a bad/counterfeit part online. My truck is down for injectors. My scooter was my backup. And I spent 165 dollars more than anybody else on the planet expecting the pros you pretend to be on YouTube. I'm a vet on disability and everybody and their brother wants a slice of my pie without doing a damn thing to actually earn it. And it's disgusting. I can get my money back, order a new engine and get it here quicker than they took to own their trap. I also worked for myself and am 8 months sober due to the fact that I don't act like you. LOVE this place! It is so fantastic that they come to you to repair or maintain your motorcycle - or, in my case, scooter. Because when something isn't quite right, I really don't want to try to ride my scooter the 10 miles to take it to the dealer. Matt came out a couple of years ago to do begininng of season maintenance on my scooter. He was so great and took the time to try to show me how to do everything on my own in the future (even though I knew it wasn't going to stick and I'd much rather leave it to the professionals). This year, Jake came out for beginning of season maintenance and he was just as great as Matt. You really can't go wrong with either one of them. And, as a single woman, I felt comfortable having both come to my house, which is very important. It can take a while to get an appointment if it's a busy time of year. For example, this year when I called the first available appointment was 3 weeks out. But, they will call you if there's a cancellation and get you in as soon as they possibly can. In my case, it did take the full 3 weeks, but again, it's worth it as opposed to dealing with the hassle of getting my scooter to the dealer. Prices are very reasonable. In fact, I think prices are even less than going to the dealer. And, if you check in on Yelp there's a 15% off coupon, which is very cool! Roll on, Rolling Wrench! I'll be contacting you every year. Matt and his team are awesome and I'm planning to be a lifetime client. Sometimes the best way to know about a business is when things don't go perfectly. I learned that Rolling Wrench is there when you need them and they earned my trust, appreciation and respect. My Vespa had been sitting all winter and I contacted RW when it was having trouble starting. They came out and troubleshot it in less than a minute so I decided to also do a quick tune up. They got my scooter up and rolling and took it for a few turns around the parking structure to make sure. Everything was running great and I buzzed it on a quick errand and then parked it. The next day I took it for a series of trips and after about 20-30 minutes it just stopped on me. After a few tries I got it started again and then a few minutes it did the same thing, then again, and again. Eventually it wouldn't start. This is where my story explains why I will ONLY use Rolling Wrench in the future. I contacted Matt and explained what was happening and where I was stranded. Within a half an hour he had one of his team at my site trying to get me on the road again. The gentlemen who came out was friendly, helpful, and worked his tail off trying to get it back up and running for awhile with periodic check ins with Matt on his phone. When it looked like the issue might be bigger than a roadside fix we figured out a way to get it to back to their location and he kindly dropped me off. Matt and his team then dug into my scooter and kept trying every different item that it might be. They kept me posted all along the way. It turned out to be a very very unusual issue that only occurred when the engine heats up enough. We ordered anew part, got it fixed, they tested it a ton to make sure, and I got it dropped off at my doorstep. They did an incredibly fair price for everything stating that they always stand behind their work, which was FAR more than any experience I have had with the big boys around town. The reality is the time they spent digging into this issue to find what was wrong was above and beyond what they needed to do based upon just a service call. I had only done a basic service with Rolling Wrench, and then when things got MUCH more complicated and not the ideal scenario their whole team was heroes. They came and rescued me and my Scooter on the side of the road, they went above and beyond to diagnose a very uncommon problem, and treated me more than fairly in pricing. I am sure they spent way more time on this repair than anyone expected, but they stood behind their work in every way. It is so rare that a business is this exceptional. I'll be happy to continue working with Matt and his team and I can't recommend Rolling Wrench enough. This is an honest, skilled, hardworking team. This is a cool concept...passionately executed with class. Matt and his wife own and operate this small mobile motorcycle repair company. It's not a repair shop where you drop off your bike and come back later to retrieve it..it's a mobile "rolling wrench" that comes to you to do the repairs at your house or garage. That eliminates the need to locate a trailer or make other arrangements to get your bike to the site if'n it doesn't quite run right. Here's the twist: you can watch and learn how to do the repairs yourself and save yourself money on the same or a similar repair in the future. I've used them twice, once for a carburetor rebuild and once for a 10,000 mile service including brakes, fork oil, chassis lube, etc. One time Matt himself came out and the other time his employee (Jake) came out. I found both of them to be competent (I'm no stranger to the garage, I just lack experience with motorcycles and some specialty tools) and educational. And I saved money over the estimated cost for the same services at a local dealership. My only disappointment: I live south of C-470, so I pay a stipend for their travel beyond that point. But they showed up on time both times they came, ready to work each time. They are both clean and professional and I was not at all apprehensive about having them in my garage (where most guys store many of the things to which they're sentimentally attached) or in my house, though neither entered my house. During one appointment (it took all day due to the number of services I requested) Matt had a minor tool SNAFU and couldn't finish one repair. I told him not to worry about it, I'd handle it myself, later. He elected, instead, to go out and replace the tool and return to finish the service. Rolling Wrench uses a menu board pricing scheme. In most cases, you can anticipate the cost of your care, up front. For instance, the full service is $500 plus parts (estimated at about $150) and my final cost was $650...no surprises! read more

After a disaster of a time buying a new scooter (chinese knock-off type, that arrived with some problems, walked it across town to the one shop that was willing to look at it, walked it back home when they weren't comfortable trying to figure it out, and just feeling defeated) I found Rolling Wrench. The shop recommended Rolling Wrench to me, as they have experience with 'off-brand' scooters. Turns out they were right. Matt came out to my place with his cool set up in his little smart car. Seems that Matt has worked on anything with two wheels (and happens to own several scooters, including my exact model!) He immediately zeroed in on the problem, had all the parts (including a brand new battery, that I really needed) and topped it all off with changing out my fluids and a few other small but important upgrades and a ton of education. This guy rocks! Matt was very aware of my time and money - as he always outlined any cost of a part, and seemed genuinely interested in making it a good deal for the both of us. Best experience with any type of mechanic work I've ever had! First of all, the mechanic comes to you!! So for other like me with one vehicle (that isn't a truck) who have to beg a friend with a truck for help or rent a truck any time your scooter isn't running... THIS IS THE PERFECT SOLUTION!! And the mechanic are so nice and talk you through what they're doing so you can learn too! It's seriously awesome and I'm so excited to have found this amazing company! We bought a scooter that wasn't running and were super nervous to drop it off somewhere because our knowledge of scooter mechanics (or all mechanical work for that matter) is super limited and we felt super vulnerable to overspending on services that weren't necessary. The mechanic that came to us (Matt I believe) was so helpful in teaching us the basics and giving us tips for trouble shooting in the future. He was very conscious of our budget and discussed the cost of everything. Not only that, he also said things like "you can do this, but if it were my scooter you could skip it this time..." So we felt very confident in the decisions for the work performed on our scooter... No guilt to do everything under the sun , just objective information and an honest opinion! Galileo would have revised his theory of heliocentrism had he been alive in the time of Yelp. my world revolves around yelp, the most powerful and practical force in the universe. it is the central authority from which all truths emanate. a local honda dealer is unwilling to do a valve adjustment on my 1985 motorcycle because it is more than 10 years old; this is a shockingly common practice in the world of motorcycle dealers. they referred me to another repair shop which i chose not to use because of negative reviews gleaned from the internet. turning the the Oracle of Yelphi i am directed to Rolling Wrench, a local independent cycle and scooter repair service. they will come to my place, let me watch while explaining what and why they are doing, charge me less, and be nice. they have an easily navigable website with various service costs clearly listed and priced. turns out they can also order and supply parts. matt had a bit of down time and spent 30 minutes with me on the phone discussing some maintenance and parts i need. i just ordered a new chain and front and rear sprockets for $119 + tax. the dealer quoted $140 + tax. significant difference. i can pick them up or for $15 they will be delivered to me. while my user experience is only 30 minutes of phone time i feel obligated to champion businesses which provide such a satisfying customer experience. do not hold my 4 star rating against them. it is just that i cannot give 5 stars until my transaction is complete. ok, transaction complete. 5 stars. read more

I had RW come out to my work and service my Honda Metro which needed a tune-up and was running a bit slow. The tech walked me through everything he was doing and we decided to change the roller weights to give it a little more acceleration. Unfortunately I wasn't satisfied with the results and called in to see if there were any options. Matt (the owner) came back out and personally made sure that everything was done to my satisfaction. But above everything else, they were incredibly friendly and interested in sharing their knowledge so you can care for your scooter properly. I feel so much more confident owning and enjoying my bike. The mechanic was very professional and, again, very patient. What they don't mention is they won't work on older bikes - you know, the ones that break down. When I explained that my Yamaha model didn't change at all during the three years by which she was refusing remote assistance and that I just needed a little help getting it to catch and back home (no tools at bike location), she said too bad that she and her husband had made that arbitrary rule, no exceptions. Wouldn't even try. Isn't that the point of this kind of thing: to help get a bike going when you break down away from home and don't have the stuff to fix it yourself? This was my first scooter repair experience with Rolling Wrench. It could not have been better and more opposite from another repair shop in Boulder. Matt came out, explained the entire repair to me, what needed to be done, and fixed the bike with my understanding exactly what went into the repair and why. The other repair shop talked down to me, didn't fix the issue, and still charged me more than what Matt did and I needed to haul my scooter to and from their place.
