These guys were awesome. We took our car to get a tow package "elsewhere" and they did the hitch but they couldn't do the electrical, even though they had it for 8 hours. They muttered something about it would void the warranty. Then we took it to the dealer. After 4 hours they gave up. At least they washed the car. They recommended Lambert Hitch. I emailed them with the situation, and they almost immediately responded, saying what we needed and what it would cost. So we made an appointment and took it there. The people there were amazingly friendly and helpful. I asked how long they would be, and they said it would be about an hour and a half. They called me almost exactly in an hour and a half, and they did what they said they would do. And the price was exactly what they had quoted me. These guys were awesome. read more

In June I scheduled a hitch installation with UHaul that was delayed for over two months due to supply issues--totally get it, but never received updates or calls. I finally gave up and asked for some quotes from local businesses on hitch receiver installations (to carry a bike rack) for my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. Completely shady interaction; taking my business elsewhere. I stopped in to see about a hitch install on my car, and potentially to also buy a bike rack. First off, when people weren't masked up (as is currently required) I should have just turned around and left, but for some reason went ahead to ask about what I needed. Then when we started to schedule the install of a hitch, I was told I'd have to pay an additional delivery fee for a part since they didn't have it in stock. It seemed odd to me, but wasn't that much, so I still figured I could stomach that. But then when we went to discuss rack options, the salesperson insisted that the rack I wanted was $100 more than the price tag on it said. Any of those individually I probably could have gotten past, but after thinking about the combination of all 3; I just can't bring myself to do business with this place. read more

I received an appointment rather quickly. The was hard wired and first ran to connect via the hatch back of the Jeep. I had to request the wiring be ran through the floor and next to the hitch. The hitch is so low because it wasn't put through the bumper. When I called to find out why the hitch was installed so low and why it didn't go through the bumper, I was informed they don't install hitches like that. I was not aware of this information ahead of time and not happy with the install. read more

I purchased a plow last November had two take it back twice cause the wiring was done wrong and had a problem with my headlights this year the clips broke holding the headlights wiring on the plow so the plow caught the wiring when turning the plow went and tour the wiring out the headlight took it to Lambert and the guy behind the counter comes outside to look at my truck and tells me seems like this truck has been hear several times for the headlights it might be a farther drive but will be going to a different snowway dealer. read more

DON"T EVEN THINK ABOUT GOING ANYWHERE ELSE! Support these guys. I bought a used horse trailer and was getting the ever annoying "Check Trailer Wires" message on my truck. Told them to replace all the wiring if needed. Chris and the team at Lampert figured out it was the dead trailer brake component. Replaced with a new kit, new 7 point connector, packed wheel bearings and replaced brakes. Actually told me the wiring was good to go. They could have easily replaced the wiring and told me the old stuff was bad. NOPE! Now that is integrity. Trailer is good as new. Great customer service and communication - actually called me half way through the day to give me an update. Dropped off and picked up on the same day! I am so happy that I went to this business. I recently stepped up my game with a German car and found out after purchase that adding a hitch for my bike rack is a bigger deal than on my old Subaru. The dealership wanted $2,000 to mount a hitch, feel free to go back and read this sentence again. Ok, so i checked around and U-haul out east offered to do it for a fraction of the price but their Yelp reviews are frightening. Lampert did it for about $350 for both labor and the hitch. Discussed installing a trailer hitch on my new car on four separate occasions with Lampert's staff, as I was nervous it would be damaged so wanted more details and assurance that the hitch would fit without issue. Despite multiple detailed assurances, the hitch did not fit, and in the process of trying to make it fit my car's bumper fascia was trimmed without my knowledge or permission. Manager/owner Jason stated that trimming is required on half of all installs ("Didn't they tell you?!"). My question exactly, so I asked why they didn't disclose that key piece of info during the conversations I had with his staff. Answer: "Because we train our salespeople to downplay trimming so we can sell more hitches!" Wow. Owner/manager Jason offered to replace the fascia, but then later when I accepted his offer, he became agitated, and accused me of miscommunication. He also reamed his front desk staffer for the "miscommunication", only to then drag the hapless chap in front of me and my 8 year-old daughter to say his story didn't match mine, implying that one of us must be lying. Rule number one in business - the customer is always right (especially when they actually are!). Lamberts has installed 3 hitches for me previously no problem, so I was disappointed by their failure to disclose key information and then blame the customer for said failure. Lamberts seems great if nothing goes wrong, but don't expect them to have your back when it does. Professionalism is lacking, they treat their staff badly (at least on this occasion), and they won't take responsibility for their errors. Best to take a pass. read more

We told them not to worry about the wiring, but they're very safety-conscious and fixed the wiring anyway without extra charges.
