Disappointed by Lack of Transparency and Follow-Up Support We had a CURT hitch installed by The Hitch Corner on our Toyota Sienna. The installation itself was done professionally, and the staff seemed knowledgeable. However, we quickly ran into serious clearance issues--scraping on driveways, speed bumps, and uneven roads. When we called for help, The Hitch Corner admitted this is a known issue for Toyota Sienna vans, yet we were never warned about this before purchasing or during installation. That lack of disclosure was frustrating, especially because it seems they've encountered this exact problem before. To make matters worse, they charged us to remove the hitch, offered no reimbursement, and refused to buy back or even credit the part--despite it being almost brand new. If you're driving a low-clearance vehicle like a minivan, be sure to ask very specific questions before purchasing. I wish The Hitch Corner had been more upfront about known fitment issues and more supportive after the sale. read more

Was sent to Hitch Corner by a buddy. I stopped in after trying to call a few times. They got me estimate on the CRV for a tow package. They were all in at $400 and said that sounds good. We scheduled for the following Monday and dropped the car off. It was done in a few hours. Work went great and looks great. Hauls great too. The day before a month long trip I decided to install the load distribution/sway control setup that came with my camper. At 4:00 pm I figured out that the shank was as the wrong size for my vehicle. We purchased our first popup camper to be towed with our 2016 Highlander. We had to get a hitch installed so I gave Geo a call at Hitch Corner. He explained to me exactly what I needed. The price was reasonable. So we made an appointment the following week to get the trailer hitch installed. I had an appointment to pick up the trailer that same afternoon. So I was in a time crunch. But Geo was able to get it all done on time for me to hit the road to get our new camper. The install couldn't have looked any better. After connecting the trailer and seeing the sag on the rear suspension I brought it back to Geo and he suggested a weight distribution hitch to correct the issue. We made another appointment and he was able to get it all done. Took two visits to get the Kuat installed correctly on our Tiguan. During the 1st visit the manager was incredibly kind and responsive, took less than the quoted time. Did have to return as the Kuat bike rack was installed incorrectly which hindered it from working properly. Horrible. Don't ever go to this place - they do shoddy work and don't stand by their work at all...Bought a certified pre-owned vehicle from a dealership and as part of the deal had the dealership put a hitch on the vehicle - they paid for Hitch Corner to install the hitch because the car maker does not make a hitch for my car...it took Hitch Corner all day to put the hitch on and when we finally were called to pick up the car it had pieces that were not attached correctly and were sticking out of the car WHICH I HAD TO POINT OUT TO THEM. The technician literally laid down on the asphalt in the parking lot and was putting pieces of my car back together and apologizing. Three months later, I return from an hour long drive and part of my car tail light is missing...I take it into the dealership and they claim they won't cover it under warranty because clearly when the hitch was put on the tail light pieces were not installed back on my car properly - AND NOW OTHER INTERIOR PIECES ARE MISSING TOO - which the dealership pointed out (I did not realize they were missing) - I returned to Hitch Corner and they said because it was purchased as a used car they can not prove that the parts were there and properly installed in the first place so they won't cover their work...I now have to pay $700 to fix all the broken pieces from Hitch Corner's mistakes... read more

What a clown at the front desk. Purchased a brake control and wiring harness from them 6 months ago and it went out while in the middle of pulling the trailer this last week Took it back to these guys and asked them to just let me connect a new device to see if it was the device that went bad or a problem in the factory wiring. He didn't want to "unbox a new one" and said i need to bring the truck in so they could track down the wiring problem. And of course pay for the diagnosis. And they cant get me in for a few days. Walked out, took the truck to uhaul, determined the controller was bad and all wiring was fine. They put in a new device for cost and sent me on my way. Front desk manager here has no concept of customer service. They put in a 5th whee hitch for me a few years ago. Technicians were awesome. But we wont be back. Next job goes to Lampert Hitch. Or anywhere else for that matter. After Harold's response below, that all sounds well and good and logical on the surface. The uhaul guy line tested the wiring in less than 10 minutes and literally had me on my way in 15. Your front desk person could have done the same if he wanted. Nobody else in the store at the time. But it wasn't important to him. He wouldn't be working for me in a service industry, but you go ahead and keep him. read more

These guys were great. They responded to my Yelp based request for a quote within 12 hours even though I requested on a Sunday. The quote was for a great price and they totally honored it - some of the other folks I contacted had add-ons - like tax and wiring harnesses that weren't in their quote. I arrived for my appointment a little early and they took the car right away saying based on previously scheduled work it might take a while and they couldn't guarantee a time. I didn't wait, but instead left with a friend who was waiting. 90 minutes later they texted me to let me know my Highlander was done. They did a GREAT job. Looks great and they left the screws and plates that were remaining from the mount in the back of the car. They could have easily kept those and I wouldn't have known. I'd recommend these folks. One more huge benefit of going here is their amazing store. They carry in a clean and organized way, every conceivable type of hitch, and hitch attachment you can imagine. It's interesting to just walk around the store and see all the clever and useful attachments available. If you need specialty items for your hitch this is the place. read more

Their prices are in-line or very close to the cheapest prices you can find on the web but their service more than fills any delta. The folks here are very knowledgeable and make sure they are selling equipment that is right for your vehicle/trailer combination. Really not happy about my install here. I found the hitch I wanted on Amazon for $100 even with prime (curt hitch II) . I looked over the PDF instructions for installation and It said about 30 minutes. I have all the tools needed. However, what i didn't have was time. I needed to pick something up that week end. So i decided to pay the $200 dollars to these guys for the hitch and install. It took them well over an hour and after standing at the counter for 10 minutes after my car was done I paid, then took a look at the install underneath. That's where I'm upset. They cut the holes way way bigger than they needed to have, they left the fabric liner hanging out and all torn up. This was a sloppy sloppy install. See pictures for reference. If they rushed that part, did they rush anything else important like the torque on the bolts etc? I hope not... read more
