Visiting from out of town and Sun HD was en route and being an avid "enthusiast" having ridden bikes for many years, I had to check out the local dealership. Immediately after pulling up to park, I was greeted by a fellow biker who works at this shop. Nice positive biker vibes! I believe his name was Ranger. Anyways, he explained where the new and used bikes were and what a phenomenal offering of incredible Harleys!! I've been to numerous shops and this has to be one of the largest I've seen. Three floors!! If I was local, I'd buy one that was calling my name! LOL. Pic below! Cut me a deal and I'll return to ride it back to Sac! Also, spoke with Adam who initiated a friendly conversation which is cool. Great HD shop! read more

I can't say enough good things about Sun Harley-Davidson in Thornton, CO. I was traveling through Colorado when my bike broke down in Silverthorne with a bad stator. I first contacted Avalanche Harley-Davidson in Golden, but they couldn't get me in for over a week. I then called around to the other Denver-area Harley dealers and mostly got voicemail. Within an hour of leaving a message, Brad from Sun Harley-Davidson personally called me back, opened up his schedule, and got me in the same day. Not only did they replace my stator, but they also replaced my clutch pack--all with a complete turnaround time of less than three hours, in and out of the shop. The service was fast, professional, and very reasonably priced. The level of customer service, responsiveness, and genuine care was top-notch. What could have been a trip-ending breakdown turned into a great experience. Huge thanks to Brad and the entire Sun Harley-Davidson team--you've definitely earned my business going forward! read more

Great staff in Sales & Parts! Always willing to go the extra mile! I would highly recommend Sun Harley ...

Thankful for Sun HD for being helpful to the long-distance rider. My 2003 HD Road King, my ride or die wouldn't start. I was one mile from SUN HD and almost 1500 miles from home, Atlanta GA. They sent Adam to pick up my motorcycle. Phil expedited my bike into service, the troubleshooting was on point. Bravo Nathaniel who found the tuner was the issue. He knew his stuff, took it out, rewired it to spec and it fired right up. It's a good feeling knowing the compression, fuel injectors and other components are strong. Was shopping for a new Harley 48. But with ABS. Went to avalanche Harley and almost bought one till I realized it was disc breaks. Bummer. Came to sun harley as they had this model on the floor. Steve our sales rep greeted us and remembered us from visiting last time and was very pleasant. We sat down and talked business for a bit. After some negotiating , Steve got me to the deal I wanted and we got it done! He replaced the recalled headlight and also cleaned our bike up. They got my bike shipped to my house that day. (Super quick) I had to finance a portion since my refund from the "almost" Harley deal hadn't refunded to me yet, but this didn't affect the sale. They got me the bike I wanted and it was a pleasant experience all around. Steve was a straight shooter and I appreciated his demeanor. read more

NO honesty or integrity from service team or management. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. If you like flushing your money down crap filled toilet, with no service, or spine. You're in the right place. July 2nd I set up a service appointment. Waited a month, after being lied to by Bob and Phil about my parts arriving, or ANY work being done. Didn't start the job until I showed up ready to take it away on July 30th. Two thousand dollars later. I'm left with ripped wiring on the handlebars, mismatched pegs, and paint overspray on my fender from bikes they cared about more. (See pictures) Don't bother with management. Gary will lie to you, ignore you, and perpetually be lost looking for a spine I'm sure he doesn't have. Also learn how to use your caps lock. Take thousand of dollars, and stuff in a clogged toilet, overflowing with waste. Would still be money better spent then at, Sun Harley Davidson. Thornton's crappiest Harley Dealership read more

Sun Harley Davidson was running a special promotion on St Patrick's Day so we made a point to stop in. The promotion was 40 percent off of their logo merchandise. As it turned out Sun Harley had mostly their wings logo in stock instead of the famous Harley Davidson logo (bar and shield) so we did not find anything to purchase that was on sale. We did purchase three shirts and two pairs of riding glasses. There were two women working the clothing side of the store and they were both super friendly. They offered suggestions and checked on us regularly with upbeat conversation. They made all of their customers feel like family. Sun Harley Davidson has a nice showroom with lots of inventory. There is a parts and service center and they talked about a calendar filled with fun events for the the community to take part in. read more

I'd been looking for a Pan America, and like most consumers I had spent hours pouring over reviews, watching videos, and trying to learn as much about the bike I was interested as possible. Consumers have access to a lot of product information, so when it's time to get pricing, we want pricing...which can turn into an overly difficult chore. I had visited 2 other dealers on the South and West side of the metro (one decent experience, one not), and had pretty much settled on purchasing a PA from one of them. Day came and I was still doing some due diligence on pricing. Figured I'd call Sun to get some pricing info from them to compare. Steve answered all my questions directly. After we spoke, I made the drive up to Sun and was very glad I did. Did a second test drive to confirm my decision, and went back through all the pricing info with Steve. Everything was the same as discussed on the phone, which was VERY competitive. Purchased the bike then and there, and I am very happy with my experience at Sun. read more

Not sure why it says this business is closed? I was just there over the weekend. Sun is a great Harley dealership. It is by no means the biggest one you'll see, however they do have a good selection of bikes, parts, and apparel. They also have a free breakfast every Saturday morning. I'm not talking cereal here folks. They do it up right. Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and orange juice!! How could you not appreciate that? This weekend they had the "Wall of Death", probably one of the coolest things I've seen. If you don't know what it is, I'd suggest you check it out sometime. I see a lot of negative reviews are for the service department. This review is for the sales guys as I have yet to deal with service, but that will be in the review below as well. These guys are the real deal... MSRP Dealership and not a DSRP dealership. I was contacting numerous dealerships looking for a used Fat Bob and this dealership had one at a descent price, so I contacted them. Note that I pass 3 other Harley dealerships just to get here and is about an hour drive from where I live. Sebastian called me right away and was very nice and helpful. I set up an appointment for the following day to come and take a look at the bike without any intention of buying. I get there and sit on the bike, but wasn't a fan of what the previous owner did with the paint. I started to browse at new 2021 Fat Bobs and started to like one particular color (Denim Green). I started to ask about fairings, side bags, etc, and he told me theres a bike with the same frame and everything with all the options I am looking for, and would be significantly cheaper than if I added all of those options individually to the Fat Bob. Sebastian recommended I went with the sport glide, but they didn't have the color in stock, but checked to see if they were getting one. I was crunched for time so I asked him to get me a quote on the bike and send it to me with the options of an upgraded exhaust, LED lights, etc. Later that evening he personally sent me a photo of a work order going over the price of parts and labor should I purchase that bike and even added a heavy discount to the buyers order. He then offered for me to come back and test ride the bike to see if it's something I even want to do. I come from a sport bike background and have never ridden a Harley or anything with forward controls. He even said that he spoke to the owner and the owner wanted to meet with me and show me around. I show up the next day and the color bike I wanted was in stock and I test rode that bike. Sebastian joined me on his own bike to show me around and that way I would feel comfortable. I am glad he did because I felt comfortable right away. The owner showed up and said hi and personally showed me around the entire dealership, sat down as they were penciling the deal, and even told the guy penciling the deal to give me great discounts and that he really wanted to take great care of me! They came back with a number I couldn't refuse including all parts and accessories installed. When I went to finance they offered a really great deal on a service contract that would save me hundreds to thousands of dollars so I would highly recommend taking that deal. I was in and out of the dealership including a test ride in the matter of a couple of hours. Very honest and upfront dealership, not pushy at all, they just want a chance to earn your business. Thanks again and I will be purchasing my future bikes from you! read more

I worked with Sebastian to get on a 2017 Dyna Lowrider S. From first contact to after the sale, Seb was kind, courteous and knowledgable. I was with the family doing some Christmas window shopping, trying to get a feel for what my wife wanted (you know, making a list and checking it twice). Well, I was trying to keep a list of items that my wife wanted for Christmas. Gail happened to bay in today, and she is always a great help, anytime we have questions, or are looking for something in particular. Anytime we go in there, we always drop around $200-$300.00 in clothing/apparel. Now, usually I am on top of it, and take pictures of the items that my wife likes, but not this time (go figure). So as luck would have it, I didn't make it back to the store until a week later. And thank goodness Gail was working, I went to the location of the times I was looking for and the weren't there (I was freaking out). Gail came over, and thank goodness she remembered me. I explained what I was looking for, and where they items were located. Gail advised me that they had moved the clothing apparel around in the store, but was quick to tell me where everything had been moved to (Thank God). We both had a laugh, and I was able to get the items that I had come in for (with the exception of the new Street Glide that I had been eyeing), lesson learned, LOL. Now, as I mentioned before, we have been in this dealership several times before, and it is always a pleasure to talk to Gail, and have her assist us with any of our questions and needs. She always makes it a pleasure full experience! ! ! ! ! read more

I would not recommend Sun Harley-Davidson for anything. They treat their employees like shit, they fired people with families just before the holidays. one of their employees was not doing well in motorcycles sales so they fired the manager in clothing so they could move the other person back into clothing where that person started from. The GM there is the worst to work for He does not treat employee very well unless he likes you. There salesman will tell you what ever you want to hear to make you feel like your getting a great deal. then just like any salesmen once the sell you the bike that's it your done. They stop answering your call, never return your calls. they act like there your friend put on a fake smile when you walk in to make you feel welcome and stab you in the back and talk shit about you when you leave. They have there click and if your not part of it your fucked. no I'm not a disgruntle employee just used to go in there a lot until I heard things from other people and seen for myself. read more

Due to a stupid accident in the garage, I found myself in need of a new front fender for my 2015 Limited (Black, a' course). Called Sun Parts and talked to a gent that got me fixed right up with exactly everything I needed and nothing I didn't. I Have to say that Sun H-D has the friendliest folks I've ever run into in any business, let alone a Harley Dealership - and I'm an old fart now and have seen quite a few, just so ya know! I picked up the parts and headed back downstairs and there was the General Manager AND the owner who very graciously introduced themselves, asked how everything went etc. I was treated like I was in the market to buy the whole business instead of the parts. Incredibly refreshing and gratifying to say the least! I can remember WAY back when, when that was the norm. It's been many a long decade since I've seen it, though. And again, this has to be the most extreme example of 'em all. If you're in the market for a bike, then I can't recommend Sun Harley Davidson highly enough. I bought my Limited from this Dealership and Reed Holmes, the Sales Manager, treated me just like I was treated today. Gave me a smokin' deal while he was at it, BTW. I have no experience whatsoever with their Service Department, so I can't speak for that. I do all my own wrenching, so I've never had the need. If ya drop by to check the place out, ask for Reed, tell him what you want, and you're good to go. One other thing, I did buy a great rain suit at their very well-stocked Apparel Dept. and... Do I REALLY have to write it all again? Who could ask for more? Nobody, that's who! Disclaimer: NO! Nobody paid me to write this! They earned every word through their excellent service! 'Nuff said. read more

I've been to quite a few Harley dealers over the years and they pretty much all are similar. Each dealer has its own branded t-shirt stock which I've collected as I go on trips. Otherwise though, they're almost like fast food joints in the gear they have available. Sun HD is no exception. They have a large dealership that's separate from the main Sun Enterprises dealership next door. The dealer is large and airy. They stock the standard Harleys and Buells and have a few customs they've taken in trade. The riding gear is well stocked with leather jackets, boots, and even HD branded stuffed animals and kids sized shirts and jackets. I bought my Harley Storm boots from them and they're the best. I have going on 150,000 miles on my pair since I bought them in 2004 and they're starting to show their age a little. The parts and bike gear department upstairs is nicely stocked with Harley branded add-ons and do-dads for your bike. Chrome floorboards, 3' tassels for your handlebars, and fringed saddlebags. I brought my Harley Softail in for the 40,000 mile check and to have the seals replaced (I'd hit a big bump back in Virginia) and when I got it back, I was a little concerned because my right turn signal kept rotating clockwise. It turns out the mechanic that worked on the forks neglected to tighten the turn signal stalk sufficiently. I took it back primarily because if one nut is loose, there may be more. The shop did a fine job accepting responsibility and having a mechanic go over the entire bike, making sure all nuts and bolts were correctly fastened. The sales guys seemed a little unsure about the Buell stock and kept trying to steer me over to the Sportster even though I rode in on a Hayabusa and was really interested in looking at the Buell. I think they still have some animosity towards anything not Harley. read more

I am far from an expert, in anything to do with motorcycles- buying and shopping for them - Or even riding them.. ha ha ha. I recently got my license ( kind of a early bucket list thing) and decided to buy a bike. I went around to several stores looking, and looking, and not knowing what to go... get used? ... get new?... Harley?... Honda??? Ugh. My experience here was pretty good. I was shown bikes, we talked about new vs used and I fell in love with a Iron 883 - brand new. I HATE when I do that. Anyways, aside from a few small delays on MY part while securing financing, i had my bike in my drive at the end of the next day... which was a Saturday... which reminds me to say... Saturdays are very very very very busy... but it FEELS like a good kind of busy. Outside people were having a cook-out of some type.. and really just enjoying themselves. After final details on the deal, i left with a few H-D shirts, cleaner for my bike, and a hearty welcome to the club. People- strangers- were supportive and friendly- as I prepared to take off with my bike - and by that I mean my friends husband who drove it the 33 miles to my house because I was still a little hesitant to ride the freeway.... (baby steps)... making me feel really good about my purchase. So far, so good. I only got to take it out one Sunday due to heavy rains around here... but am looking forward to riding, and then coming back here for maintenance and apparel needs in the future.... read more

This review is for Harley purchases, not parts...as I haven't dealt with those guys yet. But, I'm sure I will after the great experience I had during my purchase.I just bought a "pre-owned" 2000 Heritage Softail from Sun and I couldn't be more pleased. I've "drooled" for years over buying a Harley, but always thought they were out of reach, financially. REED HOLMES is the sales guy to go to at Sun, if you are shopping or even thinking of shopping for a new or used Harley. Just tell him what you are interested in, and he will email you when they get trade-ins...the good ones go quick and he will notify you ASAP with pics. He has the experience and knowledge to help you make informed decisions and is just an all around "super-cool-nice-guy." Reed rocks! I felt little to no pressure at all when wandering their showroom, and I really felt like they just wanted me to be happy with my purchase, which is what it's all about. It worked, and I am. Not impressed. Been to a lot of HD dealers across the nation. Stopped by to pick up a t-shirt. Motor clothes section seemed to have no real order and was boy/girl/boy/girl everywhere. Stupid bullshit twangy country blaring over the entire store. Even if it wasn't bullshit country, it was a bit loud. I like loud rock, but the Hee-Haw station and DJ they had on made me want to kick small animals. Good thing NONE of the sales staff approached me at that point! I've bought a few motorcycles from different dealers, and this is the first time I've written a positive review. I bought a 2016 Street Bob in August of 2016. My salesman Walter and sales manager Mick were very straight forward with me in assisting my purchase of a motorcycle. They didn't play games with me like some other dealerships around town *cough AVALANCHE cough cough* Their shipping and handling fees are much lower that Avalanches, and their prices are not jacked up MSRP prices like Avalanche tends to do. Overall, one of the easiest vehicle/motorcycle purchases I've ever made. The sales staff went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of and found me the best rate on my loan. Definitely would buy another bike from them, and will I'm sure once this one is paid off. Don't waste your time at Avalanche. Go here first. read more
