If you need to replace tires on your motorcycle, make sure you get other quotes. Performance quoted me $750 to install a set of tires on my BMW RT. BMW dealer did it for $565 (and I got a rebate of $75) for the same tires. I don't understand how an aftermarket shop can be almost $200 more to put on tires. read more

Well I will never return to this overpriced business for motorcycle parts and accessories. I believe My grandson needed a helmet to drive his go kart and I didn't know he had one already. So I tried to return the unopened helmet. This place doesn't return helmets ONLY store credit??read the fine print because no sales person told me that information. It's hurts me to leave this review. I always look to spend my money at the "smaller" mom and pop shops of any kind over the large chains. But today, Evan disappointed me with the customer service... or lack thereof. Bought a pair of dirt bike socks and the first time I put them on one of the socks ripped at the seam; no rides in them! I brought them back to exchange and Evan told me he would not replace socks. As someone just getting back into dirt bikes, I hoped this would be "my shop" for all the gear, clothing, helmet, parts & service I needed to get back out on the trails. I'm new to riding and not very informed. I went in today to size myself on some gear and Travis found me on the sales floor. He was the absolute biggest help! He must've spent an hour providing much appreciated information and education; giving me information on all things boot, riding pants, riding jacket, helmets, and performance ratings. I didn't go in planning to spend a lot of money today and I left succeeding in doing so but I had to clarify with the friendly and helpful women at the sales counter that their team isn't working on commission, they don't. My daughter received an electric scooter last Christmas. It has been her absolute favorite item of all time. She rides it everywhere and has loved the freedom it provides. However, a month or so ago, her tire got a flat. To put it mildly, my husband and I discovered it was no easy task to even remove the tire (let alone replace it). Numerous calls to the manufacturer, tutorials, etc. and we successfully cut off half but couldn't get the other half off, no matter how hard we tried. Someone recommended Performance Cycle. And thanks to the skill of the tire specialist, Austin, he removed it and even put the new one on (I don't even think he used any tools to do so). And bonus? They didn't even charge me. Bought a helmet at this shop. Was told when buying that, as long as I didn't wear the helmet and left the stickers on it, it was eligible for a refund - which was confirmed by my friend who was there when i purchase it. Today, i went to the store to get the refund. The store clerk was very condescending and said "I know you were told this many times when you bought this that you couldn't get a refund." I'm a pretty honest person. I wouldn't drive 30 min to the store and try to "game the system." He ended up giving me a gift card. I didn't argue - if i did, he probably would've made me keep the helmet. i'm only giving this shop 3 stars because the guy who originally sold it to me was super helpful and genuine. Make sure you are completely clear with this business about their return policy on each item. read more

Performance Cycle is already established as my go-to shop for riding gear: jackets, helmets, boots, etc., but I hadn't really gotten deep into their Parts section until today. I was looking all over for a certain type of grease to keep my moto-resto project going, and ever exhausting all the options close to my house, it occurred to me that I should call these guys. Yep, they had what I was looking for, so I made the trek out there to make the pickup. I ended finding every single specialty oil and grease needed for my project, and also perused their after-market parts section a bit. I recognized many of the same turn indicators, footpegs, grips, etc that are out there on sites like Dime City, and all comparably priced. They also carry large decals from most of the major brands out there, which I'll be back for once it's time to paint the gas tank on my project bike. Great service is a given here - one of the gents in the Parts department was more than happy to do some quick internet research to ensure that the final drive oil I had picked out was the right specification for my bike. Bottom line: I love this place and feel fortunate to have them in town for all my motorcycle needs. Well worth the drive. read more

This is a motorcyclist's wonderland. There's plenty of stuff for every kind of rider, lot of the gear is all from good brands. They're well organized and lots of helpful staff around to help you out. There's literally every single thing you'll need for your motorcycle. If they don't have it handy, they'll get it for you to pick up later. The only negative is that there is absolutely no loyalty or rewards or any sort of discount whatsoever. The price you pay is pretty much what you would pay online at Revzilla or STG. So then you wonder, do you really need to drive all the way, when the stuff ships free to your doorstep? Fun Fact: They have a nice Kawasaki ZH2R on display. Its a limited edition, one of very few in the world. You can check it out as soon as you enter the store. Plenty of parking. No one else in the Denver area had one in stock and the ones we ordered for shipping are coming after Thanksgiving. We installed the one I picked up today and it works perfectly. This is my "Go To" place for getting geared up with anything I need for riding season. I've purchased several items here, from Dainese riding pants, to a Shoei RF-1200 helmet and even a Klim Apex jacket. The staff have been very friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to offer advice or just let you browse/shop. They even have a large service area, which I have not used as of yet, but will be doing so when I need to replace my tires. I'm from Nevada, visiting my daughter in Boulder. I drove to try on a Klim Krios Pro helmet as everyone was out of them. Dave was helping me and called Klim twice to check on drop ship dates for me, his initiative. Dave was awesome! Everyone was awesome!! Love this place, well stocked (!) and well laid out. Super knowledgeable staff, and at least Dave was quick to call in an "expert" (Chris) when I was looking outside his area (I have a knee injury and skipped over to the "dirt" area to try braces... Dave stuck around and learned). **ALSO, Prices in store are lower than they can advertise online, lower than anyone is advertising online for my items.** I ended up trying on the Klim pants and then going with a different model Klim that Dave recommended, $20 cheaper and better suited to my riding. And after trying in 4 knee braces, I found the perfect one for me. I also got a ton of information from Dave on Sena and Cardo products for next paycheck. It's hard to write reviews that depict a business is being bad. Don't get me wrong there are some great employees. Time and time again you run into a place that just does things wrong and I feel I should share them. I can start off by saying that I've cleaned my rims every time I get my tires changed. So I can see if there's been any damage done by a technician. At one point they did just that. They had an individual that worked behind the counter and simply put was belligerent and disrespectful to me and stated that there was no way that that could've happened. I spoke with Lance the owner son about this. Lance asked me multiple times what I wanted to do I told him that it's in his best interest to offer me what he thinks is correct. He covered the cost of my rear tire and then told me that they would powder coat my rear tire during the off-season (winter) so that I would not be down. Later on I asked lance about this and said that they already covered it by giving me a free tire. Now if that was the original agreement I would've been fine. I had them write notes in the computer. I had Nicole their daughter confirm it in the computer. I'm shocked that when I brought the situation up at a later time Lance told me that they were not going to honor that. Next I ordered special order items. A replacement Akropvic aluminum sticker for my exhaust. It had become damaged and needed to be replaced. The sticker arrived I went to pick it up it was crinkled bent and damaged. A technicians that was assisting me stated that it was a special order and followed lances statement that this is a special order there is no returns or exchanges. Let me get this straight I order something and it's not even usable. I am shocked. Sure it's only $12.00 for this sticker. But nobody wants to buy damaged goods. Today would be the kicker I went to go purchase a new front tire as my other one had odd wearing patterns in it and I noticed that it was mounted backwards. I took the room up there it was clean there was no issues with it. They called me I picked up the tire and some rear brake pads. I got home and noticed that the tread was different from what my mind had remembered. Feeling frustrated from previous experiences at performance cycle. I ended up speaking with Lance I conveyed my frustration and the time that it would take me to drive there and come back and reinstall at the tire. Lance does not deal with people that are upset well. He gets choked up he has communication issues and then becomes defensive. I think if Lance just took a second and asked me some simple questions everything would've been rectified over the phone. Is there a small arrow that points the direction of the tire that you can see. Yes there is. Is it going in the right direction. And so on. I would've asked that question had I known that those arrows were on the tire. From there It would've been a simple fix. Coaching our customers with knowledge is probably the best thing that we can do. Lance never did that in any situation with them. He furthermore went to profess that they don't ever have problems like this. That I'm some sort of an anomaly. No business runs that perfect no person pays that much attention to everything that they do. I wish they did. The brake pads I also picked up at this point in time or not the correct ones. But because I've open them and because they're used/scratched from my attempt to install them. I can continue to go on with a few other issues that I've had at this particular location but I think that we all understand the point. read more

Your shop was recommended by a close friend of mine, and I couldn't be happier. I came in last Saturday just looking for a dirtbike helmet, but left with a whole setup! One of the sales guy jorden made the decisions a whole lot easier. we looked at a bunch of different options and settled on a fly helmet and some alpine boots. I keep trying to give these guys a chance to earn some business from me. I recently started looking into what a heated clothing setup would run me. It looks like it'd be close to $500 for a basic set with a vest and some gloves and the associated control hardware. I priced everything out online to get an idea and then called up Performance Cycle to see what sort of pricing they had. The customer rep I interacted with on the phone said they could put together a package discount but I'd have to come in store, "get everything on the computer", and then they'd be able to figure that out. Leaving work I was able to get there with 10 minutes to spare before closing. I was instantly greeted by another rep. I told them I knew what I was looking for and didn't want to keep them later than closing. They showed me the heated gear and I started asking questions around the setup and how it was wired. There was some stumbling in the answers but that's ok, I don't expect everyone to be an expert. At that time another rep came up and said they recognized me (helped me with some tire mounting a few weeks earlier) and that they were the one who had spoken to me on the phone earlier that day. The first rep wandered off to go help another individual. The new rep and I were talking once again about details and I was given an apologetic message about the other rep. First rep wanders around the corner and has a bit of attitude about knowing their stuff because they had worked the shop for years. /shrug - I don't even feel slighted by it but it certainly falls on the unprofessional side of the spectrum; given they were incorrect. Moving on. I ended up going up front to see what the damage would. I asked what they could do for a package deal as that's what I had been curious about on the phone (and told to come in store). After some nervous head movement from the rep, I was told they weren't able to discount and would have to talk to a manager. I assume that was Don. I was told second hand that they wouldn't be able to do a package price and they'd sell all of it easily in the coming months. OK, fine, not even mad - I get roped into coming down and given the old switcharoo. I believe it's just an over eager sales rep as opposed to anything malicious; still annoying. I don't think I ask for much. I already know the internet retailers are going to be more competitive in base price, total price (no additional tax), and return policy - but am usually willing to give the local guys a shot if they're willing to be even somewhat flexible. Even full retail isn't that inflamatory if the reps know what they're talking about. I could have ordered the exact setup I wanted online without having to deal with rush hour traffic, saving money, gas, and time. What a store! They literally have everything all in once place. I had been looking at a new jacket for months comparing and checking reviews online but had yet to actually try any on. I stopped by and they had all the jackets I'd been looking at in my size to try on. Then - the best part- when I picked one, one of their sales guys actually installed the upgraded armor and back protection for me! I was referred here with my husband saying they had good selection and good pricing, but the customer service was a little sketchy! My referer should have been with us today. We were shopping for helmets and intercom systems. Our firts approach was from Jarrett and he became the gold standard for customer service! He was very helpful, knew the products, went the extra mile to check inventory for the helmet (specifically size) I needed. His was the only person whose name I got, but glad I can recognize him on Yelp. As we wandered, discussed the products and made our decision, no fewer than 4 other folks came by to make sure we were doing ok and and the answers and information we needed.
